Curry Garden in Gateshead

Food arrived cold. Delivery person was more interested in posting menu’s through neighbours post boxes than delivering the food….

Pre ordered food and waited an hour and a half after expected arrival time and it never turned up, had numerous calls and they kept claiming the driver was on his way until eventually they stopped answering and now I have to wait for the next day to arrange a refund, complete joke!

Sadly another one of my go to take aways being removed from my list all of the food arrived cold.

Late by 20 minutes. Spent over £32 for me & a couple of friends as to one of them went home so really it spoilt our night. Some of the food was just warm. First time ordered from here & it's most certainly the last! 🤦‍♀️ Never again. . . . . .

I have ordered a few times from The Curry Garden and every time has been exceptional! The food is so tasty and hot, portions generous and always on time or early. The delivery is the friendliest I have ever met he is a credit to the business. Best curry I have had in Gateshead so far.

The food is always tasty but unfortunately the delivery person had clearly dropped the bag and the curry container and been crushed and curry was all over everything else in the bag. Would've been nice to let me know instead of handing it over like it was fine. Poppadom was crushed too.

Zero spice, soggy rice. Usually a brilliant curry must have been a bad night will try again however.

I ordered prawn masala . I dont know what the heat bits were but they were not prawn . The tikka was lovely so was the rice and bread only problem was it wasnt prawn

i got a tandoori mixed grill around a 10er and the curry box about 17 quid.. both were great, the mixed grill was amazing with melt in the mouth lamb and a lot of tasty chicken and shees kebab and sald and mint sauce (bargain)... the curry box was 6 boxes,, chicken tikka...chicken bhuna. veg curry, tikka starter, rice nan breads.. awesome scran for the price... considering how expensive food is right now this was good value... oh and they gave me a free peach ice tea....cheers

Disgusting . The lamb was awful , chewy and hardly any in. Around 3 thin slices . Asked for garlic Nan with extra extra garlic was send. A plain one. Wasn't even a full popadom was all cracked and smashed .

The order was in correct and forgot our rice, however this was eventually rectified in a timely manner. Chicken shashlik was very greasy and should be a dry dish,couldn’t eat it. Overall disappointing

Been ordering from here for years and always great food and never a bad word to say. Sadly recieved our chicken tikka masala without any chicken this time and they kindly went out of their way to correct this and replace it. These things happen from time to time and will still be continuing to order from the curry garden as our go to Indian!

Lovely food, piping hot. Ordered a mega garden box and a curry box, plenty of food for 3 people with lots of leftovers for the next day. The chicken is so juicy and tender. Perfect if you don't like anything too spicy.

Sadly the can of coke was warm&full of ghee from the curry…the naan was well done as requested on one side&very thick&doughy in parts…and cold…which I said I didn’t want…the bag&container lid of the jalfrezi was full of ghee…sorry to have to leave this review…I wish it was better for you’s…the wee flyer thanking me for supporting your family was a heartfelt touch…I wish you’s all the best.

Outstanding! Curry was piping hot, and even delivered slightly earlier than had been suggested when booking! I live in a council block of flats, and usually delivery drivers refuse to come in, and ring for me to go down - imagine my surprise when the delivery lad was at the door with a smile! Been looking for a new Indian since I moved in here, I think I’ve finally found it!

Delivery was on time but the food has gone downhill since last ordering. Saag paneer had about 4 pieces of paneer in. The rogan josh was very mild and the balti had a lot less kick than it normally does. Doubt we'll order again...

Best Indians I've been to in a while!

My partner and I are huge fans of this delightful takeaway. We've tried a number of dishes from their menu and each has been consistently packed with rich flavours while orders have arrived both quickly and hot. We've recently moved further afield but on occasion still make the drive for collection given the standard of food we've received in the past.

I got a notification to collect my food I went to the restaurant to collect my food to be left sitting around waiting for 20 minutes after the notification, during this time there was a very drunken woman who came in shouting over the counter to inform the employee her girlfriend was spewing all over out side was very uncomfortable to be sitting in the restaurant. When I eventually got home I was surprised to find no mint yogurt with my tikka meal and the poppadoms were like something from a weatherspoons not authentic at all all I could actually praise is the freshness of the naan bread don’t think I’d be returning in a hurry

Ordered food, when it arrived food had been dropped and all cartoons were open causing all good to leak. Chicken tandoori main was not in bag, I contacted restaurant but did not seem very interested.

Order from here all the time lovely food only problem I had that chips were rock hard and I didn’t receive my mint sauce

We normally love the food but this time wrong rice was sent. The curry had about 3 bits of meat in each one.. shame as normally we have no complaints

Best Indian restaurant in Newcastle easy.

Order well in advance. It’s a standard quality Indian restaurant with lots of good deals. The people seem quite friendly. The menu is vast and the curries are quite tasty. The naan breads are fresh, so it’s impressive they keep the prices so reasonable. Delivery is very slow, so make sure you order an hour and a bit in advance and chase them up if there is still no signs. The kebab boxes aren’t particularly notable as there isn’t enough meat and the chips are the wedge type chunks you usually get from an Indian. But at £7.95 including a naan and salad it’s good enough and will fill a hole.
