Me and a mate went here on a afternoon after work it was £10 for a burger & beer deal , so we ordered it burger was nice very tasty as I was enjoying my meal the waitress came up to me and said if you want chips we can do it for £2 I said no thank you I'm fine as if I wanted chips I would of ordered them in the first place and you already asked us when we ordered. Finished the meal and decided to order 2 more beers for the road as I was ordering the barman tried to up sell me and asked if we wanted more burgers again if I wanted another burger I would of asked for it! , look it's a nice place I would possibly go there again just do not like being up sold it really gets on my nerves!

Tried a selection of sliders and tacos. Everything pretty much tasted the same, no distinct flavours between what are described as very different styles and the 'corn' tortillas were actually wheat if not a heavy wheat/corn mix.Staff, service and beer were great though.

Went here for breakfast with my mother and brother for a breakfast and the food was OK. However upon leaving my mother asked the guy at the bar where the toilets were to which he sharply replied that they were for customers only (like you don't belong here). He then challenged her where she was sitting - just to be 100 percent sure that she was actually a customer. Didn't apologise about the misunderstanding either.Won't be back if you have that attitude towards your customers.

We ordered yesterday evening two burgers with fries. I have to say that meat is not bad, which is good. But the burgers were frozen, fries as well and all attached like glue. Also fries looked not great I have to say. Overall it was a very poor dinner. Maybe the fault has to be shared with Deliveroo, but I was checking and the travel was super fast. Also, first time I get something like this from Deliveroo.

I went here for my daughters 14th birthday, we were a party of 13 (mixed adults and children). Booking was straightforward, they require a deposit for large groups. Food was really good, I was so hungry that I didn't take any photos which I am truly regretting. Max and Adam are really nice people and if you need anything they will help. Reasonably priced. First of all the decor is so warm and inviting. All the low incandescent lighting gives that perfect glow against the oak and red brick. But the real business! Great prices for happy hour and a generous bracket for that to happen. On top of this, all the live music acts are free! The only problem being that (as with all London bars) the general prices could do with dialling down a bit

And it's walking distance The cocktails are a little different but are expertly made and taste amazing, if you're unsure of what you would like the staff are happy to help you decide based on your usual tastes. So glad my friend picked his place for their birthday! It's got the perfect balance between chill and class. The style of the bar is great to look at, all the copper finishes are gorgeous. The boys behind the bar are a lot of fun and know what they are doing. (As I work in hospo, I find this hard to come by, I can be over judgy) There is no crazy whacky cocktails and the menu isn't extensive but this does not matter, because they have got every one bang on and made well. Sloe gin Negroni to die for. The burger sliders are awesome! Especially the Korean style one. You get 3 sliders for £12 ish quid. And they were soooo juicy and flavourful. Can't wait to go back. Oh and nice toilets. Always gets brownie pints.

We have lived in Kilburn for little over 6 months, we thought it was about time we visited the Ironworks - we are very glad we did. The service was excellent, we were always looked after very well and always served very quickly at the bar. The menu is extensive and offers a wide selection of drinks except only one cider - as a big cider drinker a couple more options would have been nice. We ordered some food which again was lovely, served hot and with a friendly smile. My only niggle was that we sat near the kitchen and staff, when they were not serving were standing around talking loudly, playing jokes on each other and just standing around - I'm always sure there is something to do. Overall an enjoyable visit and we will visit again.

The food was good, however part of our order had run out, these things happen, not normally a major issue, but it took over 1/2 hour to establish it had run out & we spent most of our meal trying to find out what the was going on with it. The cocktails were good as well, but they charge the same price for non alcoholic cocktails as the ones with alcohol in them, bit cheeky but I'll wear it, they were nice. As I was driving, & had my fill of non alcoholic cocktails, I moved on to soft drinks. £2.50 is about what I would expect in a public house for a pint of soft... but you don't even get half a pint, you get about 1/4 of a can of coke in a small glass filled to the brim with ice. Then the next person comes along & orders a coke & yet £2.50 again for about another 1/4 of a can. So a 50p can earns aprox £10... that is a complete rip off!

The Ironworks is a welcome addition to the local area providing a genuine alternative to other pubs and bars around. Great drinks selection with staff who genuinely care about what it is they are serving. A comprehensive beer selection and an equally extensive cocktail menu means you really can't go wrong. We've been for brunch on a weekend a few times now and whilst the service is still finding its feet and may not be as quick as some are used to (sign of an independent and local place which adds to its charm in my opinion), the quality of the food is really great and makes it worth the wait. I've watched this place get steadily busier and busier over the past 12 months and hope it continues to do so. Great addition to Kilburn.

I have been coming since Kilburn Ironworks opened over a year ago and I have to say it is my favourite hangout in Kilburn. It's super cool, got a fabulous interior and serves excellent food and cocktails. If I told you I go in around four times a week (depends how the week is going!), you can guess it is a pretty awesome place. The food is always delicious - we go in for a burger and beer for £10 on a Wednesday far too often! I go in for brunch most weekends too - relaxed atmosphere and really good eggs benedict (good coffee too). Oh, and they do bottomless prosecco for £15 extra when you buy brunch - pretty cool. As for the drinks - a variety of great cocktails and the staff are fab at making something off the menu if you tell them what you like. I personally love the Nuclear Daiquiri and the Kilburn Crude and I recommend that you try them at least once. The bartenders are happy to educate you on spirits and cocktails and they are incredibly passionate about what they do. Love going in at the weekends (Thursdays are always good too) - the atmosphere is wonderful (they have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays) and it is obvious that the staff enjoy their work too. Adam and Max are crucial to this place and make it what it is in my opinion. They are always happy and provide amazing customer service. 100% worth a visit - if you are anything like me, you will fall in love with the place - the drinks, the burgers, and definitely the people. P.S. They have live music on Thursdays and Sundays and it is always AWESOME - if you want to eat, it is a good idea to book - always gets very busy.

Met up with a few of the locals to enjoy some signature cocktails by a very knowledgable mixologist. I loved the decor and on this evening, we had a live band playing classic rock hits, which I am told is fairly rare in London. You could tell by the smile on the singer's face that he was in his element, playing to the patrons, including an eye patch wearing artist frantically drawing while the band played. There is a menu for snacks, but we stuck to the beverages, including some cocktails and local ales. It was a great night, and a great venue to simply hang out with friends with live music that wasn't played too loud, so conversations flowed easily with a little raised voice.

I went to the Kilburn Ironworks with some friends to take part in the Cocktail Masterclass. First we relaxed with a cocktail, and took in the surroundings, all metal, rough wood and funky industrial furnishings. Then we took our places at the bar and started the class. Adam (the General Manager) was teaching us a lot of really interesting history, provenance and facts about each cocktail that he showed us. I thought it was going to be a lot of shaker throwing and banter and not much substance, but this was the real deal. I learnt a lot from the class, not all of which I can remember as the cocktails are not for the faint hearted, but everything had a relevance. We weren't just stuck with 'stir this' and 'watch this', it was very hands on, and we really did make the whole cocktail. Adam was really funny and personable and made the whole evening an AMAZING experience. I would highly recommend the Cocktail Masterclass, but also the venue for a great night out. Their cocktails are proper old school with a touch of 'K.I' flare added, and coupled with the friendly staff, delicious food (I had an incredible steak with fries and salad) and great Juke Box tunes, a Fantastic night is guaranteed. I am just working out when to go back. Perhaps righty now!!

As dusk fades to night, an impromptu drink leads us to Kilburn High Road’s newest pub, Ironworks. This new pub is on the hallowed ground of Power’s Bar, formerly an age-old Irish haunt much-loved for its cosily decadent atmosphere.Ironworks has kept the nostalgically familiar facade of the space, ornate window frames typical to pubs of a now near bygone era, but little else, the interior gutted and entirely redesigned to give the impression of a converted old industrial space.Exposed iron girders crown the bar and frame the ceiling. A functioning Meantime micro-brewery beer distiller set up to one side. Metal plates frame the kitchen. Padded leather benches of varying height hug half the walls facing thick mock workbench wooden tables and chairs, uncomfortably small yet tall stools perch around high tables splayed out from the entrance. We go in with weary eyes and open minds to inspect the change, the familiar sounds of this bustling neighbourhood shrouding the newly constructed front area, fenced in by a thick rough cut wooden frame with a simple bench running its length, too thin for the average guy to sit comfortably on. We enjoy our first brew out front anyway, a Meantime London Pale Ale served in glass goblets, sharing the space with a few groups of typical middle-class Londoners and enjoying the ever-amusing randominity of people-watching in this area of town.Opposite Brondesbury overground station and next to the Brondes Age with a local barber shop wedged in between, the ever-present temptation of the kebab and chicken joints mark a contrast to the stream-lined gourmet menu on offer here. This was a post-dinner drink, but courgette fritters and an inexplicably simple selection besides just didn’t measure up all the same. Where were the sweet potato fries?Well, as the friendly bar manager said, they’re aiming for a simple yet effective menu with more of a focus on the quality of the booze, prohibition era cocktails and a feel to boot. Their whiskey selection was impressive, and though we stuck to the ales the array of craft beer cocktails on offer is a surefire reason to return. As the evening rolled on we threw the dice on the Undercurrent oatmeal ale that turned out a treat, mild yet tasty with a good consistency, before moving on to Einstock Icelandic Pale Ale, refreshing and deceptively light. It was relatively empty for a Thursday night, compared to their main competition, the Brondes Age and North London Tavern, which is possibly why the owners of Powers’ Bar sold up.. changing times. Nonetheless we amused ourselves conjuring impressions of the island-ed clientele inside over the course of the night – a single girl leaving in a rush without her sunglasses and the kindness and honesty of the waitress rushing out with them to find her; three dates, one clearly a very awkward tinder or the like, one an enthralled heart to heart and one to my two o’clock that proved an increasing distraction as the pair enthralled themselves in their mutually held lonely desperation, friskily; a large table of guys in for a round but vocal about the closed kitchen; and a number of other haphazard two guy catch ups.Distractions aside our conversation flowed with the ale. Before we knew it, it was well gone midnight and though we had to dash for the last trains at Kilbrun tube, weekday openings until at least 1am are always a plus. However, the lack of music (live nights or otherwise) or other activities are a possible minus in my book, though admittedly the space is no longer appropriate for such, and keeping it quiet may well have been intention on their part. Even so, the atmosphere was strangely more stifling than Powers’ had been, despite a clear decluttering and more minimal approach. Perhaps it was the not-well-thought-through furniture design, but the relative lack of character led to a feeling of barrenness that couldn’t really be shaken, except of course by the palace of a bar.Ghosts of countless Irish jigs may well be screaming silence from the walls, but alas it’s out with the old, in with the new. It’s clear that Kilburn Ironworks has some way to go to establish a regular crowd and activity base. Yet to find its feet and really define its character, which, on the surface, is simply a copied trendy theme from other parts of town at the moment, Kilburn Ironworks is not unique, but it is definitely on the zeitgeist pulse and will succeed if smoothly run, provided they distill their culinary offering and replace their spindle-like stools.Ironworks has kept the nostalgically familiar facade of the space, ornate window frames typical to pubs of a now near bygone era, but little else, the interior gutted and entirely redesigned to give the impression of a converted old industrial space.

I really like the idea of the ironworks and I was pretty excited when it opened. They have a great selection of beers and amazing cocktails. They sometimes try to push table service instead of letting you order yourself, though the bar doesn't really suit it and you end up waiting for ages for the waiter to come back, or they pester you far too much. It would be much better if they just let you go to the bar yourself. Otherwise, they need to improve the table service. The staff are all nice and friendly, just not all singing from the same sheet. They have super skilled cocktail makers.

I went here for dinner with friends to celebrate my birthday and was very disappointed. The concept just doesn't fit..all food brought out when it is ready regardless if you want them as a starter, having to open a tab - what happened to just receiving your bill at the end of the meal. I spent more time standing at the bar than sitting enjoying my evening. You have to order your food (that's fine) but then had to get my own water, had to go to the bar to ask for the bill and still had go back up to pay it to retrieve the card that they insisted I leave behind the bar.The food was ok - nothing special for the price we paid and the house wine was awful and definitely not worth £17. I think the place needs to rethink its concept - if they are not a restaurant then don't charge restaurant prices. For those prices I would expect to be served at the table and not treated with suspicion that I need to leave a card behind the bar!Great décor, friendly staff and nice atmosphere - it could be something great bit overpriced for the concept.

The food is really good, and very generous helpings. The free jukebox is addictive... Above all, the atmosphere is very relaxed. Don't believe what others write about it being pricey - for a cocktail bar with food, it's really reasonable and no more than you should expect

Very happy to have such a good place in Kilburn. The drinks are amazing and you can get 2 cocktails for only £10 from Monday to Friday (5pm-8pm)! Apart from the great range of alcohol they also have good food! We had tried chuck beef & marrow burger and Welsh Wagyu burger, they were both delicious and nicely served. The atmosphere and music is great, very refreshing in comparison to any places in Kilburn. The staff was helpful and attentive.

Trying too hard and not succeeding. Quite pricey for the area and the staff have a tendency to add to your conversation..

It tries to portray itself as a city bar. Very pretentious! Went for friends bday. Food came out at random times. Sharing platters were good, apart from squid, which was bland. Pulled pork had a bone in it. Steak was over seasoned and seemed like it was defrosted. Never again!

Nice and clean. Been a few times. Food can be a bit of a lottery but usually good enough with fresh ingredients.Mixed crowd. Probably needs to sort out its target market as it is appears more often empty than over flowing with customers.Shame as it could be so good.

Loved the decor, food was delicious. A lot of thought has clearly gone into the fabulous cocktail menu - only problem was choosing which one to have. We'll be back.

Came in on today on a glorious Sunday afternoon. The pub over the road is packed, and I wondered why this place, with it's outdoor area directly in the sun, was completely empty. Then I ordered drinks. Even in London, a 330ml bottle of cider and a pint for £10!? No wonder there was one person in here. Nice place, but doesn't know its market, and will be gone very soon with those prices.

We live here and we're excited for it to open, however we couldn't be more disappointed. The manager has clearly not done his research of the area as it the most overpriced bar in north west London. Huge prices and always empty. The atmosphere is uncomfortable and the place is a ghost town. I give this place a year, at most, before it shuts down.

The manager name of Alex told me an a friend we was underdressed for the venue,an he was clear about this at first I thought it might be the case however to my surprise as I walked out I noticed another customer was no differently dressed then myslef or my friend I was dining with this evening.i brought this to his attention an his reason was he never served that customer in my opinion this I discrimination in alaspect I will make sure all my friends an family are aware off this establishment.

I've been here a lot since it opened in January 2015 and although the venue is cool and the music and drink selection is great, it's badly let down by the manager. He's never been particularly friendly and last night was downright rude. What a shame because the place could be really special given the right attention and the barman and door staff are always so friendly. While this guy is in charge I won't be coming back anytime soon.

So I have lived in north London for a while and I am used to whats about, last weekend to avoid the Football cup crowd I tried this place as a friend had said they have a great happy hour ( which I missed). It was Sandwiched between a low key cafe/bar and a rough and ready nightclub/bar. From the outside at night it was hard to tell it was open as there were no lights but some great music coming from inside. As I walked in I was greeted by a very formal doorman who addressed me with a "good evening sir" and inquired if I had had a pleasant evening so far. Anyone from Kilburn will know this is a unexpected but nice start. Walking into the bar its long with lots of seats ( newly put in the barman tells me) with more comfy seating towards the rear ( which is were I head). I order a burger at the bar and a beer out of the amazing copper casks at the end of the bar. The bar staff were friendly and happy to chat about the bar and its history and where its going etc... after my copper cask beer they started making me some proper tasty cocktails ( thank god I had the next day off ! ) Long story short, the place felt really safe and friendly. The food took a little while to arrive but was worth the wait and the cocktail menu was and is something I will be working through now I have found this hidden gem.

It was our second time on Sunday evening and we have been delighted both times. So unusual to find somewhere to have a lovely drink (and what a selection!) in Kilburn where the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We will be regulars!

I came in with my friend as I had heard the new cocktail menu gave a large choice- I ordered the Bathtub gin cocktail- which actually came in a miniature bathtub with a little squeaky rubber duck! Such attention to detail was paid to the cocktail, and the bar tender talked to us about the background of the cocktail which was an added bonus. The service was quick considering it was fairly busy, and the atmosphere was fab. I would certainly recommend this bar as there is so much to sample on one menu. I think this will become my go-to place in future for my cocktail fix. Not sure why the other reviewers have been so harsh about this place- it's clearly a cocktail bar that so happens to serve food!

It doesn't know what it is. Is it a bar, a gastropub or a restaurant? It's just round the corner from where I live and I went there last night. It's nicely kitted out, and there are a few waiters moving about. You have to order your drinks at the bar, and to open a tab you need to leave a credit card, which isn't in this day and age secure really. You then ask one of the wondering waiters to order food, and you're told "You can't order with me. I'll bring your food but you have to order at the bar". The bar is then rammed with people trying to buy drinks, and you get lost in the rush. So you don't end up ordering any food and you leave.A lot of money has been invested in this place, but until they work out what they want to be, they won't make a success of it. I didn't order food. I just left.

i came here for drinks Friday with my husband as recommended by a friend. Not knowing what to expect i was pleasantly surpised! A real cool hipster-ish cocktail bar with a cool open kitchen. Ihad the Gin-Tot Cocktail which looked and tasted amazing and he several of their craft beers. Their beer taps were old American fire extinguishers! the staff looked the part too, tash's, beards and tattoos but with a real touch of class in customer service and knowledge of what the where offering. We had to leave after a couple of hours but this is a place that i will and have recommended to friends. sadly we had eaten in the Istanbul Mangal before going here ( 5* btw) so can not comment on the food. However, the beer was a delight. I am a bit of a beer snob. Hate euro fizzy lager and enjoy a Sam Smiths pub. The Oatmeal Stout was the best stout/porter type beer I have had for a very long time. Staff were friendly and very informative.Kilburn was a real eye opener for us. See you all again soon.

I've visited here maybe 10 times since it opened in January. As for the bar, it serves great cocktails and has a good range of beers which are served by friendly bar men.Unfortunately, the restaurant needs some attention from the management. The waitresses are really not up to the job, with one in particular having a poor command of English which caused us problems getting a simple burger order right. When our food arrived it was just 2 burgers without any sides. Perhaps naively we had assumed that chips would accompany them (I'm sure they did the last time I ate here??) and based on the price that would not have been an unreasonable assumption. Anyway we ordered 2 portions of chips which arrived after a few minutes. The point being that surely it's part of the person's job to ask whether we want sides. If for no other reason than the venue makes more money and they make more tips! It's just common sense and that is what is lacking. The other waitress floated around aimlessly as we ate, occasionally stopping to hover nearby, unsure whether to clear plates. For the price of the food, this place needs to do better. Teething problems I hope as Kilburn needs a decent restaurant and this could be it with a bit of management focus.

Previously been for one-for-the-road, nice pint and service and atmosphere. Went for brunch yesterday on the advice of my partner, glad we went. I had the flat iron steak sandwich and it was amazing to say the least. The flavour was indescribable - in the good sense of the word, telling is in the tasting, melt in the mouth. I love the interior, very quirky and it works well. Service was attentive and I will be back for sure. The coffee was strong and tasty - worth a note as many coffee houses serve weak coffee. Partner had beetroot and goats cheese on sourdough bread, tasted a bit and it was also tasty. Definitely needed in the area and hopefully similar style of establishments to come. I will try dinner service next.

If you like your craft beers and cocktails, and even craft beer cocktails... you'll be happy here, hehe. Add to that some extremely tasty small plates, mostly at around a fiver, including pig cheeks, butternut/goats cheese, fried ribs, hot beet/lentil and duck strips, and it gets even better. Smoky Beavertown Smog Rocket on tap, a fantastic marmalade sour cocktail and even a disco late in the evening made for a great atmosphere. Will re-iterate - bartenders will mix numerous cocktails off-menu at good value prices, mostly around £8. Great refurb. Go there...

Went here because the North London Tavern on the other side of the road was so noisy and busy. A lot calmer atmosphere and good music played at a sensible volume. Had some drinks (great selection) and burgers. Surprisingly good food and very good service. Would definitely go back to this place.

Had few drinks at Ironworks on Friday night, and it is a really nice friendly establishment (much better than it used to be for sure at the same location). It has a charm of a continental eat/drink/meet place, not a pub or restaurant as such but somewhere in between. Good choise of Meantime n Camden breweries' beers, and extensive cocktail list. Food is fancy n reasonably expensive. Excellent atmosphere though. Great place and I am well happy with what new owners have done with the place. Definitely recommended.

We're always keen to try new restaurants in the area, but this one, I wish I hadn't tried. The drinks were not served cold, the service was neglectful and slow and the food had very little taste. The 'premium' steak was poor quality, and just overall a plain dish. The cocktail's looked nice, so I would have ordered one had someone followed up with me at any stage during my visit. Nice ambiance, shame about the food and the staff. Wouldn't go back.

We've been here three times since it opened. We love it! The cocktails are excellent and the service is really superb. A friend was made a cocktail by one of the bar staff. It didn't suit her tastes so they offered to make another one which really was brilliant and lovely of them.My only criticism is that it is slightly on the expensive end of the spectrum, especially if you want to drink spirits! I'm pretty sure we paid about £8 for a vodka and Orange or JD and coke! That may have been for double measures, although if it was we didmt realise. If it was marginally cheaper we would come here much more often as we prefer it to everywhere else in the area.

I came here with friends for food and drinks, the food in only average it’s a standard burger that is not great, but the food is far too expensive. We were confused at first and the staff didn’t help on weather we order at the bar or if there is table service. The drinks are really nice, they have some good cocktails, sometimes service at the bar was mixed, we ordered the same gin and tonic and got it served in different ways. Overall I would come here again but not for food.

With the longer established neighbours, Brondes Age & North London Tavern, steps away we have now got another venue adding a great new touch to Kilburn. We have been in 4-5 times since the opening in Jan and always found the drinks & table service great. We tried the food for the first time on Valentine's day for dinner and it really is a very high quality. Scotched eggs with good sausage meat filling and just slightly runny egg to start alongside the most tender pig cheeks in a parsnip puree with parsnip crisps. We had a Wagyu burger to share, kitchen served it to us cut in half as they realised we were sharing, and nice crisp chips to dip into. Recommend it all and we will be back to sample what we missed!Venue isn't the largest but we have had no problems getting a table, all of which come with water, when we walk in.

This place is definitely one of the must try bars in London. The cocktail menu is unique as it has a selection of great beer cocktails as well as great wine list and premium spirits. The staff are really well trained as they provide great service serving as well as recommending great drinks. If you go there you must try ' the brigadier '. You won't be disappointed.

A great new bar/restaurant on Kilburn High Road. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable bar tenders. Great cocktails. Good range of beers and a great wine list too. Small-ish food menu but it's early days and the burgers and pork belly we ordered were well prepared. The service was very attentive - better than your standard gastro pub!Hopefully it will give the North London Tavern across the road a run for its money...it's certainly better value for money at Kilburn Ironworks.

Had the vegan burger which came out cold and had no sauce on it so was dry and unappetising. Others I was with said their meat burgers were cold also and very average. The front door was broken and wouldn’t shut so there was a really annoying cold draft blowing on us the whole meal. Table was wonky and unstable. Waiters got our orders wrong. Maybe we just got unlucky but I’ll be sticking to honest burgers next time.
