I recently visited the Townhouse for afternoon tea to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were exceptional, accommodating all of our requests with care and professionalism. A special mention to Ash, who served our food and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The presentation and flavors of the afternoon tea were absolutely delightful and lived up to the high expectations. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, making it a wonderful setting for such a special occasion. Thank you to the team for making the day so memorable.

First time dining here. Great experience. Food was delicious. Good value for money. Our waitress Chandan was amazing. She was attentive, polite and fun. No request was too much for her. A real asset to her team. Thank you Chandan.

LUCIA LUCIA LUCIA WOW! You would be so very lucky to get her as a server. I genuinely must recommend you request a reservation specifically on a night she is scheduled. Conversational, funny, intelligent, and a damn good waitress!! She made sure every aspect of our meal was perfect and was on top of things we didn’t even think of. Her recommendations were fabulous and the way she treated me as a guest with allergies was truly so refreshing. Lucia is fabulous!

Stunning food, really great customer service and wonderful atmosphere. I have a dairy allergy and the kitchen made me DF yorkshire puddings for my roast dinner which i was so happy about, Chandan was fanstastic, so friendly and bubbly, my sister and I had a great chat with her. Will definitely be back :)

As a frequent visitor of both the Townhouse and the Kensington Hotel I can personally vouch for the top quality of food, service and ambience Upon this visit however, Lucia was truly the highlight of my visit. Despite perfection at every turn, Lucia managed to bring even more to the experience with her attentiveness, charm and willingness to go above and beyond, she truly made our experience

I recently had Sunday roast at Town House Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The portions were huge- definitely more food than we expected! Everything was delicious and well-prepared. Our waiter, Ash, took excellent care of us, making sure we had everything we needed and providing great service throughout the meal. We'll definitely be back.

I recently visited town house restaurant for afternoon tea with a friend, and it was the perfect spot for a catch up after a long time. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant and tea selection was fantastic. Our server Ash was amazing - attentive , friendly and made us feel truly welcomed. On your last vacation London we tried the famous british afternoon tea at the town house restaurant. All the staffs are so welcoming and professional. Our server Ash made our afternoon tea experience delightful. And the restaurant was cozyand elegant. May be n3xt ti e we will stay at this hotel.

As always, my wife and I had a few amazing cocktails here, in a wonderfully designed space. This is one of my favorite spots in London for an original cocktail. Tonight's highlight: "me, myself and I", a twist on a Sazerac with a truffle and basil addition that was so well balanced it worked. Props. Salvatore took care of us wonderfully. Will be back.

The K Bar is one of my favourite bars in London. It's cosy, lit just right, and the cocktails are always original and interesting - current obsession is "Me, Myself, and I". The service is ace, as well; tonight, Adrish was attentive and helpful, and my husband an I left with smiles on our faces, as always.

ADRISH was veeery friendly and caring. He recommended an awesome drink for us, and said that the wine is by the house. I was so touched, he was the best bar staff I ever met. I’ll definitely come back in a few days. The drinks are awesome too.

We celebrated ( unannounced ) our 50th anniversary here with family , and the experience was truly memorable . All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming , the food and service excellent , a truly lovely evening .

Very strange experience...when we arrived at 7pm, we had to wait for our table - which was fine, but normally I'd expect to be offered a drink or something, but no. When we were shown through to our table, the host asked if we had any dietary requirements - my wife is Coeliac and the host looked like she'd never heard the word before. This was disappointing because I'd already confirmed (twice) that this booking required gluten free food - so no one had read that information (or the fact that it was my wife's birthday). We had to wait ages to get served drinks - and even then, first time round, the order was incorrect. It didn't fill us with any confidence that my wife could eat safely. Another waiter brought two piles of gluten free bread (hoorah, they did get it!) but when I said I didn't require GF but my wife did, they proceeded to take both bread baskets away. Chaos. We had a good laugh with the Americans next to us who were also joking about the amount of bread, waiting for drinks, and how there were about five members of staff all looking very busy, but nothing actually happening! Anyway, when Chandan started serving us, everything was better. She was excellent and the saviour of the experience! I also dropped the hint it was my wife's birthday and she organised for us to have a complimentary glass of bubbles. The food was excellent, the room had a nice atmosphere, and 1 out of 5 of the service staff was fab. For the price, I would have expected everyone to be at the level of service we received from Chandan.

Amazing cocktails, wonderful service. Adrish was a wonderful waiter! The variety and quality of cocktails is exceptional. The interior design of the bar is visually pleasing.

The service was impeccable. Every staff member was very thoughtful and personable, adding to a great service at the bar. Salvatore, Adrish and Stefano made cocktail recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. Not to forget the staff that we were greeted by at the entrance - a lovely gentleman who guided us in. Went here for some birthday drinks. The service was exceptional. Our waiter, Adrisch was so friendly, personable, and welcoming. 5 stars for him! He did a fantastic job, will definitely be back. Great spot The security man George O was also so lovely. 100 percent would recommend!

My wife and I were craving for a good cocktail and went to the place next door from google reviews but the bar did not seem great at all so we left and a gentleman from the Kensington told us they are making cocktails and encouraged us to just have a look inside. The Bar room was so nice and the atmosphere so cosy that we decided to stay and we had a warm and educated welcome from Salvatore on the cocktails from their new experimental menu, reflections themed. The cocktails were amazing with lots of thoughts put into them. We then had a great conversation with Adrish while Stefano behind the bar prepared us the most beautiful negroni we ever tasted. We had a fabulous time at the K bar and highly recommend the experience. Not adding any picture there to not spoil any of their great work! Let yourself surprised.

I came with my son, who is nine years old. It was our first high tea. Truly accommodative friendly, and a wonderful experience. So grateful for the warm hospitality and delicious food! Ash and Ikram were terrific.

Tuve mucha suerte de conseguir una mesa con poca antelación, ya que teóricamente estaban llenos, pero pudieron conseguir una mesa para nosotros. Muchas gracias al equipo de Town House, ya que este fue un excelente servicio de su parte. ¡El té en sí es una experiencia, ya que está preparado de una manera tan hermosa! Primera visita. Hermoso comedor con chimenea. La comida era simple y sabrosa, sopa de coliflor y risotto en particular. Pero lo más destacado fue nuestro camarero, Ardit, que fue excepcional, educado, conocedor, amable y dio excelentes recomendaciones, mejor que el servicio brindado en muchos restaurantes estrella de Michellin, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

A late lunch was served well in delightful surroundings. It was on the expensive side considering the quality of the food but the general ambience made it worth while.

We had a fantastic experience for afternoon tea, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and extremely relaxing with dimmed lights, fire places all around the lounge area and pleasant soothing music. The food was exquisite and beautifully presented and our waiter, Ardit, could not do enough for us and was constantly looking after us, even giving me and my friend a lovely red rose each.I will definitely go back and recommend this hotel to all my friends.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the townhouse. The service was impeccable and the way the items for tea are showcased extremely creative. The food appeared on a display that is meant to be the eye of London. Most of the items served represented an iconic monument of London. Aside from the creativity of this display the sweets were incredible as were the sandwiches. Highly recommend this location.

Lovely and cosy atmosphere, tasty afternoon tea! We were sitting at the fireplace and really enjoyed the beautiful sweets in the shape of London landmarks. Service was awesome! Lovely venue for a cream tea. Staff akrhough keen were a little pretentious and overwhelming. We sent the scones back as they were cold, only to be given a 2nd portion that was still cold as if they had been pre defrosted and then thawed. Tea cakes and sandwiches were not tasty in fresh tasting. So we will not revisit orc recommend this place.

I found this lovely-looking afternoon tea, and I really wanted to try it. This spot is inside the beautiful Kensington Hotel. We walked in from the main front door of the Kensington hotel, and the staff guided us towards the back to where the Town House is located.

Amazing!!! We arrived to the Kensington early for our reservation we were seated in a beautiful room and they took our coats and offered water. We were soon asked to move into another delightful room and seated by the fireplace and greeted by Barbara. From the moment we met she took great care of us, answering all our questions and making great recommendations. The Food from the start was well presented and truly delicious. Thomas came over and introduced himself and spoke to us for a bit, he found out it was our anniversary he was SO happy for us and brought us many congratulations from the staff and hotel. The ENTIRE experience was BEYOND what we expected. Barbara and Thomas were just so sweet, They won’t be forgotten. It truly was a great experience.

It was our annual Christmas meet up and we've had afternoon tea before but this was the best one yet!! Immaculate service especially by Thomas! We didn't feel rushed but could take our time which led us to be completely relaxed and enjoy our time together. Two of my friends were vegan and they were able to have near enough the same design in desserts! The canapés before the afternoon tea was a lovely touch and was delicious. The decor was very classy and the Christmas decorations were breathtaking. What a lovely experience it was! Highly recommend it! As it has a gluten free menu, I might just bring my mum for afternoon tea when it's Mother's day. Thank you so much for a fantastic day! :)

I took my husband for his first afternoon tea experience and we loved it. The London landmarks desserts is very cute and a nice touch to make the afternoon tea a little bit different. It was refreshing to have an outstanding waiter - thanks Thomas! We even got an extra dessert as our rugby team won the World Cup (go Springboks!)

This restaurant should be a destination even if you are not staying in the hotel! We experienced breakfast, tea, and dinner during our stay with our evening meal being the best we had while in London. I would recommend that you book your room with breakfast-it was worth the convenience, variety and fine service. There are some coffee shops around the corner, but the ambiance and quality of food made my day. The Tea experience is unlike any other in London. The exquisitely made pastries are placed on a replica of the London wheel. The service and decor make for a perfect tea setting! Our dinner experience was amazing. We were so well taken care of by Ben the F & B manager! This guy is a real gem who went above and beyond to make our evening exceptional. We shared several dishes including crab toast, beetroot, and ricotta salad, creamed spinach, risotto and, of course, the delicious Dover sole (well worth the Ł37 price). Ben was very helpful with wine suggestions, including some champagne quality local sparkling wines from Sussex. For dessert, we had panna cotta. Honestly, from the interior design to stemware to service to food...a very memorable and special evening in London. Thank you Town House and Kensington staff!

My husband and I had afternoon tea at Town House at the Kensington Hotel and the setting, presentation, food & drink and service were all top notch! The Town House itself is a stylish boutique residence and hotel. The tea is served in beautifully appointed rooms. The London Landmarks-themed tea that was being offered when we visited was so creatively presented in a “London Eye” replica. The sweets were mini London landmarks including a meringue red phone booth, which is adorable. The service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this tea experience!

The staff here were amazing but severely let down by the food. My son and I visited for lunch and both decided on the crab with apple and watercress to start and the spaghetti pomodoro and a side of rocker . We ordered one shandy and two bottles of water. The crab starter was £16 and was tiny with a mere scrapping of crab on very sweet rye based bread which just did not work. The manager informed us they had no spaghetti so could they substitute rigatoni which was disappointing . The pasta turned up and they were large thick tubes coated in a bland sweet tomato sauce and that was it. It looked like the standard pasta dish served on a children’s menu. The rocket salad had a thick sweet balsamic dressing which spoilt it. The meal came to an eye watering £97 for two people. Very disappointing . Overall everything was too sweet , over priced for ingredients used and memorable for the wrong reasons. Ambience and staff were superb which is so sad as the food let’s it down.

What a fantastic experience. The London-themed afternoon tea was so lovely, start to finish. Outstanding service, beautifully presented food, and elegant ambiance. I mentioned a food allergy and the staff were so thorough and careful in making sure the food was safe for me. Delicious food, and the desserts tasted as good as they looked (the Shard was especially good). I am just waiting for an excuse to visit here again!

Beautiful romantic setting, gorgeous food, relaxing environment, and really friendly staff. I could not fault one single thing, and will definitely be coming back.

This is a lovely setting for a relaxed but elegant brunch. The plush furniture and elegant decor makes you feel very comfortable, although the service is quite formal, and the food is well-served--and also very tasty!

Fuimos a almorzar con amigos que no habíamos visto en mucho tiempo y era el lugar perfecto. Las mesas estaban bien espaciadas para que pudiéramos oírnos hablar y la comida y el servicio eran muy buenos. Una vez que terminamos de comer, continuamos charlando y no hubo presión para abandonar nuestra mesa.

Queríamos una experiencia "tradicional" de té y lo conseguimos. La comida era maravillosa, pasar hambre porque hay mucho. ¡Y fue maravilloso! El té era como era de esperar fue genial. Lo único extraño es que se olvidaron de traérnoslo. . . Teníamos que recordarles. El servicio fue bueno pero dado el precio, esperaba algo un poco más atento.

Dulces de ensueño y lindas réplicas de lo real. Nos encantó la atención al detalle, un mapa con todos nuestros postres de Londres, los bollos envueltos en una toalla blanca para mantenerlos calientes, la opción fácil para invitados vegetarianos y veganos. Personal encantador y sonriente. Lindas cajas para llevar. ¡Todo estuvo delicioso!

We visited here earlier in the week for Afternoon Tea. Billed as London Landmarks we were excited but left disappointed.

I’ve been to several afternoon teas around London and was excited for the London theme of this one. The food was delicious, as was the tea! The artistry of how the desserts were presented was beautiful. Servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about London landmarks. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an afternoon tea while visiting London.

Town House’s new London Landmark High Tea was absolutely delightful. My Husband and I enjoyed afternoon tea here on a Monday afternoon. All the food was delicious as well as the tea and champagne. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, they also helped us to celebrate our honeymoon with a beautiful rose, hand written card and postcard souvenirs. Thank you to George and all the staff who made our afternoon tea experience wonderful. Highly recommend Town House for an afternoon tea experience.

This afternoon tea was very special - from the wonderful, creative, food to the very attentive and knowledgeable staff team. Great ambience too. My only grumble was that the fires were lit on a hot summer's day.

London Landmarks afternoon tea is beautifully and cleverly presented, but service was not very impressive. We sat for a long time before anyone took our order (we had a reservation), and the restaurant was not busy — only 3 or 4 other tables (at least in the back room where we were seated). The server explained each course as she brought it, then 5-10 minutes later a colleague would come over and ask if our server had explained everything......this seemed odd and uncoordinated. No one refilled our water glasses until the very end of service, when someone else brought the credit card machine and noticed they were empty. Took 15-20 minutes to get the check after specifically asking for it.

Came here with a friend for a catch up. It was perfectly presented and tasted amazing. The London landmark theme was really well done and the attention to detail was fantastic. Tea was regularly refreshed. Extra sandwiches and jam and cream were brought with no issues. They allowed you take home anything you did not eat also. The savouries to begin were also a lovely touch and tasted delicious. Staff were brilliant and ensured we were happy through out. The setting was beautifully decorated and the hotel even had a Wimbledon tennis theme as it was Wimbledon fortnight when we visited.

Best looking afternoon tea I've ever seen!

A lovely atmosphere for afternoon tea. The sandwiches and scones were excellent. Desserts shaped like London icons (Red phone booth, the Gherkin, the Shard, etc.), served on a stand shaped like the London Eye. The desserts were a bit odd though.

My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our Afternoon Tea at The Kensington. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room where tea was served was quite intimate, but also managed to be bright and airy. The tea was superb, and we all agreed the first course of the tea was our favorite. The presentation was impressive and beautiful, and the staff was attentive and friendly. They even took pictures for us and didn't mind at all that we took loads of pictures. I would absolutely recommend The Kensington for Afternoon Tea, and I hope I'm able to get back there with my girls again soon!

Another fabulous afternoon. We visited for the first time last year for their Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea, which was excellent and so decided to visit again for their London themed afternoon tea. The sandwiches/cakes were delicious and accompanied by bottomless tea/coffee (although we opted for their cocktails). The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Special thanks go to Thomas and Alexa for looking after us. Highly recommended and we are eagerly waiting to see what their next themed afternoon tea will be.

Had the smoked salmon, cord fed chicken and chocolate fondant with raspberry sorbet as part of the 3 course set menu for £25, excellent value in a beautiful hotel. Also had the beef wellington which was perfectly cooked though a little small and quite pricey at £34. The hotel also does a London Landmarks afternoon tea with a fantastic cake trolley in the shape of the London eye and the cakes/sweet treats in shape of London landmarks

Stayed at the hotel- first night we were jet lagged and wanted an easy light dinner. Amazing service and just the perfect dinner - he had a small serving of perfectly cooked scallops accompanied with asparagus and I had pea risotto. Decided we had to go back and tonight was not a disappointment. We both had the crab starter and Dover sole. Both were beyond excellent. Side of spinach and hand cut potatoes were perfect. Nice wine list, knowledgeable sommelier.

Lors d’un séjour à Londres, nous avons découvert ce restaurant où l’accueil, le raffinement , la qualité des plats n’ont rien à envier à nos très bons restaurants français . Quel plaisir et quel dépaysement.

1. Were told by an employee (when we called to see if reservations were needed), “oh, no, just come on by.” 2. We did, and were asked at the restaurant whether we had a reservation when we arrived! 3. So-We settled for a cocktail-sized table near a fireplace at their suggestion , being told that there was a large group there tonight so the restaurant was full 3. Party of 4 came in after us, ordered, finished their meal —- we still hadn’t received our food. A solid hour and fifteen minutes later after several excuses that the large party was creating delays, we received our food. 4. You are charged for water 5. The woman at the next table had the same problem. Why was it that the party of four was able to order, receive their food, eat and enjoy it all before we received our food and had been sitting there for a solid hour? For such an upscale hotel this is abysmal service. Not a review of the hotel itself.

Staying at The Kensington, we booked for lunch in their restaurant, the Town House. What an excellent decision, with great service from all the staff members, our 3 course lunch was purely great food, on all the plates that came to our table. Our mains were the 'Seared Scollops' and 'Beef Wellington' with side of greens. The accompanying wines were just as good and an excellent accompaniment to our lunch.

I have tried quite a few afternoon tea’s around London and can honestly say the afternoon tea at the Kensington Hotel is the best I have found. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy the tale as old as time tea last year and enjoyed it so much I returned for their new London Landmarks Afternoon Tea and I was not disappointed. The concept of the tea was well executed and the taste combinations were delicious. The setting of the restaurant where the tea is served is very comfortable and relaxing and is quintessentially the perfect example of a British Afternoon Tea which you should try.

This was my second visit and this time we had a 2 year old with us and we indulged in the London Landmark Afternoon Tea. It did not disappoint. The staff were attentive and very accommodating of our little one, including giving her a free reading book! The afternoon tea was excellent, and very relaxed. I would not hesitate to come again.
