The best restaurants in Wensum Norwich East of England

A real surprise. We weren’t sure about this restaurant & take away as it seemed to be in a garage forecourt, but it was amazing. Fantastic, beautifully presented and tasty food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of choice for both meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans (ask for the vegan menu). If you are near here, try it! You won’t be disappointed. We will be back.

Have wanted to try this place for a while, but it's a little out of the way to bother going there. I was happy to see they delivered. We ordered a selection of burgers that looked really good. They arrived promptly, well packaged and look great, so far excellent service. Now it's down hill, basically it was all barely warm, it tasted okay. That was £46 wasted, I'm sure they are excellent burgers but they need to work out how to get them delivered hot. Please ignore the three star for atmosphere , I've never been there but had to do something. I really wouldn't bother with a delivery again.

Outstanding, was delivered piping hot , generous portions, cod , chips , curry sauce and mushy peas absolutely delicious

Absolutely love this place. The breakfasts are lush. Fried toast as well 😁. Polite and friendly staff . Always a pleasure.

Our first time at this wonderful restaurant but unfortunately due to their imminent closure our last visit. We wish we had found you sooner. The food and atmosphere and staff were all amazing. One we will not forget

Nice coffee shop staff friendly, busy and great choice of drinks

OMG this place was bloody awful! Let me start by saying I expected good food from this place as this place is popular amongst people around this area. I ordered a large tail end of fish, beef and onion pie, gravy and chips, I received a medium which was way over cooked which made the fish hard under the batter. The pie was nice once I took the lid off. The lid and pastry was also hard and had obviously sat under the light way to long. The chips greasy but edible. The gravy cold. Also I don't know whether it's just me but this place smelt like urine like the cooked grease

No tea cakes again today. And the front door is still broken. Everyone has to enter through the rear door which is propped open. This has been going on for weeks and makes the place draughty. Just been again. Door still broken. Cafe still draughty. Still no teacakes !

Stopped to sample the carvery whilst on holiday and we weren’t disappointed. Paul was really helpful finding us a great table, which worked as we had our dog. Food was great, roast beef and turkey. The owner’s sister (sorry didn’t get her name) was lovely and we had a nice chat with her. They have been through a lot with all the recent flooding, great to see the place very busy and doing so well. Good luck. Hope to be back. 👍

Ok food… thought I’d try somewhere else instead of my local (kam moon which is the best!) I ordered the set meal for one and you are able to change the chop suey to anything you like. The lady at the till was nice even though she was under a lot of stress with busyness. I got the peking chicken instead of the chop suey. It was ok, a bit tasteless and just tasted like sweet and sour sauce with chilli flakes as opposed to a capital sauce. The fried rice, chop suey and chow mein come in a small container even if you buy it separately so something to look out for. I think you can ask for same container food. The chicken balls were nice and the sweet and sour sauce wasn’t too sweet and had a gingery taste which was different. The salt and pepper chicken was nice not too salty, wish they did salt and pepper wings instead. Could have more seasoning a bit bland until mixed. No complementary prawn crackers and chilli oil. I’ll try them again but recommend doing pick-up as they’re not on any takeaway apps and you’ll probably receive your food a bit late. I won’t be getting the peking dish again.

I came in with friends not too long ago we had some food and the service was immaculate, food was delicious. Would definitely come back!

Ordered food last night and it was disgusting. Chips where put in chicken boxes and the boxes fell apart when it was in my hands and went all over the floor. The kebab was so greasy I could eat it. Will definitely not order from here again. Absolutely awful

Very nice food not too expensive and the chocolate cake is banging

I had not been in for many years but stopped for a drink and take photos of the wonderful use of upcycled bicycles used to make a fence around the outside of the pub. The pub was tidy and I got a warm welcome from the bar staff and locals alike and my dog was made very welcome in the pub too. Theres a fresh pizza cabin outside that also makes burgers etc. It was a busy Friday evening on my visit and I enjoyed my visit and will go again.

I used to love going to this subway but in the recent months it has been bad. I don’t think the employees know the subway standard for the portions they are meant to give with each sandwich.Eg. In footlong, 6 slices of cheese, 6 slices of tomato and two scoops of chicken. They always give less and you have to ask for more.
