I had an amazing experience at Wagamama South Bank, Sohanur greeted us straight away with a very friendly smile outside in the cold he brought us in and found us a table quickly. He took our drinks order quickly and also asked us about any allergies, we replied “yes, dairy”. We were then greeted by a very friendly manager, who made accommodation and recommendations for ourselves. Sohanur brought out drinks very promptly, and with and calming and joyful energy. Nothing was too much trouble and it’s rare to come across someone who brings so much heart into what they do! When he disclosed that he was new to the role, we were in shock, he’s amazing.

Went there for my birthday and I was treated horribly, starting from the manager at the door, I called to notify that we were going to be late, when me and my friends arrived, she said that “she didn’t get the message that I left to notify we where going to be late and she tried to call” when I show her my phone to prove that I called not once but twice she just said in a very passive-aggressive way “I didn’t get the text, I’m sorry but we gave your tables away” Ia basically begged for her to give us one of the tables in front even if there were no place to seat, we would stand and that’s it, she said to wait, then ignored us for like 10-15mins, we stand there at the door while the staff just passed by and looked at us very weirdly, then someone else came and took us to a table (after being told that they didn’t have any), the waiter assigned to us at the begging wasn’t great nor welcoming but I’m giving 2 stars just because the waiter coming after him, I can’t remember his name, but it was this skinny guy that wear glasses, he actually was amazing, even if it was very last minute cause he came when we were almost leaving, he gave me a birthday cocktail and sang happy birthday to me, he even rapped, that was very cool, we all told him we loved him and that we were very grateful that he was our waiter even if it was only for a couple minutes. In conclusion, I’m never going back there, which is a shame cause I really loved las iguanas, visited a couple times in the past but the staff working there now, they are horrible (excluding that last waiter that looked after us, so sad I can’t remember his name).

If the waiter tells you that your card has not been swiped, you will be charged a second time. (But you obviously made the payment successfully after seeing the online banking) Remember not to brush it a second time Otherwise, you will have to go back and talk to your bank for a long time. It takes two or three months to get your money back And these waiters will not take any responsibility

The 5 starts is for a member of staff called ilyan . I was with my 2 and a half year old nephew and ilyan taught him how to use the kids chopsticks and checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was ok . He was very attentive, helpful and kind and did all that he could to make sure we were happy and looked after . People like this Make all the difference

Visited early evening on a Friday and was very busy, which sadly impacted service. Food was tasty but the chicken teriyaki was very dry and little sauce. Getting menus to order desert took a long while and then even longer to order. Drinks were just as bad. Sadly some very busy staff who were just focused on what they were already doing. The sticky toffee apple donut thing for dessert wasn't great to miniature bits of apple, and the whole thing was cold despite being deep fried.. wouldn't recommend as desert at all!

Typical for a Wagamama restaurant. Service was quick and there was plenty of room. We ordered starters and mains, plus drinks which all appeared in a random order, but I’ve got used to that! Basically, once it’s cooked it’s out with you. The service was good and they made sure we received everything we’d ordered. No complaints, the food was fresh and hot and we had a corner table which was quieter than being in the main part of the restaurant. Have been a couple of times recently, so it must be good.

It is worth going to this place just to meet the manager who is an absolutely beautiful human being. Talk about class! And genuine customer service. I am not overly keen on the food at this place but I would go back based on the service. It was my friend’s Birthday and we got cake, a lovely singsong and a Wagamama book. Hats off to the manager (blonde hair, did not catch your name) you literally rock!!!!

Very good and filling food. I chose a bowl of noodles with other side dishes. Very loud atmosphere. The only bad thing was the extremely long waiting time. There was a long line and long wait for the food but it was worth it. It is also well located near the London Eye, nice staff too. One of my favorite restaurants in London. If you have the roads by, you really should go here.

Normally, I am not a person who makes complaints, but my birthday and Christmas celebration got ruined after they charged us twice (almost three times) for our meal. After 2 months still haven't got our refound back, only empty promises. Their customer service is horrible, including their management. I am deeply disappointed over this experience. I liked Wagamama restaurants I tried before. However, I recommend to everyone avoid this place for any costs! Or count with being cheated for your payment.

Went in for the 'blue Monday deal' that specified that the 'Ramen rush' started at 3pm.. we were told that this specific restaurant decided to go against policy and start it at 12pm so it was already over. very disappointed as this was not specified and we were sat at a table by 2:55pm ready for 3pm which stated in promotional emails and multiple times on the terms and services. this was a great disappointment as a big fan of Wagamamas. we were then told that the Covent Garden one was starting soon so we went and missed it by '2' minutes I just don't think it was fair at all. why falsely advertise.

Worst wagamama I have tried. Teriyaki chicken was plain, tasteless with hardly teriyaki sauce no spices. Couldn’t eat it. Asked for salt and pepper, no pepper could he found in the whole restaurant. You sit depressingly under the railway bridge, with the noise of the trains. Terrible experience, don’t bother to go there. Food is not eatable!

terrible service!! me and my partner walked in at around 8.45pm today for our dinner. It was buzzing and we got the table beside the bar area. it was so uncomfortable as the staff kept looking at us and it madr me very uncomfortable. At one point, some of the servers gathered around next to our table for 'casual chat' and I could see the Indian server yelling in hindi to her colleaguues. Just cos we are ethnically indian, does not give them any right to act so unprofessional around us. Oh and the worst part was when we tried to ask for the bill.. the guy just came over and kept the card machine at my bf's face and he didn't even had the courtesy to say thankyou . just took the card machine even before the payment was processing. So so annoyed at these people's lack of basic civility!! Being an indian , I felt both embarassed and irritated at their unprofessional behaviour!!!

Had a late lunch today with family at the royal festival hall , great atmosphere the restaurant was fairly busy , we didn't have to wait for a table. Had a busy day with kids on Oxford Street and before taking the last train my family insisted they would like to have some food and I had to look around what restaurant is open, unfortunately I end up here I knew we have limited time so I wanted something quick and leave but as we were shown to the table, no one came to take orders and we have to get the menu from the front desk. After 10 minutes the waiter came and asked what would you like to order, not many option for vegetarian so I asked him do you suggest something..!! He was not interested and told me the kitchen is closing so if we need food then we need to order fast or go hungry. My kids were hungry so I manage to order for them but didn't like to order anything for myself as the guy was rude. I order the food and drinks after waiting for 30 min no drinks and didn't knew what was happing to the food so had to complaint to the other waiter. He was I will check and then he disappeared, we had to take out our own water bottle from the shopping bag and gave to the kids to drink water. I could see the food was on the pass section and no one is picked it up. That's the time I lost it and told a passing waiter that can you at least give the food on the table. Half the food arrived and rest we still waited and as the food finally arrived and we were eating the same waiter came to me with the bill and asked me to pay the bill as they were closing. That's the time I told him to call the Manager as I was not in a mood to even talk to him. The manager came and told me that he will remove few dishes for the bad experience, not the kind of response I wanted but I was to late to make a fuss. Never going to that unit again. Senior management should look into this as a waring sign standards are dropping and staff don't seem to care much. Really a shame ...!!

I recently visited Wagamama and really enjoyed the food—it was delicious, and the service was attentive. Thank you for maintaining such a high standard in your dishes and dining experience. However, I would like to mention a concern politely. During my visit, I noticed an issue with body odor from some staff members, which affected the overall dining experience. The food was okay nothing special for the price but I did like the gyoza. Was sat by the door which was open even though it was freezing outside so had to ask to move. Service wasn’t very good i got my meal before my dad then we were waiting for a while before anyone realised he didn’t have his. Ordered a green tea and it came in a stained glass so i had to ask for a new one. Overall it wasn’t very clean and service was poor.

Over 20 years ago, I tried Wagamama and was horrified by how bad the dish was. Coming from an Asian family of talented chefs who deeply value good food, I avoided the restaurant ever since. However, a friend of mine, who has specific dietary requirements, suggested we go because she could eat there. I shared my previous experience with her and later with Iliyan, the manager. I explained that I wanted to try a dish that was popular and unique to Wagamama—not one rooted in traditional Asian cuisine, as I learnt tonight Wagamama is more known for British-Asian fusion. Iliyan was incredibly hospitable, carefully checked for my food allergies, and made sure we had a wonderful experience. To ensure I didn’t have to wait too long for my dish while he confirmed my food allergies, Iliyan thoughtfully brought us a complimentary side of pulled mushrooms, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. The dish featured pulled mushrooms atop crispy rice, paired with an Asian-inspired cream sauce. I do think Wagamama could benefit from adding photos to the menu because the description didn’t fully do it justice. For my main course, Iliyan recommended the sambal crispy chicken—a modern take on a Malaysian dish I’m familiar with—and it was absolutely scrumptious. When I thanked Iliyan and shared how impressed I was despite my initial hesitation, he expressed his gratitude to my friend for bringing me in and to me for giving Wagamama another chance. To my surprise, he went above and beyond by gifting me a signed cookbook personalized with my name, one of his favorite desserts (a ginger cheesecake), and a refreshing cocktail called Breakfast in Tokyo—light, sweet, and utterly delightful. Thank you so much, Iliyan, for taking such great care of us and for showing me how much Wagamama has evolved. Your hospitality truly changed my perspective, and I appreciate the effort you put into making our visit exceptional. *Definitely give the pulled mushrooms a try.*

Had an amazing experience at Wagamama! The food was fantastic, chicken gyoza was crispy and flavorful, and both the ramen and donburi dishes were absolutely delicious. Everything was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. What made the visit truly special was our waitress, Arianny. She was incredible, so welcoming, full of positive energy, and went above and beyond to make us feel at great. Her friendliness and attentiveness were unmatched. Horrible experience. 1-there is no choice if a person is allergic to peace, the only option available is vegetable gyoza, with the uncertainty of contamination. 2- we waited 15 minutes for a bottle of water, despite trying and trying to call a “waiter/manager”. 3-completely dirty table and dirty glasses with stains. 4-no one came to do the double check, if everything had gone well. I strongly don't recommend anyone to come here, especially if you want to have dinner with friends or your partner. Absolutely avoid

We were invited to this restaurant. There were 5 of us and 3 of us liked it, but my ramen was the worst ramen I've ever eaten in my life - completely tasteless. The second -different- ramen I ordered also did not resemble ramen. We asked for just rice for the child and we received rice (dry as a chip) and pasta (hard to eat in this form). Even though we asked for just rice, both rice (which is understandable) and pasta were added to the bill (2 pounds each). I won't come back a second time.

First time visiting since being gluten free, had to ask two people before I could get a gluten free menu which was tiny 😭 the manager had to take my order but he was so nice and really careful about my food! The food was awful sadly, there was no taste to the pad Thai at all, I got it without prawns and chilli but it tasted like nothing, I asked for salt but they gave me an empty grinder but at this point I felt like a pain to keep asking. We then had to get someone’s attention to order desert waited around 15 mins and tried asking someone else because no one came. Sadly the desert I wanted was defrosting and the second choice was out of stock but at this point the manager was servicing us - who I can’t stress enough was actually amazing! And he helped us with our deserts and gave me it on the house due to the issues with availability. Apart from the great manager, I was really let down with the food so sadly will take Wagamama’s off my gluten free safe list.

Food was good but felt a little rushed - the chicken dumplings could have been cooked longer for a better flavour and texture as they were a little mushy and not at all crispy. Everything else was good, I would have liked to have been asked how I wanted my steak cooked, they usually do in other stores so I'm not too sure why I wasn't, not a big fan of well done steak.

Hadn't been to wagamama for a while and wanted a treat. Food came quickly and was tasty however for the price I would say portion size was small and left me wanting more. I found the service near the end of the meal was poor. I asked a member of staff for the bill three times. The first time the response was positive but the staff member just went back to his position standing by the entrance. 10 minutes later I asked the same person for the bill. His response was "where are you sitting?" (I was the table directly behind him where I asked the first time). He then says yes but then leaves the restaurant to talk on his phone. I then had to ask a different member of staff for the bill, it came and I left. I don't think I'll return to this particular location

I had the pleasure of dining at Wagamama, we were 4 people and one dog, they give us an amazing table on the terrace and the service was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and immediately made to feel welcome. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and they seemed genuinely invested in ensuring we had a memorable experience. The timing was impeccable—our drinks arrived quickly, and the courses were perfectly paced. Every interaction with the team members felt personal and thoughtful; they were knowledgeable about the menu, offered insightful recommendations, and were happy to accommodate dietary restrictions without hesitation, we had Maria, an extraordinary manager that runs the place like not many. They control perfectly allergic situations, from the order till the efficiency on handling the food, cross contamination was present at all moments. What truly stood out was how seamless the service felt. Water glasses were always filled, plates cleared efficiently, and yet, the entire experience remained relaxed and unhurried. It’s rare to find a place where the service is as remarkable as the food, but Wagamama exceeded all expectations. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, the service at Wagamama will elevate your experience. Highly recommended!

For the number of staff working the service was very poor. We were seated quickly and that was about it. Our server was lovely and probably one of the only people that looked to be working. We heard one staff member refuse to clear up an empty table, there were 7 staff just standing around the bar at one point and there were multiple dirty tables around us throughout our meal. We had to look around and get someone’s attention to order dessert and he seemed pissed off that we had asked him and not our assigned server (who was busy). Also saw several servers spraying table wipe right next to people who were still eating. Overall this was our worst experience at a Waga Mama and it was all based on service because the food was great. But what’s good food without good service. 🤷🏼♀️

My meal was amazing same with sides and drinks we ordered, the problem began when I asked where is my husbands meal after 30 minutes it turned out that the person who was taking our order forgot to put it through! He didn’t apologise he didn’t had any solutions for us either. Ignorance!

I visited this place a several times but today I was extremely surprised by the manager Iliyan who was serving us with such a professional attitude and behaviour! The place was busy as usual and he made it sure me and my boyfriend had everything on time ! I want to say a big thank you ! We had a wonderful evening! The food and cocktails was delicious as always!

I’ve not been to a Wagamama for a few years but if this place is a yardstick it has really gone down hill! The south Asian serving staff seem more interested in staring at customers than actually serving and our waitress has no idea on how to serve food! It’s simply thrown down at the end of the table and help yourself ! Appalling really. Katsu curry was decent … if you like sauce that tasted like it was microwaved from a tescos ready-meal 😂. Really enjoyed the chicken katsu - was crispy. First meal I’ve had when I don’t want to pay the service charge it was that bad!

Matthew did a great job. One point of feedback: please put instructions/pictures to show how to use automatic Dyson water faucet/dryer in the toilets. Far from intuitive. Other than top notch all round including the new app.

Fresh, quick, and tasty! We grabbed a bite at Ned’s Noodle Box and loved the generous portions and flavorful noodles. They're known for their healthy, fresh meals and homemade lemonade—which was a refreshing standout. Service was fast and friendly, and the Southbank location made it a great stop while exploring the area. Would definitely come back for a quick, satisfying meal!
