KFC in Norwich

Me and my son like chicken, so KFC is one of our favourite chicken places. The only thing I would want improved is the type of chicken one receives in a family bucket. I would have liked to have been able to eat a thigh, but as it was just one my son had it. Perhaps it would be advisable to give 2 of each chicken part. We had 3 or 4 drumsticks, one thigh, and one wing a bit of breast on it. Their chips were quite good, though!

This visit was the final nail in the coffin for me, this is not the only terrible KFC in Norwich, nor our first disappointment. The girl who served us was polite and helpful but was clearly peeved my 80yr old mother had questions about what to order and we didn't use the screens. The chicken pieces were luke warm, not so my almost cold tower burger which was dry with hardly any sauce and the "bread" was awful, not stale, don't think that's scientifically possible but you know what I mean. Couldn't clear up afterwards as all the bins were full. Yes, I could have complained, but my Mother didn't want to and was worried about what would happen to our "fresh" food if we did. Let's be honest, I shouldn't have to. A company in the game for this many years shouldn't be messing stuff up like this, the fact it was lunchtime and barely busy, shows others already knew what we found out. I'll never eat KFC here or at Longwater ever again, and would now think twice anywhere. Thankfully in Norwich your choices are legion.

Very dirty, bins over flowing. Very slow service, chicken I ordered was pink

I visited the KFC location on chapelfield on August 20, 2024, at 4 pm, and was appalled by the behavior of the girl at the till. She was extremely rude and unprofessional, not only to me but also to another customer who was trying to pay with cash.The food was subpar, and the service was even worse. I ordered chicken buket , but what I got was uncooked chicken oily and so much of salt in it. I was expecting the usual KFC quality and friendly service, but this visit fell far short. Hopefully, the management will take steps to address these issues and improve the customer experience."

They called out my number and gave me my meal but didn’t check what number i was when i collected it. I ordered a large meal and was given a regular and when i went to explain it to them they just chucked a small extra in my bag and just gave it to me. Then i found out they swapped mine and another customers meal and just shrugged it off. I didn’t end up getting anything large and it was all regular size. The way they communicate isn’t very clear and they are extremely rude, using foul language with customers. They just chuck the ready orders at the front in a pile. Not good service at all.

Ordered 18mins ago and we were told to wait another 20min which is so ridiculous

Do they use sparrows now? I was flabbergasted when I received my £8.99 meal. I've not been for a few years and remember them serving a decent sized burger, chicken and fries. What I got was a pathetic excuse of cost cutting shrinkflation. I won't be going back to KFC again.

This place is nice and the service is quick but they often are unable to fulfill orders and honestly do not have great customer service about it when they do. I dont go to KFC that much yet twice they have not had what I ordered which is a problem with the machines I think but still annoying. When they cannot fulfill your order the first thing they do is try to make you pick another item even if it is of less value which is annoying like I paid an extra 20p for a special drink yet instead I get a normal drink and not my money back and honestly like I wish they could be less abrasive about it or a bit apologetic like its kinda unpleasant. Before when they didnt have a ice cream I'd ordered they originally refunded me like 40p short as thed refunded me for a small one even though id ordered a large one and I didn't want to pay 40p for something I didn't get yet they where pretty rude about it which isn't great customer service tbh. Overall its quick and the foods good but the service can be pretty bad and they often don't have what you ordered Edit:oh they also dont take cash which is annoying

lady was so rude and was not interested in helping any customers, had to wait 10 minutes for anyone to even serve on the till and then had to wait ages for food, the wrap wasn’t even toasted and was cold and thrown in the bag, my friend ordered on the machine and had no receipt printed so didn’t even know order number

Got my order wrong my mums burger was raw, had no napkins, tables were dirty.

Cold chips, rock hard batter on chicken, no hot drinks, one of our meals only had 7 chips, and too much salt on them.

Went to grab a bite with my husband John and my two daughters,it was so packed that I got pushed to the floor and couldn’t get up.After several minutes of being on the floor I finally got up and decided to shrug it of since I am a very forward woman and got the courage to finally order my meal since my family was soooo hungry that we could eat a horse!! I went up to the till and I was served by this rude,horrible,vicious girl who was at least 16 and went I asked for extra chicken she screamed at me and said NO YOU WILL NOT HAVE EXTRA CHICKEN YOU FAT OLD LADY. After that horrible experience we finally sat down and got our meals!! Then suddenly we heard a chicken sound and then we looked there was an alive chicken running around and pecking people!! I screamed and then the chicken looked at me and started charging towards me then finally it pinned me down and started pecking me.I was later rushed to hospital and was in there for several long hours and my poor family could not scrub away the horrible trauma of me being attacked..

Trying to redeem a reward on the KFC app brought down their system after which they needed to reboot their till and then they still couldn't get it to work. In the end they just gave me the reward anyway but beware you may be waiting quite a while if you simply want to redeem a reward and it crashes their entire till system!

Unclean and so slow, pretty sure they're culling live chickens in the back per order.

Not only did they get our order wrong but the staff refused to give a refund which is not acceptable. They then tried to argue about why we came to KFC and then tell us that no other person complains. Well I hope that they do better cause to be honest I am disappointed with this KFC if you order extra in your meal and pay for it you should get extra in your meal its not that hard really and keeping customers happy should be top of the list.

Absolutely love KFC! My favourite order is the Zinger stacker meal. Amazing burger, so delicious. Kfc chips/ fries are so awful so I buy some tenders instead most of the time. The two layers of chicken work so well. The crispy and soft chicken is prefect! I love the supercharger sauce as well, the best spicy mayo. The gravy isn’t the best but it’s nice to dunk the burger/ tenders in. Definitely would recommend!

After 20 minutes I asked where is my food and they lost my ticket I had to show them my order I had to wait another 10 minutes and got served my food frozen then when I complained they touched it with there bare hands and said I will toast it I asked for a refund they refused!!!

Ordered Via Deliveroo. Hour late. Thank the lord for microwaves.£2.70 for two poxy chicken wings. About 6 chips. Chicken wasn't too bad but for the price don't bother.

Bargain bucket was a bargain with burnt chicken which tasted way too salty, lady replaced it, but with chicken which was full of oil. Girl on the floor, not attentive at all, dirty tables which needed cleaning, wasn't busy, but yet she just walks around pretending she's busy. Lady (supervisor maybe) at the front should be checking the orders making sure it's correct, as within 5 minutes, 3 different orders were incomplete.

Decent KFC. Fast to delivery food and always pretty good. Occasionally machines play up so just take a picture of your order number Incase a receipt doesn't print. Low calorie options available that are actually filling. Recommend the rice box with an extra chicken fillet

We use these food halls alot and always enjoy the experience.

Always get hot wings from KFC otherwise why would I go. Really nice hot wings better than the ones at Longwater by a mile.

me and my friend went to this kfc to order food, which was easy enough then once we ordered we went into this seating area which looked closed but we assumed that nobody has just sat there during the day…then this rude lady shouts from the till ‘girls that areas closed’ with a tone like we’ve done something wrong - they had no sign saying that. we sat in the other area and my friend who ordered after me gets her food first and then the same lady who shouted at us came over and told me they didn’t have the 3pc chicken wings that i ordered, so offered me a another thing which was a 1pc drumstick - which was unfair as i just ordered 3pc chicken, she threw it onto the table and forgot my chips so i had to go up there again and get them… the atmosphere was dirty and greasy - they deserve 0 stars, do not recommend.

Staff are rude as hell when the close at 6pm is approaching. They need to learn how to say the word "please". Chicken was also dry and chips cold. Bad experience and worst KFC I've had in a long time.

Wrap was not even toasted and was stone cold, Sent back, 2nd wrap stone cold, 3rd time lucky I hoped but gave up still stone cold . How hard is it to keep the chicken hot??

Awful!! Used the pay machines which were dirty!!! Didn’t have table number cards and didn’t get a receipt. Very long wait for food. Once I got food they had dumped four meals into two of the box meals. I asked them to check the food was all there and the uninterested girl on the counter just looked at me like “are you asking me to do some work” in hindsight it makes sense as the majority of staff had just been standing about while there were massive queues. While having this conversation a lady came to the counter to complain she had cold chicken (a bit worrying). So went back to my table and half my food was missing. I head back to till and no one again wanted to help. In the end I asked for a Manager. Some person supposedly a manager turns up and put up an argument about giving me a refund. While this is happening another lady complained due to a member of staff swearing at her. All in all a car crash. Clearly badly organised and lacking any real managers.

Monday 26th December 2022 at 3pm, the Zinger burger (normally the best) was awful, because the chicken was hard, barely any sauce. The chips were worse than usual, and the mash was awful, too soft! I would NEVER return to this franchise as the queue was time wasting for this excuse for kfc.

Came after lunch rush and ordered we we ordered through the kiosk and we waited 30 minutes on our order we only ordered a wrap and a 4 piece boneless meal overly salted chicken real small portion of fries friendly staff but don't put alot of salt on the chicken

Really great chickhen Fresh and hot chickhen and fries. And the taybles and chiars and floor are clean. And The service to hand out our food was fast. And the customer service was excelent. Will come agine.

Awful experience. They deserve 0. I waited to order for over 15 mins in KFC Chapel field this evening . One of the customer assistant then said they are closed. I asked her why she didn't tell me when I queued up and she started being rude and telling me she can't be in' two places at the same time'. That infuriated me and I told her she will have to serve me, why did she serve others who were in front of me and didn't tell me in time that they had closed than leaving me in the queue. She started threatening me with security and told me she wasn't going to serve. I told her I had nothing to fear, she can bring security. Now I wonder if this has anything to do with Skin Colour? 🤔. She surely didn't have problem serving others before me. I have escalated the matter. I am not going to have anyone treating me or any other customers like trash. This person lacks professionalism. She didn't even apologise, she was very rude. She can dish it out but not take it!! Awful customer service

Would give it a zero if I could. Went in with my family order our food to dine in waited for half an hour for it the order was not complete and completely wrong order boneless got wing inside the zinger burger. By the time we got our food they where closing and it look like they forgot about our order and only remembered when they realised we were still waiting so what we got looked like what ever was left terrible service will never go back again.

Over half my order was missing and found human hair in my food, when I called deliveroo I was told to take the issue up with the store, the person at the store was incredibly rude, refused refund or replace the items said I would have to take it up with deliveroo whom I contacted again who also refused to replace or refund me. Absolutely shocking service and the fact I still have not been refunded when this is a food hygiene issue is repulsive. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

My daughter and I have a boneless fillet meal, the fries were cold and the chicken fillet which was in a bun tasted awful so I cut it open and the chicken was yellowy pink. Looked awful so I took it back, was not offered a replacement or a refund. Will not be using your establishment again

I ordered A Busket of 10 chicken wings with Large chips and Drink . My 5 years Daughter and me waited more than 35 minutes still food wasn't ready ,when I asked the staff about my food they didn't bother to tell me anything . After long wait I had to Asked for refund. Date was 8/10/2022 Time 1.48pm

Burger came with chewed gum in box from employees, then was told it couldn’t have been as they are not allowed gum, they insisted it came from me. Employees were also rude and shouted. Employee name were John and the lady at tills hid her name tag and refused to tell me her name, obviously knowing she was wrong.

VERY DRY CHICKEN !!!!! Should take lessons from kfc in Sudbury suffolk,where i ate chicken which was moist, succulent and so impressed that i posted photos on there review. Check it out

Ditto many other comments went Yesterday, 3rd September 2022. AWFUL!! We were asked if we were eating in, we replied yes, No tray no soviets essentially eating Dry over cooked chicken off the table, refused to accept old paper Twenty pound note that is still legal tender. Never going to KFC ever again. Who ever the manager is needs sacking or maybe this is the KFC standard.

I have never seen a restaurant takeaway so dirty food all over the floor tables not cleared slow service the staff were just in a different world where is KFC standards this should go viral disgusting

I ordered on the app as had some offers I wanted to use. There were 4 members of staff all waiting to bag up orders. One thought it was hilarious to suction a cup onto her elbow, not so great if you've ordered a drink and get that cup though! The food was thrown in the bag, drinks were poured but not given unless asked for. Distinctly looked like it was lacking management. This is also the rudest place to be approaching 6pm. They will shut bang on 6 and they will stack furniture dangerously while there are customers and mop the floors.

Waited over 15 minutes for food, I could see they were missing the beans, so 15 minutes for some beans to be prepared! Whilst waiting I witnessed the worst service imaginable. The only noise that any team member spoke were numbers. Even when I ordered at the till the employee just stared at me and never said a word. One person ordered just 2 crushems, they were handed to them and one was only a 1/3rd full. The person had to complain to another team member and there wasn’t even an apology. Maybe train your team to learn to talk to people, after all you supposedly deal with the general public as well as delivery drivers. I would start with “thank you for your order “ and maybe if the team can handle it “enjoy your meal”. Maybe hire team members that can just talk with words and not just yell out order numbers. Judging by the recent reviews though I am guessing management don’t care as you haven’t learnt from previous reviews.

Terrible experience, ordered from just eat, food arrived cold, they'd replaced the Gravy for beans without telling us, no drinks were delivered even though we ordered meals. Ended up putting in the bin and awaiting a refund

Shocking staff on phones. Wrong order given to me took 25mins to cook mine and wifes meal and there was only 5 people in the queue and sat down. Should of gone next door to Mcdonald.

Glacial service, when taking my order I was met with a silent stare, not even a what would you like? Complete silence throughout ordering...very weird. When food finally arrived I was informed there were no more sides left.. no apology just Xtra fries. At the very least KFC should employ people with the power of speech!

I've been here lots of tmes and the sevice has been fine went today waited in line for about 10 minutes then a lady pushed in and got served finely ordered and had to wait again I asked for my money back as I was on my lunch break o had been waiting 15 minutes at that point they seem more concerned about getting their orders out for just eat rather that the people waiting not good

Come here often but service is terrible as in every other KFC I have ever been, if my wife and girls didn’t like the chicken I could easily go without going to KFC again. Tables usually dirty, seats and floors. The self-service screen: 1 - No receipts “there should be a note stating that there is no print out of your order so clients could memorise order number? 2 - Everything on screen is available to order but when you go collect your order you are then told what’s not available ex “mash, corn” Surely it should say as end when you order !!! Staff not very helpful at all even after you explain that there are no print outs for your order they just look at you like they got no idea what’s going on round them completely oblivious to what their job is?

Ordered my food then started looking at the tables (not one without rubbish and packaging on it) the screens for ordering flickered and not visible and then waited 25 minutes for my meal, complained to customer services who gave me a voucher for £10, but on trying to use it in a different one was told it wouldn't work, Complained again to customer service and no reply, I don't normally bother with this sort of stuff but if this is normal I wonder how they are still in business.

This is the 5th time we have been to KFC in as many weeks. Everytime our burgers and chips have been cold, and even the gravy now. We were waiting 15minutes during a quiet period and then another 15minutes for our burgers to be remade with barely any sauce in them. The drinks aren't being filled and they have no lids again

Terrible experience here. Made my order nothing special just wrap of the day, it was busy with approx 15 people waiting for food 4 people serving 3 just stood with their backs to counter chatting 1 bloke making all the drinks. Queue got bigger and bigger but no food coming out people started going to counter asking what's going on, it all got a bit tense then people stated getting refunds and walking away when their order was called. After 20 mins my number was called, got to counter only to be told sorry no wraps. We've run out. I was told I could reorder but would be at back of queue. Wraps had run out hrs ago but they didn't know how to take them off the electronic order board so loads of people in the queue would also have been waiting for wraps. I got a refund and went elsewhere but I told everyone I walked past in the queue there were no wraps and about 10 others people who'd all been waiting ages then headed to the counter for refunds. Communication and organisation was a shambles, no wonder the staff couldn't face the customers. People were waiting 20 to 30 minutes to find all or part of their orders were not available.

Food wasn't great on this visit had to wait ages for food and by the time they gave it to me certain elements of my meal were luke warm.

Twice now I’ve ordered from you and both times the service has been appalling both orders wrong first order should of been 6 chicken 2 fries large gravy I received 4 fry’s no gravy second order today I ordered 6 chicken 2 fries large gravy I received 6 chicken 1 very small fries and mashed potato I can’t work out how you can mix up mash potato and gravy first time I put it down to bad luck but twice on the trott shows poor customer service disgusting food I will never order from here again it’s a joke and going by your reviews the majority agree get a grip kfc

Ordered through Deliveroo and ordered for three people. 3 individual meals. One meal turned up without a drink or the side, one meal turned up with no chips, no side and no drink, the third meal didn’t show up at all. Absolute disgrace from the staff and management at this store.

When you end up in Norwich with a bunch of Uni friends and you realize that there’s KFC, you have to go. I grew up going to the original KFC in Utah, and seeing this while I was away from home studying made it feel like I had the best of all the worlds! Great food worldwide apparently, and of course all the fun was had!

Yesterday, I order twister box meal for take out. Not only the machine had a problem and didn't give me a receipt but I also was waiting there to collect my order for more than 30 minutes. At end when I when home to eat my meal, I realise that my order was wrong. Instead of sweatcorn, they put in my box meal beans and they didn't put in my box a straw for my drink.

The first bucket of chicken was cold, I mean not even like warm, the second bucket was hot but dry, overcooked as far as we are concerned. We love KFC but not on this occasion. We won't be using this particular one again

The food is lovely, tropical KFC which we like, but the service today seemed utterly chaotic, a lot of fed up looking customers, really long wait for food compared to other fast food outlets. The poor bloke serving food apologised and made light of the delay, some young Male member of staff had a higher fringe which wasn't tied back. Food, lovely, service chaotic, slow and a little stressy. And the two cold drinks we ordered were less than half full! Honestly ive just seen all the negative reviews for this place, it doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is there is no feedback from KFC!

I ordered a party bucket. When we came home we find out was missing fries and hot wing. I live 20 miles aways didn't bother come back. Really disappointed.

This was one of the worse experiences I've ever had at a KFC. None of the touch screens were working so had to stand in a que for almost 15 minutes I wouldn't of minded but I was first in line, then had to wait approx 15 minutes for my food and when I finally sat down to eat my boneless banquet the chicken and chips were cold, the popcorn was so hot I couldn't eat it straight away and apparently now we only get half measures in our cups. You can safely say under no circumstances will I be eating here again.

The staff was friendly enough but there was not enough choice me and my friends wanted a bargain bucket but they didn't do it so we all ended up with 3 pieces of chichen on the bone and fries each and a Cole well the chichen was awful it didn't have any taste. All tables dirty at time of visit, food was cold asked for a replacement chicken burger we got but they forgot the fries ,we cod not eat the food ,the worst kentucky we have ever visited, all staff very young , which us fine but they seemed disinterested as though none wanted to be there,left our food the filthy tables around d were too off putting, floor very dirty requires sweep wash.

If the server on the order section had stopped chatting to a girl he might have noticed a que forming. Even after she moved to collect he still couldn't see the queue. Such a shame because everyone else was great and so was the food.

I would give no stars if I could. It was the worst kfc I've ever had. We had things missing from our order. It was cold and extremely greasy. We had a 10 piece bargain bucket and didn't get one piece of breast meat. When I rang to say some of our order was missing I was told its nothing to do with them I I should take it up with just eat, even though they were the ones who cooked the horrible food and messed up the order. I will never order from this restaurant again

Absolutely 💯 waste of money. No fries in order we received also wrong drink. This is about the 3rd time we have had these issues. Save your money and go to macca's

Over 40 minute wait for 3 pieces of chicken and popcorn chicken. Literally everyone else was served before us and staff were trying their best but clearly prioritizing delivery orders. Not a very good location, way too hot and unclean. We felt ill in the amount of time we had to wait and in the end was horrible tasting chicken. I am a patient person but this was taking the p a bit!! Would never return.
