Great pub really nice lady behind the bar, cheep pints and good atmosphere. Chippy was shut so they made us some chips on the house!

Came to Watford to see my son who was at the theatre. Popped in for a quick bite, very busy (football) but food came quickly and the manager was fantastic with our dog. First rate!

Very poor. No access into bar area for disabled customers, no disabled toilets you have to get up 3 ccontrete steps on both bars impossible if in a wheelchair.

I have to agree with John John on this matter people in wheelchairs have got access to the barn area but then they have no access to disabled toilets or the bars to get a drink if a fire started in the bar area there will be no way out Only if helped by other customers I have taken this a step further I have reported my findings to the health and safety office.

The first bar area you enter is quite small but there’s a number of different areas throughout the pub. The real selling point here is the staff who are so friendly and make you feel truly welcome. Although it’s popular with regulars even on a first visit you don’t feel out of place. Nice enough range of drinks at reasonable prices mean I’d certainly visit again in the future.

Excellent service and a wide selection of beers. What they've done to this facility during the lockdown is unbelievable. I'm at a loss for words. You should come down and check it out; the barn is a small piece of Shoreditch in Watford. Fantastic.

I absolutely love going in here the bar staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. I go in here before a match day at Watford fc, they have beers on tap as well as bottled beer plus wine and spirts too. They have a nice beer garden too which is lovely in the summer time. It's a great little pub and definitely worth checking out

I love this pub always stop in here for a few drinks when I go to see Watford play the bar staff are very friendly and welcoming also any away fans who visit Watford are welcome in there too they have great pub garden too definitely worth a visit.

This pub is a lot smaller than it looks from the outside but, nevertheless, it’s very nice. Great outdoor area too. I love the fact that it has retained two rooms, disregarding the current trend to knock everything into one. Friendly staff and well-kept beer. Overall a very good experience. The best pub I visited on my short trip to Watford.

Had the best night here over Easter weekend when dj si was playing. Absolutely beautiful area they've created outside, gorgeous and cool enough for a small wedding, highly recommend it!

My pub of choice for a pre/post match beer when I watch the night Hornets. Always a really friendly family atmosphere, and a decent sized outside space too. A great pub!

This as been my local for the last 9 years and even though its gone through a few owners in that time it's still great. The staff are friendly and always up for a laugh and the regulars are friendly to. If you want a pub with friendly locals and staff then this is the place to be

The way management treat the staff is shocking. Got to see it. They even have CCTV to watch. no wonder they can not hold staff.

The music on Friday is way to noisey. Hear it Fo up the street. Video taken and given to council. Think of the people living next to you.

Popped into the Estcourt from Work for a lunch with a colleague. Had a homemade burger and chips which was superb, the seasoning on chips superb

The landlord of this pub is inconsiderate, disrespectful and arrogant. They play ridiculously loud music in the garden every weekend without fail which makes living in the local area a nightmare. Yesterday it was unbelievably loud and got worse as the night went on- it's a local pub not a rave. I also find the racket that goes on as his hideous customers leave really disturbing. I'm pleased to see from the other reviews that I am not the only person who is bothered by this- I will be calling the council and the brewery/pubco. Totally unacceptable.

Top class public house. They have a new pub by the football ground called the odd fellows. Which to there web site is open 24 hours.

Such a pity they’re not thinking about the houses surrounding them, the music gets turned up too loud for inside let alone outside. Could be a nice local pub if only they’d think about the community they’re part of.

Really really nice staff. I am not local, but I sometimes work and lodge here. They have been really friendly, especially Emma. Brought me my beer out to the garden. I will definitely be back.

Banging pub with top notch staff, banging cocktails and a tidy little beer garden!

I had hoped this would be my new local when I moved to the area a few months ago as they have beer on tap that I like and the garden is finished to a high standard. It looks very inviting and welcoming from the outside, and has kept a nice traditional look to it. However, the music is bad, always too loud and there are nitrous oxide cans littered all over the road outside after the weekend. The landlord is attention seeking, chavvy and seems either always completely pissed or really hungover, and rather than marketing the pub to a wide range of customers, he seems to be very happy only attracting the local chavs who behave badly. The atmosphere is therefore chaotic and quite unwelcoming. Unfortunately now I've been there a handful of times, I know for sure it's not the sort of place you can go to relax or to unwind after work. I wouldn't bring my friends or wife here, which is such a shame as we loved our last local pub. Could be really enjoyable if it was run properly.

A poor Pub with lousy service. I must mention in the interest of fairness I came here during the covid pandemic, so service may have changed. Unlike most pubs there is no app to order so you must wait at your table for service. This wouldn't be a problem, however 35 minutes to get service on a weekday night is not acceptable. I went in multiple times to get an barmaids attention, yet she forgot twice. When she finally did remember (my fourth time trying ) she took an additional 10 minutes to finally get my drink. Now this is no fault, other than the forgetfulness of the bar maid but one person at the bar probably isn't enough to maintain a pub of this size and magnitude.

Recently refurbished, this pub had a complete makeover. I’ve been living in the Reed Crescent for 10 years and it is so nice to finally have a pub you feel safe to walk in and meet with friends and family. The owners are so friendly too. With Covid going on I noticed they clean seats and tables frequently which is important. I recommend this pub!

Great watering hole. It serves a wide range or gins if you are into gin or good lager draft or bottles. Must not forget the great cook and wonderful food.

Clean and compliant with the safety measures. The food was ok. The only thing I didn't like is that they were not offering the Eat Out Help Out promo campaign as per T&C's as they didn't apply the discount to the soft drinks we ordered (despite flagging that T&C's include those drinks) Thanks Tony for the explanation. I really appreciate the offer but won't be needed, I would have appreciated this explanation on the day but it's all good.

Great little pub in the centre of Watford which isn't just part of another chain franchise, so a rarity! They've recently don't up the beer garden which now has to be the best in town, good selection of beers and ciders, reasonable prices, nice staff, just a really great pub!

Great atmosphere and a lovely pint

Popped into this pub near the junction for a spot of lunch and was so pleasantly surprised at what a nice little pub this is.... the staff were really friendly, they had a great selection of gins at the gin bar!! And the food came out in good time and was great quality would definitely recommend this place

I had not been here for a long time and did not realise they did food, it was a lunch time and the first thing I spotted was they had Ghost Ship on draft, a well kept pint. The specials looked intersting on the food front and I had the steak salad, steak was cooked as I asked for it and the salad was fresh and tasty with a spicy kick. Everyone else said they enjoyed their food too and I noticed there were a few vegan options as well.

Called in to get out of the rain, pleasantly surprised. Fresh looking to what I remembered from previous visits. Good choice of beer, Doombar Atlantic really good, friendly bar staff and polite. Good atmosphere really nice place to go now. Will deffatnatly be going back.

Amazing food, lovely reception and the best service!

I met up with a old friend of mine for a couple of drinks and some lunch, the ale is good and the food nice and sensible prices too. The staff are very helpful and pleasant to talk to, a very nice atmosphere and a traditional English pub feel to it. Live music planned for weekends at the gin bar in the barn beside the pub it's going to be worth a visit I've heard.

Amazing little traditional place. Exactly how pubs should be where you can talk to everyone or no one - It's your choice. So pleased to see it reopened.

No steaks at all and other menu items missing. Some food was cold yet orange squash drink was warm! And coke had funny taste Bar staff didn't seem to be bothered about it either!

Con el nuevo dueño, ocupando ha sido un pub y mejorado realmente bien en el último propietario. El servicio es fantástico y la comida era muy buena y la cerveza. El propietario conoce el pub es un pub local. Con la ubicación cerca de la estación de tren la ubicación es fantástica.

This pub is usually pretty quiet, even on Friday evenings. The beer selection isn't as wide as in some other pubs in the area (the Flag, for instance) but the service is friendly and quick, and I've never not been able to get a seat.

Its a lot better here now. Great beer and best jacket spuds in Watford served by a new landlord. Also a range of craft ales if you like that.
