Harvester Garston in Watford

What can I say we turned up straight to a table ordered drink hadn’t even opened the menu then as if by magic drinks had landed service from vicky amazing 10/10 and the food banging salad bar fresh and well stocked all mains cooked well presented well . We don’t use are harvester by us in Redditch as it’s terrible! But these guys do it right

Our waiter Jake was very polite, consistently checking in making sure everyone was ok, very informative when I queried about things on the menu and overall the food was delicious would definitely recommend !

I go for lunch to the Harvester at Garston on a regular basis. The food is very tasty with good size portions. Today we were served by Khaled who was very friendly and helpful.

We eat here regularly. The staff are so welcoming especially Angela Becca and Jake. Food is good. Salad bar is much better than other sites but its the service that makes Garton Harvester home from home. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work.

I had a nice evening. Food - ordered a medium steak and it came out rare. Happy with my burger. Services - Server smiled and understanding when the order came out rare they brought it back medium. We had a voucher, told we couldn't use it on the sharing platter, but when in Hemel branch we could. Salad bar not having all options available when it was not overally busy. Atmosphere - it was quite evening. I hope that helps.

Went here for a meal with my nanny and grandad and the food was great value and good quality! Our waitress Chelsea was very lovely and attentive and she also saved us 50% off mains by telling us about the deal on the app! Her service was amazing. Would definitely be back again.

Dreadful quality. Meat mixed with vegetarian sides. Everything stone cold. Salad only consisted of sweetcorn and carrot. Spoke to SEBASTIAN at the restaurant who was extremely rude and had a dreadful attitude. We spent almost £60 for 3 meals and couldn’t eat most of it but according to Sebastian that’s how it is and there’s nothing he can do about it. Diabolical customer service from harvester. Appalling that someone so vile is working with the public. Avoid at all costs.

Our visit was a very pleasant experience, nice food, great atmosphere and polite friendly service by Vicky, chelsie and Artan. Always a pleasure to visit this restaurant. All the staff here are always very welcoming. Cannot fault this venue. Harvester Garston is consistently 5 star in all categories, food, drinks, service and atmosphere.continuous standards are high.

Something has changed since we were last here. It seems they've cut corners on the meal (no corn on the cob anymore and the chicken strips with the chicken stack were like straws) whilst at the same time hiking the prices. A shame as it was always a great meal for a good price.

There was a group of sixteen of us from our church and we usually go for breakfast once a month. Angela served us and her service was absolutely excellent. Exceptional and so kind. We all had different breakfasts, drinks, some had allergies and we changed tables and she was incredibly gracious in helping us to do that. Nothing was too much trouble. The classic breakfast, eggs benedict and other were very good quality as ever. Well done Angela and well done to the Harvester. Nice entrance and lovely ambience. We will be back for another lovely breakfast. It would be easier for servers to bring out the coffee or tea pots rather than have to take them away and refill. Marmalade please too.

Sixteen of us came for breakfast from our local church and we come once a month. Angela served us and her service was excellent as she was totally efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the classic breakfast, eggs benedict and some had the fruit bowl. Please provide marmalade and maybe it might be easier for your servers to have coffee and tea pots to refill rather than taking the cups away and then having to remember whose cup is whose. Value for money, ambience and food were very good. Angela THANK YOU SO MUCH for your attentive service to both our tables. Superb.

Let’s start with the food I go quite regularly to the harvester near my house but I decided to go to this branch as I had to meet a friend and I invited him for dinner. I ordered a steak with an extra portion of chips and a steak sauce, I’m afraid the chips were stale. They seemed like they’ve been lying on the side under the heat lamp for hours. They were hard. There was they were not soft crisp Are freshly fried. The steak sauce seemed like it’s again it had split. It was not smooth. It was lumpy and I asked for no mushy peas and I got them again but that was removed and gave me extra onion rings. When I talk to the manager or what seemed like a manager, the supervisor he told me the reason the checks were like that well because they changed the oil which I think was quite bending the truth Under the circumstances which I will explain later the service was very good apart from going to the salad bar and literally coming back and not even halfway through my salad bowl my main meal was on the table so they would like trying to rush me out even though I’ve got there for like an 8 o’clock sitting our server was quite nice and polite she seems to have had a rough day with other servers. Look like they had an argument or do some bullying going on as my friend and I could hear some arguments going on between the servers and there was a bit of foul languages which was not appropriate for a service industry restaurant Harvester Garston need to pull up their standards quite considerably and they should they need to be some Customer Care Training

Unfortunately, we just walked out after waiting such a long time to be seated. Despite 3 members of staff seeing us waiting there, there was no sign of anyone helping anytime soon. Restaurant was incredibly empty too.

Came in tonight as a table of 8 originally but 2 others joined us. Our server was called Jake was so kind and patient with us all while we was all chatting away with our friends. Couldn’t fault his service at all despite us staying till half 10/11pm. Thanks again Jake for your great service!

We had a table booked for today and we was eating are dinner when the manger asked us to leave soon as they had a party coming in and needed the table . We go there all the time as my husband is disabled and in a wheelchair. We have never had that before and it upset my autistic son and my husband as we could not have lovely time as we had to rush are food. My food had to be sent back as it was burnt

Arrived at 11am for breakfast, just in time as finished at 11.15am. Vicky our waitress was very happy & jolly, which is nice to see as that’s not always the way. Lovely decor & breakfast very tasty. Husband was happy with unlimited coffee. Thank you 😊

My trip to the harvester gave me few concerns. Firstly the food was great and was better than expected. However the service wasn't great the menus were slammed on the table and we saw a young lad called Jake on his phone.

T'was Christmas Eve, the restaurant was busy and service was a little slow because of it. That said, our waitress was apologetic several times but very friendly when we got to chat with her. Food was as you'd expect from a Harvester 🙂

I Had christmas dinner here and l thought the food was terrible it was a 4 course meal but half the food wasn’t cooked properly and the pudding was far to sweet and sickening The food wasn’t really worth £69 and not good value for your money I won’t be coming here again

I mean the food was nice. But when I booked I opted for the Boxing Day menu and was never given it ? From the time we arrived it took 20mins from someone to sit us and ask us for a drink. Service was just extremely slow for a place that wasn’t busy at all.

I came here with my family on Christmas eve, first time at this branch but we're big fans of Harvester however was very disappointed on this occasion. To begin with the staff member at the front desk was unwelcoming and unbothered. Our waiter was the same, not friendly at all and seemed like he didnt want to be there. I ordered a sirloin steak and asked for it to be well done yet it wasnt well done but rather red and very salty. (See pic) Wont be coming to this branch again. Customer service is nil

Review of Harvester - A Disappointing Christmas Dinner Experience I had pre-booked a Christmas dinner at Harvester, ensuring in advance that they were aware of my severe allergies to prawns and any pig-based items. I was reassured by the manager that my meal would be handled with utmost care, with no cross-contamination in the kitchen. However, when my dinner arrived, it came with prawns on the plate. The waiter casually said, “Oh, I’ll go and take them out for you,” which was completely unacceptable given the allergy concerns I had emphasized earlier. This disregard for safety left me anxious and nauseous, completely ruining my Christmas dinner. Adding to the disappointment, my husband’s steak was severely overcooked, hard as a rock, and no steak knife was provided. Even the waitress who reconfirmed my order appeared to shake her head in disbelief at what was happening. After the debacle with my meal, I reluctantly accepted an offer for apple pie and custard. Shockingly, this too was stone cold—both the pie and the custard. By this point, I was not only disappointed but also sick to my stomach and had completely lost my appetite. The manager did issue a partial refund, but honestly, it didn’t make up for the awful experience. What was supposed to be a festive and enjoyable meal turned into a stressful, upsetting ordeal. I won’t be returning to this branch and would advise others to think twice before dining here, especially if you have dietary requirements or allergies.

Tables with no condiments, no table placement mats, just a plain uninviting table. Food was the poorest I have had at a Harvester, and it’s been a while. All of us felt the same. Very poor quality and the place is worn and poorly set.

Slow service, but probably due to time of year and not enough staff. Food to be fair did not take long once ordered and was fine.

Came here for our Christmas Eve dinner with 14 of us. Our waiter was absolutely lovely he came over many times to check of us and he was brilliant. We ended up having an issue with our bill which we asked them to change , the manager was so rude waving his hands in my sisters face and arguing with us saying we had been given a bottle of prosecco which we had not! He was so awful about it and absolutely ruined the end of our night. We received no apology and was left to pay the bill in FULL!!!! Which is so wrong in my opinion. If anyone has an issue with something don’t even bother complaining as they are not at all willing to fix it with ease will argue and try to make the issue bigger than it is! Terrible experience won’t be doing this again!

Our waiter Khaled was amazing, efficient and helped out by getting our order in quickly. We did not have a booking but the venue was very accomodating. Good value for money. We enjoyed our experience.
