Very nice and chilled atmosphere, very comfortable chairs and lovely staffs. The food portions are great, enough to fill you in even the foodies. Will come back again.

An amazing memory with amazing food and

My family has hosted two bridal showers at Almas restaurant in the past year. They have both been magnificent. The food is to a very high standard and absolutely delicious. 10/10 would be my rating for their food. The service is also exceptional. They provide you with everything that you need and also check up on you several times throughout the event to ask whether we need more food, drinks or help with anything else. They are very accommodating and I cannot wait to attend another family event here! Thank you very much for the amazing service!

The atmosphere is good. Big restaurant with delicious food. Service is only good if it’s a small group otherwise I have no good experience. The lady who served us did not clean the table or bring clean cutleries after finishing the starter. I was embarrassed In front of my guests. The food was delicious but the portions of kebabs were ridiculously small! They are children portions!! No other Iranian restaurant has such small portions. The main problems is the toilet which is downstairs with no lift available.there are about about 20 stairs I think. No elderly or anyone with mobility issue can go to this restaurant. I am surprised they even have the license without disabled toilets or a lift. Altogether, I would t go there again and do not recommend it.

We came here 3 years ago and the food was amazing. After visiting today, I can safely say that things have gone downhill sadly. We ordered a tabbouleh salad and yogurt with nan to start, and 2 chicken dishes. The salad was sadly not a tabbouleh…you can see from the picture that there is absolutely no bulgur in it. Moving on from the salad, the chicken pieces were extremely overcooked and dry. Also, portions are now tiny. Overall, I would not recommend it in its current state. This place seems to have multiple 5 star reviews from people with only 1 review (here) which I find rather odd.

Without a doubt, this is the worst Persian restaurant I’ve ever experienced. It's honestly embarrassing to see this passed off as a representation of Iranian cuisine. Please refer to the attached photo of the barg and koobideh — the koobideh was burnt, and the barg portion was shockingly small, barely even half of what you'd expect. And the container stank of leftover meal This place is wildly overpriced and a complete misrepresentation of Persian food. Avoid this trap at all costs.

The place had great decor like a modern style Persian restaurant with great Persian artwork on the walls and the food was amazing and very tasty, the koobideh was so tasty and juicy and everything else on the platter was lovely too, will definately go there again.

Outstanding restaurant! The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was serene and the service was fantastic.

We went for Iftar party. Food was decent not the best, not the worst. Service was a little slow. We had to ask for sauces a lot of time to get some sauce to help with the little dry food. Sauce was give in a such a small little thing that if you dipped your food once, it will finish. We felt embarrassed to keep asking for sauces, especially with service been so slow. Atmosphere was nice. It’s not a place we would expect to go back unfortunately

We ordered the Jujeh Karen and the Lamb Shishlik. Salad and Persian tea too. The entry portions were good. I would say two entries are enough for three people. The most important is that the chicken and lamb chops are both delicious and great. I highly recommend you to check it out. -Terry

Great service, food and ambience. Ordered the Kashk-E-Badenjan (fried aubergine). It was very flavourful with smokiness and umami flavours. The Nan was very soft. The cispy saffron rice that came with the mains were very fluffy and could be had on its own. Ordered the Koobideh and it was very tender, juice and well marinated.

The quality is not good at all when it comes to Persian food. Nowhere close to the high standards Persian Restaurants are known for. The service is mediocre at best.

The koobdeh and rice meal was tasty and wholesome. The saffron rice was fragrant with a thin slice of potato turned upside down. The meat used for the koobdeh was good quality and did not leave me bloated like many other Persian restaurants. I was dissatisfied with the homous served which was watery and tasteless. Food was served in a timely manner and the service was efficient.

I did party for my daughter 18th birthday and hire the hall for 50 people buffet the food was not enough for 50 people buffet means eat as much as you can our food finish after serving 25 people as we paid for 50 people and we ask for food they charge us extra and bread was not fresh the chicken was smell off by the way staff was good and hall was good but music was not loud enough . I hope they improve.

Service was cold and unwelcoming, genuinely laughable at how bad it was. Waitress couldn’t have been less engaged with anyone who wasn’t her family. No opportunity to give feedback on food or experience and she obviously did not care. Food was mediocre - Barg was covered in butter, koobideh had no seasoning or flavour and rice was overcooked with a poor attempt at soggy Tahdig (embarrassing for a Persian restaurant). Definitely not the ‘best Persian restaurant in London’. (For the restaurant’s reference we came for lunch on Saturday 2nd Nov)

My recent dining experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. Although the Kabab-koobide with rice was acceptable, the Ash-Reshte lacked its authentic flavor, and the Kaske-bademjan was dreadful. It seemed as though an excessive amount of salt was mistakenly added to the Doogh jug! Despite the pleasant atmosphere, the service was utterly disappointing. Despite being given a call button, the staff failed to respond even after three attempts to signal them using the button and verbally notifying the reception of our table number. Having dined at various other Persian restaurants with superior food quality, I was let down by my experience here. I hope the management considers replacing the chef and service team to improve the overall dining experience, as I would be hesitant to return in its current state.

P.S. we've ordered their teabot with the famous (Naser al-Din Shah Qajar photo) twice

Truly a wonderful restaurant with stellar authentic food. My father spent several years throughout his childhood in Iran and he was overcome with pleasant culinary memories the moment he first took a bite. It seemed almost every dish came with Tahdig which was a great thing as it is to die for. I ordered the Momtaz which came with succulent chicken and Koobideh, both of which were perfectly cooked. We also ordered Shiraz Salad and Mast-I-Khitar, both of which were delicious and cooked the mouth down excellently. If it were summertime, they would be the perfect dishes to get for lunch. One of the greatest meals I’ve had, truly.

We had a fantastic dinner at Almas with friends, both adults and kids, and it was such a great experience! Our waitress, Sara, was absolutely wonderful—super welcoming, attentive and especially brilliant with the children. She went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable and even helped us choose some amazing dishes. The food? Delicious! Everything we ordered was full of flavour, the portions were generous and the presentation was spot on. It made for such a lovely evening and we all left very happy (and very full!). If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with great food and top-notch service, I’d highly recommend Almas! We’ll definitely be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great staff and great service. But the Ghormeh Sabzi was disappointing, as the use of dry lime overpowered the dish and altered the authentic flavour of this traditional meal to be more bitter. Additionally, the amount of lamb was insufficient, which further detracted from the experience.

Excellent discovery of this PERSIAN Specialty Restaurant in London. A Family Dinner in a magnificent setting and a warm atmosphere. The welcoming and attentive service by the charming Room Manager was perfect. The setting is sumptuous and modern, a true Culinary Journey to the Land of 1001 Nights at the ALMAS Restaurant which lives up to its majestic name very well. The Chef in the Kitchen masters the Persian Culinary Art to perfection: the Dishes are generous, with very high quality ingredients: the meat skewers are tender and succulent, the chicken skewer is perfectly juicy, the Rice is truly delicious. The Lamb Mouse, Baghali Polo and Mahicheh, a real treat. The icing on the cake is the Persian Tea served in a Teapot by candlelight in magnificent glasses. Sincerely, I hope for great success at Restaurant ALMAS, which fully deserves it. Excellent value for money, much cheaper than most Iranian Restaurants in London. Some comments read here are unfortunately incorrect, because ALMAS Restaurant sincerely offers delicious dishes with a true Persian Flavor. Happy New Year 2025 to ALMAS Restaurant.

Kashk-bademjon was straight out of a jar, tasted like water. Koobideh’s meat was hard and smelt badly. A total waste of time and money. Made a mistake taking my parents. Will never go back and will tell all my friends to avoid at all costs. After paying I told the lovely waitress all the above. She was apologetic. However the restaurant owner didn’t even have the decency to face us or acknowledge their shortcomings.

The design in the restaurant is extremely nice and classy, it blends the persian and Europian art styles to perfection. For my dinner I had the Lamb Shank which was amazing, the meat was tender and came right off the bone with ease. My friends had the koobideh which was very savoury and juicy. We will definitley return.

Very beautiful persian decor! I highly recommend the Kebab Koobideh it’s so juicy and you can tell the meat used is very high quality. Best koobideh in London!! Staff are so friendly and nice. They gave us tea on the house and it was the whole pot too, not just a cup. I will always come here from now on :) I love how everything is so aesthetic!! Usually persian restaurants have nice food, but bad decor. Almas restaurant has the best food and the most luxurious persian decor.

Don't be fooled by the old reviews. The food is really bad that we chose not to finish it. They also charge you a mandatory 10% service charge even though the service is not good.

Had to ask for water multiple times but besides that they were extremely courteous. The food and atmosphere was great, for a very reasonable price! Would highly recommend checking this place out!

A very elegant and beautiful Persian restaurant. The decor is absolutely stunning! However, we were quite disappointed with the food and service; my husbands kebab was a bit off, didn't taste right. The salad portions were very little, unlikely in Persian restaurants. The service was poor too, it wasn't busy but we had to wait for a bit for the waitress to take our order and had to come to the front desk a couple of times to order more items, she wasn't really present on the floor. The runner was not really attentive either. Overall, I don't think I will be back, sorry!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Almas restaurant, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The warm ambiance and welcoming was amazing and staff were very helpful. We’ve ordered from this restaurant many times, but this was our first time dining in as a family—and it was a letdown. The starters were good, though bread arrived halfway through. We ordered lamb and chicken kebabs, and my daughter had the meal deal with bagh and chicken kebab. The lamb kebab was drenched in butter, making it so greasy that it was nearly inedible. I let the waiter know, and he agreed to take it away but informed me that it would be charged which I wasn’t happy about as I only tasted the kebab, the rest was untouched. however they had taken it away when the bill came, which I appreciated. When the bill came, we noticed we’d been charged separately for the items in the meal deal instead of as a combo, leading to an overcharge of about £19. When I called to address it, they only refunded £5. With four waiters there, only ours was attentive, while the others stayed behind the counter chatting. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially from a place we usually enjoy.

Esta fue la experiencia más horrible que tuve con la calidad de la comida aquí. Me encanta Chelo iraní - Kabab (picado de cordero a la parrilla + arroz al azafrán). Pedí 3 comidas para llevar y estaba deseando tener una gran comida con mi familia. Sin embargo, cuando llegué a casa y abrí la comida empacada, el mal olor de la carne era horrible y horrible sabor, incluso mis gatos no querían tocar el Kabab a la parrilla. Las tres porciones fueron directamente al contenedor. ¡Este fue por mucho el peor Chelo - kabab Koobide que he tenido en toda mi vida! Kabab. Cobran un 10% de servicio automáticamente y no te dan la opción de no pagar o pagar menos si el servicio es tan malo. La comida es bastante promedio y un tiempo no bueno en absoluto con los estándares persas. ¡Nada sabe como debería, y obviamente el cocinero no puede cocinar comida persa! Por ejemplo, su Ghormeh Sabzi tenía un sabor horrible y una desgracia, el desastre absoluto de Barg Kebab no sabía a nada, las porciones de kebab son porciones para niños y muy pequeñas en comparación con cualquier restaurante persa en el que haya estado. Me sentí avergonzado frente a mis amigos. Lo único bueno de este restaurante es su hermoso ambiente y decoración.
