Ordered a meal for four people. Food ok, comparable with other restaurants locally but portion size small. Mixed Hors D'ouvres consisted of 2 chicken satay, 2 ribs, 4 very small prawn toasts, 4 mini spring rolls, small amount of shredded chicken and enough seaweed for one person! The aromatic duck only had six pancakes and the rest of the meal was equally small. Disappointing and won't be ordering again.
Arrived at 11.20 for brunch. It’s been refurbished since we last went and has lost its farm feel and the farm shop is minuscule. We’re asked if we wanted to sit outside or in - replied outside and we’re told to take any table we wanted. Couldn’t find a free table outside so we’re then showed to a table inside. Given menus etc. waited 5 mins for someone to take our order. When she arrived she said they’d stopped serving breakfast, it stopped at 11.30. It was 11.33. We asked if the kitchen would still serve us as we had arrived before 11,30. She went away and came back and said no. Pizzas only. We left. Absolute joke. Won’t be going back.
We are no longer local, we were up that way and passing by it seemed a nice place to grab a bite. Good choice too, lovely coffee. Friendly staff and cakes to die for.
They got my order wrong, it wasn’t the end of the world and despite offers I declined their kind invitation to change it for what I did order.
The incorrect order was delicious, as was their carrot cake.
They were busy, we were served quickly and our order was delivered just as quick.
I’ve been reading through some of the other reviews, particularly the bad ones and it doesn’t reflect the place I visited. The staff are friendly, attentive and very busy. The tables were clean and the place itself was clean tidy bright and welcoming.
Five stars and a recommendation that you visit.
Great food, wonderful customer service. Very popular takeaway frequented my many locals and also you often see our local police and ambulance hero’s getting food in their breaks.
We use Ming's Restaurant quite frequently as their food is absolutely fantastic every time. There's a great range of foods to keep things different whilst their repeatability means the "usuals" are always the same nice, clean and crisp tasting without being covered in oil.
Friends and family traveling over from other regions always ask for a Ming's on a Saturday night as they prefer to their own local Chinese offerings.
All my life my family have visited the Hippy Chippy. They moved here in 1982 and whenever I'm home we place an order. As a child it was the great treat of the week; the Saturday night Hippie Chippie.
But the resturuant I knew disappeared even before the lockdown. Now they regularly forget items and are powerless to deliver the missing items. The best they can do is suggest you get a refund from Uber, which won't be enough to get replacement food delivered. They're powerless.
They've also started skimping on chips. Abundant chips used to be a hallmark of the place; big parcels of paper wrapped chips. Now it's an environmentally unfriendly polystyrene box with barely a handful of their once famous chips.
The Parade Fish Bar and Time and Plaice are vastly superior options now. I suggest you leave the Hippie Chippy to the past where it belongs.

This KFC for some reason is not as good as other branches, everything tastes dry and under seasoned, food was Luke warm, hot wings were dry and taste funny. I don’t know if it’s the management or just the way they cook food there. Somethings definitely not right.
This place is pants, the service was horrendous the comments from the staff poor. The food came up all at different times supposedly due to deliveroo orders and breaks. The food was rank and expensive. I wouldnt piss on thia place if it was on fire.
