Subway in Norwich

ANYONE WITH ALLERGIES, INTOLERANCES OR CERTAIN DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AVOID!! Went to subway in the co-op today with my friend who is a coeliac and we were horrified by the hygiene standards at the sandwich station. There was very obviously a new employee who was unsure on most procedures and gave the lady before us her choice of sandwich filling on a bread which wasn’t available for that specific choice. When the other worked came over and said to her that you can’t use that bread the lady proceeded to pick up the chicken she had placed on the wrong bread and put it back into the chicken tub. This is so incredibly wrong on so many levels. My friend who is a coeliac was horrified as they have listed the chicken on their displayed allergens sheet as being ‘gluten free’. This level of contamination would put her in the hospital. The lady then went to re use the same bit of bread that she used for the woman before us despite me asking for a different type of bread and a bigger size. The lovely lady who went before us then told the workers that her mother is a vegetarian and if she would have used that same bit of bread for her veggie mother’s sandwich she would have been fuming. For a shop to so proudly display that they do have gluten free elements and that they can cater for allergies and intolerances the practice we witnessed was not only horrifying but incredibly worrying. I also requested some nachos and the lady had absolutely no understanding of what I was asking. The male worker who made my nachos made a point of saying how he had changed his gloves after we had raised concerns about their hygiene due to my supposed gluten allergy. I had told them that it wasn’t me who had the allergy but my friend and also that the nachos they had just served me wouldn’t be gluten free as they are the cheese Doritos. I understand that cross contamination cannot be guaranteed however the complete and utter ignorance towards this really serious issue from the workers today was shocking. The sheer disregard for any common sense regarding allergies and dietary choices was appalling. A vegetarian who hasn’t had meat for a very long time may potentially react horrifically if they had the bread that previously had chunks of chicken on it as well as ANYONE with a gluten allergy but even an intolerance at this point would also potentially be hospitalised. Absolutely horrific practice and I will be reporting this to the Food Standard Agency who are responsible for your food hygiene rating as this should absolutely not be happening. Your 5 star rating does not reflect your practice. If I could give this review 0 stars I would.

Service is friendly and helpful. Usually get teriyaki chicken wrap which is yummy, and tried footlong churroh with toffee sauce - ooh la la 👌

the driver went everywhere else first nearly 2 miles before delivering to me it seems he was doing other jobs where as I am 3 minutes from the store ordered from, the food was cold and pretty much inedible, it had all been squashed up and was a mess

First time coming to this subway, would NOT recommend. Went and asked for my order, accidentally got the bread wrong which is a simple mistake but the worker began to put the filling on the wrong bread, which I asked him to change it he then picked up the filling of the bread and put it back which is not okay because of allergies. When he opened the lid to the food there was lots of flies coming out. Drippy staff wouldn’t recommend

the driver never even showed up at the door and marked it as delivered I have a ring door bell and was stood at the door and no one ever shew up

I am so not happy first of all they gave me the wrong bread. Doritos and salsa was horrible and the Doritos was burnt. Hash browns where coke

Lorraine and her colleague were simply awesome today, the freshest ingredients and best service I have ever had from any subway globally. It's so refreshing to have such good service and food. They have a couple of new dressings and I was able to taste them before I even ordered. I will be making this place my go to place for any future Subway. Thanks ever so much for my delicious sandwich ladies and keep up the great/fantastic work. I had the footlong notorious sandwich on Italian bread and it is pictured below.

wrong drink and items missing from order.

Could be more generous with the salad boxes when you’re paying a decent amount. Had maybe one squirt of salsa on my nacho’s. Disappointing

I'm a vegetarian and I want to pick up my plant patty subway and they gave me chicken and bacon. I took a bite before I realised. I'm also Muslim so I have never eaten bacon in my life. When I called them they told me they didnt know how it happened, and they could refund me tomorrow. Not going to lie, I'm less upset about the £3.70 and more that they served me meat and the best they could offer is a refund. I took pictures with the order receipt as proof. If you have dietary requirements, I'd strongly advise you check your food thoroughly before eating.

Ordered 4 items through Uber Eats and only received 1…called the Subway and they said they packed the entire order however all I received was one bag. I then phoned the Uber driver who claimed they only gave her the one bag…to me this looks like Subway staff are being absolutely lazy and also unhelpful by telling me to phone Uber Eats as they can’t do anything, but they’re the ones who failed to pack my order…????

You delivered cheese and onion crisps. I ordered ready salted. It's a fail even though the sub was nice, and arrived early. Disappointing.

every time i come in here the same rude workers tell me i can’t have what i want, even though it’s clearly in stock? they don’t deny it’s in stock by they said i can’t buy it because it needs to be “kept for tomorrow”… whether i buy it or tomorrows customer buys it, you get the same amount of money so why deny me it??? it’s ridiculous now and a very strange poor excuse.

I usually order from here, but delivering a cold chicken wrap is the worst of a kind.

A lot of options for food weren't available but it was alright otherwise

When first ordered it said del between 15.55_16.05 it then changed and changed again 3 times it changed I would not have ordered if knowing that my order was accepted at 15.31 food was finally delivered at 16.50 and its all now gone in the bin because its stone cold

Sent me a tuna 6inch twice when I didnt add tuna I wanted a plain roll as my daughter is allergic to tuna so I had to take it off her before she took a bite

Always order from here, took ages for a driver to be assigned. Restaurant said they wouldn’t prepare subs until driver assigned. They were freezing cold when they got to us, which isn’t normally the case.
