This is our favourite Chinese to come to! And never had a bad experience, until the last 2 times. The salt and pepper box has got considerably smaller with less of the chicken etc and so many more chips! This time the actual seasoning was forgotten too so it was the blandest box you could imagine. Really hope it doesn’t happen a 3rd time as we would hate to find somewhere new

Go here twice weekly every week. Lovely friendly staff, foods always very good. Never had a bad dish. I always order king prawn dishes and they are fresh and I have no worries being seafood unlike other places I have been. Hence why I keep going back! This is worth a try and you will be converted!!! I used to go to the one a few doors along as they were lovely peopke too, sadly the last time I went there the pork broke my tooth!!! So I tried here and will never look back... keep up the great service and fresh quality food and I will always be a customer

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. This has got to be one of the rudest encounters I have ever had with a member of staff anywhere. The man at the counter acts like he’s doing you a favour as opposed to you being an actual paying customer. This used to be our local however we’ve had one too many rude behaviour that it’s not even worth it anymore. I’d rather drive an hour away for food than pay someone who treats people like they’re under their feet. Absolutely disgraceful. I wish I had read up on their reviews before as it appears bad customer service and rude behaviour is their usual way of dealing with their loyal customers. Don’t just avoid, run a mile.

I found the owner behind the counter very rude. I would rather pick my mum up and drive her back to mine and use my local than go here again. The only reason why I still bought the takeaway was that I didn't know if there was another takeaway in the area..

AVOID AVOID AVOID NO TASTE AT ALL... I EVEN GOT SICK the nextday... wondering what sanitary is doing nowadays... letting restaurants serving us with rubbish food for high price. I ordered through deliveroo their meal 1, chicken balls and chicken curry, that was the worst Chinese food ever. You could definitely count how many fried bits were in the rice.. the chicken, if it was definitely chicken was bland, tasteless and the curry had no taste at all, no flavour.. feeling bad giving a star as they don't deserve even 1.

Really not worth the money food was bland, not like any Asian food I’ve had tasted like it was made by someone who’s still learning to make Asian food. Most of the food are just wrong. For example chop suey is used in the rice so the rice is all soggy and taste is bland, wrong type of noodles used in soup they use stir fry noodle. They don’t cook different dishes they just cook a few and use those dishes to make new ones which is just horrible and charge so much for that sort of work? One of the Worst Chinese food in England probably.

I’m so disappointed I have been using this takeaway for many years and today the food was cold al of it, food was tasteless new owners would not recommend this takeaway. I believe that are using cheapest ingredients

Food is really fresh and tasty. We had a bit of a mix up over the order through Just Eat and New Phoenix did everything they could to rectify this. Would use them again.

Really disappointed. The takeaway was delivered an hour late and was cold. Plus 3 of my crispy duck pancakes had bones in, one being around an inch or so big which I nearly choked on and has cut the inside of my mouth and tongue. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Placed an order at 5pm to be delivered at 7pm but did not arrive until 8pm it was cold and there was no duck sauce that I ordered to go with the duck spring rolls which 3 off them had quite big duck bones in so didn't eat any more so really on the whole this meal was late it was cold and pancake rolls full of bones what a waste of £40.00 im never going to buy anything from this place again.

Food was great, prices are reasonable. Service was pretty slow for a pickup, was told 15 minutes but waited nearly 25 minutes and it wasn't busy in there. Staff was friendly enough.

Very bad taste. Salty too much curry on every dish including Singapore vermicelli which should be nice fresh and crispy. I can't understand why vermicelli is completely yellow and mashy. Spring rolls tasted horrible. My daughter and I couldn't eat the food. It was my first order with them and it is a big disappointment. They couldn't be bothered to shredd the eggs on the vermicelli rather it was one large omelette over it. Their sweet &sour chicken was horrible. The chicken was too chewy. My usual restaurant Jade Gardens do not open on Tuesday. If they were opened i wouldn't have placed an order with them. careful with their king prawn dishes. Praws are not fresh. I had a piece and I felt ill the whole night. What a complete and utterly waste of my money including delivery charge.

I ordered and picked up a meal from here and was given an incorrect dish. I phoned through to tell them and at this point I was reasonable and calm and willing to return to the shop to pick up the correct meal. However the guy on the phone, who had served me five minutes earlier, would simply not listen to me. He just argued with me, telling me I had the correct meal. As I was trying to explain that I did not order or want a plate full of pineapple he simply hung up on me while I was speaking. I then went back to the shop, armed with a photograph of a plate full of rice and pineapple, by this time I was angry, being hung up on mid sentence tends to have that effect on me. The chef / owner came out and the two of them argued with me, telling me that I did not understand Chinese food and asking, was it the first time I had ordered Chinese food? Which was strange because I have been eating Chinese food for over 40 years and certainly many years longer than they have been cooking it. I was getting nowhere, I was angry, and they were becoming aggressive so I asked for a refund. The 'meal' cost me £12.30. The chef / owner took a five pound note out of the till and aggressively threw it across the counter at me, it landed at my feet. I picked it up and left. I actually heard the same guy arguing with customer on the phone a couple of weeks ago telling him that he should contact Deliveroo to tell them he had the wrong meal and that he could not change it. Incidentally the food was awful, stodgy rice, burnt duck and a plate full of luke warm pineapple that I did not order or want to eat. It all went in the bin. I will never use this takeaway again the food is average at best and the he staff who used to be just comically rude are now rude and aggressive. What person in a service industry simply hangs up on a customer when the customer is calmly trying to make a point? I am afraid to say that unless they improve their customer service they will fail and they will deserve to fail. Apart from that everything was fine.

I would give zero stars if I could. Extremely rude staff who insulted me after several years of repeat custom, the one time I offered feedback that the food tasted strange. They don’t value their loyal customers, I was literally told, “I don’t care” by the rude man there and hung up on, even though I spoke calmly and politely. A simple apology would have done but they couldn’t even muster that up. I will never give them my custom again.

Terrible food. One star for a prompt delivery. Chicken dishes were all chewy, crispy beef was rubbery,battered dishes were oily and the chips resembled plastic. The only edible dish was the rice, even a fox sniffed the chicken we threw in the garden and left it.We should have realised when they were not busy on what should have been a very busy night. I will never use them again and in no way could I recommend them. The food may have been "cooked" that day but let's just say not very well!! This was not the only bad review for the same day, look on different sites such as Just Eat.

Avoid! The food smelt rotten, duck was so dry, chicken in black bean sauce full of oil, beef very chewy.

Ordered from here via Deliveroo. There was a mains missing. I rang to asked about it and it seemed a young ish guy was going to deal with it. He was so rude and lied. He said he would send it out once a driver arrived back. He took a phone number and the address, so that sounded like that was what he was going to do. Waited an hour. Nothing came. Rang back and he said, I had to go through customer services, they would not be sending the item out. It was 9.15pm by this time. I get that I had to contact customer service now, he should have said the first time I called instead of letting me think they would be sending the food. He then because short, rude, said he only worked there a few days. He was actively trying to get me to bite and stupidly I did. He was so incredibly rude. It was his attitude that got me. It was unreasonable, childish and ridiculous.

Pre ordered collection for 7pm wasnt ready till 715 no apology ticket still on the side as they take too many orders for them to deal with when i got home part of my order was missing would not recommended this chinese as has down hill the last year 😑

I odered a couple of meals for me and my friends this eve as I have used this chinese in the past and liked it. i couldnt believe the difference. It was not very good at all. Small portions and not what was ordered. When i called the shop the staff were very rude and not at all willing to amend the order to please me as a valued customer. This place has really gone downhill. i will never use this Chinese again.

Decided to get a take away during lock down and chose this restaurant based on a few that were available. Was advised delivey would take over an hour but for a long wait the food was extremely disappointing, not hot, greasy, very bland and not much flavour or spice. The chicken was of a poor quality and also the satay and curry sauce was very gloopy. I requested for the sweet and sour sauce with chicken balls to be changed to BBQ but they still delivered us sweet an sour. Ordered for a family of 4 adults and we all threw it away. Waste of almost £55 will never order from here again. Would not recommend at all!!

Yes people I am here to give you a proper review of this Chinese :) Firstly I Ordered at around 7:15pm - my food did not come until 9:30pm not great , the phone number didn’t ring for the first hour and then when it did go through the lady on the phone wasn’t very helpful she simply said - it’s on the way sorry for the delay almost like she was in a rush to get me off the phone. Secondly - I ordered salt and pepper prawns with Singapore vermicelli noodles along with vegetable chow mein and seaweed. Given taken the time it took to come the prawns was not spicy at all more just salty. The batter just slipped of the prawns also soggy and dry. The noodles was oily plain not favorable at all. The vegetable chow mein I got told was nice nothing special along with the seaweed no complaints there but that to me is a basic meal to cook. Having spent over £25 to also receive a really sad pathetic prawn cracker bag. Overall experience I will rate a 3 out of 10. I have not ordered everything on the menu so they might just be having a bad day but overall I think the food was basic.

DONT USE this place if you want your meal at a decent time. I was told an hour and half from my order time and got it 3 1/2 hours later!! Couldn’t get thought to the restaurant to find out where my order was! I was in bed when it arrived! And they refused to refund my money!

Placed order at 7pm this evening order number 898384252 was told via app that delivery was due at 8:10pm which was to be expected due to current circumstances, then when 8:10pm arrived app stated arrival at 9:20. At 9:44pm still no food and stated that food was delivered which never arrived cant call restaurant as telephone mailbox was full, this was supposed to be a treat for our son for his birthday as it was the only food he wanted and this is what we was left with, a sour taste in our mouths and a shocking experience with the worst customer service ever or lack of as there is no way to contact anyone.

Ordered from this joke of a restaurant on JustEat, no sign of order being delivered. Phone number doesn’t go though because “mailbox is full”. Couldn’t get an update or cancel order. 2h38min later it says it’s been delivered, but no sign of order. Couldn’t speak to them to find out what’s happened, they never called me once to say order was late, driver didn’t call to say delivered. No food, and £35.60 lighter

Absolutely appalled by the service tonight i placed my order at 7pm and the food finally turns up at 8:50pm. I called the restaurant at 8:20 to be told my food was on it's way but still it took 30 minutes to get to me only 2 miles away may i add. When i phone back at 8:45pm to see what is going on i get a young girl that was abrupt and rude. When i said i was not happy with the service all she could say was i am not the owner so not my problem you need to speak to the owner. I asked if the owner was available and i get the answer he is not here call back another time.

Used to be good now telling you one time and turns up over twenty mins late (one hour and twenty mins) and we are ten mins walk away and it turned up quite cold Won't be going there again

Awful experience. Ordered food & was told just over an hour. 1 & half hours later chased up to be told was on way. Waited another 30 mins to be told was still on way. After I cancelled order it turned up another 30 mins later. A whole 2 hours 30 mins for Chinese. No sensible would order from from here. Staff were also very short & rude on phone. Worst experience ever.

Great food, brilliant service for a takeaway

Been-using this takeaway for at least 10years. As with anything it has its ups and downs, however as of late the food and service has be first class.

Lovely food but they missed an item off of our order. EDITED When we visited again they remembered and provided the item free of charge - excellent customer service.

I ordered a meal from here on Saturday the 24th February at 7.30 pm and it arrived at 9.45 pm I must say I was not happy as upon dishing up the meals they were all cold my order was nearly £40 so my husband phoned to tell them and all they could do was offer 20% discount next time are you serious there won’t be a next time.and me and my son were both ill was sick all night as was definitely something wrong with the special chow mein was only thing we shared so was probably reheated by yourselves hoping it would arrive hot but it never and as this contained prawns it should not be reheated as causes food poisoning.so I am a very unhappy customer. And I will be reporting this to trading standards and the local ombudsman

Recieved a text msg offering 10% off all orders over £25, so decided to place an order, I was then told there was no discount ! Meal arrived with Crispy Chilli Beef missing, when I called the restaurant they said it's not their problem, I will definitely not be ordering from them again, absolutely terrible service, ruined our evening & left us feeling very disappointed.

Moved to Crayford over 20 years ago and ALWAYS use New Phoenix. Staff lovely and polite. Great portion sizes and lovely tasting food. We go nowhere else
