Flat Iron in Camden

Have been to Flat Iron before but first time at this location and left disappointed with service. We were practically shoved to our table and was a quick 'specials are there' with a wave at the board. The ice cream machine wasn't working and we never received the token to redeem at another location, whilst my guest would not have been able to use it, I would have.

Fantastic steakhouse ❤️ The steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly to order—tender and full of flavour , the sides were delicious, especially the Mac and cheese truffle. Service was attentive and friendly-thank you Whitney and to the whole team ❤️ The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a special night out. A solid 5 stars—highly recommend!

A great restaurant for meat lovers, as long as you remember to make a reservation in time! The flat stake was delicious and all the side dishes were really successful (we especially liked the mashed potatoes and french fries). We were served by a lovely male waiter (whose name unfortunately I can't remember) and he did everything he could for us and a little more! We loved the popcorn appetizers and of course the free ice cream for dessert! The restaurant is decorated in a rustic style and is admittedly small, cramped and a bit noisy. All the tables are really close to each other, so there is no real privacy when eating. As a large customer, it was terrible to move anywhere, because I was afraid that I would bump into and drop things from neighboring tables... 😬 But despite all this, I would come back anytime! 😍

Our waitress, Olivia, was fantastic and very accommodating. We can’t wait to return!

As always, the best steak in town! I’ve tried the burger for the first time, it was delicious yet heavy with all cheeses, truffle macaroni was amazing.

We arrived half an hour earlier than our reservation, but luckily we were able to get seated smoothly. We really need to remember to make a reservation! Then the waiter was very kind and the steak was delicious, the most delicious steak I have ever had! The burgers are also very delicious and very satisfying! Then the free ice cream machine was not working today, so we received two small kitchen knife charms, which can be exchanged for free ice cream next time we pass by 😂 The two of us ordered a steak, a burger and a drink, which cost 35 pounds 👍

All of the food was doused in salt. Ordered the wagyu sirloin steak and you couldn't even taste the steak itself for all of the salt.

Great little steak place off of Trafalgar Square! I met my MIL and SIL here for dinner while I was in town and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the service! They make great burgers and flank steak! And the Truffle Mac and Cheese is AWESOME! Don’t forget to grab your little meat cleaver for a free dessert! Two things to remember: 1. Make a reservation! This place is awesome and fills up fast! When we went, there was quite a que. 2. It’s a small menu but don’t let that put you off. The food is AMAZING! I’ll be back next time I’m in London! A good cheap steak option, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. This particular Flat Iron is far too busy for the restaurant size, quite cramped inside and a long queue if you don’t book. The steaks were nice, however we ordered two medium rare and they were not cooked equally. Sides were decent but portions sizes were small for the price. The free ice cream for dessert is always a bonus!

Great service, great prices. Food was about a 7/10 but for £20 a meal in London you can't expect much more. Nice Atmosphere inside and all staff were very friendly. Free Ice cream on the way out was a nice touch.

Been waiting to go here for ages and absolutely well worth it. Went for lunch, seated quickly and the general design of the restaurant felt so lovely and inviting. Ordered two medium-rare steaks (and later ending up sharing a bonus one) with chips and peppercorn sauce, tasted really good and worth the hype it gets. I came here last night (again) and i had a fabulous time with my boyfriend! the food was amazing, and the service was impeccable- kate/Kat was our waiter and she was so lovely and explained the special cuts which we ended up trying. she really made our experience here so special and i’ll be coming back here everytime!

It was my first time in flat iron with my mum and she loved it our server. Jeno was a real star super friendly and knowledgeable. The ice cream was cherry on top . Grazie mille flat iron !

The service was good. The steak was tender but served in a rather small portion. There was a queue system, which meant there was no need to line up. Liked the idea of free ice cream after meal.

It’s recommended to book in advance. We went there on Thursday night without a reservation, the wait is about an hour. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the macaroni is especially recommended

The amount of food isn't that much, but it's enough for one person to eat a steak. Also, I had three side dishes: Creamed Spinach, Truffle Macaroni Cheese, and Homemade Beef Dripping Chips, and they were all delicious.

Thursday night, i wanted a solo dinner. I was told to wait 45-60 minutes because I had no reservation. TL;DR Although there were tables available the hostess didn’t want to give me one because I was alone. Anyway I pointed out the empty tables and had my dinner. Food was very good as always.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. The steak was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and tenderness. I recommend it to anyone who wants to face racism in a gentle way. We ate at 5pm on Thursday, January 16th and really enjoyed it. Two people ordered meat and 3 sides, and the spinach, mashed potatoes, and French fries were all delicious. All the staff were friendly too. Except for one male employee. He came to me while I was still eating and asked if I had finished eating. He kept pacing around and seemed to want me to leave quickly. It could be because there were a lot of people waiting, but I don't understand why it was only for our table. (The comparison was made even more so with the other white table, who responded kindly and asked how the food was delicious.) And the white man who had finished eating next to us was informed that he could exchange his ax for ice cream, so we just gave him a bill, paid for it, and it was over... .There is no explanation... To be honest, all I thought was gentle racism. I'm leaving a review because it's so unpleasant.

We arrived without a reservation and they gave us super fast table. As an appetizer they give you some popcorn and the meat we ordered is delicious, on the way out they give you an ice cream😀 And the waiter was super friendly, he gave us 10 service.

An incredible place with an incredible atmosphere. I really appreciate the sincere relationships between waiters and guests. This establishment is the best I've come across in my travel history. The food is excellent, there is a small selection but it did not allow us to enjoy the meat and appetizers.

Been in Flat iron many times and always appreciated the quality of the meat and the taste. Today I visited the branch at Tottenham and unfortunately it didn’t meet the expectations as the other ones. The meat (ordered Medium) came absolutely raw and the entire dish was cold.

Both ordered medium, mine came to the table rare, so we swapped because the other person didn't mind. Both steaks were not even warm, just cold. Servers were quite nice though.

Visited at lunchtime after making a reservation for a family meal. Ordered 5 steaks, bone marrow, french fries, and salad as sides. I don't think I would have visited if it weren't for the fact that I could eat steak at this price. The dining space was narrow, making it difficult for the waiter to move around. We asked to take a family photo, but were refused.

Wow, what a fantastic dining experience! From the moment you walk in the door the incredible food doesn't stop. Popcorn, incredible steak, the most incredible truffle mac n cheese, bone marrow garlic mash, the complimentary ice cream on the way out the door! The staff are all friendly, helpful, and attentive without smothering you. The atmosphere was cosy and romantic, and the food was some of the best I think I've ever eaten. I could not recommend this place highly enough!

It's really delicious!!! If you come to the UK, this is a place that will definitely be delicious. I liked the garlic mash better than the spinach. But spinach is also essential!! The doneness is perfect and everything is good 👍 We went in without reservation.

Spectacular burger, amazing personnel and drinks

The meat is very delicious. Maybe it is not a cheap place, as of today (6/01/25) the steak plate costs 14 pounds and comes without accompaniment or anything, but the truth is that the meat was very good and the attention of the waiters is exceptional

By far, the most affordable steak place in London! It might not be that big, but it was perfectly made and very tasty. Besides that, popcorn and ice cream are complementary. The latter can be redeemed another time, too, with a small knife token they give you with the bill. This Flat Iron location is smaller and less crowded than some other locations, so it's easy to get a table without a reservation

No messing, turned up without a reservation on New Year’s Eve, small queue outside but waited less than 5 minutes to be allocated a table. Restaurant itself quite small and no frills yet the simple menu, service and food really good. Nice little touches included popcorn on seating, steak served on a chopping board with mini meat cleaver, and tiny meat cleaver ‘charm’ which can be redeemed on the way out for a free ice cream cone ! Highly recommended. Great value for money too, defo go back soon.

The tenderness and juiciness of the meat passed. The ice cream for dessert is also very delicious. The staff may not be able to see you because they are too busy, but if you just look at them, they will come in their order. If you order one steak, one side + a drink, it's perfect.

Overall great value for food but because of smaller restaurant format it made it a bit more annoying to move around when trying to get to the toilets or get seated when the other tables were full Generally a good place to go to because of the nice atmosphere, lighting, and consistent food quality compared to other branches but I prefer the Covent Garden branch over this one

I made a reservation a month ago on a Sunday at 19:15 and went there, and it was packed with people. I overheard that the waiting time for people who didn't make a reservation was 45-60 minutes. I went with my dad and ordered two steaks, mashed potatoes, and a glass of wine for him to drink. I cooked it medium rare, but I think it would have been fine even if it had been cooked to medium. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly. The ice cream served at the end was also very delicious. I recommend it as a cost-effective restaurant~~~ Is it worth waiting in line to eat... ? I would like to ^.^

A long wait but we didn't reserve so that's to be expected. Food however was fast and so so tasty! The mushroom sauce is amazing, mac and cheese and the mash was yummy too! Perfect portion and melt in the mouth steak. Service was great even though they were crazy busy.

Wow what a place. Have been twice now and will definitely be back. The steak is to die for and the sides on offer are amazing in their own right. Quite a small restaurant so would definitely recommend booking, there was an hour wait for people who hadn’t booked. Free popcorn and ice cream really tops off the experience.

We thought the greeter/doorman/host did a great job organizing and coordinating reservations with walk in customers like us. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here from being seated with free popcorn to munch on, to our wait service, to our meal, finishing with free servings of ice cream!

Visited this brach of Flat Iron yesterday. The food, especially the triple truffle burger was outstanding however, the staff made the visit feel quite rushed and we were asked to move table whilst we finished our wine which was a shame. Definitely need to book in advance!

Excellent place. The food was fantastic and well cooked, and the service was also wonderful. The steak itself is rather small and I had to order two to settle my hunger. They also give you free popcorn and ice cream which was a nice touch.

We went without a reservation and there was no problem. They offered us a high table to share with another group. Before taking your order, when you sit down, they give you complimentary popcorn. The staff was always very friendly. For dinner we ordered the flat iron stake (£14) and it was very delicious. Perhaps I would highlight that the meat tasted somewhat like butter (I guess they fry it with it), it's a shame that good meat is cooked with butter instead of oil (but I guess that depends on taste). The side we liked the most was the truffle mac and cheese. At the end of the meal they give you some tokens that, when you leave the restaurant, you can exchange for an ice cream. Be careful when paying, they offer on the ticket itself a total to which 12% had been added, so if you want to tip less or differently than that you must notify them in advance!

Booked Christmas lunch with work and it was outstanding. Food was amazing, it was our first time visiting and our server Lorenzo was outstanding, explaining different options and even going the extra mile by allowing us to taste a number of different wines to complement our order. Will definitely visit again.

Came here with my boyfriend yesterday and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were amazing and so helpful! The prices are also quite good and gave a good portion of steak, so perfectly cooked. The addition of free popcorn and ice cream at the end really made the whole meal, such a thoughtful touch. Definitely will come again cannot recommend enough !

If you can't book the Covent Garden branch, I suggest you book this one instead. The quality of the steak is not bad, but not amazing. It is about between the level of Taobanwu and Wangpin. The other side dishes are normal, but the waiter is friendly and provides free popcorn and water at the beginning. There is free ice cream, and overall the price is a good deal in London.

I forgot to write this since Wednesday, but Lorenzo was great, and I really enjoyed the experience.
