Ordered on their new self service checkout.
We ordered poached egg on toast, and porridge with honey as well as two pots of tea.
The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, maybe 8 tables and us, yet we still waited almost 20 minutes before the food came out. (You sort out the drinks yourself)
The food was literally dropped on the table and went to leave. My partner asked if he could have sauce and a couple of sachets were almost thrown at him.
The porridge had no honey, so I asked the staff member who said it was already in the bowl. It wasn’t, so I went to the counter and asked for it.
The man didn’t even know where the honey was kept.
When I got back to the table my partner was eating his poached eggs. They were so overdone it looked like they had put hard boiled eggs minus the shells on his toast.
It was obviously understaffed but surely anyone can poach a couple of eggs?
The whole point of the self service is that you sit down and your meal is brought to you.
Great in theory - terrible in practice.
We have had a takeaway through most of lockdown to present day and have enjoyed everyone. We normally stick with the same items, chicken curry, special fried rice, ribs or sweet and sour chicken balls or prawn satay. Never been disappointed as we have been at other local Chinese Takeaways. Chicken is always breast not scrag end and rice is fluffy and quite a generous portion. Not sure if they changed chef tonight, but chicken curry sauce was different but much improved 👌
Lal Bagh used to be great - now with new owners I was able to have the worst experience!
A simple family evening out with my wife and two young kids. We have been coming to this restaurant for at least 8 years, since we moved to Bushey. I has changed hands, I think post pandemic. There used to be really friendly staff their who cared about their customers and quality of the food. In my opinion this is no longer the case.
On this occasion there there were two, maybe three young people running the restaurant. Two were on laptops at the front the the dining area. We ordered drinks and food.
To cover the food - mediocre at best. Popadoms were not fresh. This is where it does wrong. My wife had ordered a diet coke. When it came it was flat. No waiting staff coming to our table so she asked the two, on the laptops, about the flat coke. She was rudely told that they had just opened the bottle to it could not be flat. Totally dismissed the matter.
We finished our food and got the bill. I went to the front to pay. I explained to the the lady member of staff who had come away from her laptop to take payment that I thought if was awful the way they had treated my wife. The other chap got up from his laptop and stood next to me starring at me, quiet menacingly. I asked why he was doing this and the lady said he was looking after her safety. I asked if I was being rude or threatening. She said I was not. Yet he continued to stare at me as if preparing for a fight.
I will of course never go back to a restaurant which I have probably spent many hundreds of pounds over the years. All over a small glass of coke that they could not be bothered to deal with. If the bottle cost £1 they would have had to deal with 30p worth. Amazing.
Will not recommend and suggest anyone thinks twice about going here.
Just got the spicy chicken wings at XFC in Market Street Watford and all I can say is they are the best in town. Also got the piri piri chicken and it is AMAZING, waited for half an hour because it is done there fresh for you and it is worth the wait. They have got a
Good variety on the menu offering a great value for money. Will definitely buy from
them again.
Unqualified staff, very bad service. Unwelcoming restaurant, I do not recommend, a very bad experience. There will definitely not be another visit to this restaurant

Ordered a large boneless meal and got a regular with a dip I didn’t ask for and didn’t get the one I did ask for. The food was hot but the chips were mushy and the Pepsi very watery
Great atmosphere, large food and drinks menu, friendly people ready to play boardgames if you're not in a group, and a large space in both back and front so you don't feel cramped
The worst place i have ever been to and i placed order and i waited for 2 hours and still didn’t receive anything. The best thing to do stay away from this place.!

Absolutely disgusting - 0/5 food hygiene rating given by environmental health. The lowest score you can possibly get. If you value your health DO NOT order from this filthy establishment. They should be shut down!!
Please take a closer look at the customer reviews on this brunch !!
Things are not quite right there…… many people complaining and sadly nothing has changed.
Absolute waste of money! Food cold, even though delivery was quick. Food missing and very small kebab wrap, even though charged £12. Ordered 2 seperate pots of chilli and received (see attached photo). Was offered discount on next order. There will not be a next time. Don't waste your money!

I found the staff were fantastic , polite , helpful , courteous , food was quick , hot and tasty , this is the friendliest modt helpful mc donalds i have visited , well done everyone of you !! 👍👏👋👋
Ordered a cheese burger. This did take some time to arrive from ordering. The burger was pathetic, cheese slice looked like it had been cut with a laser and was congealed on the burger ( was on life support ), which tasted weird, and I wonder if it was some plant based effort. The chips came in a small wire basket, and would just about fill your palm. The seating is canteen / school hall style and not at all welcoming. There was a guy sweeping the floor who looked utterly uninterested in what he was doing, coupled with a negative atmosphere it was all a bit solemn ! Potential for a truly unique meet up diner / hang out experience is gone.
