We visited Pop Pins twice in August. What an adorable place to eat ice cream and talking of ice cream, you will be spoilt for choice ! There is a wide range of desserts and sandwiches etc all in a very pretty building. There are even sand and seashells along the front windowsill, how cute ! The cafe is small but there is seating outside and a lovely courtyard out the back that is so lovely. Pastel painted walls and pretty garden seats and cushions along with flowers. Such a lovely place to eat and meet with friends and family. The portions are big too. I wish i lived in Frinton so i could visit here every week. Ps theres a toilet too and the staff are very nice.

I’ve previously raved about this small coffee shop cum cafe but, disappointingly, I didn’t enjoy the food on our recent visit. We were a family group of five, three of whom had the tuna ciabatta melt which, they said, was very good. However, my grandson’s squash and spinach soup lacked any taste of squash (I tasted the soup) and, actually, with its very dark green colour, I didn’t think the soup looked appealing either. Spinach has such a strong taste and, if it’s being used alongside other vegetables in soup-making, the amount needs to be proportionate to the other ingredients. Unfortunately, the spinach was overpowering and totally drowned out any flavour from the squash. I ordered a home-baked, warm asparagus, spinach, tomato and cheese tart which I can only describe as dire. The pastry was soggy, so I only ate the middle of the tart and left the pastry, whilst the accompanying salad was tiny and boring beyond belief, with just a few leaves, a couple of pieces of tomato and a few bits of cucumber. The salad actually resembled nothing more than a garnish, with a bit of dressing on top, and, at £12, the meal was poor quality and even poorer value for money. The lattes were excellent and my son-in-law enjoyed his Terry’s orange flavoured hot chocolate but there wasn’t a great choice of cakes to go with our drinks so none of us bothered. In terms of the food, there doesn’t appear to be an actual kitchen, just a section within the cafe where a member of staff was preparing the orders. I’d never previously noticed before that there wasn’t a kitchen here so not sure if this is a change. However, only having a microwave and no oven would explain why I had a tart with soggy pastry! Regrettably, I can’t even say that the staff were brilliant. We were mainly served by one staff member who I can only describe as surly looking, leading me to want to repeat a childhood phrase my mum used to say when I was being grumpy, ‘if you smile, your face will crack!’. A second member of staff, though, was so different and really nice. I’d have been happy to have given some honest feedback at the time but, unfortunately, nobody asked if we’d enjoyed our meal. I can say, now though, that my meal was extremely poor and, with a bill of £65 for our group, it wasn’t cheap. Finishing on a positive note, the toilets were clean.

Very limited range on offer been coming to Holkham for years and have to say he courtyard cafe menu is disappointing and has never changed over that time it probably ok if you like leak& potato soup veg chilli & sausage rolls and a small range of pre- packed sandwiches. I would suggest it would be better to franchise it out to deliver a better customer standard. Missing great opportunities here.

We have been there several times and the food portions as been big and tasted very very nice, Unfortunately our visit on mother's day was not as good, the starter was for 3 was very poor and the mains was not so good either, I had sea bass and it was dry and over cooked, the lamb shanks was very fatty and greasy and did not taste very good but it was eatable, Unfortunately we not will not be using again.

Why anyone would choose to call a cafe Tickety Boo is beyond me but the food is good and you don't eat the name! Very strange and off-putting style where they take your money before you eat - which meant we didn't order any cake after our meal as we couldn't be bothered to queue and pay all over again. None of the diners I've seen in here look like the type that would run off without paying! Despite this the food really was excellent and I will be back for more.

I think some more up-to-date photos would help. These pictures are from when The Angel was in the High St. They are now in the Civic Centre The breakfast is still as good as ever. The service and welcome are good and the food is still excellent Only one slight moan and that would be the price of a cup of coffee: £3.50 for a small cup is too expensive

We went to Hoveton Hall Garden on a rainy day. We stopped at the cafe twice. Once for drinks and then for lunch. The fish finger sandwiches were great. We had toasted banana bread with honey and a brownie. Both were fantastic. Both members of staff were lovely and really helpful. The barn was lovely and warm with the log burner. Many thanks for great service.

Good service and friendly staff. I had a sandwich with cheese, pickle and ham which was tasty, and fresh, soft bread! A family member had a cheesey jacket potato at £9 which does seem a bit steep (especially since they charge £9 for cheese and beans) so was a bit mean to charge the same just for cheese. However, there was lots cake to choose from and I enjoyed the general ambience and tearoom feel. One other thing to be mindful of is that they do not have a toilet!!
