Joe & The Juice in Watford

I used to go to Joe the juice regularly and today confirmed why I don’t. Bread is cold and cupaccino was like warm milk

I ordered two sandwiches, and the bread was stone cold and stale. When I politely asked if they could warm it up, I was met with a flat-out "no" and a bad attitude from the staff. The protein shake I ordered (Unicorn Tears) had way too much cinnamon, but after the sandwich issue, I didn’t even bother trying to get it fixed. Honestly, I feel bad for Joe & The Juice as a whole—this branch seriously needs some attention to improve both the quality of food and customer service.

Their sandwiches are disgusting.

I’m quite disappointed with my recent experience at Joe & The Juice in Watford. I was charged over £10 for an acai bowl that had a rotten banana and pineapple core instead of fresh pineapple. It’s hard to understand how a place with such a reputation can serve such subpar ingredients at such a high price. This was not what I expected, and it’s certainly not worth the cost. I hope this feedback helps improve their quality and service.

I usually love Joe and Juice but the service is here is awful - took 20mins to get a sandwich. Wont be coming back to this one.

This is literally my favourite place in the whole world best food place in Watford in my opinion 😻tunacaco is the best human idea to man kind. The staff where lovley kinda made me want to work there tbh and the music was chill 10/10 experience I reccomend 🫶🏼

Love Joe and the juice, but what an absolute bad service I received at Watford. The guy who prepared my food gave me the panini which had a tiny little slice of avocado, when I went over to tell them it wasn’t acceptable, one of the guys said they’ll do it again, the first guy prepared another and threw it on the counter desk and didn’t even call my name 10 mins late I approached the counter to be told the sandwich sitting there for the past 8 minutes was mine. It was cold and horrible, no apology from any of the staff members or empathy as they could see I am heavily pregnant. They made an error, I gave them a chance to rectify it but instead they made it worse.

Nice juices but really poor customer service

I went into the Watford branch - will never use this particular branch again I’m afraid - which is a shame. I travel a fair bit and like to keep healthy as unfortunately I have a disability which means I’m not able to afford to get unwell. The whole experience in - Watford - was a let down, the staff behaved in a rude manner - unfriendly and served me a very warm Juice. Staff behaving as if they’re at work doing the public a favour. No customer service - poor attitude - rude - unwelcoming and try to make customers feel bad. Not friendly or good atmosphere They refused cash from me, and insisted on card payments only, i have a disability and they completely ignored that. Two drinks - the smoothie was warm, and probably one of the most unpleasant drinks, it wasn’t made correctly and not thick enough for a smoothie. The staff have this attitude and think they’re better than their customers. I feel they need to be trained in customer care, support and how to be friendly and respectful - instead of focusing on themselves behaving in what comes across as pretentious and unnecessary behaviour. I would recommend they take a closer look at their customer reviews and see what the Public thinks. I like this company and St Albans is the best place to get a decent drink and they are incredibly helpful - I will be returning to St Albans branch, where they make delicious smoothies and the two girls helped me with my disability. Shame on you Watford - you’re letting down a very good company with your poor performance. I’m sorry to have to leave this slightly negative feedback, but it’s important that the management understand that franchises like Watford are giving their company a bad name. Perhaps they are unaware of this - but as I like Joe&the Juice, I would continue to use their services ( in a different location) I would like to mention the first experience we ever had of this company - was in Denmark at the airport. The service was amazing and so were the staff. U.K. staff in Watford - you could learn a lot from these people in that branch. Joe&the Juice is an excellent choice for a healthy meal, but I would avoid Watford at all costs. Try St Albans for a good experience.

Sandwiches were decidedly average, bread tasted like Ryvita. Smoothies were nice. Banana bread was missing from order (Just Eat have refunded me).

Shame it used to be a lovely place to sit and enjoy a coffee, now everything looks very used and tired. Not very clean. - coffee is still great and staff friendly and quick!

I go to Joe & The Juice all the time but this one in particular in Battersea is rubbish because of the customer service. Staff are a little rude and unhelpful.

The juices are very watery... Different of what they used to be. Old muffins Very disappointed. Probably the last visit.

HORRIFIC SERVICE - arrived at 5:30pm girl behind the counter was on her phone and guy was on the floor refilling stock I stood there for around 5 minutes not even taken notice of myself and then was advised they were shut even though they don’t shut until 6pm, all tables had rubbish on and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all day.

To concerned with online orders, queued for 10 mins not one person even acknowledged i was there. Staff to busy chatting in the back. 3 people left due to the lack of customer service. Near coffee shop got my custom, served within 1 minute.

I ordered 2 sandwiches and received only one your services lately leave much to be desired I want my money back

This was my first time trying Joe and the juice. The food and drink were so nice will definitely be ordering again

Drink was as expected. However for the price you pay you would expect staff to have a better attitude. Alot of the other customers commented on staff attitude being poor with a demeanor 'I am doing you a high favour' rather than how may we help. Unacceptable as we are paying a premium for the service and not asking for favour. Store was not busy, this was at 3pm. Alot of customers also commented on not returning to this branch as the service is not the usual standard for your company. Please address this

Over a hour late, missing my coffee, cold porridge and no straw

I was given a look of disgust from the guy serving me today. Once reluctantly taking my payment he walked off passing my order onto another staff member as he didn’t wish to finish it (it was empty when I was there) e.g, getting my name for my juice. I’ve never felt so unwelcome. Please take things like this seriously, there seems to be a theme of mean staff members who have deep rooted biases if you don’t fit their expectations of who they think should be a customer. Very interesting. It was like he was annoyed I was even there…

Due to religious reasons, we don’t eat ham and wrong order with only a ham sandwich has been delivered. None of the sandwiches we ordered came. Tried ringing Joe & Juice but no one picked up. Horrible service from them.

Ordered two tuna sandwiches and one came and it tasted cold and stale

Delivered 1 hour 20+ mins after ordering. Delivery driver was driving around for almost an hour before finally delivering food freezing cold.

I regularly buy Joe & the Juice, but the drink arrived over half an hour late and by that time the drinks were ruined because the ingredients had all separated.

Great juice options and all are fresh except for certain fruits which are normally kept in the freezer as not in season.

Worst service ever. The guy has no idea how to communicate and passed me a ripped back with the ginger shot open that has leaked all over my food and on my shop floor. First and last.

Over priced £3.10 for hot water and tea bag!

Pretty disinterested staff. Just leave your order on the side with a brief shout of your name. Which might work if a lot of the seating wasn't behind the serving counter. I only knew my order was ready because I went looking because it had been so long. Drinks not all that and not cheap Much better alternatives nearby

Waited over an hour to be told delivered having spent £30 nothing came

I received a call one hour after I ordered to be told the wifi was down so I needed to tell them my order so they could make it as the driver had turned up and they didn’t have my order. Appalling service and the juice has spilt everywhere from being on the motorbike once it finally showed up an hour and a half after I made the order!! Never again!!! £16 for a juice and sandwhich!

Delivered correctly and on time, and we'll packed.

Initially had a good experience at this branch however, I had a spicy tuna and the bread was proper stale. It didn't justify for the amount I paid for. Plus avoshake took a while to prepare & had to chase for it. There was no apology or anything once handed over to me. A shame really, it's gone a bit down in the recent months!

Turmeric shot was good but the main juice I ordered neatrly £8 was bitter and gave me tummy issues. I’m regular juice drinking person. Thank you

The app wasn’t updated so didn’t have the item I asked for. They called to ask if I would like something different which I gave and still ended up with the wrong thing. Bit disappointing. Juice was lovely though.

I’m a big fan of Joe & the juice and this one is starting to become one my favourite store but there’s always new staff and it’s best to always explain exactly what you want and how you want it, you want more tuna, ask for it, you want extra avocado, ask for it, don’t assume anything here. Add the extra money if you have to, yes it’s expensive to pay £12 for a tuna sandwich but it is good.

Terrible, food arrived late and driver dropped it on the floor ! I couldn't eat any of it, had to order again

Sad looking place, obviously not enough staff as all tables are dirty and floor is dirty cups left everywhere I was left cleaning my own table. I love jo and the juice but this one is depressing took over 15 mins for a sandwich and drink which by the way the cafe was empty so unsure why it took this long Got my sandwich and a drink which cost £14 there was hardly anything in it very disappointing

I ordered a sweet pineapple juice I always have, and they sent me a brown blended up cucumber juice, wttff?

The juice I had which is called pick me up, definitely did what it was called! Absolutely lovely and fresh tasting, I will 100% come back here again!

Frustrating not to receive a straw with the juice

25 mins late. Delivery driver v nice and apologetic for delay Sandwich v nice Bag delivered wet and falling apart where juice has leaked Threw juice away , really thin and watery

The sandwich barely had anything inside of it. The shot was not properly sealed so the bag was all wet inside including the food. The app said the driver had been at the restaurant ready to pick up my order for over an hour.

Very nice products and service but the environment needs upgrading

1 star because the staff just did not listen and the drink was just ok, equivalent to an Aldi cold press not a freshly made drink. I went on a Thursday around 11, it was very quiet. When I ordered my drink he pushed for and demanded my name. I kindly explained I wasn't going anywhere, no-one else was in the queue, it was not busy at all. I gave him my name and he handed it straight over. Very awkward and not a nice experience. I purchased a sports juice without bits as my daughter didn't want bit's. It had bits and by that time she didn't want it to be fixed.

Food is delicious Staff are friendly and welcoming especially the girl with loud voice, she gives the place a special vibes Prices are like every other place in London Avoshake is delicious and the tunacado is well made and it has the same quality everytime!

Visited yesterday, 25th Jan and was beyond disappointed. Coffee machine out order, no dairy milk and no soya milk. Had to order a decaf oat latte. To be fair the coffee was better than expected but expectations were low! I’ve had sandwiches there many times before but yesterdays put me off for good. The turkey was dry like it had been left out, the mozzarella all mushed up, a slab of tomato and no pesto whatsoever. I should have taken a photo to post. However, there was something greasy and non-descript on the bread which was like an oil slick. I binned it, resentfully after costing nearly £10 for those 2 items. The one girl working seemed inexperienced and no one was there to back her up. The prep area that used to always look clean, looked untidy and messy. I spoke to 2 ladies who had also ordered sandwiches and they too said that they were unpleasant; should have gone to Costa! I did politely give feedback to the girl but she didn’t give a hoot. Lastly, to the lady who mentioned in a previous review about the unsafe flooring, nothing has changed. I used to like going to JATJ, the sandwiches and coffee were always a bit of a treat. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere from now on and so will the other 5 ppl in my household.

I had the most amazing strawberry and banana shake served by the lovely Miar. Such a friendly girl and has a beautiful smile great service too. Xxxx

Came today on my lunch break to find that the store hadn’t been open yet due to the manager known as Sam not showing up… really disappointed as it was past 11am

I won’t stop by anymore. The location is not good in the middle of the mall, there isn’t the good vibe with the music like at other branches. Also the staff keep screaming customers names in this large echoing hall, so the experience gets nearly stressful if you decide to eat in.

09-01-2023 I went there with my daughter there was 3 staff 1 boy doing nothing 2 girls one was working one other girl was screaming like crazy dancing and singing but really loud and really another voice I asked her please to don’t be so loud we ordered food was so expensive 2 sandwiches and 2 small drinks over £23 but the have put half kilo salt in the sandwiches I have never eaten salty food like that I asked them the screaming girl said she add salt i am sure she did that on purpose I don’t recommend this place at all , also all tables and floor was really dirty

Just went here at 5.45pm and they say they're closed. But online they close at 6pm.

Went there for a smoothie got welcomed by a lovely staff who was welcoming and very friendly and outgoing, I was lost on what to order but got recommended to get the strawberry smoothie was a long wait and bit pricey but was enjoyable

Here now. Coffe machine not working. Staff not very nice. The floor is very dirty & the floor also bubbling up from the surface. Unsafe, especially for children.

Super disappointed with this branch of Joe and the Juice. 1. For the devout vegetarians and vegans out there, you should know that this branch does not change its chopping board or utensils when handling the fish or poultry products. This is extremely disappointing for a company that prides itself in offering vegan options…..more like cross contaminated options. 2. 3 out of 5 times, staff are rude and ignore you whilst you wait to order. Is it a power thing? All they seem to do is have a chat with their colleague, so nothing really important keeping them from taking your order and that of the queue building up behind you. Is there a need to be so rude? 3. Staff here seem genuinely unhappy to be working here, they are always frowning or angry, almost disgusted at seeing a customer queue up. Such a shame

Went there yesterday for a drink for me and my son, got greeted by a young lady who I mostly see when I walk past, was very cheerful informed us that they couldn’t make any juices that contained apple, instead we went for a shake one power shake and one avocado shake which was on the pricey side, but we both enjoyed it on our way out she said merry Christmas and have a lovely day, was very sweet

Rude employees and not clean place to visit

Rude staff, very unprofessional and uncaring.

The restaurant although busy was filthy dirty. All the tables were grubby and hadn’t been cleared. Indeed people were having to clear a table to be able to eat and drink. I was at your Battersea Power Station store recently and what a pleasure. Sadly, the managers and regional team need to get back to basics and sort this location before someone goes down with food poisoning

Had very good experience lady who served me was very jolly and very friendly recommended the power shake for my daughter very good welcoming staff who made my experience at Watford good would be coming back again

Let me tell you about my experience today...I ordered, paid and the guy behind the till took my name. When my sandwich was ready, the girl who made my sandwich shouted my name (incorrectly I may add) laughed and then shouted it again. I was sat not 2 metres away from her and she was looking directly at me whilst she did this. I asked her why she's shouting and she grinned and shouted my name (incorrectly) again. I have an African name which isn't hard to pronounce if it was spelt correctly. It was incredibly disrespectful for her to shout my name (incorrectly) and laugh whilst she did so. She could see that I was upset. Her colleague even told her to be tone it down/be quieter. She continued to grin and think it was all a joke. I received no apology. This is DISGUSTING behaviour and another example of why someone like me who doesn't have a typical "english" name will give a fake name as not to encounter a person like her. Do better.

We were there today (Watford Atria) but the customer service was BAD/ZERO! The staffs were talking with each other, completely ignorant of the customer they were serving! I hope they are reminded every now & then that Politeness & a smile wouldn’t hurt anyone!

£6.00 takeaway (£6.70 if eaten in) Serrano sandwich. Slice of ham, slice of tomato (not even sure if that was one slice), some mozzarella, pesto from the jar and little bit of rotten avocado (yes rotten). All this on a mega thin slice of bread. The whole sandwich was approx. 1cm thick (same thickness as folded pancake). Pathetic, and an absolute joke - it went straight into the bin ! The management will have an excuse but just read their reviews. They clearly don’t care and despite awful reviews, their service and products haven’t improved. Lastly, Mr. Owner, please don’t ask me to contact you on your customer service’s email address. I would suggest that you try and dedicate your time to improving your service and products rather than replying that you’re sorry …🙂

Disappointed of most of the products,first the ice late one of the worst that I have ever taste,the sandwiches 10 for aspect 3 for taste the only good are the shakes and naturale juice.

The young lady who served me kept making a point to me that the juices were expensive as she looked me up and down repeatedly, yes I may not have been dressed like a posh person but never judge a book by its cover, I had to keep telling her the price didn’t matter. Not a very nice experience

Service wasn’t as great as I’ve experienced in the past sadly I was stood in queue whilst three members of staff chatted and joked amongst themselves seconds shy of serving customer in front of me When I was eventually greeted, my server then gave me an obvious explanation of the signature juices having more ingredients than regular juices as a recommendation?? I chose joe’s identity and just tasted like green water🙈 not sure if I was supposed to add ginger for some or any kind of kick but the £7.80 was a definite waste

Love the food here and the juices and coffee are fab. Bit pricey but worth it. I come at least twice a week and the sandwiches fill me up all day

Tried to get a "healthy" drink early morning on Christmas Eve, didnt bother in the end at 8:55am people don't need "soul funk" music blasted at them ! Turn it down or off ffs Perhaps Christmas music would help custom !

Decent selection of smoothies, coffees and juices. Little bit pricey but not more than other similar places. Maybe increase the size of regular size cup 😛
