Fuimos hoy aquí con los compañeros de trabajo. Hay una habilidad para hacer cócteles y uno que el personal todavía aprender. Son caras en £9 + e incluso en 2 por 1, simplemente porque no estás bien y imbebible. Pedí probablemente el más sencillo de hacer. . Un Kir Royale, era tan malo que tenía que tener que mezclado con agua de soda sólo para el añadido más Kir daba asco.

No, lo siento ya nombrado Yates no recuerdo el nuevo nombre. Ha tenido una renovación genial, moderno y de moda, un montón de asientos cómodos, un montón de televisores alrededor y unos precios muy competitivos (dando Wethers por dinero). No comer, pero el menú parecía muy buena, y de nuevo a precios muy competitivos. La comida que la gente tenía en las mesas cercanas parecía excelente. La visita de un jueves por la noche para las bebidas con un colega y fue una agradable multitud no demasiado concurrido.

This venue has now been updated,food is good,reasonable prices and very good service,situated at the top end of Watford High st,(the Parade)there is often entertainment going on outside,themed to the seasons of the year,An ice rink is usually installed in winter months which seems to be very popular,I am not sure whether there is a charge for this,but summer entertainment is free and if you are lucky you could get a window seat in Bosley's and watch the events while you eat

This pub is like a bad joke. On normal Saturdays if you I no ID they will not let you in. But if its a Watford at home day Saturday or evening they will let 5 year old kids in. You work it out.

Pensaba que iba a tener un tarro o 2 en el camino a casa. Así que pensé que podría aparecer por Yates. Llegamos a la puerta y el portero me piden identificación. He dicho que son reír soy 50 no 15. Io e la mia ragazza siamo andati a watford per un giro e ci siamo imbattuti in questo pub, siamo stati attirati dai prezzi davvero chip e abbiamo deciso di prendere un paio di birre e un piatto to share con un po di tutto, anche dei piccoli burgher.

Yates ofrecen comidas de venta de enero donde 5 comidas que sirven son sólo 2,99 libras cada uno. ganga!

Sconsigliato per andare a mangiare dati i prezzi molto più alti rispetto agli altri pub che si possono trovare su high street! Per il resto pub molto tranquillo!

Called in to Yates before seeing a show. Only 1 member of staff behind bar. Tables dirty and not cleared. Toilets for both men and women were a disgrace. Food served was very bland. The whole place need a complete makeover .

Went out the other night. Food was quality, atmoshpere was brilliant and the manager Ross was a legend, was such a nice bloke. Really helpful and seen to all our requests. Next time I'm in Watford I'll definitely be coming back, would recommend to anyone for a good night and good pub grub.

That is literally the only plus of Yates. It's the only place where the beer garden actually has sun. Everything else is terrible. The staff don't know how to make cocktails, it's always unclean and the food is terrible. They also charge way too much!!!! Terrible

It's just a horrible place, full of loud, aggressively posturing people.Then again, it's Watford Town Centre, so what do you expect

Three of us visiting Watford to see a show at the Colesseum. Popped into Yates's for a pre-show quick bite to eat. Meals chosen, ordered & paid for only to be then told "no potatoe skins & no gammon" This effected two out of our three meals! As we had paid & didn't have a huge amount of time we made adjustments to our selection and waited for the food to arrive. It was delivered to our table and looked most unappetizing. Some food looked very dark and overcooked. My mixed grill came with an egg. It can only be described as a flat white thing, with a dash of yellow in the centre.Clearly burst then overcooked, resembling rubber! I rejected the egg immediately and asked for a replacement which never came!! One of the other diners had potatoe wedges that were cremated. The advertised Cumberland sausage was not! It was a cheap alternative.Dips didn't arrive with our meal and had to be requested even though they formed part of the description. I could go on but I think you will get the message by now. If I visit the area again I will walk a little further up the street where I now know there are many more places to eat.

Popped in on June 21st 2015 with 3 friends after dancing at Watford Live, Not impressed, Waited 10 minutes to be served, very slow. Latte nearly cold, My friends Tea came with not enough water. Waited nearly half an hour for a dessert. will not be going again.

Sat outside in the sunshine. drank prosecco with friends (£11 a bottle), whats not to like? OK we were in Watford and not Cornwall but cant complain at the prices.

Very friendly staff, lovely hot big breakfast including large coffee nice and hot too for under a fiver :)

This is the chav central pub in Watford, it's cheap, decent sitting area but the dance floor is swarmed with chavs. Bar staff are polite, bouncers are bit heavy handed.

Have Visited this Pub a number of times and always found the staff and Service first class the food and drink always fresh and as it should be the portions good size the selection of adult meals and childrens meals at £1.99 are fantastic value also the special offers of 2 adult meals for £7.49 are unbeatable we take our grandchildren here and they love it

I'd be here all day if I wrote about how bad this place is. Let me make things as brief as possible. Security team seemed welcoming at first and let me in without any trouble. The bar staff were also efficient and friendly and the DJ played good music. What disgusted me was the fact I only had a few drinks and decided to dance around a lot, and the bouncers decided to eject me as they thought I was heavily intoxicated (which I was not). My friends who were with me protested against this to no avail. What was even more insulting was they tried to make me leave without my jacket and after some negotiation I was escorted back in to get my jacket and then rushed out like I was an inconvenience. Yes. Rushed out so quickly they basically pushed me through other people. I did receive an apology for this misunderstanding from the management later but to this day I still have not gotten over this embarrassing experience. Because since this happened I have been very paranoid about going out anywhere to have a bit of a dance with just a few drinks. So as my title says, if you want to enjoy a good night out. Avoid this venue. I am not being bitter. It's just my self-confidence has been broken since this happened to me.

cheap and cheerful pub meals, 2 meals for £7.45, bargain, ok for lunches to break up retail excursion.

I eat here at least once a month because they offer 2 meals for under £8 which is great when you've got the kids with you, especially kids that are too old for the actual kids menu. I would say though that I think they should put the all day breakfast back in that deal. The menus are varied and the prices fairly reasonable. The food is always hot and nicely presented but tends to be tasteless I think. The best part is that they do 2 4 1 deserts which is fab but they are stingy on the ice cream. Service is quite sloppy and food can take up to half an hr to reach the table, even when it's not busy. But my granchildren like it, so that's why we go there more than I'd like to.

We decided to have a pint or two with friends great idea sensible prices well controlled by doorman we had a good couple of hours staff were polite and friendly it was just as it should be we will return again

Pub relatively quiet for the time of day. Food was ordered at bar, and shortly after the condiments were thrown to the table as waitress trotted by. When the meals arrived some 25 minutes later... The experience didn't get better. The food was served by a waitress in her coat and bag on her shoulder who had clearly just finished her shift, plonked the plates down then left the building. The fish (fish and chips) were very dry, and included an extra large piece of just batter. Mac and cheese, was a ready meal. Server a purpose, but wasn't worth more than £3, at the local supermarket!

It is perfect to use for a couple of beers before going to dancing. Better way is drink,no food quality.

But then what do you expect.Not bad, food is okay, found it was a clean place. Drinks can be a little pricey but it's Yates's problem not this particular branch.I've noticed a few people complaining about the zero tolerance ID rule from the bouncers, not being funny they just wanna know if you're banned or dangerous. You wanna party with dangerous drunks? No, let them do their job.

This place is ok . but if you come in late evening its rubbish as the door will asked for ID and can refuse you entry.

We were refused entry by an officus door man! At my old age to be spoken to as I was about no id for an my age was a great shock! We fully understand for people under 25 but, not for the older generation. We watched as many were turned away all with the same tone as we were spoken to. My goodness head office sort your doorman and polices out! You are losing thousands of pounds with the two dreadful problems. If, the id issue is not removed I fear your chain will be closed within a year. Many of us who were turned away visited the pub opposite. All of the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant! BIG MISTAKE YATES PUB CHAIN !!!!

This place is the worse pub in Watford. Food was cold and took 1 hour to come to the table. But the worse thing is the doorman will not let you in without ID no matter how old you are.

On my arrival I ordered the burger meal that come with drink think it would be great , but beef smell cooked overnight and on bed of the almost rotten tomatoes slice which really hard to finished it and the smell was really bad for the last few bite. Don't ever expect what you get with £6.45 as the beef cooled overnight in case busy timing the chef could prepare easily .

This is my second visit- I previously came a few months back with my family, this visit was really a joke! I came for a Saturday night after my previous experience was really good! Unfortunately this wasn't, on arrival we witnessed a girl being turned away as she had insulted staff- quite an ordeal, the worst thing was the staff shed insulted was a small blonde girl (half dressed) shouting insults in the smoking area at her. We then ordered drinks at the bar as the beer was warm and flat, I queried with a 'manager' and was promptly ignored by her and told that if we didn't like it we should leave (this girl had short black hair, I did get an email address to complain off her but I haven't had a response in three weeks). I asked her to speak to the male manager I had met before on my previous visit, she laughed , rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Sorry Yates but you've lost customers here, the previous gent looked after us and our family, these girls just embarrassed us. We won't come back.

If i was lactose intolerant i would want to crawl up into a ball and cry! Why? Because obviously i wouldn't be able to have a milkshake from here! Shame theres not one of these back home! Im going to have many great dreams about my milkshake today, the mrs will have to take a backseat in my dreams for a while. She is lactose intolerant... Hahahaha. Loser!

We were in Watford meeting with some family when decided we were hungry. So we dropped into Yates for dinner with the kids. I had the fish and chips and it was one of the best fish & chips meals I'd ever had in a restaurant. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed but really efficient. A really cheerful young lady called Anya served us and recommended we visit the bar in the evening. We definitely will - as soon as we lose the kids.

I stayed in Watford on a family visit, we came to lunch in Yates with my niece and Nephews. They were busy but looked after us well.The food was decently priced and portioned and the staff were really friendly. The manager recommend we come back during the evening for some drinks without the kids so I did, a great atmosphere with decent service, again the staff seemed to really enjoy it so did the customers. I'd definatly recommend a visit.

I had heard a lot of positive feedback from Yates so i decided to try it for myself. I loved the food, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere was great and I would definitely recommend to friends and return quickly. We ended up staying for hours into the evening and experienced the pop theme night which was thoroughly enjoyable and the only place in town which felt laid back and relaxed but yet full of energy.Really great place, would definitely recommend.

great place to chill during the day with some great food and an AWESOME place to party at night with cheap drink and brilliant music including a DJ on the weekends...am coming here everytime im in Watford.

If your looking for a great night out in Watford make sure you pop in here or though you won't want to go anywhere else! It's an amazing atmosphere with good music cheap drinks and excellent staff ;) especially Fit Gary, Hot Tom and loveable Russ :) they make you feel right at home :)

Been a few times, bar staff always friendly, cheap and food is pretty decent too. Would recommend for lunch and a night out

I was in here on Saturday night and had the time of my life! One of the best nights I have had in ages. The atmosphere was perfect and the drinks very reasonable how ever the staff were out of this world bending over backwards for your every need! I felt like royalty. All I can say is that the management deserve a pay rise as the staff I presume they have trained are incredibly good at their jobs. As I said awesome night out highly recommended!!

my first drink was in the yates bar restaurant on my day trip to watford,its a big place to drink or eat in, ,they have a menu and do deals with drinks,you can sit outside or inside,the service is good and the staff friendly,well worth a visit.

Nice for a pub, tried by chance one day and been back a couple of times since.Its cheap enough for a pleasant meal and its also child friendly for my little girl. Will go again and would recommend.

We visit here frequently on a work lunch for a fast, tasty and cheap break between working hoursThe offers at this place are great - the food is delicious for what you pay and the service is pretty quickIn terms of the clientele that you spend time with, there can be some rowdy people enjoying the cheap drinks but you get used to them :)

Drab drab drab. I know its a chain pub and these are synonymous with having a drab atmosphere and cheap beer. But this place has a drab atmosphere and expensive beer!! The staff lack a sense of humour. The ales were mostly all off so I ended up having lager. Dont really mind being flexible but its the way staff telll you that you cant have what you want!! Pretty rubbish to be hinest. Wouldnt go there agin unless everywhere else was closed. Didnt even stay to sample the food. Probably wouldnt have had what I wanted anyway.

I called in during the day to try a special offer meal, not expecting to much but was really surprised by the quality and the service. The staff were very friendly and the meal came out hot and cooked well. Not sure how they can do it for the price but I wont complain. Will go back during the day shortly.

Good value for what it was. Served piping hot. Polite service by staff who were helpful. We wanted cheap and cheerful and that is what we got.

I was a customer of this pub enjoying its food and Karaoke nights. Until last night when in subzero temperatures I was turned away at the door by a bloke who went by the name of 'Steve' their doorman, who said I was barred from entry because I was dressed in 'work clothes'Which was strange since I'd been to Karaoke on previous two Thursday nights with no issue.I put this to him and Steve explained that the rules had changed and since the students were now off, dress-up rules applied until the end of January. I had to accept what he said although there was no mention of this anywhere.I still wasn't clear exactly what the definition of work clothes was so I pressed himApparently it was because I was wearing jeans and trainers.Whilst me and my friend were shivering talking to him in the freezing temperatures, a group of lads went by wearing jeans and trainers also but were not checked or barred entry.I put this to Steve but he said that was ok and mine looked dirty. I have to abide by the decision and there are no hard feelings on my part- Steve was just doing his job - turning away customers who are not dressed to impress like he should on a bitterly cold winter night But I like to be assured of a good evening so obviously I won't recommend Yates to anyone
