Always surprised to find this unique cafe is so quiet. It really is a hidden gem. I visited with nurse friends and they loved the medical decor. You really do have to see it to believe it. Really great selection of hot and cold drinks. Note they only take cards (no cash) which is absolutely in keeping with the modern feel and decor.

Contrary to the other reviews there appears to be no actual food served here!? The menu had a bunch of sandwiches on it. When I asked if there was anything else they advised that there were only sandwiches and that they were pre packaged (honest at least!). I was starving and so ordered one. It was horrid. Could have got something similar from a service station on the A1. Also we ordered a white wine and it was off. The one plus, the single fella working here was very nice and charming.

Berry Tart could have been the nickname of a young female subject of one of the mind-knowingly awful pictures by Martin Eder currently exhibited at this Damian Hurst ego project. However a much more satisfactory and less salacious time was had in Pharmacy 2, the restaurant and bar on the Newport Street Gallery’s mezzanine floor. A typical Hurstian gallery with boxes of drugs in cases on the rear wall, it otherwise contained plump yellow chairs and sofas with conveniently sired charging stations on banquettes. I ordered a camomile tea and a berry tart from an elegant blond lady (clothed unlike her painted counterparts in the exhibition spaces). A couple of network dudes wasted time on laptops in a corner. I hugely enjoyed my tea (yellow camomile globules in a teapot with a little piece of metal protruding provocatively from its spout) and the berry tart.

I came here for a Saturday Lunch, with a friend that I wanted to impress as she was visiting London. This place nailed it. Its situated in Damien Hirsts RIBA award winning gallery near to Vauxhall or Lambeth North Tube stations. The deocor inside is insanely cool, with a mix of some of Damien's most famous peices, I started with some snacks that were recommended by who I think was the manager, she suggested the pork crackling, they were perfectly crunchy, without feeling like you are going to break your teeth and not at all chewy. I accompanied this with a cocktail called a beautiful teaser which on this sunny day was super refreshing. The main courses were all extremely tasty and you cam tell they use premuim suppliers, which also the waiter was very enthusiastic about. A particular highlight was the chips though. For desert which are described as mini puddings we shared 1 each of a chocolate cake and some frozen scandinavian iced berries , which the waiter poured over some warm white chocolate sauce - so good!! the waiter told me this was a desert that Mark Hix used to do when he was the head chef at the Ivy. They had a bottomless bloody mary or prosecco option which seemed good value at £20, which I would definitely like to return to try. All in all, a great, clean, well executed smooth operation, that if you are looking to impress or show off a slightly hidden alternative venue, then this will work a treat.

Visited this restaurant on Easter Sunday with friends from abroad. I did some researches and found that on time out this is the 6th best Sunday roast in London... well it is definitely not. they are two set menus with 2/3 choices for each course (you would expect that the service would be quick as the food? well wrong!) 2 course meal was £24.95 and 3 course was £27.95 Arrived at the table the host asked us we wanted water, so yes we asked for tap water which arrived in a nice bottle. We chose onion soup for starter, they didn't come with any bread whatsoever, we ask for it and 15 minutes later (and once we finished the soup) it arrived. We order also Sunday roast for each us (2 chicken and 2 beef (medium-rare), those took about 1.30h after the table was cleaned from the starter. A table next to us that arrived after us received the same meal well before us! Once we received the meal, both of the medium-rare beef were more rare-pink than how we requested but we ate anyway because angry and it would have taken way to long to have sorted out. The Sunday roast comes decomposed (you need to put your own veggie on your plate, what you receive is roast potatoes, cabbage, cheesy cauliflower and gravy (really running gravy)), no parsnips nor broccoli. To apologise for the slow arrival of the main courses the manager offered a free bottle of red wine. I could hear that the table next to us had similar issue, and they arrived well before us but received the main courses well after us. My friends had the 3 course meal that included dessert, which for me they look really poor in portion size. The service in general was quite bad and low in standards, it took about 15 minutes to have the bill and another 10 to pay and it wasn't busy at all. The original tap waters that we received were NOT tap waters but chargeable waters for the whopping price of £4 per bottle, i have asked to remove them. at the end including service we paid £36 each, it is quite a lot for 2/3 courses meal and a bottle of wine and receiving that kind of service.. I won't be going back.

The idea of the place was much better than the execution. There was no conection between the theme of the restaurant and the menu. Lunch started well with an amazing salmon mousse but the rest of the food was disappointing - 5 out of the 5 main courses that we ordered lacked seasoning on the protein. Side orders were good though.

We had a perfectly acceptable and pleasant enough Sunday lunch which was reasonably priced, served amiably and competently with wine that was not greedily marked up. My doubts about conceptual art were further reinforced by the vapidity and banality of the exhibition there - but we had just been to see the Impressionists in London at Tate Britain and surely even DH or Koons would not compare themselves favourably to Monet and Pissarro. First off, it is a lovely building and the decor is something a bit unusual which added additional interest. We all went for the set Sunday lunch (all with beef) and the food was great (beef cooked as desired, and tasty), and staff attentive but not overbearing. Starters and desserts were also very good. Price is also quite good value, 27 a head for the 3 courses, plus some more for wine.

After going round the gallery, we stopped off at the Pharmacy on the first floor mainly to look as the whole place is a work of art with lots of works of art within it. The snack menu drew us in deeper. My wife chose...

We came here when it had first opened so it was a bit disorganised and staff weren't overly professional however the value was pretty good, nice food and lovely décor! Would go again.

Pharmacy 2 is located above a nice art gallery. The decoration is very original and unusual, full of different pieces of art. The food is okay, the menu is very basic. Portions are very small while prices are quite expensive.
