Early on a Saturday night and vibrant atmosphere, food delicious and outstanding service … what more could you ask for?

We had a set 3 course lunch with wine. We went in for a Happy Hour lunch. Changed our minds when we saw the fabulous menu. So delicious

We had a table booked for 6pm and the service was very friendly, quick and efficient. The food was first class and cooked to perfection. Will definitely return.

This is the best Italian restaurant in which we have ever eaten, even better than restaurants actually in Italy. Not only is the food first class and excellent value, the staff can’t do enough for you and are incredibly friendly. Decent wine list. Only downside was the very limited choice of non-alcoholic drinks. We’re about 25 miles away but will be back there again and again. P.S. the gamberoni starter is to die for!

We went here after a football match for our local team after reading the many positive reviews, and were not disappointed. There were many inviting dishes on the menu but I settled for the black pudding in peppercorn sauce and beef stroganoff whilst my wife had blue cheese mushrooms and Carbonara. Our lad had the most amazing pizza. All served very attentively and promptly. All in all, a great experience which went some way to making up for the disappointing result of the football!

Literally the best restaurant in the North East, book early to avoid disappointment, I cannot tell you how good the food and service are at Lollo's, you have to try it for yourself, The Best!!!! Can't wait for their new venture, it will be gorgeous also I bet x

It can be hard to get a decent meal in Morpeth in time to get to the 6:30 concert during the Morpeth Gathering. Lollo Rosso proved to be the solution. We booked for 5pm at the start of their happy hour and were whisked to a table by the window which also had space to stack musical instruments without cluttering up the restaurant. Our one course meal came with speedy, efficient service and understanding that we had to pay and run at the end to get to the Town Hall for 6. We must return for a more leisurely meal another time.

Table of eight. We waited 2 hours for food to be served. No reductions on the bill just free drinks to make up for diabolical service. Reputation seems to have superseded basic service here sadly. Last Lollo visit for us!

This super friendly and welcoming restaurant was full at 19.40 when I popped in during an overnight business stay but I was told a table would be available in 20 minutes. Enjoyed a lovely meal with wonderful service.

Not been for a while but will definitely be back very soon. Busy restaurant but staff were friendly and a lovely atmosphere . Food was just delicious especially the seafood risotto which had lots of prawns and salmon. Pizzas were delicious with plenty topping and perfectly cooked base. Reasonably priced and an all round good experience.

Not been to Lollo for a while but will be back soon! The food was delicious and despite being very busy the staff were attentive. My partners pizza was loaded with topping and the base cooked perfectly while my seafood risotto was full of flavour and had ample salmon &prawns in it. The place was full with a few big party tables but we were seated upstairs which was a little quieter. This is a gem of a restaurant for Morpeth.

First time visiting last night and can't wait to go back. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming with amazing service. The food was delicious! Huge portion sizes, wide variety of choice and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly, happy, sociable and definitely enhanced the whole experience. Drinks on the house were offered simply to make your night better, recommendations for cocktails were provided and they always hit the spot. Cannot recommend this place enough, we will be back frequently.

Good location, pizza nice, salmon tasty but seems a bit overpriced for what it was. Great stuff creating nice atmosphere. Overall would recommend.

1st time trying here, and gotta say the atmosphere was great and the staff were really friendly . Even though they were clearly packed out they still took time to have a few words and make you feel special. Our food was good but a couple of things let it down. We started with garlic bread but it was lacking on the garlic. All our mains were good though the monkfish was quite a small portion for the price, but was tasty. We ordered the homemade tiramisu, now this was really disappointing ,was just a bowl of whipped cream. The profiteroles however were lovely. Overall lovely night with really good atmosphere, a little overpriced but we did enjoy it.

We love dining here when visiting Morpeth. Some dishes are very expensive, but plenty are reasonably priced. The atmosphere is wonderful, Enrico is so very welcoming, and the service is excellent. Booking is advised.

We’ve been here a lot but not for a little while. Atmosphere was good although very noisy! Staff were really friendly and efficient hence the 3 stars the food and drinks were what let it down , goats cheese was beautiful but risotto lacked creaminess and substance it tasted more like rice in a minestrone soup. My husbands pasta was under cooked he likes it al dente but this was dried pasta undercooked with a very salty sauce with no body . Come on you’re an Italian you’ve got to get your pasta dishes right. No excuse at the prices you’re charging not to be serving fresh pasta. Now for the drinks , my aperol was very watery not much aperol in and only tasted of soda at £9 a pop you expect it to taste nice . My friend had a pink gin which you couldn’t even tell was pink gin it was that watered down . This used to be my favourite Morpeth restaurant please don’t let your standards slip . I’ll try you once again and if it’s no better we’ll be going elsewhere .

After several less than wonderful dining experiences locally in recent weeks, how glad I am to report that Lollo Rosso continues to give their customers a first rate experience. From the initial welcome to the fond farewell, the team does a fantastic job in delivering a great service. Lunch for four yesterday (28th Feb) was a delight and very good value at £18.95 per person for three courses. Well done to all; I cannot recommend Lollo Rosso highly enough !

Probably the most over rated restaurant in North East., pizzas are as average as you can get, pasta is never fresh made or Al dente and after trying 4 different pasta dishes I wouldnt ever order 1 again. Chicken dishes are nice but prices are around 25 to 30 % more than every where else . Managers always friendly and helpful, water staff can be condescending tho. Atmosphere is usually good but far too overpriced for what the quality is

This restaurant has a great atmosphere that comes from the attentive staff and the excellent food. I was very happy with the service and the food I had when I last ate there. I asked for the meat to be removed from a pasta sauce I had ordered (I'm a vegetarian) and it was no trouble at all. As I said before, the food here is excellent.

Travelled 45mins for a meal at Lolo Rosso on a Tuesday night ! The place was half empty and we were turned away at the door. I pointed out numerous tables that were empty and the ‘rude boy’ on the desk said they were for parties - on a Tuesday night after 8pm in February - really !! Very annoyed and disappointed

Excellent....didn't plan to eat here for lunch but very glad we did. We turned up without a reservation just after opening, the place wasn't that busy and there was only one spare table left. We got it! Within 20 minutes the place was buzzing, a great atmosphere and just a lovely place to sip a chilled glass of vino and soak up the surroundings. The service as impeccable, the staff are friendly and efficient, a credit to the owners. The food was delicious, well presented, well seasoned, just fab. Now we know about this place we'll definitely make the journey south for another visit. Looking forward to that already.

Went here for dinner and generally really enjoyed it and would definitely go again. The food was fantastic, both the pizza and pasta we had, plus the potato skins were amazing. There was a couple of small issues with the service that marred it a little bit, firstly we heard everyone around us get asked if they would like parmesan on their pasta, but we weren't, and we ordered a bread basket but he didnt seem to take this in and we didnt get it Would go again however and take advantage of happy hour again also

Definitely a special place to visit on your birthday, as soon as you enter the premises you are made to feel at home. Service is excellent very friendly staff members, food is exceptional and prices can't be matched. Very good experience 👌👌

This was the first time I had visited Lollo Rosso, and my first impressions were good. Warm friendly atmosphere with a good mixture of music being played. Our table was booked for 20:30 with the order taken fairly quickly. However, it was another 1.5 hours before we actually received our main course, which seems a little excessive. The staff were apologetic and gave us some free drinks to compensate for the delay. The food was nice so there were no complaints there just a little slow to arrive. The menu was comprehensive with a good selection of choices. I did see some vegetarian options if that's your thing. Prices were competitive, and it worked out at about £20 per head for the main course. I would recommend this restaurant but maybe go through the week when it's not as busy.

From the initial walk in you have a wow factor! The polite first meeting by the staff whilst awaiting a table due to our early arrival was very welcoming. The service was impeccable as was the food in a no rush relaxed atmosphere the attentive behaviour of the staff was excellent and far from over bearing. We will return! We were lucky to get a table this evening. Was drawn in by the Christmas lights and decorations and not disappointed. Such a warm and cosy atmosphere. The place was busy and yet we felt welcomed, the staff going the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and not just another table to serve. Quick service and we ordered a few extras after the main order which came very swiftly. Great food, keen to try more on the menu on the next visit. We will definitely return- would probably reserve a table the next time just in case. Thank you for your great service .

As a family we were in Morpeth visiting family friends and a table was booked for our arrival. Wow........ was absoultely brilliant and i wish we had one where we live. They catered for my young child even off the adult menu as he wanted a steak and that wasn't on the childrens menu. The presentation of the meals was fantastic and when next in Morpeth we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great meal.

Booked last minute to share a celebratory meal with my husband. I must say we were made to feel special from the moment we arrived until we left. The servers were incredibly attentive, kind and humorous. The food was delicious, the wine reasonably priced and the whole vibe is beautiful. We were given a free starter, celebratory drinks, had a very memorable evening and will certainly be back. Thank you.

Went as a birthday meal from my partner and love this place. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. We had an issue with our mains coming as it took an hour for them but the staff couldn't of been anymore apologetic and gave us free cocktails as an apology. This would of been enough but the owner then discounted our bill. The place was really busy when we got there and the staff were working so hard yet still have their time to interact with their guests. Thank you for a lovely birthday meal

We visited Morpeth for a short break and decided to eat here based on the reviews. It absolutely did not disappoint, the food came out quickly and piping hot, and every element was extremely tasty with high quality ingredients. Every member of staff was bright, happy and welcoming. Big thanks to Colin especially who looked after us so well and made our experience even better. Will definitely return if we are ever in the area again!

Excellent food and service. A lot of staff but all very friendly and attentive. We had a mix of starters and mains including pizzas which were all excellent and they were happy to accommodate any dietary changes to what was on the menu.

We normally have a really nice time here unfortunately tonight we didn't, the lasagna my wife ordered was dumped on the table in front of her by a sullen young woman, we then had to ask for parmesan cheese as she had stormed off and we had to ask what turned out to be the manager for assistance which he straight away as he is always very professional, unfortunately my wife's meal had not been cooked properly and then to make matters worse we were then over charged for our starter's. So we have decided to give Lollos a miss for a while or maybe longer which is a shame as we have had some lovely times here.

Difficult to understand how this restaurant has such a high rating. The food was edible but underwhelming - the pizza crust was tough and the meatballs were bland. Grubby menus, irritating music, and quite poor service: slow, unfriendly, and brusque. It’s a generic “Italian” in a small town, so perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised, but overall this was a very disappointing experience.

Great food service, but extortionately overpriced. Not value

We were a large party of 30, booked well in advance, it took 15 mins from arrival to get a drink ordered and another 15 to receive it and this timescale continued throughout the evening. I ordered the scallop starter at a cost of £14.50, 3 very small scallops with a miniscule slither of salmon, drenched in sauce with nothing to mop it up with, three mouthfuls at best. My partner ordered a bread basket and as other places, was expecting a variety but was just plain white bread and rock hard butter. Mains - my penne carbonara was not al dente but rock hard and my partners pizza was forgotten completely and I'd finished by the time it eventually arrived. The staff seemed more interested in cleaning tables than making sure our party were taken care of. Considering the bill was best part of £1000 I expected better service and quality overall.

Place looks nice from the outside and the inside is a bustling and lively Italian restaurant. Loads of staff milling about mean service is fast and efficient. Busy place with a really big mix of customers from young to old. Food arrived quickly and the ingredients look high quality to me. Results of that being good food. Very busy atmosphere and you can go park for free over the bride. Good stuff keep up the good work.

This place is a little Gem. We stopped in Morpeth on our way home, popped in just on the off chance they had a table. The pizzas and pasta we all had were amazing. The best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The owner charming. I don’t normally write reviews, however the food AND the service were outstanding, I felt the need to. Wish there was a Lollo Rosso Italia in Hampshire.

Stopped for a meal here on way back from Wallington with wife and son. Came in just before 1730 on weekday and was quite busy. Quickly seated and service very attentive. Didn't have to wait long for food to arrive once ordered. Meal was well presented and tasty. Everyone enjoyed. Very nice experience. Recommended and would happily return if in the area. Safe bet for a pleasant meal out.

First time visiting and we loved it, food was delicious and I can't wait to try more off the menu. Service was fantastic, very friendly staff. Only reason I dropped a star on atmosphere was the noise, for a restaurant I found it very noisy but that's not the staffs fault.

We enjoyed two great meals at Lollo Rosso when we visited for a holiday. The whole atmosphere was warm and buzzing from the moment we entered. It was lovely to see that it is a popular restaurant with locals as well as tourists and we were treated with the same warmth and hospitality. We enjoyed pasta dishes which were very reasonably priced and really tasty! We will recommend to anyone visiting the area, and hopefully we will return when we’re next in the area!

You always know a restaurant is worth a visit when it is pretty packed on a mid weekday. The Lollo Rosso was no exception, great food, service and atmosphere. It was my wife's birthday and they came over and made it fun by singing H.B. and placing their 'Birthday Hat' on her head. Good fun and Laughs for all.
