The best restaurants in London

Don't waste your time at this place. Went there two weeks ago and was unfortunately greeted by a really rude and unwilling bartender. I kindly asked if they have any wine options for my partner, I was told, and I quote: " Look around you mate, this is a whisky bar". Interestingly enough, they do serve beer even if "this is a whisky bar". From then on it was downhill, no suggestions on whisky, unwilling to serve. Shame. On top of everything, you should know they charge 12.5% "optional" service charge just to serve at the bar. I was never told about until I asked for the receipt. Milroys of Soho, how is this acceptable??

Tuvimos un gran tiempo aquí el sábado por la noche. Café francés muy concurrido con algunos platos muy buenos. Me gustó especialmente el filete de onglet con fritas. Las croquetas de pescado eran un muy buen entrante. La carta de vinos tiene botellas que son asequibles. Gin cocktail delicioso. Me llamó especialmente la atención lo bueno que fue el servicio. Una cálida bienvenida y una buena explicación de la comida que se ofrece. Llegó a unas 80 libras por cabeza para cuatro personas. Pero eso fue por poco menos de tres platos cada uno con una ronda de cócteles y dos botellas de vino. Así que sacamos el máximo. Podrías gastar un poco menos aquí si quieres. Deseando lo mejor a los dueños. Ciertamente están haciendo un esfuerzo.

Walked over from a day in The British Museum, was hungry. I am solo traveling, not a big eater. Was served a small bowl of very tasty shepherd’s purse soup with pork and tofu, a side of rice was perfect !

We had our best chicken burger and chicken wraps here. The bread is crispy and in good quality. Meanwhile, we ordered half chicken in spicy chilli flavour. We love the food a lot. It's fresh and well flavoured. I had Jolibee burgers and KFC ones, but this Anar kitchen is now the top. I had to order extra beefy burger and some chicken wings to take away because the good quality and taste of the food.Especially, if you're looking for a halal option in Kingston, they are a good choice. Last to mention, the ladies' service is very nice and kind. They have five tables to sit. Try it! Thanks a lot. -Regards

Chop Chop at the Hippodrome Casino offers a fantastic Chinese dining experience in a vibrant yet relaxed setting. The decor strikes a perfect balance between lively and comfortable, making it an ideal spot to unwind, whether you're visiting the casino or just in the area. The food was a real highlight. The chow mien were incredibly smokey and delicious, full of that rich, authentic "wok hei" flavor that really sets great Chinese cuisine apart. I also tried the salt and pepper tofu, which was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside while soft and flavorful on the inside. To drink, I ordered the Dragon’s Gate mocktail, and it was amazing. Refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully presented, it paired wonderfully with the meal. Service was impressively fast without feeling rushed. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff remained friendly and efficient, ensuring everything arrived hot and fresh in no time. Overall, Chop Chop delivers a brilliant combination of great food, excellent drinks, stylish decor, and speedy service. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for quality Chinese food in the heart of London. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

We visited Homies on Donkeys with a few friends and had a lovely time. Although we definitely over-ordered, we thoroughly enjoyed most of what we tried. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and our waitress was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and really added to the relaxed vibe of the evening. The table was a little on the small side, which made things a bit tight once all the food arrived. It’s clear they’ve tried to make the most of the space, but it did feel a little cramped at times. As for the food, the tacos were good — generously filled and packed with flavour, which I really appreciated. My only small comment would be that there was a lot of herbs and salad piled on top, which sometimes distracted from the main ingredients of the taco itself. Overall, a great spot for casual dining with friends — fun, vibrant, and full of character.

Lovely place with delicious food including quick and spot on service

I really enjoyed my stay at the Resident Victoria. Our room is compact but somehow manages to feel in cramped. The bathroom is likewise very comfortable and functional. The bed is pleasant. The micro-kitchen was perfect for heating up and eating meals from M&S around the corner. The check-in experience exceeded expectations. Lawrence was friendly and knowledgeable and oriented us to the hotel and things to see around London. I especially appreciated the primer on London public transport. I also appreciated the loan of a pair of plug adapters. The location suited us well. It is surprisingly quiet despite being close to many amenities and a manageable walk to most points of interest.
