Lovely chicken shish kebab really fresh always consistent

I would give it a -1020202 if I could the food was disgusting i ate a lot after it so that the food could leave my mouth but it didn’t the kebab tasted raw and had a fishy smell it was as if someone farted on the meat and served it in grease which then also covered all of the chips which then they also tasted like fish if I wanted fish I’d order fish but I wanted kebab i work in a food PLAVE so I’d never write something bad even if someone held a gun in my head but In this occasion I had to , I spent 8.50 on it (my friend payed for me so I DDINT ) but still it was gross I’ve seen the rest of the reviews so Ik it’s not in my head I love fast food and I’ll eat any takeouts or restaurant food but this put me off kebabs for like a good ndxt 100 years , avoid this place they scam you and serve you fish flavoured kebab

Went there with my daughter this is the worst kebab I eat in my life , the bread was burn the taste of the meat it’s awful ! Don’t recommend this place at all .

This has to be the most disgusting 🫣 food ever, place was empty, very cold 🥶 ordered a takeaway which was awful, ordered a kebab which turned into a wrap was wrapped in the cheapest fall apart foil ever which was so thin was stuck all over the food, no taste to the chicken or lamb and salad was mush, staff unfriendly, left with my cheap foil wrap in a small plastic see through bag size of a small handbag. Would seriously avoid this place, should be shut down.

I recently tried Woody Express in Watford and was impressed with their chicken nuggets and Donna meat with cheese. The flavors were rich, and the texture was just right. Ali provided excellent customer service, enhancing the overall dining experience. I highly recommend it for a tasty treat with top-notch service!

This was by far the worst family restaurant meal we had , the lady waitress was not even interested at all in serving us she was very miserable we and unfriendly,, we ordered the platter, the lamb done was cold , i asked her to replace it , she very very rude about taking it away, she came with a plate and took the cold away and just out it in the flat grill amd bought it back, it was now dark, byrnt and very crispy, doner is sulposed to be soft and tender to eat but this was the worst i ever had , we could not eat it as it was hard , other restaurants in watford much better , we go every sunday as a family , this is the only bad review i have written to worn other sof the bad food and service, i tryed to complain at the end to the manager but he wasn’t interested, no wonder this was empty, AVOID AND GO TO THE OTHERS AROUND MUCH BETTER.

Do not eat here. I am tempted to submit an official complaint via the Citizens Advice website as this takeaway is clearly fraudulently taking advantage of customers that are clearly drunk after a night out. They are charging over the advertised prices (without extras). When you question them, they ignore you. I saw a number of patrons that paid the extra price because they were drunk and hungry. I questioned workers there and was told to accept the prices. Moreover, as I am on a strict diet, I only wanted meat. Now ordinarily you'd expect a kebab place would be able to serve just doner meat, but apparently, it has to come with chips or salad. It's as if I were trapped in the Matrix and these AI robots could not compute taking an order that didn't strictly adhere to their official menu: "Doner only comes with chips, salad or wrap!" And, to rub salt and garlic sauce into the wound, the cost has to be ABOVE the advertised price, not below the advertised price as you'd expect without the chips (if they were to entertain such a novel menu change). There were people waiting for long periods of time, and others that were not happy with the doneness of their meat. Judging by the other comments, I am not alone in thinking that it is a wonder they're still open. I guess their typical drunk clientele are literally out of their senses and this helps keep them afloat. Word of advice... keep walking down the High Street to other establishments, or even make a left next to the Palace and you'll find another kebab place to satisfy your unhealthy urge to have a kebab after a night out drinking.

They accept a order during the night, but never deliver it. Please avoid!

Visited after a night out and witnessed price changes placed on customers who were clearly drunk and told this was for extras that weren't advertised. I ordered a burger which was ok but the chips with it were really crispy and obviously had been re cooked. Also grabbed chicken nuggets that were overcooked and ready rather quickly which also makes me think they were cooked already and just heated up, explains why they were dry. I won't be going back and shame to say I was sober so will remember the food.

If there was a 0 star I would have placed that. Worst kebab takeaway place I've ever had custom with. THAT TAKE THE PISS OUT OF ITS CUSTOMERS 100% RIPOFF!! Cant take clear instructions and in detail of what choices you've chosen in your orders u place. Instead they choose what your having an your given something completely different half portioned sized not cooked correctly , presented unsellable to give to a customer even a dog couldnt eat. Then when u challenge them in order to get 100% custom to have order rectified or compensated. they ignore calls block further calling an make u end up going to store to then have one of their people become abusive disrespectful and act in a violently aggressive manner. And then they still refuse to resolve any mistakes they have made in any part of your order. And do not give correct costumer service the customer expects an doesn't ever accept giving you what you have payed for. Suggest keep hold of your money go somewhere else these people deserve to be shut down!! They are dirty crooks , unprofessional disgusting attitude an service.

Ordered a chicken kebab with chips which was advertised as £8.50 but was charged £10 when paying by card/contactless. When questioned the price difference I was told this was extra £1.50 for salad. The guy a little bit later then said 'why so upset my friend' which I again explained I was overcharged. Food was good but the guy serving took his opportunity to make a little bit extra. I'd had a few drinks before this so didn't care much too much and just wanted a kebab but rightly called him out for taking the piss. My recommendation is to go GDK (German Donor Kebab) which is about 20 yards away in the main town centre for a better quality kebab for a similar price.

First of all friend order and the guy try to make her pay 10£ more for nothing and he refused to give her a receipt , we understand that is a store but you should make the customers aware for paying more for extra garlic sauce in a burger . I go in this place at least once a week and the service is fine but I don’t really know what happened this time .

First they charge me 28£ and when i ask about receipt they change them mind they charged me 18£ and they don’t I’ve make my food

Me and my family dine here last Sunday.We order a variety of food such as pizza,calamari pasta,Greek salads, chicken shish and okra soup. The food was very well cooked ,tasty and freshly.The children enjoyed the pizza as the dough was tasty and very thin as they like it. The calamari pasta was surprising us with the pasta corectly cooked and enough sauce for the amount of pasta. The staff was very nice and friendly The only thing that we didn't like was the outside tables, wich we stayed, that are old and not very well looking.I think that this need to be changed,repainted or cover with something. Overall we enjoyed the dinner as the food was made for ours tastes.

Really bad , no way near the quality the other restaurant on lower high street used to do. Small portions. Meat was old and clearly been sitting there for while precooked. We were shocked to see the portions , no sides like hummus and all the extras, pitta bread given instead and plain boiled rice . All the food was horrible , hugely disappointed with this restaurant considering the name and quality we used to expect . Seriously go to the other Turkish restaurants and avoid this one

Casual, chilled, relaxing environment for a delicious meal. Friendly and helpful staff and great prices. Definitely coming back here and highly recommend this restaurant for a place to have important conversations in a quiet and comfortable environment. Fresh salad and delicious mixed kebab.

Spent £49 through Ubers eats, my meal came with rice instead of salad that it states on the menu, also complete waste is the portion of rice I ordered because the meal was meant to come with salad instead of rice! Requested medium rare meat and it came black and burnt! Never have I ever write a bad review as I am a business owner but the quality was outrageous and the food went in the bin, complete waste of money and won’t pick up the phone Trying to attach pictures

Ordered via Uber eats and the food was disgusting. The kebab was hard and crusty and the chips was greasy and old tasting. I was so disappointed. The worst kebab I have ever had. I have gone out of my way to write this review in hopes that they never send the scraps to people cos I know for sure that if I came into the shop,they would never serve me such food and get away with it. I had soo much oil in my food,I could make a meal for a family of four and still have some oil left over. Utter rubbish

Ordered a shish kebab, tasted great and good service however woke up at 4am and was violently sick. My friend i ordered with wasnt well after their kebab either.

My usual Turkish was closed for refurb so I thought I’d try this place …. But how disappointed I was! I ordered a Woodys special and picked it up. Got home and opened it only to disappointed before even eating anything. There was minimal meat and the plain white rice isn’t what was expected, I expected proper bulgar rice but got plain white rice. The worst part was the lamb and chicken doner, something that my kids normally love! This doner was disgusting! Especially the lamb doner! The worst I have ever tasted - my kids tried it and said the same! Most of it went in the bin! By far the worst doner I have ever tasted! Never going back to this place again! See pictures of doner - they look like pigs ears!

doner meat chips cost me £10 the portion of food was so small money wasted will not be coming back only used as my local Viking fish & chips was closed so thought give these guys a try and it was disappointing.

Great taste and value for money

Great portion of Doner, we always share it with my wife. We like the seasoning and the sauces a lot. When asked, they always put the bread separately for my gluten allergic wife who never had any issues after eating here. We love coming back / ordering for delivery from time to time.

Nice guys, but the food was a bit soggy and rank (especially for the price) and I paid for it again BADLY in another way the day after.

Really Bad Service I ordered food at about 10.30 But no one turned up, I called back at 11.30 and was told The food was on its way No One turned up. I called back 12.30 to cancel the food but the the man that answered Said they were very sorry and my order should be with me Very Soon. I waited until 1.30 No Turned Up. I will never order from here again.

Worst take away I've ever had, complete waste of time and money. Chips overcooked and dry, lamb shish didn't taste like lamb meat, burgers soggy and drenched in soggy lettuce with mayo, onion rings overcooked. A terrible experience so please don't bother! Not at all like other Woodys in London.

Yesterday we stop at this restaurant. While waiting for table short fat man came without any expression on his face nit greeting nothing and say" only with reservatiion". No any manner at all. Worse food ever. Don't waste your time . Ordered lamb chops. He took them out of a frozen bag. The mixed grill was tiny.im sure it was missing chicken tikka. They had no rice or 1.5ltr drinks bottles. Poor quality and presentation. Wasted £40

A small restaurant that serves great lunch options. Since the close down of woody grill on lower high street, visited this place. It has very few indoor seating (and a few outdoor option too). I usually go for chicken donor with salad.

Excellent little place for shawarmas & chip rolls! Love their chilli & garlic sauce . I frequent this place a bit & enjoy their fare. They only take cash though!

I ordred woddy special .they dont have rice instead of rice they said we will give you extra donner .which I didnot get .instead of Turkish bread They gave me Pitta bread .pitta was cold .Lamb donner was dry .it's better you close this shop .if you can't give us fresh food .what we pay to you .Totally embrasement infront of friends.. This place is terrible! I live in oxhey and ordered my food for delivery at 12.15, i then rang the resteraunt to ask where my order was at 13.05 (time of delivery) and he said 30 mins have been added! So at 13.35 i rang to see where my food was and he told me the food was outside my door! I checked and noone was there, so I rang the resteraunt back and the person on the other end of the phone hung up on me..my food arrived at 1.45! The burgers were hard, the chips were cold! Will defiantly 100% not be ordering here again and will not recommend this place! P.s guy on the phone needs customer service skills as he was as rude as anyanything
