I was a customer at Dino's on the day when Tammy visited. As a independent witness, I found her review to be totally unjustified. She ordered one sandwich between two people, and when she saw there was a modest charge for eating in-house, she took her sandwich and sat at the table of the restaurant next door. Dino's sandwiches are made with fresh meats and vegetables all cooked in-house, on bread that is daily baked by Italian bakers. This is beautiful home-made food that shouldn't be spoiled by sour and unjustified comments.

Very sad and expensive sandwiches, couple slices of tomato in a dry focaccia.. not worth it

This Deli was all I asked for after my surgery. Worth every second of my large ciabatta bread sandwich with the salami and mozzarella. My little family were also delighted with their choices and we were made to feel like family!! I just love having a genuine italian spot near the hospital I am being treated at.

I love this place so much! Dino is so friendly and the food is amazing. Impossible to find anything like this in central London! I would go every day if I could - so much selection! Sandwiches are great and wide variety of drinks, chips, cookies etc and Italian groceries. I love the bresola. Wonderful fresh focaccia rolls as well. I want to go back for the arincini and eggplant and chicken scallopine!

I was drawn in by the positive reviews, but this is such a sad sandwich. One half-layer of meat, two torn basil leaves, a couple pieces of tomato. Starving after, not what you’d expect from a deli sandwich. The shop is charming, but it’s obvious they need to raise their prices to pay for better quality / substantial meals. It was just under £7 for a sandwich, which ended up being too good to be true. Hope to have a better experience if I come back!

I can't remember walking down this alley before. We spotted this very narrow Italian delicatessen and sat outside with a very nicely made coffee. The owner said he has been here for 25 years.

I stumbled across this Deli while arranging a presentation for one of my clients. I work for an Italian company. So good food is important to us. What a place. Lovely people, fantastic food and great choice. It was quite a large order for 6 people. All vegi. They kindly made me a selection of rolls, cakes and drinks. The sandwiches/paninis were ok but with very little filling (minimal mozzarella and very, very little ham!). Personally, I much prefer Italia Uno on Charlotte street: much better bread/filling ratio AND half the price.

Sandwich was OK. I asked very clearly for salami in addition, they talked about it when making the sandwich. I received my sandwich without salami. I get charged for the salami. Not cool.

Un pequeño gran café italiano en la calle Goodge. Llevo aquí 25 años. Todo recién preparado con delicioso pan focaccia, etc. Mucho mejor que las cadenas habituales que dominan la calle principal. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente para un café rápido, un refrigerio o un almuerzo.

Dino took great care of us and fed us like kings! The food was fantastic and his personality made this a great experience after a visit to the British Museum. Thanks to Rick Steves for the recommendation!

The board says: Pasta £6.50. On my own, I had pasta + soda, they asked me to pay £9.75. They said (while laughing) that the pasta is £7.50 and the drink £2.25. I thought it was expensive for a soda can, but for the pasta it was not the indicated price. They said it was because I sat at a small table outside (the food still came in a takeaway plastic box and no service). I wasn't gonna fight for a couple of pounds, but I won't go back there.

I went into Dino's today for lunch after weeks of seeing piles of people queuing out of the door whenever I walked past. There was so much to choose from and it all looked amazing - I chose to have a salami, mozzarella, fresh tomato and basil on olive bread and it was absolutely delicious. Teamed it with a Pastel de nata which was absolutely gorgeous too! Such a warm and inviting place with a lovely atmosphere set by Dino and his wife - perfect to sit on a stool and read a paper or to bob in and out quickly for a takeaway lunch. Highly recommend.

Work took me away from Charlotte Place but I'm back after nearly 10 years away. I'm delighted to report it's the same Dino, the same excellent sandwiches and the same great prices. And if you like Italian coffee this is the place for you. There are very few traditional 'value' places like this left in London but I'm not surprised Dino is still going strong. It's good to be back!

Had a mediocre coffee and non descript ham and cheese sandwich in this small ordinary looking cafe and was charged £7.50. Definitely overpriced. Shan't visit again. The excellent reviews left here don't match up with the experience I had. A change of ownership, perhaps?

Best Italian salumeria in London!

Very tiny Italian deli that as been here for 29 years so the owner told me. Really nice coffee but an excellent sandwich. I had Italian spicy sausage with sun dried tomato and peppers on a really nice foccasia bun. Very nice place.

I have been into salumeria dino a number of times for lunch as I work close by. Salumeria Dino is very small and often qyite busy during lunch, but if youre looking for a good sandwich or great pasta to takeaway then this is the place. The couple who run the place are very friendly and after the first intimidating visit and you soon find they will help you make your decision. I must admit that its quite confusing when you first get in and its hard to know exactly whats on offer. I have had the pasta and the sandwiches and they never fail to be delicious. Be prepared with cash though! Great place and highly recommend

Hidden gem. An original Italian deli with great food. Friendly, family run. Try the sandwich special of the day made on big wonderful Italian bread, then finish with cannoli and an espresso macchiato. Italian treats to buy as well.

A beautiful delicatessen, fairly close to Oxford Street, so well worth the visit if you're in the area.

One of my favourite places to eat lunch in London. So friendly and really great authentic Italian food. The Salmon Tortellini and Chicken escalope sandwich are really great. A must go to Soho institution.

Tengo mi almuerzo en Dino's al menos una vez a la semana. Dino y Nanda tener una junta ofertas especiales o se conforman lo que te apetezca en una amplia variedad de bollos de pan o foccacia. Además de bocadillos siempre hay varias opciones de pastas o arrancini. Si nada más, tomar un café y si es tranquila (que normalmente no lo es), charlar con ellos. Son fenomenales. Mi favorito es el sándwich de crema tri-tomate deshidratado foccacia con un toque de aceite de Chili Dino's.

This cafe does a great no nonsense cappuccino and a bacon roll for £3. Great food, great prices and friendly staff. Glad to work nearby.

I used to come here at least once a week when I worked around the corner. Incredible toasted sandwiches, and always a small queue. I tend to get a toasted focaccia and pick my own fillings, rather than going by the menu. Italian husband and wife team are delightful. Cash only.

Finally! I found a place where you can find the authentic italian coffee! the food is good too, you can get a real homemade italian panini, tastes good and it's not expensive.

I've been eating here since 1993. There are 100 other sandwich bars around but if you want a fresh chicken escalope or mozarella and tomato sandwich this is the place. And don't forget to try the tirimasu. True Italian sandwich shop.

Picked up a couple sandwiches in the morning (it opens early) to take with us on a full-day trip. Sandwiches held up well and were quite filling.

They sell my favourite sandwich ever at Dino’s - the fig, prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich on focaccia. You can only buy it for a few months in the year while figs are in season but it is amazing and definitely worth trying. Outside of fig session they also have a huge range of other delicious sandwiches and Italian treats. The prices are really good making it a great lunch option.

Dino's in Rathbone Place is a steal for the £3 offer on his coffee with a bacon or sausage roll. I got the sausage ciabatta as a favour and very good it was. Nice cheerful place, if Manny is in see if he has any new jokes?

I always aim to get my lunch here around midday before the lunchtime rush, and because Nanda (who is Dino's wife) brings up her freshly made Salmon & Dill Tortellini. It's fresh, tasty and very scrumptious Dino's freshly made selection of sandwiches make the chains look ridiculous and his ingredients are excellent, please try his toasted Mozzarella & Tomato in Ciabatta

An absolute hidden gem, this is the king of Italian sandwiches, possibly even sandwiches full stop. Fresh toasted ciabatta or focaccia (in an array of flavours) with an huge selection of authentic Italian fillings. Not to mention the salads, pastas, arancini di riso and groceries that are jam packed into this place.The couple that work there are always friendly and their dedication shows in the quality of the food.It gets pretty busy around lunch and the queue can stretch outside the door, but if there is a queue don't be put off, you're not usually queuing for long and service is fairly swift.I can't recommend this place highly enough! I've been 4 or 5 times when I pass by in the last year or so and will continue to go back when I'm in the area, ITS THE BEST.

I started going there 15 years ago when a friend recommeded it . The sandwiches have kept me going since - my favourite being the spicy salami, provolone, fresh tomato on chilli foccaica but to be honest I've been round the menu many times. Highly recommend for a filling lunch.

Best sandwich shop near Goodge Street bar none. I keep thinking I should be more adventurous and try other places around here and Soho, but whenever I do they're all so disappointing in comparison. Unceasingly friendly and efficient service even during the lunch crush, great (and large!) ciabatta & focaccia and decent Italian ingredients. All for just 20% more than a rubbish supermarket sandwich. Go!

Dino's was the first place that my new colleagues told me about when I started working in the area. It's one of those little delis that makes you feel happy just from walking in. And that's just the start. Order creamy, homemade pasta to take back to your desk, or one of the monster ciabatte or focacce. Dino slices the charcuterie to order right in front of you.
