We visited a Harvester in Aylesbury which was dyer, and I swore that I would never visit another one again. We were traveling back from Norwich and my wife decided to google a good salad and the Harvester came up, the nearest being North Watford. The welcome was great, the beer cold, and my food, a smokey pork belly,was fantastic. My wife had an unlimited salad and again great quality food. This place has re-ignited my love for Harvesters and I can't wait to return. And brilliant value for money. Well done guys great job.

We got served by Becca this evening and it was delightful, seated in a pleasant area, food came super quick which was lovely to see. If we are ever back in Watford would happily come back. Thank you to all the team that made the end of a great day.

Went to Harvester in Garston to have an impromptu Birthday Celebration Dinner with my wife. We had an excellent evening, where Carla and Vicky made our evening extra special. The food was also very nice and well presented.

We have been going to Harvester Garston for a number of years and have always enjoyed our visits. Very friendly and welcoming staff and good food. However our recent visit was a great disappointment. The food was good but the standard of service fell well below par. We were shown to our table by a waiter, or whoever he was, who proceeded to drop the menus in a pile on the table and walked off before we had even reached the table! We then just sat there and waited for someone to introduce themselves and ask us if we wanted drinks. Eventually my daughter walked up to a waiter and asked him when we were going to be served. In a minute he said then proceeded to clear a table. So, clearing tables is more important than serving customers? He eventually decided to take our order for drinks we ordered our meals at the same time. There was no apology from him for the wait. The meal arrived in timely fashion . When we managed to attract his attention we asked for the bill and he eventually brought it to us and he left it at the end of the table and walked off and that was the last we saw of him. I eventually took the bill to the till area where I paid. The chap who dealt with it was the chap who had taken us to our table originally. He didn't say a word, he just took payment and walked away. Needless to say I did not leave a tip!

Food was okay, but that was not the problem…. The waiting on staff were incompetent, service was incredibly slow, were sat with empty plates for nearly half an hour, had to ask for the receipt after being walked past an abundance of times, waiting 5 minutes for that to be printed, then had to ask to pay 10 minutes after. The waiter came over for us to pay and did not say a single word to us. Note we were 1 of 2 tables this waiter was looking after, the restaurant was incredibly quiet and the 2 waiters on shift seemed to be in heated arguments with each other throughout.. We will definitely not be returning, the environment was hostile and slow.

They close so early. What's the point

We didn't eat well, it's not cheap and the staff is improvised. A waiter cleaned the windows near us during our lunch and we received drops of detergent on our plates, shameful! Also, the parking is paid and not well marked and you risk a fine, none of the staff warns you. Avoid this restaurant

Sticky tables, food on the floor, salad bar covered in food (which a "chef" then scooped back into the relevant salad tray), not all menu items available, chicken dry and tasteless, drinks glasses warm, ice machine at refill station not working, toilets filthy and not all in working order. The serving, bar and greeting staff however, we're all very friendly and helpful.

Long waits, manager quite rude, food mediocre. Rolls cold and hard, salad bar a mess, Glasses EVERYWHERE. Toilets dirty.

We used this venue for my Mother's Wake, the staff could were very helpful& kind,& provided a lovely spread,

Food was okay, but we were all disappointed by the chips and my sides were forgotten about. Nice pub with a cool little Potter homage corner.

We wanted to sit in the conservatory but the tables hadn't been cleaned and were covered in dirty plates etc. Off putting. Peppercorn sauce that came with the steak was weak and watery. Peas were the only vegetables with our meals. Desserts disappointing. No atmosphere.

Very nice place. Staff brilliant but just needs venue tweaking a bit . They only offer full rack of ribs and half rack as a main . Where most restraunt will do both

I think Vicky is outstanding and a huge asset to the Harvester. We are regulars and always try to attend her branch if possible and want to sit in her zone. Vicky should be acknowledged in some way by the management team/ head office.

5 of us came here for a meal after visiting the Harry Potter studio tour which was only a couple of miles away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was spot on, and the pricing was a bargain. Thank you very much.

Came this weekend for a Sunday evening meal. Food was good and service was excellent! Our server Carla was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Online booking worked well and the service was good, but not exceptional. Atmosphere was below average, but it's a Harvester, it's not going to be good However the food was abysmal. I ordered a £24.00 porterhouse steak. Usually this is a succulent cut, but this was like cardboard. I could not chew through it and ended up leaving most of it on the table. Tbh it did not even look like a porterhouse. And it tasted like a tough piece of rump. I do not know where they source their steak, but I was not impressed. Even the sides were disappointing: a small tub of peas which I'm guessing they prepared in the morning and then left under a heat lamp, because they were shriveled and drying up. Onion rings were disappointing with very thin slices of onion within the batter. The fries and sauce were ok, but nothing special. I've eaten in Harvesters before, but this was a massive disappointment.

Had a wonderful experience today, had rotisserie chicken and chips and salad, great service and recommended.

Very poor, cold food and not great service levels

There was nothing good about the visit. When we arrived there appeared to be only two people working the floor, we waited nearly 10 minutes to be seen too even though we were seen by the staff multiple times (a quick message of "will be with as quickly as possible just busy doing something" instead of just being stared at then walk off. Once we were finally seated it didn't get any better as we starting ordering our coffees and were told we couldn't have any coffee as the machine was broken. Then we tried to order our food and surprise surprise nearly everything we wanted its was not available and what we ended up ordering was not great. We have eaten at many harvesters across the country and have to say this was the most poorest experience we have ever had and will no be returning to this branch again.

As usual the food and service was good.

I’m appalled! I order the special chicken and chicken was severally overcooked and incredibly dry and the ratatouille was very spicy so all I really had for my dinner was chips: And as for customer service, it was non existent! No one came up to us to check to see if everything was ok with our food. As went to get salad I saw a couple of workers just on their phones. Never again, put my family and I off harvester for a VERY long time.

Visited tonight for dinner, very nice to be served again by Vicky who was excellent and attentive Food was really lovely, we only had main courses, ribs and a triple chicken combo. Large portions, cooked to perfection. We will see you again soon

Jul24- v busy Thursday. The service was slow because of it and clearly understaffed. The bar took over 25mins to be manned. They were pleasant and we waited 45mins for a takeaway order originally scheduled for 15mins. Burger and chips now cost from £14.99. Harvester is not the inexpensive place it once was. Tasty fresh food and still get a salad . Burger both beef and plant based were yum

We had lunch here before taking the kids to Ninja Warriors Watford. The Harvester here is really spacious with lots of seating. The car park is also really big The food is pretty good for lunchtime, and the service is excellent

I had the half roast chicken which was really good, the apple pie for pudding was a big let down, the pastry was rubbery and raw and had to leave it, they did refund me the cost which was good of them.

Foods good just one server ruins it everytime. I expect a friendly service when I go to restaurant, this blokes got as much charisma as a brick wall. No smiles, no thank yous, cuts across when answering. Do better.

The service was great from when we arrived. Carla took us to our table. Elise was our waitress and really attentive through the whole time. Food was really nice and we had a great time. Definitely will be back for dinner or drinks with family and friends 🧡

No complaints with food. Usually it can be hit & miss but it was bang on for once. Salad bar was nicely stocked and everything was fresh. Very busy as it was Sunday but staff were handling it very well. When it is busy the car park can be a bit of a squeeze. Only complaint is the female toilets had no toilet paper on this occasion. **Remember to type in your vehicle registration number into the tablet by the main entrance to avoid receiving a parking ticket.

Service was OK, got there around 1.30 during the week. Food was disgraceful, chips floating in water, 3 beans with a kids meal, and very expensive for what it was absolutely one to avoid.

Disappointed to find they provide a barely satisfactory service to non-white customers (found in reviews another diner had same experience but a different waitress). I do not expect this in 2024! Disgraceful

We had a lovely lunch today and had an amazing waitress Carla G who brought my son's birthday cake out with some of her colleagues and sang happy birthday to him.

Served by Carla G, friendly service and very helpful. Was in a group of 11 and everyone really enjoyed their food. Carla double checked all our orders and made sure everyone was 100% happy with their options. And the birthday singing was 10/10 we all had a good laugh at my brother

Don't change, I went there for my birthday dinner and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish, we all ended up getting 1983's, the staff were friendly, the drinks were great, the food was Outstanding, and our waitress went above and beyond

Went in for father's day dinner . There was 9 of us all together. The waitress Angela was so welcoming and smiling all the time. We had some issues with a draft coming in from the outside and she sorted this out very quickly. Food was served exactly as it was ordered. Angela was polite and friendly. Well done to her.

There were four of us celebrating my wife's birthday, so we wanted everything to go well, and we weren't disappointed. It was Chicken Tuesday, so my daughter used the App and we got a very good reduction in the price. Our waitress was excellent - made some helpful suggestions and was generally very efficient but friendly at the same time. Her name was Aprill.

We popped in here whilst on holiday in the area. Was really impressed by the food, service and would visit again.

Great place to eat quick service and unlimited salad

This was our first visit to Harvester as it was on our way home from a long trip. We booked a table online and as there were no hosts greeting us inside we decided to sit at one of the empty tables and wait to order. We also heard lots about the salad bar so whilst waiting to order we took one salad bowl for our hungry 2 year old. How silly were we to be ESCORTED out of the table, called THIEVES in front of our child and the public by a staff member Alice. All this without even touching the 2 tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber and 1 bread roll (as that’s the max of what our child could eat)… I am all for paying for mistakes (we did not know the rules of the salad bar…) but after pointing it to Alice she continued apologising to myself (as I was the “calm” one) but refused to apologise to my husband stating that she had rightly called him a thief (of 2 cherry tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber and a bread roll..). I have dined in many places before but never have I ever experienced such a poor customer service, such a poor conduct in general. I do not think that this career is for Alice as she is clearly letting the whole team down (I believe having read the comments, that I am not the first one naming this person as someone with a very poor customer service). So perhaps avoid whenever Alice is on shift as your experience in Garston may be negatively affected.

Me and my family had a lovely meal the other week, a lovely blonde girl served us with glasses (I can't remember her name), and she ensured she had heard our order correctly by reading it back to us. we had our son with us, she went the extra mile by adding an extra sauce as-well as the chocolate sauce that comes the children's make your own Sunday as my boy wanted raspberry and chocolate. overall we had a excellent time will be returning

Took my 2 sons earlier this week there and didn’t rate the food. We had a few starters (calamari, halloumi fries, bbq chicken wings), main meal which was ribs with bbq glaze and kids burger meal. Starters were okay but bbq wings were a let down. Just dry, chewy and caked with bbq sauce from a bottle I think. Kids burger again was dry and so were the ribs. Short story, won’t be going there again in a hurry and rather eat at TGI Fridays across the road.

The last few times I've visited Harvester I've had only the unlimited bowl and it is amazing and filling and great value

Went for rare meal out with sister, staff friendly but was enjoying the salad cart and our starter came very quickly and again our mains wanted to enjoy a nice relaxed meal, but felt rushed and unwanted

Excellent service (from Vicky i believe). Freshly cooked food. Salad bar included with mains. Bottomless drink option & other deals available at certain times.

Had a lovely family meal - 10 of us including 2 young children. The food is unsurprising but exactly what we expected - cooked very well - we all enjoyed what we had. Lots of families, lots of young children so it’s a bit hectic! But our waitress Bekka was extremely helpful and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed - an excellent family afternoon.

My family and I recently visited for my partner's birthday. This was our first time visiting the Garston branch. The food was great, very tasty served piping hot. The restaurant overall had a nice, relaxed atmosphere and was clean and tidy. Good parking. Jodie was our waitress; she was very attentive to our needs, very patient (even with the whole family there) and we were delighted when she could make a recommendation on the menu. She effortlessly made our table feel special given it was my parent's birthday. We recommend Harvester Garston and will be back.

Manager was rude. Spoke to young barmaid, as if she was stupid, multiple times , in our presence. We had one drink at lunchtime today. When we asked for drink , she was short and rude.

Today I took my grandkids for a meal. Ordered one kids rump steak.. not an over done hard lump that looked like my nans purse. That went back and changed to a cheese burger. We got it, with no cheese but a slice of ice berg lettuce and a tomato.. sent back to put cheese on it. My grandson couldn't eat that either, full of gristle. Chips hard..I ordered the chicken salad bowl, which was given to someone else so i had to wait longer for my meal, if you can call it that. Thank you for the mountain of salad with 3 thin slices of chicken. Awful! That got left. I paid over 35 pounds for 3 j2o drinks and one meal for my grandaughter which was rack of ribs and rice.. disgusting.. I will never go back. Worst food. Nothing is prepared for a busy Bank Holiday Sunday. The staff didn't have a clue who they were serving, and even tried to give us someone else's food..half the staff have either just left school or are still attending. It's rubbish. I wish I had got a refund but we couldn't wait to leave. They had no cutlery either had to wait for that 10 minutes what a joke
