Booked a table to watch the rugby (Wales v Italy). Couldn't have asked for a better place. We were given a few options of tables. Staff were lovely Great pub. Sport on TV, darts board, pool table, phone chargers, beer garden. 1 min walk from Atria Shopping Centre.

Really great pub with lovely staff. We have had a couple of work events here now and they cater for us so well. Phil the manager is brill and can't do enough for us all. Many of us live far and travel to the office for special occasions, but this is our Go-to pub now as it's clean, great atmosphere and everyone is so nice! Thanks again!

As a first-time visitor to the Estcourt Tavern, I enjoyed the warm and inviting atmosphere. We have been on Sunday, as my friends, a family from Italy, came over in Watford. They asked for a Sunday Roast, and Estcourt Tavern was recommended. Now I know why: it’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel special. For an authentic taste of England, head to the Estcourt Tavern.

For all you see including a water, another plate of chips, and all drinks was 40 pound. Would return. Food was hot, cooked well.

Bit weary at first as the pub is located down a side street just across from the shopping centre, but we were all pleasantly surprised by this place The pub was lovely and clean, the girl that was serving behind the bar was very welcoming and friendly, the food was brilliant, and we thought it was reasonably priced (when compared to some other pubs) - we live in Luton, but might return here whenever we need to do some shopping in future The open camembert and prosciuttio sandwich was huge and delicious, the battered halloumi was the best I've ever had, and the portion size is very generous Please don't change anything about this pub, it's perfect as it is

This is my favorite go-to place, but honestly, I've not seen such friendly staff (incl. Phil, Laura, Matt, Kelly, etc) anywhere else in the UK in my last 12 months in this country. Everything is so perfect in this tavern! Be it watching live sports (with multiple screens in their huge indoor space) or playing a game of Pool or Dart! I've traveled and lived in 8 countries in the last 5 years, and I can't think of any other place that gave me this kind of experience! So a BIG thanks to you all! 🙂

Phil pub manager and his team are amazing and Phil and team are aiming for the best experience for every customer that walk through door? Quite often people always are using these sites for negative views ? Rather than constructive feedback ? So I feel a praise 👏 is necessary my experience and my friends play pool and watch football ⚽️ service is fast? And drink s and selection is quality and non experience? I haven't eaten here but seen and friends have eaten he had the Sunday roast he said amazing and affordable and high standards? So once again well done 👏 and carry on doing by just giving customer s amzing experience

Stopped off here for lunch with family members, and the dog. Food was good tasty pub grub and staff were friendly and attentive. The live football coverage was perhaps a little loud, but we were right next to a speaker. Otherwise, great!

Spent an enjoyable afternoon/evening here with family. The staff (Tom and Laura) were very pleasant and attentive, the food was good and the atmosphere great. Definitely somewhere we will revisit.

The girls were friendly and super attentive. The selection of food was very different to traditional pub grub, but totally worth it. The wine (3 pebbles Bay zinfandel) was delicious-will definitely be ordering some when it's back in stock! Overall a lovely pub for a chilled evening meal.

Great place to enjoy whit friend, service is not the best they no have table service and no app to order food o drinks you need to go to the bar every drink. Food is just OK nothing especial I think I can do better food whit my eyes closed. The ambiente it's just ok I think they need to do something to atract young people to site to be more active and nice place. Like competitions or similar plays etc.. I go to return again but these place can be 100 tines better! Aah chicken mising 15min more to have crispy skink and its nice if place Lear how to use the salt.

Really friendly and so helpfully had my son's chrisening meal here and it was brilliant.

Fantastic service, and delicious food. Menu is simple and not over ranged, whilst still offering a great variety. Never let down by the quality whenever I've visited, and the establishment is of a clean & tidy environment. Highly recommended for a pub visit.

It does feel more of a dining pub here but the bar staff are certainly friendly and chatty, making you feel welcome if you aren’t eating. Atmosphere is alright, everywhere clean and the range on offer is good with decent prices. I’d happily return.

Popped in last night around 8:30 I like to enjoy a nice pint on my own after work Tried the scrum down Was poured perfectly And it was even recommended by the lovely bar lady with the black hair & lovely lashes ! Toilets nice and clean , overall clean pub Shame the kitchen closes so early Would’ve purchased some food Only thing that let my experience down but i was offered some bar snacks instead And the lady who served me was apologetic after seeing i was gutted about not being able to order food Be nice if they actually had some live music nights in here , seems like the lanlord doesnt want to put anything together for a good night in here ? Came in last night for some food and drinks with my family , had a lovely experience, food was cooked to perfection All came out on time , and our desserts were the best of all . A really top quality friendly pub who welcome you with open arms and a smile. Plenty of space with tvs dotted around the pub so that you can watch sport ! Drinks are a variety that will slate any thirst and it’s not over priced . They really made us all feel welcome and that’s all you want from a pub.

Nice friendly staff who provide a good service for a packed pub on a Saturday. It is a decent pub. It shows football and has food. The food is presented very well and the food is average. I recommend tasting the small plates though, especially the crispy squid and battered halloumi.

First time visiting this lovely pub it really was very nice. Cannot fault anything. Food was tasty which all 5 of us enjoyed, so pass thanks on to the Chef. Staff friendly and welcoming and the suggestions on the desserts were spot on. The gentleman and the lady that were on the bar were friendly and we did not feel rushed at any stage. All in all thanks to all the staff. We will be back again soon.

Was recommended this place by a local friend, and she was not wrong! Excellent food, especially as a vegan the options were plentiful and appetising (had the beyond meat burger which was delicious) The staff were really friendly and helpful, the pub environment itself was relaxed and inviting. Recently met up with family here for a meal and a few drinks. Wonderful traditional pub, lovely decor, nice menu with plenty to choose from. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. Defo will be back next time am in Watford.

This is one of our local pubs, and after a lengthy closure due to the pandemic the Estcourt has re-opened under new management. This really is a hidden gem of Watford! The new manager had revamped the place with an excellent gin selection, and some decent real ales on tap which change regularly. The new menu however is excellent - compliments to the chef. Definitely a pub we’ll keep coming back to!

Sat and had a really nice burger. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is good, felt chilled without being to quiet.

Been in a couple of times recently Seems to be a new management team, which has transformed the pub. Much busier than before, decent beer, food is good also. Caters for all groups (Inc families) and has a really nice vibe again.

We had a great time this afternoon. We all know due to COVID-19 it is a difficult time but we felt very safe in the pub. Must say we have been waiting a long long time for this place to re-open. I can honestly say that we felt warm cosy and most of safe here. It was so much fun to see the regular faces again and the friendly staff. As always the drinks were well priced and the food was lovely. We usually go out for christmas day dinner but have never really been blown away. We thought we would give the Estcourt a try this year and I can honestly say this is by far the best place I have ever been to. We booked a table of 10, 7 adults and 3 kids. The manger was very welcoming and was very helpful. Our food was served swiftly. No one on the table went home hungry as the portions were generous, and the turkey wasnt dry. Over all ther service was amazing and our waitress mel was lovely. Defiently returning next year and highly recommened!!

Absolutely wonderful! Came here for Christmas lunch with my mum, we stuffed up our order and they were so wonderfully helpful, friendly and accommodating.The food was delicious! The turkey was cooked to perfection, with plenty of tasty sides! Just spent a fantastic afternoon here for Christmas lunch. We were greeted by the owners warmly and made to feel very welcome . We made our booking from Australia , so we had no real expectation. Great choice! The atmosphere is terrific. The soup was lovely, great texture and dept of flavour. Mains arrived and we were served a more than generous helping. The turkey was cooked to perfection, moist and sliced with a butter knife. A great selection of sides accompanied. We selected the traditional pudding and we were not disappointed. All round a great meal. I would certainly recommend this warm, welcoming pub. Their are various ales to choose from along with a well stocked bar and lovely bar staff

We were meeting some friends before the game and despite the fact they don’t usually serve the festive menu on game day, they were really accommodating after we had already paid our deposit on the website. Lewis and team were great and set up the table for us. The food was delicious with VERY generous portions at low cost. We love watching the football here! Great festive beers too.

My local pub and the staff are always very accommodating, knowledgable about the menu and make you feel instantly welcome! Would recommend to anyone! Very nice to our dog and vegan friendly.

Our daughter has moved to Watford recently and there are a few choices close by but this is our favourite by far. Food is good quality and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly and even make our dog welcome. We look forward to coming here when visiting.

The new Manager has really turned this place around. Great pub to drink at before the football and atmosphere is brilliant.

Came at the beginning of the year.... and what a difference a few months make! Didn’t eat but the food coming from the kitchen made me wish I had!! Perfect IPA, friendly staff and a happy manager. Obviously working as the customers seemed happier and friendly! Will be returning!

Since the new manager has been in myself and friends have notice a decline in both atmosphere and customers. We barely see the manager if there is one at all. The food gone down hill if and when you can get what you want.the staff so high we new faces all the time. The only saving grace this pub has is blonde bar staff as she both friendly welcoming and professional. Wouldn't advise people myself.

As the new football season has started we were worried we would have to look for a new place to drink before and after the game as last year was very disappointed with the Estcourt. However new management team in place, things have most definitely changed for the better! Served quickly at the bar, food served quickly hot and tasty. Good friendly vibe and atmosphere. Looking forward to our Saturday visits!

Having had quite a few meals here, have to say this place has gone down hill over the last few months. The selection from the menu is hit and miss with half of what you ask not available, the service has got slower and the place needs refurbishing as tired. The gents toilets is something else, hold your breath and cover your eyes as it smells awful and you feel like wiping your shoes when you come out. Its such a same as used to be a great place to go

I used to visit the Escourt Tavern on a weekly basis due to working very locally and its safe to say I will never be going again for food.

The previous landlord did a great job making everyone feel welcome (including dogs)

Lacks atmosphere and service is slow, wouldn't rush back feels dated As well, this pub is next door to another and I would use the other, has a better garden and vibe.

In Watford for business, so popped into a few real ale pubs and this was by far the best of those I visited.

Unfortunately didn't get a photo. Went here today 11/05/2019 met up with family for a lunch. 4 of the meals were wrong to which we had no apologie. My partner ordered a cheese burger with no onion and got a bacon burger with onion. My sister ordered a bacon burger with onion rings. Onion rings didn't come. After complaining we eventually got a portion. Her partner ordered a pie with chips. He received mash with jo apologie. He ate about half of it. Meat wasnt very nice. I ordered a platter 2 sliders, chips, chicken wings and fish goujons. The sliders was literally processed meat, hard, and looked really disgusting. I just looked at it and sent it back. We were waiting a full hour and a half for wveryones food to arrive. Most people had nearly finished by the time mine came. I sent it back asked for refund which I be grudgingly received. The staff were rude and not helpful and didn't seem to understand why this shambles of a meal was being sent back. We had a 1 year old baby who was restless after waiting over an hour for mash peas and fish fingers. Will never ever set foot in this shambles of an establishment again.

OK, so not the normal time for a family meal. Pub was busy but food came within a reasonable time. Good quality and hood portions served. Attentive staff and certainly an improvement on the last visit around 6 months ago. Nice varied menu at a reasonable price.

I used this pub’s booking form online and it stated that a member of staff would contact me to confirm the table. As this never happened I rang the pub directly. A woman answered and as I was explaining the situation she put the phone down on me! I rang again and the answerphone kicked in . Even if she was busy she could have asked me to ring back. Completely rude and unacceptable behaviour - will never visit!

So the beer is great (can't go wrong with Greene King), the food is great, good simple pub food, no slates, no messing, just good honest food.

The Christmas menu was great, the pub did look really festive, the staff were very pleasant, I would recommend!
