Exceptional surface in a beautiful hotel with a great location

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent from start to finish. What truly stood out to me was their remarkable attention to detail and how much they care about the entire guest experience. Every aspect of my stay felt carefully thought out, and it’s clear that the staff is dedicated to making each guest feel valued and comfortable. From the cleanliness of the room to the quality of the amenities, and the friendliness of the team — everything exceeded my expectations. I truly appreciated how smooth and enjoyable the entire journey was, and I would definitely choose this hotel again in the future. Highly recommended!

I was here to celebrate an anniversary with my boyfriend at the rooftop bar a few weeks ago. We booked a table in advanced. As soon as we walked in, I asked for a sofa table, but the waitress said it could be only for four people to get a sofa seat. We didn’t mind by that. However, later on after we ordered four drinks, we saw two couples, each sitting on a sofa seat side by side. I was very disappointed by what I was told before and I asked to change the seats again since it was a special day for us and that we could sit side by side. We were informed again that we couldn’t change the seats. I felt like it was unfair and became a very bad experience that day for a special day and we spent over £50. The service and everything was not worth the price at all.

I had the most AMAZING stay at this luxury hotel. The staff were so warm and welcoming and answered all my questions - they definitely made you feel like a VIP. I truly felt looked after everyone from the greeters and front desk to the valet. They were so considerate and mindful of the construction noise outside - very much appreciated the upgrade! The welcome amenities of the cakes, pastries, flowers, and champagne were a real treat and will always be remembered. The room still had the fresh and new smell, fabulous modern Asian decor, LOVED the heated bathroom flooring, bidets, and plush towels. The shower head was the perfect amount of pressure. It made me never want to leave my room! Housekeeping also did a WONDERFUL job ensuring everything looked fresh everyday. The spa was also DELIGHTFUL and a real treat - spacious and gave a feeling of exclusivity. This hotel literally thought of everything to provide the most luxurious experience. The avocado toast for breakfast was DELICIOUS and presented so elegantly. The location is unbeatable as it is in close proximity to multiple tube lines. Definitely a hidden gem and would 100% stay again. My dad and I already miss this property and I look forward to my next stay!

Unfortunately have to downgrade the review because of the rooftop bar. Reception was lovely to helped us to checked out the room but keep the bill open as we wanna get to the rooftop bar. BUT the staff at rooftop bar insisted us to pay by card immediately which we explained the situation already. They don’t even have the sense to call the reception to double check everything until we asked them to do so. Have to say very disappointed this happened in a 5 star hotel. - Main entrance not grand as a usual 5 star hotel - All the staff are very well trained. (Additionally love their uniforms lol) - The room is impressive even it’s not big. Stylish decoration with all details more than what you would expect in a 5 star hotel - Surprisingly breakfast mushroom omelette. - Much appreciated for the free Moet champagne for our celebration. That’s very sweet. - A kind reminder here the Michelin restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. - Rooftop bar is chill with lovely seasonal cocktails x

Ideal location for theatre, museums and shopping. Super professional and friendly staff, that make that last effort to stand out. Great design. Breakfast experience was excellent and a real joy. Pool had the right size and temperature. Only negative point was the view from the room. Ideal for the discerning customer.

Probably the one & only hotel with a rooftop bar in Mayfair!! Amazing sushi with impeccable services from Abar team!! Golden hour is the best time to visit if you are in Mayfair ❤️❤️❤️

However, I want to acknowledge the hotel’s proactive approach in reaching out after my feedback and their genuine effort to make things right. However, following my review and report, the hotel’s management reached out and arranged a new stay, ensuring that my experience this time aligned with the high standards expected of Mandarin Oriental. Their attentiveness and commitment to service recovery truly made a difference, and I appreciate their willingness to turn things around. While my initial experience was far from ideal, I’m grateful for the efforts made to rectify it. This shows that Mandarin Oriental Mayfair values guest feedback and is committed to delivering the luxury hospitality they are known for. I sincerely hope they continue to uphold these standards so that all guests can experience the level of excellence expected from the brand.

Excellent service and extraordinary food❤️

I recently gave this hotel a second chance after a disappointing first experience, and I’m glad I did. My initial visit was far from satisfactory, but after some changes were made, my second stay was completely different. The service improved significantly, the atmosphere was much more welcoming, and the overall experience was wonderful. Everything from cleanliness to hospitality exceeded my expectations this time. It truly felt like a different hotel, and I appreciate the effort that went into making things better. I would now highly recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I stayed in the Mayfair suite for my 40th birthday. I had my friends family over the hotel had so many facilities everything I needed everything I could think of. The details on the interior are just stunning. I couldn’t think of anywhere better

As I mentioned to Susanne, this is the most perfect Mandarin yet! The design, comfort, amenities are just fabulous and the team is extremely professional and friendly. Shout out to Sophia at the FD and Gerard, your wonderful concierge.

Definitely a top notch hotel in a top notch location 5min to Regent Street and 5min to Bond Street, perfect for shoppers but also restaurants, bars and clubs. Experience was seamless. From valet parking to concierge and front desk, nothing to fault. The spa is stunning and the treatment was good. Rooms are spacious and modern. Their restaurants stunning in interior and the roof top bar very exclusive. Bonus was their gym with a reform Pilates station. It's not necessary very kids friendly, but an absolut gem for couples or solo trips.

Went for breakfast at Akira Back. Very nice big so needs a lot of people to create an atmosphere. We had the special mushroom porridge nd fruit plate which were both excellent. Service was highly professional.

It was the little things that truly made the difference—the birthday cake in our room for my partner, the cleaning cloth for my glasses, the cable velcro for my laptop, and the glass of Champagne at Akira Back to celebrate my partner's birthday. These thoughtful touches showcased the team’s attention to detail and commitment to creating memorable experiences. A special thank you to the team at Akira Back for making our dinner unforgettable and to the entire staff for their warm and professional service. Breakfast was beautifully presented and the perfect start to each day. Looking forward to returning soon!

During my trip to London, the hotel I chose was absolutely the best! Not only was there room service, but the hotel even had a spa 🤤. What really stood out was the exceptional kindness and attention to detail from the staff everywhere in the hotel. Above all, I had lunch and dinner with my family at the famous restaurant, Akira Back, and Tosa. The atmosphere was perfect, and the quality of the food was extraordinary. I highly recommend it 👍🏻. The location was also great, with a fashion district nearby for shopping, so there was never a dull moment. If you’re ever in London, I truly recommend staying at this hotel 🥰. From now on, I think I’ll only stay here ㅎㅎ

Great service, excellent location!

Spent a few nights in this new Mandarin hotel prior to Christmas. The room was quietly situated, despite the many ongoing construction works in the area. However, it was dark, very dark. Hardly any natural light available. Whereas all element were included that should included, rooms are small. Restaurant area was good and nice located in the building. It served as Asian fusion restaurant in the evening with a DJ performing. The rooftop could be more vibrant. Location is good, but not fantastic due to many construction works on both sides of the hotel.

The room was well-decorated and met standard expectations, but the hotel was very small compared to the one in Bangkok. The staff provided excellent service. We asked the bellboy to help open a bottle of champagne, and although he accidentally spilled some, he sincerely apologized to the point that we felt guilt for asking him to help. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet and lacked variety compared to other countries, but the server with long black hair was extremely kind to us. We regretted not asking for her name because she left such a great impression

As someone who considers themselves picky about hotels, I can confidently say the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair is in a league of its own. Having experienced several other Mandarin Oriental locations (NY, Boston, Miami), I was blown away by the elevated service and attention to detail at this stunning property in Mayfair. The service is what really sets this hotel apart. Some highlights from our stay: 1. The front desk staff were friendly, accommodating, and warm. They remembered my name throughout the stay, which added such a personal touch. 2. It was my mom’s first time in London, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. Initially, we had a view of nearby construction (which is, of course, beyond the hotel’s control). However, recognizing the significance of this mother/daughter trip, the staff went out of their way to pull some strings and change our room to one with a more pleasant view. This gesture meant so much to us. 3. The room was outstanding—one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Every detail was designed for comfort and convenience. Heated toilet seats, every amenity you could imagine, and a complimentary mini bar stocked with treats. 4.The hotel added special, magical touches to our stay that we will never forget. One evening, we returned to find a delightful Christmas-themed treat waiting for us in our room. It’s these thoughtful, unexpected details that set this hotel apart from others. 5. The concierge team was extraordinary. They helped us secure a reservation at Gymkhana—an almost impossible feat given the popularity of the restaurant. 6. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Mayfair. While it’s just a stone’s throw from iconic shopping and dining areas, it’s tucked away from the busier main streets like Regent Street, which means you can enjoy a quiet and peaceful stay.. a rare combination in central London. I already can't wait to return!

I visited the downstairs bar with a friend just before Christmas and enjoyed impeccable service. The cocktails were brilliant - served and described perfectly. We even had a masterclass in Japanese Whiskey by the wonderful Kumi. Absolutely recommend.

Visited the bar for after dinner drinks We had a reservation for 14. Nice seating area and the interior design is cool and modern. They had a DJ playing dance tracks. The service was great. Certainly a place to visit for drinks with friends or for a night out.

We didn’t expect perfection from the first weeks of the hotel operation. Facilities and room was nearly perfect and staff needs to get more experience in coordination. It’s just a matter of time and good management.

The Mandarin Oriental in Mayfair is a luxurious hotel with a fantastic location. It's perfect for shopping enthusiasts, with Harvey Nichols and Harrods just a short walk away. The hotel's entrance is opulent and impressive, but the rooms are a bit simpler in design. The bathrooms are on the smaller side, and the hallway decor felt a bit disjointed. However, the service was excellent, and the hotel offers a great spa and fitness center. Overall, it's a lovely hotel, but it may not meet the high expectations set by other Mandarin Oriental properties.

We had the best experience at the Mandarin. Great service all round. Beautiful decor. Delicious food with great options. Absolutely loved the view of hyde park from here. Can’t wait to come back!!
