Best persian in London! So beautiful, clean, and crisp restaurant. Food was wonderful and sooo tasty! The staff were so nice and kind, and very quick with service. Recommend this place with a solid 10/10

I ate here recently with friends on a Saturday evening. There's a wide range of Iranian dishes on the menu, and prices are reasonable. Unfortunately the service is bit variable - my main course arrived before I'd even finished eating the starter, and a couple of requests had to be repeated. Otherwise it was OK.

Almas has maintained its high standard. I went back there after a break and it was as good as ever. Excellent food, good service, very friendly staff.

All the dishes we tried were delicious, very lightly cooked and well seasoned. The meats were very tender and succulent. We had some very pleasant homemade lemonade and the desert and tea was very good. Classic Persian decor and good service. We enjoyed the whole experience.

7 family members, each tried a different main course. Baba ganoush and stuffed vine leaves as starters, both very good, served with fresh made thin crispy bread. Persian meats and kebabs differ in flavour from Turkish fare - often accompanied by lemon and pomegranate sauces and marinades for example. Lamb shank, chicken, lamb kababs (kabab torsh) and lamb chops (shishlik) all excellent. Traditional Persian lamb & herb stew, Gormeh Sabzi, my cousin found a little salty, but his Tajik friend thought it was ok. Khoresht-E Fesenjan, sweet and sour stew of chicken, ground walnuts & pomegranate puree was very tasty. The steamed rice is served shaped like an upside down bowl, with a crispy saffron top. The venue is located in a rather bland looking modern block, and the internal decor might be described as 'proud Persian' white with gold trim, large Persian artworks on the walls. Seats are comfortable, plenty of space. Main problem is parking - mostly permit holders only, but there are some pay by phone (2 hour) bays outside, but not many - I had to circle around for ten minutes or so before one bceame free. Good service, tho with only one other table occupied, it seemed a little strange to use the button pressing device they left on our table for whenever we wanted service.

Recommended by Airbnb host, the place was mostly empty when we arrived. The staff and manager are authentic Iranians, and the ambiance tries to be authentic Iranian opulent as well. But its the food that steals the show. We had salad, humous, and bread appetizers. You can always judge the quality of ME restaurant by humous. For mains we had chicken kebabs and okra. Fantastic. Or brilliant as locals would say. Chicken was moist and tender, and okra was slightly crispy outside. We have been patronizing ME restaurants for 30+ years in NYC metro area, and probably clocked some 200 visits to Turkish, Iranian, Lebanese, Israeli, Azeri, etc. places. The chicken and okra at Almas were in the top 5 of our experiences ever.
