I booked ahead for 3ish for 3 people. Arrived and it was busy as expected but this didn't affect the service at all. The atmosphere was lovely surrounded by all walks of life and was very pleasant. On the day I decided I didn't fancy a roast dinner so was happy to see the Burger on the menu 😁 the girls went for the generously portioned roast dinner and were blissfully defeated! A dessert was also had ... the sticky toffee was a great finishing touch 👌🏾 hence the photo was not taken as it was devoured!

What an amazing venue! We decided to have a party for our daughter here and to use the plough as the venue in the marquee they have in the garden. Was the best idea. The kids loved it. It was dressed so well in the disco theme we wanted and looked amazing with a Photo Booth done for them to take pics to keep. And much more. Well managed and bar stocked well for the kids and food provided that disappeared as soon as it came out so much have been good! Nothing was to much for the staff to provide and Pasky organised and was on hand all night for anything we needed. We will be back for all our family events. Roll on my birthday!

Very good atmosphere, attentive staff including a lovely welcome from Pasquale, the manager. The food was really, really good, and there was an excellent wine list which catered for all our food pairings. The restaurant was full on a Thursday evening, and Christmas meals are sold out ages ago…. So this is a marvellous place to go.

We visited for the first time last night and will definitely be back again. A very friendly team, attentive staff, delicious food, a fantastic cocktail menu and plenty of parking. I would highly recommend you visit sometime soon.

We decided one evening when visiting Cambridge to have our evening meal at this public house. We had pre-booked and on arrival was taken to a table for two. It did take quite a while before out drinks arrived and we both ordered the same meal the neck of lamb. We were very hungry and imagine my shock when this very, very small meal arrived! There were no vegetables and no potatoes or fires. After eating our meal we paid, which took quite a while and we were still hungry and yet the price for our meals was not cheap and this was a pub not a restaurant. I would advise anyone visiting Cambridge to explore some of the many restaurants in the city and then you will not be disappointed.

We took a walk on a very rainy evening across the fields from The Rectory Farm Hotel to The Plough Pub for an evening meal. This was certainly not a short cut and took us quite a while before we arrived. We had pre-booked and on arrival was taken to a table for two. I would advise anyone visiting Cambridge to look else where for their evening meal, particularly if they are staying at The Rectory Farm Hotel.

The best lunch with the great service Stacey the manager was very Friendly and Helpful. The food and drinks were on time as we had to leave early for school and they made this accomplishment for us. I would like to say it was very friendly and helpful also professional. It was a great experience and we really enjoyed the food and drinks.

If you’ve not been… you have to go!! We haven’t been for years but were wondering why on earth not (mostly geography), especially now the place has been taken over.. We just had a very spontaneous celebratory lunch for my Mums special birthday. And Wow. The food was superb. The service was excellent. AND the deserts were EVEN better (Rhubarb and custard cheesecake 😋)

Had dinner on Saturday night. Service was excellent and attentive, the food was very good indeed well presented and tasty and on warm plates. Also had Sunday lunch which was sadly not up to expectations or mirror Saturdays standard. Chicken terrine starter was mostly new potatoes but with a very small piece of terrine which although tasty at £8 was poor value. The roast beef was vary tasty with a good homemade Yorkshire pud. This was sadly let down by small roast potatoes which should never have left the kitchen, inedible, overcooked and hard as rocks. One may ask why we did not bring this to the attention of a server, we would have done had we been asked if our food was ok but we were not asked until our plates were cleared and as most of the potatoes remained on them it must have been obvious at that point there was a problem but nothing was said. The young lady who presented our bill did ask if all was ok and we mentioned the potatoes but of course this was to late. To summarise, the Plough has a very pleasant atmosphere and Saturdays dinner was very good giving us high hopes for Sunday lunch which fell well short of the previous nights performance. The Plough was very busy which was great to see and is obviously popular, perhaps we were just unfortunate, we would certainly go back but perhaps not for a Sunday roast.

Embarrassing seeing my Father try and choose which if his 4 tiny potatoes he was going to eat first. Got home and followed it up with some nice lunch at home. Yeah it's one of those places. Shan't bother again - leave it to people with large wallets and small stomachs. Then I explained our hunger predicament (you'd have thought we're in the right place to address this) and enquired after some bread so we might leave vaguely full - 5 adults & one child eating, so queue 4 slices of bread, no butter despite asking. All was enjoyed whilst sitting next to the aircon outlet.

Lovely setting and well organised outside for currently restrictions, attentive service, food was superb. Scallops as a starter, pizza and risotto as main were excellent. Recommended by local hotel Rectory farm, glad they did

Buena hamburguesa y papas fritas. Muy buena pinta de Wherry. Que es no gustar. Razonablemente ocupado.

Always enjoy visiting here for something to eat and drink, usually breakfast items such as a bacon and egg roll, scrambled eggs on toast. Food quality is always very good, and I think the staff there are excellent. Polite, friendly and always very helpful. Visit about two or three times a month. We have bought plants, bags of peat or compost, and I like the collection of greeting cards for sale. Always good to spend the money accumulated on the Loyalty card.

Sunday lunch. Loads of well cooked veg and tender meat. Only criticism was the vast amount of thick (bland) gravy poured over the entire meal. Would have preferred a gravy boat so could choose how much gravy to have. Unfortunately the gravy dominated all the other flavours - other wise would have been a delicious Sunday Roast. At £20 a head I would have expected delicious (non-generic) gravy that compliments the meal. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for ! Lots of warm sticky toffee sauce and a light and delicious sponge , and some lovely vanilla ice cream ! Staff were lovely , service quick and efficient. Lovely ambience. Minor tweak with the gravy recipe / and a gravy boat and would have been top marks !

Reluctant to write a review as we wanted to keep this bistro a secret. The bistro really is good value for money. We go for the Sunday Roast every couple of weeks and it never disappoints. well cooked and presented. Lovely peaceful eating area. A special shout out to the staff, really helpful. If visiting use the park and ride car park and follow the path to the Hospice.
