Great food and atmosphere! I was worried with it being a 50’s diner that the enjoyment would be primarily from the decor but the food definitely surprised me. I’d recommend the shakes. Great especially for hanging out with people

The service was great here. Food came out in 20 minutes gave me and my dad time to play pool which was only £2 per game. Food was really good. Really happy and would recommend🥰The only thing I would say it was understaffed but they done great the two of them.

I went there with the family, around 6 of us altogether and it was really nice. Everyone got to eat something they enjoyed. The chips are great and so are most things there especially the milkshake. Though keep in mind to get something that will make you very full as there are also great desserts you can have. The chicken n waffle was good to have, very weird as they are things that usually don't go together but were delicious. In general, it's a nice place to go but expect to spend around £20 per person if buying individual things and not ones to share.

I am slightly disappointed with the food. We had wings, they were OK. We also had potato skins, but it's basically potato not just the skin. Mac and cheese was fine.

Awful service no one acknowledged us had to find our seat ourselves 10 min past no one came with a menu wasn't busy at all. Non of the staff spoke properly staff need training.It was new years was getting really Frustrated with kids. Walked out no got no apology nothing disappointing. Big mo’s was never like that I don’t know what happened.

We stayed close to Big Moe's on a short vacation and came here for English Breakfast. We were attended to and served by a happy and friendly lady called Vish with a smile. The food was good. It was definitely better than average. We decor and the atmosphere is very American Diner like. Most people would love it. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. And a call out to Vish for bringing a smile on our faces. She was very kind and friendly. I would most certainly recommend this place and would come back if I ever come back to this part of London.

I went to Big Moe’s before about 10 years ago when it was near the dual carriageway bit. This is my first time visiting the new store in Ilford. I went with my wife and baby. The decor is really vibrant and gives a good American vibe. The food was very good, better than I expected. Drink options were fantastic (halal). staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very family friendly. Only negative is that the price is on the high side but I think it’s worth it for a family meal. I would come again for sure.

The waitress (duty manager) took my partner's breakfast order and I asked for the lunch menu. She put through his order, immediately seated the next group of guests, took their order, and completely forgot about me. I never got the menu. My boyfriend's food was done, she is still taking that same table's order and explaining the breakfast menu to them in great detail (although she rushed us to order when we entered saying breakfast would only be available for another 2 minutes). I thought it to be rude to interrupt her while she was dealing with her set of guests but I hadn't anticipated she would have spent so much time there... our energy/experience was already ruined and we decided to go to Nando's which is right next door, simply because we found that type of service to be appalling. In her defense, she was the only person handling the front of house, so please address your staffing issues otherwise you will keep losing business to more reliable establishments that are literally adjacent to you.

Reserved a table for 13.Got there to find our table had been given away. Despite asking many times were only served drinks 90 minutes later. Don't ask how long it took for the food to arrive. People who arrived after we did got served and even left before we got food. Was

We hadn’t been to Big Moe’s for quite sometime so 9 of us decided to go. The food was very average. The chicken burgers were tasty but those that had the classic burger from the family meal were still hungry after we left. The chicken steak was dry and lacked any taste. The fully loaded burger and the wings were great though!

Went with my family today and before choosing from the menu, I asked if the restaurant takes blue light discount and waiter said yes. We proceeded to order a family burger deal which cost £45. We had our food and drinks etc. When it was time to pay…I reminded the waiter about the Blue light to which he went back and then after several minutes arrived saying he can’t give us discount because it’s a set menu. What was very disappointing was that they had the cheek to charge us extra 5% for service the charge but refused to give discount dispite not mentioning anything before ordering. I asked whose decision was to not give us the discount and the waiter replied it was the manager, who stood by the counter looking very smug and arrogant. Such a shame how the service was to such disappointment.

Finally a diner with proper food! Checked out @bigmoesdiner in Ilford and it was a refreshing experience. For once, was good to see a pure 50's decor and this was a nice change. Food: Huge menu but after trying a variety of items here's my pick: Burgers - they mince their beef and I can appreciate the difference. Even the cheeseburger wasn't a smash burger but just hit the spot. Their Brisket burger was tasty too and I loved the addition of the jalepeno for a kick. I tried the steak but was disappointed as it was quite tough even though it looked juicy. In the presence of smoked meat anyway a steak is always a tough one! Smoked: The Beef ribs are the way to go! Nicely glazed in a BBQ sauce but soft and smokey too. Brisket was decent but preferred the ribs here. Their Cajun chicken is impressive too. You can see how juicy it was and flavour and succulent. Their BBQ tenders were great too. Milkshake: Some of the best milkshake I've had. I ordered the Peanut butter and Salted Caramel twice it was that good. This makes sense as I then tried their £1.99 viral ice cream and this was a mcflurry killer! All in all a fantastic dining experience with some really good food.

When we came there a New cashier lady learning she done very well despite being nervous-dont worry u will soon get it- manager and staff friendly, smiley, food wasn't that bad don't understand why my burger had been cut in half other than to see if cooked , I'd go gain so see ya soon

Ordered two hotdog meals for takeaway. I was the first customer in the diner and was told it will take around 10 minutes. Waited more 30 minutes for my order. Charged me extra by mistake then refunded me by cash. The price does not match the quality of food. The hotdogs were standard and quite dry. You can get better from the food stalls/carts. Fries were half full. Overall very dissapointed.

Food was pretty bog standard, some dishes lacked flavour. Service was a let down at times - for example some of our group were almost done eating while others were still waiting for food. 3 star given they offered some ice creams and took one meal off the bill due to issues.

Me and my partner came here for the first time and the experience from the beginning to end was fantastic! We were lucky enough to sit in the car booth. Food was absolutely delicious and great portions! All staff were very welcoming and friendly, a special thank you to Zain, Maliah and Saad for their excellent service.

One of the best atmospheres I’ve eaten at. Really classical American diner vibes. Food was good but a bit on the pricier side for what it’s worth. Only let down was the cookie dough milkshake which just tasted like a couple cheap cookies blended in a milkshake. Good quality food though. The waitress Vish was amazing and had great customer service.

First time visiting Big Moe's since they moved from Beckton to Ilford. The reassurant itself is pretty nicely laid out and give you the vibe of being in the an American burger shack place from the past. I made a reservation before hand and requested if it was possible to sit and dine in the car booth. Got there, unfortunately someone was still there as having a childs birthday party. Credit to Big Moe's staff for advising, once the party was done and booth vacated, we could then move from the temporary table allocated to us. In the end, we ended up staying where we were seated as did not want to wait for the other family to go as they were entitled to where they were, plus they had a party going on. Once seated and menus received, we (family of 6) decided what we were going to order and it took some time for the waiter/staff to come along and take out order. Once order was placed, we waited another 20 minutes or so for the food to come out. Was very surprised that the portion size was a bit on the small side, considering what they used to be and also Big Moe's claiming to be an American burger shack. If this is the case then they need to definitely up their portion size. Taste was good, chips were just a handful, sauce range very limited. The lead waiter/worker Zain was very attentive and helpful once the food was served. Not sure if we got value for money due to.portion size, but the do many family pack deals that make it better than ordering each item separately but won't be rushing back to eat there again, but will definitely go back again. The taste is good but portion size is on the smaller side than I would have expected. In the family pack deal for £45, you get 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals that also includes 4 drinks and 4 pots of ice cream, which tasted good as did the the milkshakes too. Definitely not happy with this 'hidden' service charge. Not sure if it's stated anywhere on the menu, but it's a bit underhanded in my opinion.

Can't really comment on the food because WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO ORDER ANY. Everything took super super long from the moment we stepped in and waited to be seated. No acknowledgement from staff that they will be with us. Once we eventually sat down (on the smallest table she can find when it wasn't even busy), she told us to let her know when we are ready to order. When we were finally able to get her attention, she said she will be with us one second. She served food to another table (which is fine) and then just dissappeared. She then told another table who was waiting to order that she will be 2 minutes. She then went to clean tables even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We then decided to leave. Whilst walking out, she said thank you. Thank you for what exactly? That she had less work to do than she already had? Unfortunately won't be coming here again. Went on a Thursday evening at 7pm.
