Received a warm welcome from the couple who run this place. Very authentic Italian feel. Great selection of breads and sandwich fillings. Liked that the meats a sliced immediately to order. 6 on the pricey side but well worth it compared to the ubiquitous chain outlets.
Ordered the Roma sandwich/toastie and my friend ordered the carbonara pasta for lunch. Absolutley incredible flavour, good portion sizes and great prices. I honestly want to go back as often as I can and try all the other sandwiches listed - fast and friendly service, clean, and you can see/tell they put the effort into doing it all properly.
Well seasoned appetiser, “Cuadril - Rump - 300g” and “Fried Egg”.
Nice “Chimichuri” sauce.
Good looking “Spinach” (side dish). However, the spinach served as a side dish had an odd taste like rotten vegetables.
Fantastic experience! It was my first afternoon tea, and I honestly didn't know what to expect. Beautiful location, a very professional (Italian) waitress welcomed us, explaining to us in detail how the experience worked, in all its facets. We start with a selection of savory ones, then move on to a selection of sweets, and then end up with the piece de resistance which are 3 mini-cakes dedicated to the theme (in this period the Hokusai wave). For each of these courses you can choose a different tea/herbal tea, for a total of 3 choices. For any advice the staff is always available to recommend the right combinations. The portions are right, and if you want you can ask for an encore of one or more courses (we did this for the initial savory ones). Everything was delicious and special, from start to finish.
I immediately announced that I had celiac disease, and they were immediately available and prepared for GLUTEN-FREE. They brought me practically everything, but in a gluten-free version, and everything was excellent (the scones made by them are worth mentioning!!). Unfortunately they only brought 2 of the 3 cakes, because they hadn't yet managed to replicate one in the sg version.
In general it was an experience definitely worth repeating, with refined dishes and top-notch staff.
The restaurant is a little small leading to it feeling a little overcrowded at times but the food is amazing. Me and my partner couldn’t get enough of the steaks.
No complaints about my meal at Albertini. I try to limit my pasta intake but decided to go all in for some spaghetti carbonara. It was delicious and then I went in for the cheesecake that was obviously store bought but still good ending for my meal. My server was attentive enough with a smile. Food came out quickly. Restaurant was loud or maybe it was just the crowd at the time.
We were at the Swan last night and felt like we were at home in the living room from the start. Great atmosphere, Andy did a great job (thx Andy 🤟) and we were full too. Lovely evening in a great atmosphere...
