We went to see Errol Linton at the Hideaway in February, 2020. Only upon entering the venue are you given the stark choice between getting a table somewhere near the stage by saying you are there to dine, with the default being that you are made to stand behind a glass screen completely separated from the main music room near the bar at the back. So, having paid the price of entry, with nothing said about having to dine if you want to be anywhere near the band when you buy the tickets, you are effectively blackmailed into eating from a pretty sparse menu.My grilled seabass was .......a nondescript bit of grllled fish, no more, no less. Waiting staff are constantly passing in front of you without reference to what's going on onstage, no consideration given for people who want to hear the band. People seated around us weren't that interested in the music, more in getting lashed on rosé and arguing. No consideration for others. Errol and his band can do no wrong in my eyes, albeit that that I felt that the performance was inhibited by the setting and they weren't as loose as usual. Shan't be returning unless someone really remarkable plays there, but if they were that remarkable a musician, why would they want to play a venue off the main drag in Streatham?

Came yesterday for a Sunday roast with my girlfriend after hearing some rave reviews from my friends. Safe to say I wasn't disappointed! We didn't book in advance as we didn't know it was going to be busy but after waiting 5 minutes and grabbing a drink at the bar, they had managed to find a spot for us. A great atmosphere and the food was incredible to say the least. A tad pricey, as expected for the area, but it exceeded our expectations!. My girlfriend is vegetarian and gave five stars for their vegetarian roast. Trinity is incredibly accommodating, and their staff didn't make us feel rushed, despite how popular the place was. We will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a delicious home cooked dinner in the comfort of a snug pub. Bonus points for the real fire!

Food was amazing, so good I order 2 extra times to try more food. I love the chicken boa really good size portion and has enough spicy and zing to it. I then tried the chicken wings wow. They were so yum and had this homemade chilli sauce. I then got the pork and prawn wonton that the waitress said is handmade and got the ribs. All of it was 10/10 Highly recommend it. They have bubble tea too.

If I could rate this venue less than 1 star, I would. We arrived for our bottomless brunch on Saturday evening to be greeted by a “closed” sign on the door, with a group of similar bemused-looking people outside. By the time we were escorted to a table, it was already 10 minutes into the brunch booking time. Whilst the drinks did come quickly, they tasted very weak, and the food was akin to frozen Iceland party food - think Findus crispy pancake vibes. Aside from the deafening volume of the music, the “entertainment” consisted of a woman randomly appearing out of nowhere to play with fire for a few minutes. Staff were unfriendly and tried to overcharge us when it came to payment; we had to remind them to deduct the deposit fee. Judging from similar reviews, it seems the staff try their luck by assuming you will be too drunk to notice (not likely with the pitifully weak drinks). We were promptly asked to leave our table at 10pm on the dot due to needing the extra space. We didn’t have a problem with this, so proceeded to find somewhere to hover whilst we finished our drinks, and perched on the end of a large corner sofa with plenty of space. A rather ghastly customer started swearing and hurling abuse at us for no apparent reason, seemingly because they thought they were entitled to commandeer the entire bar area. We reported this to a member of staff, who simply shrugged their shoulders and responded “well it turns into a club at 10pm”. At this point we were rather fed up of the negative and aggressive vibes this place was giving off, so we left. Needless to say, we will not be back. Save your money, and sanity, and book a brunch elsewhere in the area.

Food was so salty it was almost inedible. It didn’t look very appealing either as no care was put into presentation. Essentially just noodles, a few prawns in my case and some tofu in my friend,s dish. Service was not great either. It was packed and can’t understand it.
