Costa Coffee in Gateshead

My only problem with this store is that there are 8 staff members- and there is never the perfect combination at any one time. The best ones always get the mornings which is annoying if I'm in on an afternoon to sit and study. Sarah is lovely and always so welcoming. I always look forward to the Sundays if she's in all day then I can sit in the window with nobody acting like they're stressed at me. She is the strength of Gateshead Costa and never gets sick of me. I also enjoy chatting to Lucy A- and those are the two who really make the experience for me it wouldn't be the same without them. Theyre so genuine and respectful. When neither of those are in it feels empty and a very stressful environment indeed where there is very little work-interaction balance. Its noticable who interacts the best and who prefers to laugh on between themselves as if theyve got a problem and find it weird that most of my friendships are split accross three Costas- but i wouldnt have it any other way.

toastie was freezing and most expensive coffee was missed off

This coffee shop is a cozy haven, inviting you to unwind with its warm ambience and inviting aromas.

Typical Costa coffee for all the usual hot or cold drinks and cakes and sandwiches. Good service with friendly staff. Can't go wrong with that.

Amazing service. Guys are superfast. To some extent I would recommend, take a breath.

Love going here with my daughter in law and granddaughter as she loves it got served today by Phil and may I say he is is in the right job so friendly and nothing was to much trouble x

For the price that is charged for the drinks. £4. 25 and the medium cups are only filled a tiny bit. Most of it is chocolate dusting. Could have went up in person or went to Newcastle and it would have been full

Great Costa Coffee as always! Lovely shop with lovely staff, only slight issue was the dishwasher wasn't working and neither were the fridges but that's fine as I've been here many times and it was only a one off.

Food was on menu but never came

Waited nearly 2 hours for the restaurant to prepare my order which is fine as I know places can get busy but once it was eventually picked up, the deliver driver hovered in my street for about 10 minutes but I was unsure at the time if this was my order so I went to go outside to ask and the driver quickly drove off before I got to the car. My order was then marked as delivered on the Just Eat app with nothing to show for it. Won’t be ordering from here again

I was disappointed, the service was ok/good but the drink I ordered was nothing like it should've been. I would've gone back to ask about it but I was upstairs and didn't want to leave my stuff unattended.

Probably the best Costa in Gateshead, but just like all the rest, they're very overpriced.

Perfect location. Atmosphere was perfect. No unnessisary waiting times and served exactly what I ordered. Will defiantly be coming back here if I do want a hot beverage and I'm out in the community. Well done.

A nice place to sit and have a coffee, although Trinity Square is smoking and vapong free zone, Costa have chosen to actively encourage smoking by putting ashtrays out, this means if you sit outside you will constantly be breathing in smoke in what is otherwise a nice place to sit.

If You go there remeber local people will be serve before You.

Unfortunately they missed out our brownies 😥 but I was able to get a refund through JE. The customer service was spot on though, the lady I spoke to at Costa about it was lovely. The mocha's we ordered were perfect though. Will be back again. 👍

Not a bad wee spot with nice views onto the forecourts. I'd visit this wee cafe again sometime when passing through.

Best COSTA cafe I’ve ever been. Lovely nice and very polite staff, clean facilities. Definitely recommend for brunch or just to sit down and relax enjoying the view.

One of the better Costas. Plenty seating upstairs and everything and everywhere was clean, during our visit. Seasonal coffee was lush, as was the cinnamon bun...warmed up!

It expensive I prefer Gregg's. If you want soft furnishings then this would be the place to get a coffee and cake or a toastie.

I accidentally ordered to wrong address, Driver was really polite about it even though they must have been ringing the bell a few times before they rung me. I asked them to leave it outside and when I got to the address it had been hidden out of site of anyone else and the coffees were still really hot.

The delivery was excellent. The fajita wrap was a bit cold but otherwise fine!

Nice coffee shop in middle of gateshead city centre. Up to standard.

Last coffee I got from there. They were out of oat, only had soya. Was too hot to drink straight away but when I did, coffee tasted burnt and the soya milk tasted off. Didn’t want to take back as it had been over 20 mins since I ordered and bought.

Never got the order. Address was right but I missed one letter from the postcode. New postcode doesn't exist but the address was enough to get to my place. Driver called me to say he needs to speak to Just eat and never showed up. I got refunded only for items not for delivery which never happen.

Great service from pleasant staff

Coffee was completely wrong. Ordered large skinny latte with extra shot, received regular latte with some sort of syrup. Horribly sweet and could not drink it. Contacted JustEat and told it would need investigating and someone would get back to me in a few days?!? Not sure how this will be investigated? I just wanted them to send me the coffee I ordered. Apparently that wasn't an option. Won't be ordering again as issue was handled terribly

Had to have more syrup added as it was only milk and not a chi latte. My mum and sister had to get theirs fixed as well.

Really nice place but a bit crowded as the upstairs was closed off and I couldn't find a loo, guessing it was upstairs. But other than that the service was quick and the staff were really great

Nice location and staff. The view of trinity square from the upper floor is very nice. Just grab a coffee and a book and relax on the top floor.

The WORST coffee I've ever had & cost 3 that's three pounds

Everytime we go there the staff are just so amazing. They are always so happy to see us and our dog and always make her feel welcome! The toilets are clean and spacious and coffee is really good. The only downside really is that sometimes they run out of some syrups or the ice machine breaks and i think the management should try and resolve this, but except for that it's lovely!

Would be awesome if they did more vegan food

Ordered Costa today through uber eats my toastie wasn't even toasted I don't get them delivered like this from other stories when I rang the store staff were so un helpful just told me if I wasn't happy get a refund won't be order ing from here again which is shsme because I did like there service until the last few times when it's gone down the drain
