Absolutely loved our first visit today, after walking from Cambridge we were delighted with this gem of a pub. Super friendly and attentive staff. We both had fish & chips they were AMAZING very very tasty and a very generous portion. We will be back. Thank you to all the team 🙏

My first visit and won't be my last. I went with work colleagues for lunch, some difficult decisions had to be made as it was all so good. I settled on the Asparagus to start with, I didn't regret not having the scallops, although my colleague said his were very good. Between us we sampled Lamb, fish and vegetarian options all clean plates, no more to be said

We stayed at the Inn over the Bank holiday weekend- Saturday to Monday. The two rooms we had were warm, clean and comfortable. It’s very much a no-frills approach, but as you spend minimal time in the rooms it’s absolutely fine. The real treat here is the pub with its lovely restaurant. It’s a very traditional pub that Jeremy runs and it’s all the better for that as far as we are concerned. We spent two enjoyable evenings ending in the bar chatting with our host and laughed a lot. The restaurant is a real surprise as you enter it. An enormous log fire with comfy armchairs and sofa is a terrific place to stagger to after eating Noi’s beautiful cooking. We had Thai food on one night and steaks and fish and chips the second night. We can’t praise the food highly enough and so much of it! It’s a short drive to the Park and Ride which is regular and efficient. I would absolutely recommend this stay and also stop again if in the area.

Just a short pleasnt walk along a well signposted path from Rectory Farm it was a joy to enjoy a beer or three without the need to drive and it didn't disappoint. We booked which was just as well as the restaurant was very busy and popular and we managed to team up with a German and Belgian couple at an adjacent table for a very pleasant evening. Olives on the menu for starters followed by the whole plaice, clams, cockles and mussels with chips and of course the local beer. Great service and attentive staff some of whom were learning but it didn't detract from a fine meal.

This cafe used to be a favourite of mine for lunch with friends. Today it was a total disappointment. The menu offerings were poor. The burgers we ordered were described as being in brioche bread. They were in common white bread burger buns. My prawn sandwich with crisps was in very thick white bread, no butter and far too much corse ground black pepper in the shrimps masquerading as prawns. The crisps were actually tortilla chips which I dislike. I was not offered the choice to have or not have butter. I am careful how much bread I eat and could not eat this thick bread. The burgers my husband and friend had were also over seasoned with black pepper. Sorry we will not be lunching there again. Everything looked over cooked. Even the scones looked overcooked and unappetising. The lady taking orders looked so miserable, was not at all friendly. She dumped cutlery and glass on the counter. I was only given a fork to eat the salad on my plate. It was very expensive with my sandwich priced at £9.50. The burgers @ £14.50 each. Lunch for two with a coffee and Coke drink was over £35. No reduction offered when the staff were made aware of how awful it was.
