Elan Pizzeria in Northumberland

My Wife & I stumbled upon this place whilst wandering around Seahouses. We both wanted a light lunch instead of the usual fare on offer ie Fish & Chips. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant lady who showed us to a table in the rear area of the restaurant. There were already a few diners in & the place had a nice friendly atmosphere. My Wife ordered a Jacket Potato with Beans & Cheese & I ordered a Ham & Mushroom Pizza. We didn't have to wait too long, the food was cooked perfectly, the pizza was everything I hoped it would be. My Wife's food was just right, good portion size & very tasty. Upon finishing our meal we had a conversation with the lady owner who was utterly charming. Elan is a great little place which we would definitely recommend & would definitely go back to should we ever be in the area again.

Family run pizza restaurant just up the main road so we were able too eat with out booking friendly staff and tasty food would return

Amazingly nice staff even with not many they were willing to open the kitchen for a few more minutes just for us the food was also amazing the lady at the front desk was very nice I recommend you get a pizza or jacket potato. VERY GOOD 👍

Popped into Elan tonight for a takeaway and was not disappointed. They were about to close the kitchen after a long bank holiday weekend service but kept it open for our order. The pizza’s we ordered were 10/10 and I’ll definitely be returning. Staff were lovely and very welcoming!

Ate here twice during our week away. We have been coming to this restaurant for years and it's never given us a bad meal. Really friendly and delicious pizza. Sad that they have stopped doing 'bring your own' with the wine but the proprietor explained that a few thoughtless people had taken advantage of them (it was only £1 per bottle corkage), so it's not longer an option.

We’ve been to Elan a few times in the past, and it never disappoints. The lady front of house was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The pizzas were the best we’ve had in ages - my husband loved the Caprino, with goats cheese and pesto. Great value for money, and lovely to support a small family business.

Been to Elan many times and never fails to delight! They embrace my love of pineapple atop my pizza and the lady owner was whizzing around on her own managing the floor like a machine. Fabulous service, hospitality and the food is always delicious.

Busy little restaurant which serves one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. Thin crusty base with just the right amount of toppings. Milkshakes are good too

The food was really good, pasta well cooked, with excellent homemade sauce, the restaurant was quiet (cold Tuesday night), atmosphere was fine, the music a bit random. My only gripe was the small glass of soda and lime @ £3.00, seems somewhat pricey!!

We dined out at Elan on a Tuesday evening, which was fairly quiet, but it was only Tuesday. The various foods looked great as it was being served at the tables. We ordered a pizza & a lasagne both of which looked great & tasted WoW! The service was good and the restaurant is casual, which I like & very nicely appointed. A real winner & somewhere I would highly recommend 👍

I ordered takeaway, I turned up, front of house spoke to the Chef and he said 5 mins, sure enough it was 5 mins and the Pizzas were lovely. Highly reccommended

The best gluten free pizza I've ever eaten. The gf pizza base was on a par with the regular bases, the toppings were excellent and the overall price was very good too. Note that from 1st November 2023 the restaurant is no longer offering bring your own booze. That very much wouldn't deter me from visiting again.

My wife and I have just finished what I consider to be the most amazingly wonderful pizzas we have ever had. And they came from Elan. Hot, beautifully put together, and absolutely delicious. We have eaten in Elan, and often have their product as a take-away. But know this. For value for money and excellence in product, Elan is just right.

We had takeaway pizzas while on holiday. Absolutely beautiful! Some of the best pizza we have had. They were all piping hot, even with our 5 minute drive back to the holiday house. We rang to order and arranged a time to collect. Particularly recommend the Kiev pizza and the goats cheese pizza with pesto. Our only complaint is that the garlic bread was a bit dry; would try it with cheese next time

Had takeaway pizzas was a bit disappointed on the size for the price when they say thin they mean very thin did taste OK but not worth the price the cheese cake was nice but again small for price such a shame but would pass it by next time

Having not booked in advance we walked in and luckily they were able to accommodate us. My husband had a chicken tikka pizza and I had the duck pizza, service was super quick, both were excellent and the ice creams we had for dessert were delicious. Would definitely recommend the Elan and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Possibly the fastest I’ve ever been seated, ordered, served and paid in any restaurant. No sooner we’re we seated we were asked to order and still eating the starter when the pizzas arrived - unbelievable. In and out in around 50 mins is not my idea of a relaxing dinner out. The Pizza was better than average, certainly better than the well known chains but it was spoilt by the ridiculous speed and churn.

Really amazing range of pizzas here cooked very well. Great restaurant. Bit deceiving, as it doesn't look much from the outside but one of the best places in Seahouses in my view.

As we were camping nearby, we popped in here one evening to pick up some pizzas. The pizzas were delicious with plenty of toppings. We didn’t eat in but the dining area looked very welcoming.

We got a takeaway from here The pizza was quite underwhelming and the lasagne didn't taste like it had been freshly cooked. .at these prices we did expect more Quite disappointing

Lovely spot, friendly staff, reasonable prices. However, the pizza just did not do it for me. The base was like a.flat bread with no air, it almost appeared to be pre-cooked and not at all fresh.

We ordered 4 pizzas and some dough balls to takeaway. The wait was 15 minutes which was reasonable and when we returned at the allotted time our order was just being boxed up. Our order was accurate and of excellent quality. The staff member we dealt with was very friendly. I would certainly I sit again.

Simply excellent. I wasn't expecting much, but this was the best Italian meal I've had for years. Very friendly service. Great food: traditional Rome-style pizza with tasty lasagne. Highly recommend.

Dark and dingy place, can’t see the menu never mind anyone else! Pizza came in 5 minutes, forgot the drinks and I had to search for the toppings we asked for. We felt rushed and didn’t rate thr taste the amount or oregano on my pizza was over the top! Would not return

Ordered 3 pizzas. Fajita pizza, very basic. Vegetarian pizza, superb and the meat feast, very poor. Put in a 12" box but all probably 10", so for over £40 total rip off. The meat feast was basically minced spicy sausage with a few bits of dried chicken thrown on. Must say we were really disappointed after reading the reviews, very basic pizzas 😠

I can see why this is the best rated restaurant in Seahouses. It might not be the poshest of restaurants, but for a small seaside town, it's a perfectly lovely down to earth place that serves pizzas far better than you'd expect and with great friendly staff. We arrived in town and hadn't decided where to eat, turns out the choices were fish and chips, places with overly fancy foods that didn't appeal or Elan, a pizzeria with a great range of options so there would be something for anyone who liked pizza. So we asked if they could fit us in as we hadn't booked and we were in luck, if we finished before 19:30, which was plenty of time. Still, we skipped starters and went for the main course as we wanted dessert as well. I had a meat feast, and my wife had that one with the egg on it. Have to say the meat feast was spicier than expected but not too much, about at the right spot for a hot meal. My wife enjoyed her pizza so much that she didn't have space for dessert, so I thought I'd be good and skip it too. Plus, I couldn't decide between chocolate fudge cake and waffles, so that made it easier. Would definitely go there again.

Oh my goodness amazing pizzas! These must be the best pizzas I have ever had. They even make gluten free pizzas the same size as their regular ones! Also the staff here are so friendly. I cannot recommend Élan Pizzeria highly enough.

We went on the off chance after reading the reviews only 1 table had customers we were told we could only stay an hour yet other customers 2 separate tables came in after us also without booking and no restrictions were put on them we felt very rushed tiramisu was nice but expensive. If staying in or near Seahouses, do not miss this fabulous pizza palace. As if the pizzas were not enough ( they look good, taste good and are excellent value) you cannot fail to be impressed by the energy and hospitality of the staff on both sides of the counter. A table by the food prep area is an experience in itself. Top marks for quality, value and sheer energy . Dont missit.

Four of us including one veggie had an excellent evening here. Great crispy pizzas, fast and friendly service and the BYOB option was the icing on the cake. Totally recommended.
