This hotel is absolutely charming, warm, cozy and quiet. A real little cocoon of well-being to sleep peacefully in London.

My wife and I booked a vacation in London for a 7 night stay through Expedia and the Resident Victoria was chosen as it seemed to be in a pretty central location come to all the tourist attractions and right in central location with the Buckingham Palace just steps away. When we arrived much earlier than then check in time, we received the friendliest service right from the start until the day we left. The room was simply the best I have seen to date during all the vacations I have taken so far, I liked that they thought of every convince travellers could need down to providing a fantastic little kitchenette with cups, plates cutlery, microwave and coffee maker. I especially liked that they would replenish coffee and tea with milk so I didn't have to worry to have my coffee first thing in the morning which I am used to. The staff was helpful and always willing to provide any advice to make our trip more pleasurable, especially Lawrence whose tips were very helpful during our stay. Room service was provided everyday, which I recently noticed has been declining with other hotels as it is only offered if requested. In all honesty my experience was non less than staying in a five star hotel at the price of a four star. Location is the key bonus point as everything is within a short walk including the underground and food stores. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting London and keen to see all the interesting tourist attractions.

As the song goes - “what a difference a day makes”. Arrived - very warm welcome from young man on reception and handwritten welcome card (nice touch). Room facilities were excellent, small kitchen, fridge, sink, tea/coffee, microwave. Room very clean and had everything you might require including iron etc. View from window of room 210 (backs of buildings and lots of scaffolding) so a bit concerned the workman might be noisy outside but need not have worried, first nights sleep was quiet and peaceful. Day 2 - Oh dear! Terrible night. Upstairs rooms must have been unoccupied on our first night as woken up at 12.30am by someone having a 15 minute shower and the noise from the waste pipe was unbelievably loud. Further disturbance from several toilet flushes through the night. Sounded like the waste pipe was next to the bed. Perhaps we were just unlucky with the room allocation. Checked out and all we got was a forced smile from the girl on reception. No “did you have a nice stay”, “look forward to seeing you again” - nothing, nada. All the good work on day 1 forgotten by day 2. Day 1 five stars, day 2 two stars. What a pity, thought we had found a gem.

Great location, lovely hotel and priced just right. My flight landed at 8:30 am and while the rooms weren’t ready, they let me leave my luggage behind and let me know they’d call me when the room was ready. I wasn’t expecting anything before the standard 3:00 pm check in but they called me at 1:45 and let me check in! Staff is very friendly and helpful, room is clean. Bathroom is neat. Everything is on the smaller side but I didn’t expect much from a central London location! There’s filtered water in the room, and basic amenities. All in all, I got what I expected and I’m happy with the experience.

The Resident is a hotel ideally located a few meters from Birmingham Palace and not far from Victoria Station. A warm welcome awaits you there. Impeccable cleanliness.

Loved everything about this place. Super convenient location...a black behind Buckingham Palace. Service is top notch! All questions we had before the stay were answered promptly via phone or email. Every single staff member dealt with at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The lobby is small but modern and attractive. Same with the room...a little small but very comfortable. Highly recommend this place!

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! I had found it from a Tik Tok and it exceeded all expectations. Customer Service: When booking I had noted that it was our three year anniversary and when we got to our room they had placed flower petals, balloons, champagne, chocolates and a card in our room. It was such a great way to start our trip and it made it even more special since we ended up getting engaged that day! Location: This was our first time in London and we felt SO safe walking around this area. A 3 minute walk to Buckingham Palace and there’s so many good food spots nearby. The Victoria Theater that shows Hamilton is a quick walk away, and theres a handful of the big tourist bus stops nearby making it easy to hop on and off. There’s also a tube station close by so very easy to explore other areas via that as well. Rooms: The room itself is definitely a little snug, but not a big deal since we were barely in the rooms throughout the day. It was great that they have a Brita filter attached to the sink so we always had water, and a nice touch that they had utensils, plates and cups in the room as well. We will for sure stay here again next time we’re in London!

We recently stayed at the Resident Victoria hotel and had a wonderful experience there! Reasonably priced for the area (zone 1). Great access to the tube and bus stops. Grocery stores nearby. Very clean with knowledgeable staff to help with booking a cab and explaining the transportation system. What more could anyone want! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Also reasonably priced restaurants nearby.

Superb hotel, the majority of people come here for the location close to Buckingham Palace and Victoria Station. The rooms are very clean and the receptionists are very kind.

A good location. Easy walking distance from Victoria Station, shops and restaurants. My room was an easy access room with a well appointed wet room. Staff could not have been nicer. Very helpful, polite and friendly. They were told it was my birthday, so my room was festooned with balloons, a bottle of Prosecco, chocolates and a bottle of red wine. Plus a birthday card. I would definitely stay there again.

The location is super convenient... 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace. The team is very welcoming and really super nice! The possibility of leaving luggage on site after check-out is very practical. The rooms are beautiful and very well equipped. The small kitchen with coffee machine, kettle, fridge and dishwasher with filtered water and a plus for having breakfast in bed 😉. We had a wonderful stay with you! I will return with pleasure to this Hotel.👍

I had been here a few years ago and loved this place, but unfortunately it seems it’s permanently closed? Their website is still live (July 2024), we tried to reserve by filling in a form on their site but got no response. Went their without reservation during stated opening hours. Not only was the restaurant closed but the signage had been removed from the exterior of the building.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Grill, where we came to celebrate a special moment as a group of friends. The menu offers something for all tastes, combining grill classics with a much welcome twist and modern flare, while the elegant yet warm setting is perfect to celebrate a special occasion without being too formal. The quality of service did stand out: Martina, the sommelière, did a fantastic job suggesting perfect wines to match our dishes, while Marine and and Olga made us feel as if we were the only guests, even on a busy Saturday night. The best part is that you will have a great time here whether you're a true epicurean, wine connoisseur, or simply someone who's looking to have a good time and tasty food (we had all these characters in our group!): the staff will cater to your style and make your time here so good you'll want to become a regular!

This is a great place for African fusion and the chef is very skilled. We had the tiger prawns and they were in a very flavorful sauce. Our server recommended the coco bread to go with it and we’re happy we ordered both. I had the chicken yassa with a side of Ma’s Benachin rice and both were wonderful. The staff was really friendly and if we lived closer we would go back in a second!
