Had a lovely time nice food and drinks good service and the DJ was top tier well worth a visit

Since it has been taken over from person who Is currently running it I can honestly say that they have turned the cherry tree into quite a decent establishment and they should bee proud of what they have accomplished I would highly recommend this place for a friendly pub the staff are awesome and have great customer services and the atmosphere is allway friendly and a great environment

Proper boozer. Shameless esque Decent plate full. Excellent customer service, pool table with plenty of space. Music playing. Good size beer garden. Plenty of characters to watch and pass time. Kids corner to keep them entertained. .

Arrived just after 8pm on a Friday night to find the kitchen had closed. So if you are planning on eating at this establishment, a quick phone call to see if food is available may save you a wasted journey.

Been past here for many a year finally stopped for an after work pint . A real delight finding a traditional local pub , friendly staff and clientele, Easy to strike up a conversation. Will visit again soon

I had the ultimate ribs and chicken platter ribs fell off the bone the wings fell off the bone the other chicken was soo tasty also was nice to have fries was a very good portion for the price I highly recommend and will definitely be returning compliments to the chef

Came to The Cherry Tree and tried the new menu. Had the rack of ribs and it was cooked to perfection. Since Gemma has taken over she has put her heart and soul into making it work. Staff are on point, respectful and polite. Highly recommend!

I've just had a Christmas lunch with 10 other people at the cherry tree pub and restaurant Dereham Road Norwich .Their service and food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and the place had a lovely Christmas atmosphere.We all agreed we shall go back again to enjoy other foods on their menu. Pool table not working again,had we known would not have bought a drink on the way in. Decided after one drink to go eat and drink elsewhere. Not good for business. Would look elsewhere for a decent supplier.

It took 20 minutes to get served at the bar although there where 3 people behind the bar, and not many customers, then you had run out of Fish, then it took 50 minutes to get 2 burgers out, although there was only 3 tables of 2 for food, we also had to ask for cutlery as they just walk away with giving us any. We ordered dessert which took 40 minutes to come out and it was an icecream and a sticky toffee pudding which was actually just a piece of dry cake, no toffee sauce, the icecream sundae was mainly mini marshmallows that where like little bullets. We stayed for the music and I was in total shock to see all the young ladies who where working behind the bar, sitting on the end of the bar eating McDonalds and vaping very openly, they even allowed people to go to the garage across the street and bring in cans of beer!

I would like to share for staff not to throw left over drink on the floor outside and tip away properly eg sink and it will smell over time and for light outside at night after you are closed as this is a nice building why not let people see it at night like the old days the used to be lights on all the time just to make the place look lively and mite get more people come to have a drink or eat food

They got my wife's order wrong and we told the server she said "I'm just go to have to throw it out if you don't take it "

I must admit I was a bit Sceptical about this place as we arrived but I was proved very wrong !! The food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Dessert was a good size and again tasty. Food was definatly value for money. Chef came out and made sure we were happy. Service was good. Recently taken over, so my advise is go and give it a visit . You won't be disappointed !

Went in cherry tree for lunch yesterday the food and service were second to none, brilliant value for money, prawn cocktail was awesome main meal from lunchtime saver menu was lovely, young lad who was the chef I guess was very polite, definitely go back again 😊

Pop down for later lunch / early dinner and it was amazing and the dessert was so good will be come back and with the family ..

Food better than last time we went

Decided to go to eat as new owners have taken over. Well it was amazing 👏 curry and a drink for £10.50 it was lovely. Curry naan and poppadom very filling. Will be returning as so many weekly offers on the menu.

Atmosphere improved immensely. Here for the football, Staff are lovely including Josh one of the bar staff. Cowboy burger was lovely and came out quick.

Came here last year and the service/food was terrible. Didn't plan on coming back but recently noticed it was under new management, so decided to give it another go. Me and my children have been here twice now since it's been under new management and both times the food was a million times better than our previous visit last year, staff are friendly and you are made to feel welcome. Will definitely be a regular here now.

Came here last years and it wasn't worth a stars. Now recently, been taken over by new management, and we decided to give it another try. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food is 100% better and worth a visit. The only criticism would be down to Marstons. The wording on the menu for lasagne with salad dressing is false advertising as what it actually is, is lasagne with a few leaves of lettuce. Come on, Marstons, you can afford to do better.

Great find when heading out for some lunch with my family. Spectacular Burger (my 11 year olds words) and lovely jacket potato’s with veggie chilli. New landlady - Gemma very friendly and welcoming. No ginger beer, no lime for soda & lime. Waited for ages for food (hardly any people in the pub) when it arrived everything was over cooked. Not going again.

Swearing customers which I understand is not the fault of the proprietors. It just reflects the area! Harsh lighting in restaurant created a poor atmosphere. Prawn Cocktail starter was disappointing.

Mains where amazing absolutely enjoyed it but the desserts was a let down I got a rocky road sundae and it included vanilla and chocolate icream with brownie and marshmallows I was given a cookie dough Sundae with chocolate sauce whipped cream ,marshmallows and no brownie not exactly what I ordered and I was with another person to not get our desserts at the same time was yet again another let down.

Came here to eat and ordered from the festive set menu. Staff complained to us that they had only received our order today despite us emailing a month prior, and again a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a burger and asked for cheddar instead of brie & meat to be well done, explaining that this is because I am pregnant. When the food arrived, it wasn’t edible. The chips were drenched in grease and the burger had been massively over-cooked to the point where it was rock hard. I politely asked the waitress if I could send this back and have something else (nachos as these are quick and easy). The waitress was very dismissive however agreed to ask the kitchen. Shortly after, a member of staff came over to me, still unsure whether she was the chef or manager. She stood over me, raised her voice at me and said that I had “asked for the burger to be cooked like this” I again explained I am not able to eat the meal and just wanted something else, no fuss. She then said me and my friends did not pay a deposit (despite staff telling my friend not to worry earlier today as we would just pay this before we left). She also said they had no idea we were even coming until today. At this point I’m in complete shock and asking her not speak to me like this, she took the food and from that point on the waitress and manager no longer served us. The waitress had seen me crying in response to this treatment, however nothing was done, no apology was made. As we left, they both perked up and prepared our bill. Despite having ample chance here to apologise or offer compensation this did not happen. Overall left feeling very disheartened and will not be returning. We were one of maybe 3 tables eating on a Sunday evening, and it’s clear why.

Went for an early dinner today, the pub was completely quiet despite providing an interesting looking festive menu, there was a couple other groups. Was surprising to see such few people here, which didn’t make quite a thrilling atmosphere. The food was average, I’d say take it or leave it but me and my party were surprised by an outburst occur at a table that was seated nearby, with a food complaint resulting in the presumed chef shouting at a customer about their food. We found this treatment shocking and unpleasant, as it had left the customer in tears. Our service was thankfully much better than this, in that we weren’t shouted at. However the food was average and we won’t be in a rush to come again.

I was fortunate enough to win Sunday lunch for 4 with wine. I was sceptical after seeing the reviews but it was free so we gave it a go. Omg! It was the best roast I have had for ages. Great selection of veg on my plate. Sprouts, not hard and not soggy, just perfect. Carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, red cabbage, mashed swede, mash potatoes and roast potatoes. The Yorkshire bud was huge and the gravy lovely. It was like a proper home cooked Roast. Meat was lovely and a generous serving. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even asking if we wanted extra gravy. Ignore the negative reviews and make up your own mind. We couldn’t fault it. Even though it was free I would happily pay the usual £10 for it.

You can forget the old reviews on here because it is so improved. Good choice of meals. Very pleasant to eat here. New management, new positive approach and old customers should come and see the difference.

£3 for a small lemonade, rip off, grass needs cutting in the beer garden. Not my cup of tea

UPDATE: I previously left a very negative review. Old landlord with bad attitude who I spoke to in 2021 has now moved on and is under new management. Haven't visited since but why not give this place a try?

Had our hen/stag do there on Saturday the 17th June the team went above and beyond from the decorations to the service we had the best night better than I thought it would be, I've had lots off positive comments feedback from family and friends who joined us
