Ordered food on the app to be picked up and was told on the app the food would be 15 minutes. I was given the option to pay by cash I went to pick up my order 20 minutes later to be told they hadn’t started the order. There was literally no one in the restaurant and there was no activity going on the kitchen. I’m guessing this was lack of trust incase I didn’t turn up. I then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to cook the food from scratch when I was there. When we ate the food, I was amazed at how poor quality the food was. I ordered a madras and it had a weird taste and was ridiculously hot. I like a hot curry but there were no other flavours going on. The 2 chicken bhunas had very little flavour and the nan breads were not cooked properly and were quite raw. The chicken tikka starter was half decent. First time I have used these due to other restaurants being closed on a Monday night. Without doubt the worst Indian takeaway I have EVER had.

Ive been using this takeaway for c.10years now and never had a bad meal from them. The staff are very friendly and polite and the food is excellent quality and value. My fave is a Chicken Begham Bahar Special (chunks of chicken, mince, chick peas etc) Garlic Rice, and a chapati washed down with a cold glass of beer. Try Khans and you will never go anywhere else for Indian food.

To change from our normal Saturday night Chinese takeaway, we opted for Indian cuisine, our daughter recommended Khan's The chicken jalfrezi was nice and spicy, the king prawn pathia had a generous amount of prawns, the onion bhajis and garlic nan were tasty. Delivery was on time despite this being a very popular establishment. Would definitely recommend.

We have used this Indian takeaway several times now and the food is very nice. We ordered through Just Eat, on a collection basis.. We ordered two meals the chicken Madras and the Chicken Tikka Khakhra, served with both chicken pilau and garlic pilau rice. Both were really very nice with plenty spice heat, which we like in a Indian curry. The meal was ready for collection on time. The only downside was that there was no Covid 19 restrictions in place when I entered the takeaway restaurant. No masks were worn by the front of house staff, no hand sanitizer available, no plastic screen on the counter. It was like a normal day without Covid 19. But the food was very good and would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g1643227-d17712814-r778178677-Khans_Tandoori-Sunniside_Gateshead_Tyne_and_Wear_England.html#

Since moving to Stanley we have tried them all... it is a sadness when you move that you lose your favourites, but after 10 years of trying, Khans is now our winner and 'go to' restaurant.

We returned to Khans Tandori Indian takeaway because of there very nice ,hot and spicy cuuries. This time we had the chicken Shalimar, and chicken zaprani, chicken tikka khakhr, and the Amrich khana chicken, served with four rices, veg pilau, tikka pilau, garlic and chili rice, and chicken pilau. The cost was £37.40 and well worth it. Tha tangy ness of the currys could still be tasted the next morning. A realy nice Indian curry, the only downfall is the shop inside where you pick your order up being a bit basic and rundown. But all four of us enjoyed our meals and would reccommend you try this Indian takeaway out.

We tried Khans Tandoori Indian Takeaway as a different Indian takeaway in Sunniside, I don't think it has been open that long, it used to be called "Spice of Bengol" We ordered through Just Eat for collection. The shop foyer was a bit basic, but clean, when we collected our meal. The rices were realy tasty with plenty of garlic bits. We had the chicken Madras and the Chicken tikka Shalimah, which was realy nice and very hot and spicy, just the way I like it. Very quick service, meals were ready as per the time slot recieved when we put the order in. We would use and recommend this Indian takeaway again.

I came here today 22nd June, I was greeted by two young ladies who showed me a menu, I ordered a latte for 2.70 not bad considering I've paid a lot more round the corner. Once inside you turn left and the cafe is just up 3 stairs,, it has 4 wooden dining tables, two tables did not have seating, two table did however customers could only use 1 as the last table had pamper goods displayed on it, I feel that the cafe part is an extra extension of the community centre as it appears to gear up to pamper parties for young ladies aged 6-12 for 3 hours of fun for 15.00 not bad 5.00 an hour to keep your little princess happy. They do also cater for birthday parties I shall attach a picture of these. I also note that the goods on sale are primarily aimed at our younger adults, but I feel that they could do more with the coffee shop as the ladies who serve have to leave and go to the kitchen, but they do have space for a coffee machine but have chosen to place a slushy there I stead again geared up for our young ones. I canot say how prompt the service is as I was the o ly customer in, overall clean and tidy, there is alo larger rooms to accommodate your request finally the cost of 100 for birthdays is in my opinion cheap as it can cost 400 or more to host a birthdays parties.

Was at Gateshead College for a meeting & popped into Greenhouse for lunch. Got a fabulous spiced lentil takeaway soup, complete with warm crusty roll, butter, knife and spoon all for £2.50. The soup portion size was excellent value. It was piping hot and super tasty & the warm roll was a fabulous touch, well done. More than I expected for a takeaway soup option. Highly recommend it. 🙂

Always been regulars but I’m not working due to covid 19 we’ve not had a Chinese in 9 weeks due to loss of income. Was so excited to hav our favourite Chinese. U now had to order then they text u to pay. So I waited & waited then rang to be told it was delayed. 45mins later rang again still delayed. She said I know you’re regulars but we’re very busy I said not to bother they will need their regulars back when this settles down. Obviously taking too many orders. Think I had a lucky escape as people have now said the food is reheated. Will becoming a regular somewhere else
