Wing Loon Cafe in Lambeth

No thrills, just good honest basic food. We had the deal for £9.30 for noodles with pork, chicken or vegetables and a can of drink.

Muy decepcionado. . Compré una comida para llevar con un lado de rollos de primavera que cuesta £ 6. 50 , llegué a casa y abrí el contenedor para encontrar 4 pequeños rollos de primavera empapados del tamaño de mi dedo meñique. . Parece que fueron comprados a Lidl y solo se calentaron .. De ninguna manera cocinó estos rollos de primavera.

Mi amigo y yo estábamos buscando un lugar para comer (somos londinenses y visitantes habituales de Lower Marsh, la calle en la que está el restaurante). Fuimos capaces de traer nuestro propio vino y eran muy serviciales para mí como vegano. Tuve un delicioso fideos sin gluten y veganos de frijoles negros con verduras y tofu. WILSON es una leyenda, el mejor servidor.

Mi novia y yo fuimos a almorzar y desafortunadamente hubo algún tipo de confusión con la orden de mi novia. Ella había pedido un plato de pollo y mientras esperábamos que llegaran nuestros pedidos, habló sobre el plato que había pedido como lo había hecho antes en otros establecimientos y esperaba que fuera tan agradable. También me dijo que había tenido una charla breve pero agradable con el joven que tomó su pedido en el mostrador. Cuando llegó su plato, poco después del mío, claramente no era pollo. De hecho, era pato. Los dos teníamos hambre y sugerí que se veía bien, pero en ese momento, mientras mi novia, que nunca pide pato, estaba considerando si conformarse con el pato, una mujer mayor que parecía que podría ser el chef le dijo a mi novia que había estado detrás del joven mientras mi novia hacía su pedido y había escuchado claramente a mi novia pedir pato no pollo. Mi novia cuestionó esta afirmación y dejó en claro que había ordenado pollo no pato, sino la mujer mayor pegada a sus armas e insistió en que había escuchado a mi novia ordenar el pato. Mi novia se puso comprensiblemente agitada e insistió en que le sirvieran el plato de pollo que había pedido, pero la mujer repitió pato se le ordenó no pollo. Fue entonces cuando decidí dejar el café como me pareció como si mi novia estuviera siendo acusada de estúpida o mentirosa. Pueden ocurrir malentendidos, pero sentí que la señora mayor manejó mal la situación y era mejor irse que insistir en una comida de reemplazo o un reembolso. Mi novia no estaba contenta conmigo, ya que sentía que estaba en todo su derecho de insistir en que le sirvieran lo que pidió, además de que había pagado por la comida. La convencí de que se fuera y pagué una comida de reemplazo en el restaurante tailandés de al lado. Así que habíamos pagado por dos comidas y dos refrescos, pero nos fuimos sin obtener un reembolso o el plato que mi novia había pedido. Esto bien podría ser un poco oscuro, pero aconsejaría a otros clientes que le pidan al encargado del pedido que confirme lo que se ha pedido antes de pagar.

This is a cafe not a restaurant, so don’t going all dressed up to go here. The food is really good and so are the prices, you could have a good meal her with a cold drink for £10. It’s is your basic back street cafe with wooden tables and chairs, order and pay at the counter before you get your food. If you are hungry you can’t go wrong.

A regular place to visit when fancying Asian food. Food served quickly, and freshly made. First time I visited during lunch time. I was surprised how busy it was compared to dinner time.

the people that run this cafe/restaurant, are the most miserable, and unwelcoming hosts I have ever met. They are quick to take the money,(you have to pay first) but slow and lazy at the service. I got ordered to sit in a certain place, where the table had gravy spill from previous diners. I asked if it could be cleaned, and they wiped it with an old damp cloth. The tables have not been cleaned properly in months? years? I ordered roast duck with rice, and tea. The duck was dry and old. I never got my tea, despite reminding them, and they charged me 50 pence for a small plastic pot of chilli oil. I requested my money back for the tea, as point of principle. I will never go there again. They need to clean the place properly, and up their game.

Just a plain looking Chinese restaurant you could easily walk past without noticing. However, if looking for something very casual in the area then you could do a lot worse. I had fried pork and rice and it is properly done the Cantonese way. Shop and toilet were basic but you don’t always need fancy. This served up a good meal quickly and I’ll be back one day no doubt when round that way.

I have visited previously. This was my first visit after the lock downs. Not at all fancy, quite basic restaurant, but usually it's that type of atmosphere that produced the best food. There is a good selection of choices on the menu. You order at the counter, and food is brought o your table. Whilst the young lady at the counter is very quiet, service and food delivery is quick. The food is very tasty. I will visit again when in the area.
