We went without a reservation and there was no problem. They offered us a high table to share with another group. Before taking your order, when you sit down, they give you complimentary popcorn. The staff was always very friendly. For dinner we ordered the flat iron stake (£14) and it was very delicious. Perhaps I would highlight that the meat tasted somewhat like butter (I guess they fry it with it), it's a shame that good meat is cooked with butter instead of oil (but I guess that depends on taste). The side we liked the most was the truffle mac and cheese. At the end of the meal they give you some tokens that, when you leave the restaurant, you can exchange for an ice cream. Be careful when paying, they offer on the ticket itself a total to which 12% had been added, so if you want to tip less or differently than that you must notify them in advance!

Came here with my boyfriend yesterday and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were amazing and so helpful! The prices are also quite good and gave a good portion of steak, so perfectly cooked. The addition of free popcorn and ice cream at the end really made the whole meal, such a thoughtful touch. Definitely will come again cannot recommend enough !

I forgot to write this since Wednesday, but Lorenzo was great, and I really enjoyed the experience.

If you can't book the branch in Covent Garden, I suggest you book this one instead. The quality of the steak is not bad, but not amazing. It is about between the level of Taobanwu and Wangpin. The other side dishes are normal, but the waiter is friendly and provides free popcorn and water at the beginning. There is free ice cream, and overall the price is a good deal in London.

We visited on a Saturday evening, the food and service were faultless! Well cooked steak, fabulous accompaniments all served with a nice big smile! Although the seating area is small and quite tight there is a good vibe and comfortable feeling.

The food was decent, the service was good but the only think that made me feel dissapointed was that you had to pay an “ optional “ tip for everything … Also the service charge is also «optional» and it’s like 12.5% of the total bill…. I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. I work nearby and occasionally treat myself to a Flat Iron for lunch. The quality of steak and sides is outstanding, especially for the price. The restaurant staff and manager are so friendly, they always take the time to have a chat and a joke. They're incredibly attentive and make each visit worthwhile. It's a real treat coming here and I'm always made to feel so welcome. I've got nothing but good things to say, and recommend this branch to anyone who'll listen!

Flat Iron Steak is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we walked in, everything was beyond perfect. The experience started with free popcorn, served hot and fresh, and water infused with lemon, which was incredibly refreshing. The menu is focused, offering a few types of steaks, a burger, and some delicious sides. My father ordered the Wagyu steak with mashed potatoes, and I went for the truffle burger with a side of fries. My dad also tried their pink lemonade, which was absolutely amazing! The Wagyu steak was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The truffle burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It featured three types of cheese in just the right quantity, paired with pickles, onions, and served on soft brioche buns. The aroma of truffle was incredible and added a luxurious touch. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite! The atmosphere was unique and inviting, and the service exceeded all expectations. A fun highlight was the little cleaver they give you when paying the bill, which you exchange for soft-serve ice cream on your way out, topped with crushed chocolate—such a thoughtful and delightful touch. We went without a reservation and they were very kind in booking us a table within half an hour, complete with a What'sapp message to let us know when it would be free. Comfortable environment although perhaps a little cramped. Excellent food (the meat was tasty and very soft) and the staff were really kind and nice. While waiting for your reservation, they offer freshly made popcorn and an ice cream cone on the way out. Recommended 👍

This restaurant is great! The steak (wagyu) was delicious, tender and well cooked. My relative and I split 5 sides (mac and cheese, creamed spinach, aubergine and tomato, mashed potatoes and kale salad), all were excellent and well prepared with tons of flavor. You are not overly full and the food seems like it is prepared with dedication to their craft, which is becoming increasingly rare. The servers are pleasant, funny and welcoming. I would recommend coming early or reservations (we waited an hour, which was fine and well worth it. They know this :). Would absolutely come to this place again. Thank you all at Flat Iron for such a dope experience. P.S. They give you lil tokens shaped like cleavers which will give you a free ice cream after your meal.

Always a lovely steak, sides are perfect each time. You just can't go wrong. Waiter team seems to know their wines too as the red they chose complimented the wagyu cut of the day perfectly.

Average Dinner experience…. The stake was good (Small) so I give it 6/10 The service was average…. 5/10 The ambience wasn’t great at all (This branch was extremely small), we were seated on a shared table with other customers. If you are welling to wait 45min to find a table then good luck and try it.

I've wanted to eat at this place for a long time and I finally did it! Intimate but friendly environment, excellent food, perfectly cooked meat, attentive and trained staff, the service was special and for this I want to thank Savio in particular who made this experience unique. Very good, inexpensive steaks. The fries were very good. We get a free ice cream on the way out which is very nice! But the sauces leave something to be desired.

We had a lovely time at Flat Iron Steak House in Tottenham Court. The burger was delicious, perfectly cooked with crispy fries, and the sauces we ordered paired wonderfully. We also tried the Wagyu steak — it was tasty, but it would be helpful if they specified that it's not the Japanese Wagyu. While it didn’t have the WOW factor we were expecting, it was still enjoyable. The real highlight of the evening, however, was the complimentary soft serve as we exited. Honestly, it's the best soft serve I’ve had in the UK. A small note: the seating arrangement can feel a bit cramped, especially for couples as the seating for two is really small. The corners feel a bit stuffy and could be a little more comfortable. Nonetheless, it was a good experience overall!

The meat quality is good, authentic, the portion is not big, and the price is not expensive. The free popcorn is a bit salty, has a bland taste, and is no longer crispy. You can exchange it for a delicious ice cream after paying. Worth recommending.

Their burger is actually mindblowing! Hibiscus Margaritas were interesting but not close to Margaritas. Good value for money as always.

We came across the restaurant by chance while strolling through town. Looking at the plates on the tables, we decided to eat here. It was really a highlight! We had the steak with crispy bone marrow mash. The meat was fried to perfection, super tender and had a great taste. We would go there any time. The staff was very friendly and quick.

Super delicious food and service. Right at the beginning you get a jug of water and a cup of popcorn and as you leave you get a delicious vanilla soft ice cream. It is advisable to make a reservation in any case, otherwise it will be difficult to get a place.

I had a great experience at the 9 Denmark street location. A few hiccups with our meal (very busy Saturday night) but the care, concern , rectification of our issue and more given by the manager Ivan went above and beyond. So grateful. I felt heard and understood - Ivan was a star. The products are tasty, the service swift and if you have any issue it is dealt with immediately. Go get some yummy steak and chips, with great sides while in London. You won’t regret it. Thanks Ivan and staff 🥰🥩✌️

Service was 10/10 all the servers were smiling and very kind, our server David was very helpful and made sure we was well taken care of. The area in which we were sat was cold, the aircon made our food cold straight away which was the only bad thing i could take away. Steak was amazing for the price defiantly a steal. Heard a lot about Flat Iron restaurants but never had the pleasure of visiting one, so decided to give it a go today. The whole experience was brilliant. Steak and sides were cooked to perfection, service was amazing and little cup of popcorn on arrival and ice cream on the way out was a great touch. Loved it and will definitely be back. It’s simple but executed really well!

I was looking for a place where I could eat good grilled meat and at the same time be gluten-free and here I found everything I was looking for! very good meat, attentive staff in telling me what dishes I could eat and which second courses were suitable for me! If I had to eat at a restaurant for the rest of my life this would be it. The service is irreproachable, the atmosphere is cozy and the steak…gosh the steak. It was so good, I had to order one more after I was done

**UPDATED** Enjoyed some great food with great friends, the whole meal was lovely. However; where it fell flat was towards the end of our meal; we were asked if we wanted anything else to drink, 2 in our party ordered a bottle of wine; which came; we paid the bill; and with over half a bottle of wine remaining; they told us we needed to leave as they needed the table back. A point to the restaurant - if you needed the table back then 1. Why ask if we want anything else to drink?? and when a bottle of wine was ordered tell us that you needed the table back and then we wouldn't of ordered it 2. Offer us a refund on that bottle of wine; that we were in fact in the end essentially kicked out with the remaining wine put in paper cups.... After spending close to £200 on a meal; £20 of it being service charge the way the meal ended really tarnished the whole evening. Service and Atmosphere marked down because of this. Won't hurry back to this Flat Iron; and will take my money to another establishment in the SERVICE industry that appreciates our custom. ****UPDATE**** To respond to Flat Iron's reply of ''Sometimes the restaurant can get very busy and we are unable to prolong our guests visit past the 90 mins mark (120 mins for parties of 5+) '' My original point still stands, we weren't aware of this table policy, and even so if we were approaching that time limit then why serve us a bottle of wine?!?!?!!?!??!?

Had the most fabulous post-matinee meal with the lovely team at Flat Iron on Denmark Street. We popped in before our show to reserve a table for later that afternoon—a wise move, as walk-ins were facing a one-hour wait when we returned at 4.15pm. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Our waitress gave us a thorough rundown of the menu, sharing the heritage of the meat, describing each cut, and advising on how it’s best served. The Wagyu special—a skirt cut, served pink (or well done if you prefer)—was, quite literally, sublime. We also tried the bavette, which was equally sensational, alongside peppercorn sauce (tip: one is enough for two to share); truffled macaroni cheese (unctuous and delicious); crispy bone marrow garlic mash (melt-in-the-mouth perfection); a green salad (fresh and crisp, though somewhat beaten into submission by the dressing); and tantalisingly crisp homemade beef dripping chips. The Freedom lager arrived in a refrigerated glass (bonus points for that!), and I can heartily recommend the Passion Fruit Collins as a refreshing loosener. We were a group of three, and our bill, including the optional service charge, came to £125 and was worth every penny. A genuine five star recommendation!

It’s a very cosy little restaurant only a short walk away from a busy shopping street, so a great place to eat after a shopping day. The food was great - not a huge menu, but still quite hard to choose from as everything sounded really tasty. Greta was really helpful though. Seemed like she tried every single meal on the menu and was able to advise based on our food preferences. We ordered a few things and all were very tasty. All members of staff were really helpful and very friendly, which is really refreshing for London. We felt very welcome from the very moment we walked in. Ivan was super friendly and sat us down immediately, and Greta was very helpful and incredibly fast even though the restaurant was very busy. most importantly the service didn’t feel rushed at all. It was our first time in Flat Iron but definitely not the last! You may want to book a table though as it was quite busy when we went. And keep some space in your tummy for a complimentary cone of ice cream - it’s delicious!

I usually LOVE flat iron but had a terrible experience here this week. As our food was about to arrive a mouse traversed the walk behind our table and then went behind the specials board. We tried to enjoy our food but I was so scared that the mouse was going to come back out. Unfortunately the mouse did come back out and ran along the floor between several tables. We all ended up having to stand up and move out the way, several diners stood in their chairs and there was lots of screaming. We had to leave our food for several minutes whilst everyone checked that the mouse wasn’t in their coat /bags. Sadly this has ruined this flat iron for me and I will never return to Tottenham Court Road. I will still return to another flat iron as the food is very good!

The steakhouse was really busy - no surprise if it's good! After a short wait we were given a charming prediction of a 45 minute wait, but hey, no problem! We were notified via text message as soon as our table was ready. Almost like a VIP service! When we finally sat down, we were treated very nicely and – watch out, here it comes – there was popcorn as an aperitif! Popcorn! You immediately feel like you're in the best cinema in the city. The only downside: In terms of space, it was a bit like being in close contact. As a group of four, we were allowed to share the table with two other people. Sure, the decoration tried to separate us a bit, but honestly, I prefer to sit at my own table and chat in peace. The food itself? Really good! I had the Wagyu steak and it was really okay for the price. Sure, I've had better Wagyu before, but for the money you really can't complain. There were top rails as a side dish, which were surprisingly tasty - I was happy to grab them. I had wine to drink, and this is where things got a little weird: the wine came in a water glass! Guys, the wine would definitely have appreciated a real wine glass. Give the fine wine the respect it deserves! And then the best thing for last: everyone was given an ice cream on the way out - for free! The popcorn and ice cream were included in the price, and the steak was really okay for the price. So overall a really fair price-performance ratio. Conclusion: Popcorn, steak, ice cream – what more could you want? Great food, fair prices, and you go home with a smile (and ice cream)!

If you are Spanish and want to eat well, go to this place because everything is delicious. The truffled Mac and cheese is incredible and the meat is very good.

My daughters Sky, Chelsea and I went there today for my birthday and we highly recommended going there. Everyone from front of the house to the back was so welcoming with a smile and attentive. Service was spot on, thank you Jano and food was yummy. We'll definitely be returning again.

Grilling Steak - Medium Well Done Side - Crispy Bone Merrow Garlic Potato Source - Wild Mushroom Beverage - Coke I ate like this and I was so full! Free popcorn and ice cream were also good. It was a nice place where eating alone was not a problem.

First time in a flat iron, but I’ve heard great things. On arrival the place is buzzing outside as people queue to get a table, incredibly they look happy to do so! The service was up there with the best I’ve had, and what I mean by that it’s service that will be remain ‘touch-stone’ of good service in the future. We will never forget it. The food was brilliant and at a price point which is unbelievable in the west end. Up there with hawksmoor, which praise indeed. I can see by stripping away the faff other restaurants traditionally work within it makes it a new and pleasurable experience, but at the same time it has not cheapens the experience (Nando’s!) No idea how they did this I can see the passion that goes into every aspect of the finally tuned operation Flat iron I salute you!
