Restaurant managed to squeeze us in on a very busy Friday evening. Unforgettable halibut with lobster beurre blanc. The room with the bar is very noisy, try to book in the other room if this matters to you. Very friendly efficient service. A great local restaurant.
Nice open plan bar with friendly staff. Beer well kept. Service is quick and efficient. Tried the fish and chips. Chips perfectly cooked and crisp. Nice flaky fish but the batter was a little limp. My wife had the pie and mash which she says was excellent. Would certainly come back
Want to say a huge thank you to Sheikh who very kindly collected my AirPods, kept them safe and communicated with me so nicely when I called so worried, and had to collect them at a later date. Handled it so professionally and kindly. And the food I had was speedy before a show at Southbank Thank you!

I popped in earlier for a takeaway hot chocolate. As Yasima made the drink I tried to pay by tapping my Freedom Pass on the card reader. She and I were both amused and spent a few moments chuckling together. I’d never underestimate the value of such a friendly connection with a stranger.
Claimed it closed at 6pm. Perfect, we thought, as we had a dinner booking next door at 6. We arrived at 5.40 and ordered 3 coffees. At 5.45 they unceremoniously threw us out as they were closing. No 5-minute warning, just LEAVE. Hadn't even been able to start the coffee as it was too hot. Other customers received the same treatment. If you close at 5.45, say you close at 5.45. Don't lie and say you close at 6.

I tried Fish&chips and it was very tasty. The cashiers and otger workers were kind and helpful and the mood of the building is also good. There are funny paintings on the wall about different famous people which keep up the good mood

Used to really enjoy burger king, but it's gone way down in quality and service. This branch is at a train station so you'd think they would have common items like fries and other sides ready to go. Instead, massive waits for food. After 20 mins, asked how much longer and they just said it's still cooking. Waited another 5 mins before I abandoned the £25 order so I could get my train.
The price - I expect train station prices to be higher, but this was ridiculously high for a (large) meal and a couple of regular sides.
I had a great experience at the Spice of India. Food was absolutely amazing and tastes very authentic and the staff were lovely! Would definitely recommend!
