Arrived at 11.20 for brunch. It’s been refurbished since we last went and has lost its farm feel and the farm shop is minuscule. We’re asked if we wanted to sit outside or in - replied outside and we’re told to take any table we wanted. Couldn’t find a free table outside so we’re then showed to a table inside. Given menus etc. waited 5 mins for someone to take our order. When she arrived she said they’d stopped serving breakfast, it stopped at 11.30. It was 11.33. We asked if the kitchen would still serve us as we had arrived before 11,30. She went away and came back and said no. Pizzas only. We left. Absolute joke. Won’t be going back.

We love stopping off here on our walks in Foots Cray Meadows. Not only is there a lovely cafe with outside and inside seating, selling delicious cakes as well as meals, but there’s a well stocked shop bursting with beautiful fresh produce and traditional baked goods as well as jams and pickles. As if that wasn’t enough, they also sell a good range of plants and things for the garden.

I don't know what happened today but the food was very poor. Staff lovely!! Been going there for ages but they have changed Egg Benedict and now doing egg, bacon on a muffin. The hollandaise Sauce was in a tiny pot and it had separated. My extra toast was cold!! Have they changed cook!! I love the shop but won't be going for breakfast again as this second I have been and the food was not very good.

Went for breakfast a few weeks ago, great breakfast and great service. You can sit outside when the sun is shining plenty of seats. I went on a Saturday and was very busy in both the farm shop and cafe. Lovely fresh produce and some other interesting sauces and jams etc.

Great place to go for fresh produce but also they have a restaurant serving a variety of meals from breakfast through to dinner, cream tea and Sunday roasts. Would highly recommend

Nice wee farm shop and really friendly staff. We placed our order and drinks came up immediately, which created a bit of a dilemma because by the time the scone etc. appeared my tea was cold. I have no complaints about the food in general (scone was ever so good), just that for cream tea it should all appear together (and not in a mug if I am being picky).

Walking in Footscray Meadows and originally intended walking to Bexley itself. Wandered off-course a bit and found this gem. Pleasant setting interior, setting and staff. Looks like a varied menu. Most of us settled for drinks only. 4 of us, me included, decided to go for the inviting teacakes that greeted us as we went in. Delicious - and with a choice of honey, jam or marmalade as well as better.

The restaurant is pleasant but not impressive. Considering at 3.50pm we were the only customers the service was I suppose fair. It's strange the restaurant is open till 5pm but we were going to be the last order. Things that arrived were not quite as we ordered but no worries. I find the place has a sort of unfriendly feel about which is a shame. The farm shop is excellent.

Not the best. Staff had a lack of knowledge around gluten free options and turns out not many alternatives for breakfast, although did manage to swap the sausage for an extra egg. Coffee machine broken. It wasn't at all busy but had to chase our drinks when people arriving 15 minutes after us received theirs. One breakfast missing potatoes and the other had no egg or beans (though the one without toast still had butter on the side!). All rectified and food was ok but won't be hurrying back.

Lovely place and was impressed but unfortunately the chaotic service spoilt the experience such a shame as it has all the trappings to be an excellent business I ordered porridge and toast which arrived quick also my granddaughters scrambled eggs on toast but unfortunately my daughters and son in laws seemed to have been given to the wrong table so I had eaten mine before theirs arrived so the whole experience seem to take all morning .The tables have numbers on them so surely as the orders are taken by a member of staff why not put the table number on the order to stop this mistake happening again They lady that took our order was pleasant and friendly but other staff did not seem to have the same presence .Went into the farm shop to buy some things the two men on the till where 100% better in their friendly nature than the staff in the cafe side. Please get some organisation as you do have a lovely clean place

Went with my wife today for lunch. I had the veggie all day breakfast and wife had jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw. My brekkie was really good and a very large portion. My wife loved her jacket and the coleslaw seemed homemade and very good. Service was quick and very friendly .We will definitely go be going back

This could be a great little set up, however due to the extremely slow, shambolic service and ridiculously expensive pricing i would not recommend. There are not enough staff, certainly not enough that know what they are doing. Queues are long and service is slow. Staff appear to work hard but have no coherent strategy to get the correct food and drink to the correct table in a reasonable amount of time, if at all, as orders are lost and no receipt is given.

A dozen of us called in for coffee. They were so slow and the officious woman in black insisted we had to have just one bill and sort it out for ourselves. Fortunately we're civilised folk and did just that. I asked could I have a hot sausage roll, she said yes. Ten minutes later up comes a plate with TWO barely warm sausage rolls and a plate of salad costing over £3. I only wanted a hot sausage roll. The lukewarm ones had obviously been defrosted or something because they were hard and cold inside. I didn't eat them. I wish she'd said it wasn't possible to have a single sausage roll. We paid and left.

Had cake & tea with a friend. Ordered tea for two and got two small individual stainless steel pots. They held just over a small china tea cup each which didn't really quench our thirst so we ordered more and asked if they did a pot for two which they said they did. The pot that arrived was china and minuscule and we barely got a full cup each. I would say it's the size normally served for one anywhere else. When we queried the size we were told we could have had more hot water - so why didn't they offer this when we had exhausted our first pots? We used the same cups and milk delivered with the first pots but were charged 4 x £1.85 for tea which is extortionate. We were also charged £3.95 for just a slice of cake and when we queried wasn't this the price with ice cream we were told it was and they could take the price of the Ice cream off and went away and came back and said it was £3.50!! No apology at anytime. This place is let down by it's surly thoughtless staff and pricing. The fact that it is rarely busy when a similar local farm tea room has people queuing for tables everyday says it all!

We had driven down from Cheshire for great- grandsons 4th birthday party in the crayzee barn so we decided to have lunch first in the cafe. We were given a warm welcome menus arrived quickly and drink orders were taken. Once we had ordered our meals we did have a wait but it is all cooked to order, so we had no problem with this, if you want fast food go to an American diner!! The food was hot and fresh British fare.

Went to Kelsey's for late breakfast/lunch on Friday afternoon. Service was very slow, possibly not the fault of the serving staff, not just not enough of them. Extra glass was offered with my husbands largish bottle of spa water and extra plate provided for the one cream tea which we shared. But my ciabatta was flat and soft and the scones with the cream tea must have been microwaved as they were both brittle and had welded themselves to the napkin they were served on.Very disappointed. Only plus point was easy parking.

I used to go there to buy meat or fruit, but this time we decided to try the restaurant because our usual farm was closed. The drinks came on time but the food took about 35 minutes. We ordered full breakfast, but the bacon was oily and you could see the oil was old and dark from previous cooking, and also was quite cold. The added something that looks like very small chunks of potatoes fried, as well super oily and soggy. The sausage was cold and also full of oil. It looked like they just re-heat the food in oily pan. I would never go back to the restaurant.

I have visited this establishment on 5 occasions now and every time the food has been excellent. The menu is extensive and whatever you chose is well presented and tasty. It is a nice meeting place to have a chat with friends. The air con can be a little cold so best not to sit underneath it.

First impressions of this place is promising. Lovely surroundings and plenty of parking. You walk through the farm shop and enter the 'kitchen' and wait to be seated by a friendly staff member. Good seating and drinks arrived in very good time. Then it went downhill as the food took far too long to arrive and when it did we were disappointed as it was overcooked and expected better from a farm. This has the potential to out do the other farm which serves food just down the road which is always packed out. With the right people in the cooking department it could be done. Having read the previous reviews it seems there's a recurring issue. Shame because I really wanted to enjoy the place as it's our first visit.

We went as family of four with a toddler for Mother's Day lunch. The starters were absolutely delicious and the roast dinners were fantastic. Great portion sizes, we struggled to finish our mains and didn't have room for dessert. The service was fantastic; very friendly. They had a lovely dry prosecco, too. We will definitely be returning, a great family friendly place to eat.

My wife and I had weekday lunch here on a recommendation. Drinks were served quickly but food took 40 minutes to arrive. My wife's bangers and mash were fine but my pan fried chicken was over cooked and dry. Such a pitty as the food looked delicious when served and the place has a good atmosphere. Will try it again at some point.

Really like supporting local businesses and don't really like leaving negative reviews but was disappointed with our visit here.Seated quickly and drinks came soon but one tea spoon had food remains on it (carrot) which when highlighted was changed but not much of an apology. One saucer had coffee grounds all over it and the cup had grounds in the bottom of it when drunk which might explain the over bitter taste of the coffee.Food was ok but nothing special. Wanted to like this place but can't really recommend it as there are better other local places.

I visited Kelseys with some mum friends and our babies, they were very accommodating and didn't mind buggies being brought in. Plenty of tables, we visited in the week during the day in the school holidays. A better place to meet for mums if you are after tea and cake. Much more welcoming thank Honeydale Farm.Food was lovely. Especially the cake!

After finishing the gym i decided to treat myself to a long awaited "all day breakfast" and thought I would try out the attractive little farm kitchen, the type of place you would expect to see on Emmerdale Farm with the charming custom made kitchen and interior which is a lovely designed interior. Unfortunately the positive comments had to stop there. Not knowing if to sit or order before sitting I stayed in the line for a good 10 minutes patiently waiting to be served, only to be told unfortunately I can't take you order here you need to sit down (mmm). I then politely took my seat at the less busy part of the restaurant and became extremely frustrated as I had not been served only to be told, sorry that parts closed we thought you had been served. OK by this point I was very tempted to leave but thought I would stick it out to ensure the effort not wasted. I ordered coffee and to be honest the coffee was extremely nice and work paying that little extra for. I did however have high expectations now following not the greatest start to my experience. I then got my breakfast which consisted of Salte potatoes, egg, 2 bacon, beans, sausage and toast. Unfortunately as soon as I saw it I new it was over priced with really thinly cut bacon, burnt base on the egg, cold sausage and dry toast cooked prior to the breakfast being ready. The experience cost around £9 but the quality seemed poor compared to a local greasy spoon cafe. There was some brownie points gained with the service following the slow start, the waitress came up politely to check everything was ok, but if I am honest I was too polite to say no, i just hate it when the are nice it makes it extremely hard to complain. If you are looking for a nice coffee and cake in nice surroundings I am sure this will be right up your street, but for a good solid breakfast I would say far better off in a greasy spoon cafe paying £4.50 for far better quality food...
