Booked 2 months in advance, they sent us regular reminders in the run up to our booking and they're closed!

A great place to try a dram of whisky - they have a great selection of whisky to choose from. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend doing one of their tasting sessions. Thank you!

What a great little find. I have recently discovered a taste for whisky. So I took a couple of mates here at the weekend. Where to begin. It's a little small, but we were lucky to find 3 seats at the bar. The variety of whisky is amazing and the staff (Oliver) fantastic. He took us through a whisky discovery, starting at the £20 dram down to £11. The bill for us was not as much as I expected it would be at a £100 (7 whiskies 3 beers). I tried to buy 3 different bottles of whisky to take home but alas they were not available in the shop, but should be online. The secret bookcase to the toilet is a winner, it also leads to the vault which is an underground drinking experience, sadly we did not book for that and it did not open until 6pm. All in all a great trip and I will go back. Cant rate the food, as I do not believe they had any. Well worth a visit.

One of my favourite whiskey bars in London. Amazing advice and atmosphere with such cool staff! Tastings are fantastic with staff who know their stuff and are so passionate about whisky so no two tastings would ever be the same!

Fantastic bar with nothing but whiskey in mind. Amazing whiskey selection to work yourself through. Knowledgeable staff happy to discuss and recommend profiles, noses, finishes, casks... So if you are into your single malts or just want to learn, it is a very welcoming space. Plus that famouse hidden bookcase....

We tried different whiskey combinations and they were all great. Prices aren’t cheap but I guess it is expected as this is whiskey pub. Basement floor requires reservations and couldn’t sit without reservation.

Great little bar, have been here a few times now, the vault bar downstairs is so great for dates. On going there this weekend, we went downstairs, no booking, it was busy but not crazy, we asked the guy hosting if there was space, without even turning around, or even attempting to have a look, said no, and that you were full. There was space by the bar, one stool and standing room, we said we were happy to stand…no sorry was the response. Honestly I’ve been there before when it’s been busier, and have always been squeezed in, or at least had the attempt of trying to fit us in. Share a table etc. he was just rude and really uninterested. No ‘I have a table that’s just about to pay, if you wait for a bit…’ etc etc what happened to customer service. The young guy on the bar upstairs was amazing, really knew his stuff with our different tastes in whiskey, amazing bar staff. Also that little alcove by the book door to downstairs, you could make that a bit more vibey in there by adding a speaker, that way if you don’t get in downstairs and you get a seat in there, there’s still music and an atmosphere - not just silence.

A classic beer pub style bar but focusing on Whiskey. Sat by the bar and was very cosy with fantastic engagement with the bartenders. Definitely one of the go to places for whiskey if at the SOHO area

Nice hidden gem, great service and a fantastic variety of whiskeys

It is a great place to experience all types of whisky. The gentleman was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He explained every single drink with a brief history from beginning to end. The basement bar was closed but we heard that it is worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic service ordered online and delivered in 48 hours

if the closing time is midnight you don't chase away people who come in at 11pm by making gestures to tell them to go away. the girl at the counter was extremely rude and arrogant.

Mooi oude bar, de dames (of heren) achter de bar hebben veel verstand van de vele soorten. Heerlijk een paar drams op, voor ons een vast item als we naar London gaan.

It is a unique a place with a nice selection of whisky. Just be mindful it isn’t low price and they do add service charge to the bill which we found unusual for pouring whisky.

Great place : staff are incredibly knowledgeable and there's a really good atmosphere. They're also very upfront about the price of things and don't try and force expensive drinks on you. Vault bar behind the bookcase is great too.

Great local bar with excellent staff who are super knowledgeable about whisky. I love the casual yet genuine approach to trying new whiskies - no complicated 'tasting experience' like more old-fashioned whisky bars, but the staff will happily chat with you at the bar and recommend some new bottles to try in an unpretentious way. They've always given me 100% on point recommendations and I always find my new favourites from them. Don't miss the 'bookshelf' in the back leading to the hidden cocktail bar downstairs!

Lovely little find, we were down I'm the vault. Great selection of specialist cocktails, don't taste like you are drinking alcohol but certainly pack a punch. Service was good and you are supplied with plenty of water. We wanted to stay for longer but just couldn't because it was so hot, we were melting. If you have a reservation be sure to push to the front of the queue as they also operate a queue system for unreserved people but there is limited space for them to have two queues or explain this.

Very cool hidden bar behind the bookshelf, I took my boyfriend as a surprise and he loved the whole concept. Drinks were very nice as was our the waitress. Perfect spot for a date or to celebrate a special occasion, we will definitely be back soon!

Never had a better service experience at a bar. Staff guided our drink orders and our bottle choices to go. If you're in London and want a special bottle to take home with you this is the pace.

It's solely dedicated to whisky. We need more places like this! Just wish they had more options for Islay whiskeys bottled at cask strength & single cask. Prices are quite high and they don't do half pours which surprised me. Still, this should definitely be on your list of London bars if you love whisky!

Joel's passion for whisky was infectious, evident in the diverse topics our conversation spanned. From the historical underpinnings of whisky to the intriguing restrictions on what constitutes "whisky" across different nations, and even a captivating glimpse into the world of Nordic and Asian whisky makers, Joel's insights were as enlightening as they were engaging. We also got a peek at their impressive Blanton's Bourbon collection. After a few samplings based on Joel's recommendations, my husband got himself two rare finds that are seldom encountered in our home country. If you're a whisky enthusiast, Milroy of Soho is a destination not to be missed. Mark it as a favorite in your Google map, you won't be disappointed.

Espectacular sitio si te gusta el whiskey!!!!! No había visto tanta botella junta en la vida y de una calidad increíble!!!! Eso sí los precios un poco altos…pero merecen la pena por el ambiente, el servicio y la calidad de sus licores….si quieres cocktail puedes bajar al local secreto que tienen detrás de la estantería…vale la pena ir solo por verlo!!!!.

This place is really unique. The staff and bartenders are really friendly and hospitable. They made great recommendations based on your drink taste. I liked the secret underground section through the bookshelf, super cool!

Not been the place physically but bought some not-too-expensive but uncommon whiskies from their website. Very competitively priced, and order was fulfilled within a week to a Scottish address where things used to take at least a day or two longer to get to.

This is everything you need in a whiskey bar. The staff is very engaging and friendly and their selection would require many visits before I would be able to conquer them all. The bar is a little small, but I think that adds to the character as it creates a more engaging experience and a feeling of a community and interaction. I will be back every time I am in London. Malika (sp?) was SO amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. We talked about my preferences and she guided me to a number to sniff before ordering. She let me keep the bottles as I sipped three different ones, which was very helpful. Needed up buying a bottle of my fav. I recommend you try the ships own brand -great value. Wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend or it’s eye candy appeal, knowledgeable staff and great location and prices.

Nothing beats a quick stop off at Milroy's, if you're into your whisky you'll be like a kid in a sweet shop. Excellent selection of single malts available to drink in . Attentive service from knowledgeable staff. Definitely the type of place you could lose a few hours in. They always have some interesting independent bottlings and on occasion a limited selection of exclusive barrel picks from American distilleries . Prices are reasonable and there's always something new to try. Highly recommended of you find yourself in Soho

Nice selection of interesting whisky, knowledgeable staff and lovely ambiance. My only recommendation is that they give you a pipette to be able to add water more accurately.

Son did me proud with this one, what a gem of a find. Waitresses are incredibly knowledgeable and will enquire as to preferred style of whiskey AND ask for your budget so as to ensure you don't break the bank. The whisky recommended to me was an absolute beaut of dram, couldn't be more pleased to have stumbled upon it and will be taking a bottle home with me. Great experience, great atmosphere, top spot.

Overall Milroy's, offers a splendid experience with excellent service and reasonable pricing. However, I have been consistently disappointed by my inability to secure a reservation for a table downstairs, regardless of how far in advance I attempt to do so.

Amazing experience, the sight of over 300 whiskies behind the bar is enough to get anyone excited. The staff are very friendly and provided that it isn't too busy, they're more than happy to educate you if you are new to whiskey or want to expand your knowledge

Absolutely love going to Milroy's. You can try so many new kinds of whisky (or whiskey) especially those on limited editions. The service is always amazing. They really are passionate about their job and make a point to give you that personalised service. If only the place was a little bit bigger. It can be quite packed in the evening and you will be lucky to find a seat, especially if you are not a couple. But overall, I would happily recommend and go back!

The experience of the Milroy's is one of exploration and discovery in whisky and the history and breadth of blends. The staff are wonderfully inclusive and happy to share thoughts on what you may try. The Vault is one of those secret spaces where once you realize the way in you immediately want to take your time . Love this whisky bar! They offer the widest range of whiskies I’ve ever encountered and the staff are very well versed in whisky lore! No menus available. Instead, the bartenders can expertly recommend the perfect whisky based on your liking. The hidden downstairs bar located behind the bookcase adds to the mystique!

As a visitor this was one of the best whiskey bars in London. I found the selection to diverse from across the world offering a selection of whiskey that could only be found in such an incredible bar. The staff have an incredible knowledge of the selection and will offer drams that suited my palate for the night perfectly!

Great staff with an awesome personality to go with it. We went on a Friday night so was a bit packed. The restrooms for mens is in the cellar. Good luck finding the door... Sure hope you like books. You may need to brush up on them to get to the pisse
