The best restaurants in Bridges Gateshead North East

I called in for a quick pick me up espresso I ordered a double it arrived very quickly the chap behind the bar was very efficient and polite.

Ordered food on the app to be picked up and was told on the app the food would be 15 minutes. I was given the option to pay by cash I went to pick up my order 20 minutes later to be told they hadn’t started the order. There was literally no one in the restaurant and there was no activity going on the kitchen. I’m guessing this was lack of trust incase I didn’t turn up. I then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to cook the food from scratch when I was there. When we ate the food, I was amazed at how poor quality the food was. I ordered a madras and it had a weird taste and was ridiculously hot. I like a hot curry but there were no other flavours going on. The 2 chicken bhunas had very little flavour and the nan breads were not cooked properly and were quite raw. The chicken tikka starter was half decent. First time I have used these due to other restaurants being closed on a Monday night. Without doubt the worst Indian takeaway I have EVER had.

The bar offers stunning views of Newcastle. The service is charming.

Been quite a few times now and tried different items for lunch from the menu, the jacket potatoes are gorgeous, service is always great,lovely lunch every time I'm visiting Gateshead. Great place to go !

We were on our way to the Glasshouse and decided to try here beforehand. We were not disappointed. Service was fantastic and the food was amazing. It will definitely not be our last visit and I would def recommend.

If your dishwasher broken ,you should tell your customer before they pay you.When you ordered sit in drink ,they charge sit in drink fees and give you paper cup ,and no sorry ,poker face, it seems you shouldn’t question why you got paper cup. When I check all the comments of the store , found the dishwasher broken long time ago. I guess they just want to save energy cost ,water fees and reduce staff member . Don’t come here ,if you want to paper cup coffee or tea , just go to next door Greggs ,it’s much cheaper and all staff are polite.If you want to proper service,just go to the opposite Tesco ,you will very happy experience in Tesco cafe.

When I approached DJ he wouldn't let me sing 10:45 pm wouldnt let us sing it doesn't close till 10 to 12 people want to come home with ms & my husband which is wrong I bet if I were here earlier I would of got songs on the DJ is getting strict does he not understand I am the best not been big headed think they can do what they want this is a comment I'm not coming here no more after tonight ⁷/ 2 /25 you better believe it

We visited Träkol for Sunday lunch and we left very satisfied. We started with some fresh oysters and Bloody Mary. The main course, roast beef, was perfectly cooked (medium rare), delicious and tender, and came with all the trimmings which were equally scrumptious, especially the cauliflower cheese. I would go back and certainly recommend a visit.

Went for cavery and told ran out of food an hour before carvery finished, should of told us when we rang and booked, disapproving and wont be going back,

Absolutely awful was having a good night with my family and fiancé I asked for one more drink they said no bcs they’d already done last calls but then 2 mins later one of the bartenders yelled last calls and I said oh okay can I get this drink and they said no my mum asked why they said I was bouncing around to much yet all the others I was with were bouncing around to I personally think they are rude and I and going to take it further bare in mind I am autistic and me having fun is me being “too drunk” and then my partner stuck up for me and she got kicked out when she had half a drink that was paid for left

Unbelievable food, attention to detail on the sandwiches in particular is nuts. The los pollos hermanos is a proper stand out, the best. Allrounder

I ordered the chicken tikka biryani and garlic keema naan and it was amazing! The biryani was flavorful with tender pieces of chicken, perfectly spiced and full of aroma. The garlic keema naan was soft, warm, and packed with delicious filling. Both dishes were satisfying and really hit the spot. Highly recommend this place for a tasty Indian takeaway!
