Delightful Desserts in Norwich

They have clearly chanted ownership. So simple put the crepes was chewy and rubbery ice cream was freezer burnt still got ice in it tasted very artificial. Buttt the waffle was very nice really good intact it’s a shame. Also the milkshake was nice too. Weird mix and very weird atmosphere

This summer I have enjoyed one of the best desserts milkshake and waffles at castle quarter. 😋😋😋

Zahid was very friendly, he delivered excellent customer service. The atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Definitely recommend!

Very Nice! Alot of choice, Calm, never waited to long. Just sad there's not a loyalty kind of system. EDIT : removed my 5 star, i dont know if they changed owner, but it changed. Food is still fine ish but cold, i came few days ago. My nephew soda was just gived to him straight in cans (they used to give u cute glass and ice). The place is not cute and quiet anymore, loud ghetto music, staff kept staring and laughing like they were mocking us.. felt uncomfortable the all time. Was my place of choice for familly and friend meeting, not anymore.

Food was good, it was really hard work for the two people working here! They were really busy and the wait time was pretty long. The food tasty, maybe a bit expensive for what it was.

This is a terrible establishment. We ordered from here, hoping for a nice sweet treat, and were left disappointed, upset, and unimpressed. Only two out of our three waffles actually arrived. The ice cream was half melted and definitely vanilla (we ordered cookie dough). It took an hour for delivery! And then when we called up to enquire about the missing item, we were faced with a clearly intoxicated, incapable employee, who couldn’t understand that there was an item missing and then when finally grasped this concept was completely unable to help- we were told she was the ‘manager’ and yet had no idea how to help us with this issue (based on our experience this must have happened before to other people). Absolute waste of money. Food: cold, chewy and bland. Customer service: appalling. Overall experience: would never return or recommend to my worst enemy. Some very disgruntled customers

I had cookie dough and ice cream a while ago it was so good! I also go in for slushies regularly and honestly im in love, I will definitely be coming back for the cookie dough again and will continue with different items off the menu too xx

Had the Biscoff waffle with caramel cream and vanilla ice cream. Was really nice lots of crumble probably not enough sauce for my taste. Paid additionally for squirty cream. £8 quite a lot to pay though!

Very clean and tidy. Good customer service with a smile on their face. Lots of varieties in the menu. Seems under new management. Will be back soon.

I went here once so when I got here for the 2nd time I expected the same quality. No. I was given a stick waffle that was RAW on the inside. I am disgusted by this service and will 100% NOT be coming back.

Whilst they have a huge variety of foods, I ordered from here last month and got 2 weeks worth of food poisoning, and so did my friends. I was in agony only 5 minutes after finishing my food. I do not recommend ordering off the menu from here, only the ice creams. I will post a picture of what I ordered.

Great dessert place . Only tried the waffles but decent portion size for the price. We had to wait 45 mins when only about 4 people in the shop but was worth the wait . Only gripe was the very unfriendly lady serving . No greeting or communication what so ever . Or eye contact . I told her my order, paid, and she took the reciept and walked off literally not a word was said. She was like it for everyone , didn’t even look at them when they came to the till. I also didn’t realise they did childrens portions , my fault for over looking it in the menu , would be helpful under crepes/ waffles if it had a subheading saying any of the ones listed below can be done in a child’s portion for X amount as we wasted a lot of food.

Lovely place to visit, lots of variety on the menu, great customer service, ice cream tastes amazing and so many to choose from!

Went here for an iced smoothie (ice crusher), which cost £3.75. This was advertised on the menu by a photo showing a thick, colourful fruity smoothie which is not an accurate representation of what we received. The smoothie was very liquidy, colourless, and tasteless, the complete opposite of that advertised on the menu. It had no distinguishable flavour and was mainly made up of ice and water which is not what I spent £3.75 to receive. I came with friends who got other desserts such as cookie dough and ice cream which they were also thoroughly disappointed with. I would certainly not recommend buying desserts from this restaurant and will not be coming back unless improvements are made.

Absolutely incredible customer service, Staff are so polite and smiling the whole time. They made the Desserts very quickly and efficiently! Definitely coming back and would recommend!

Had a stick waffle today. I ordered it with chocolate sauce and Oreo topping. And it was simply delicious, mind blowing. Loved it.

First and last visit today 14/04/23. Rubbish Sundae. Cream awful, tiny amount of icecream, just cheap, nasty and unpleasant. Staff unfriendly too. Lousy value.

I've been several times as it's really close to me. My favourite thing to have - which I had this most recent time - is the classic crepe, just crepe, lemon and sugar. It really is yum. I've never had a bad experience, so a bit surprised and sad to see other complaints on here, just thought it was worth including my good experience/s for balance.

The large selection of vegan waffles, pancakes, crepes and also cakes was a pleasant surprise ☺️ I had the vegan biscoff cheesecake, which was huge, and a tea. It's been pretty empty on a Friday evening, service was quick and friendly. Great if you're on the hunt for a sweet vegan treat! I'd mention though that it's very bright and open towards the mall, so it's not the most cosy place for a hot drink and a cake if that's what you're after!

After a couple of hours at Boom Battle Bar we were ready for something sweet! We loved the desserts ,we had a combination of hot and cold dishes ,all were served at same time by friendly efficient staff .Will certainly go back when we have a chance.

They have a separate vegan menu!! Amazing. I go for the strawberry waffle or pancake stack and love it every time. Service depends on how many people are on shift at the time but other than that the food is great. Try the vegan option!

I can't say I rate this place highly. It wasn't busy when I visited with just one other table of three customers. Unfortunately my order arrived burnt and I had to request a replacement which thankfully came out okay, my friend's drink order didn't come with his food and had to be requested again. I observed the other table receive their order, well part of it. They only brought the table one plate, I watched as the table complained and the remaining two dishes and their three drinks finally arrived some time later. In short, it seems every order was somehow messed up. I've given a sympathetic 2 stars because the staff were good during their interactions and when the food which wasn't burnt showed up was actually quite nice.

Ordered from Just Eat and the food was burnt on the outside and tasted awful. Sizes are so small for the price you pay. Called up to complain and was told I would get vouchers and this was over a week ago and yet to have received these.. SHOCKING

The ice cream tasted as if it had been melted and the frozen again a few times and the pistachio even had ice pieces in it. The bubblegum ice cream was a right old mess and stained the kids clothing and hands [it did not wash off easily at all]. I personally wouldn't have again incase its at the same quality as today.

Very slow service. Waffle was lovely however could have done with more sauce over it & a larger portion of ice cream. My daughters cookie dough was burnt in the centre. Menu choice was exceptional though. Just needs a little training on the service aspect.

Took 10 minutes to get served and 20 minutes until they started to make the order. A lot more important things than making sure customers get there food within a reasonable time here. Wouldn’t be visiting again

Well this was a delightful surprise in Castle mall, loved it . And it was fast serving.

This is the only place in Norwich for desserts. We absolutely love it! Highly recommended 👌

The ice cream was nice enough, but it didn't come in a cone - perhaps that was my fault for not asking for one, but it wasn't even offered. Happy to take that on the chin. But the poor review is mainly because the staff were devoid of smiles, energy, spirit, kindness, interest or welcomeness. Not sure the server said anything she didn't have to - not even a thank you. It's quite a drab grey place (why?), and with the staff today it was really quite depressing. For takeaway (uber eats) where you don't have to interact with the 'people' maybe it's fine.

Such amazing cakea. Unfortunately the 2 things i wanted at first they were out of however their rainbow cake was amazing! I did think at first the portions were quite small for the price but to be honest the cake is very sickly and i barely finished my slice, my sister is a monster and used a fork to eat her cake and ice cream!!

We stopped in before axe throwing at Boom Battlebar. Overall the desserts were great and not too unreasonably priced. I would have given five stars but.... desserts came out separately and randomly group members had finished as others where starting which made the whole experience a little awkward, the fruit was thinly cut and certainly not plentiful. I would be up for trying different desserts tho!

Terrible! Waited for 20 minutes in an empty restaurant. When we asked, they hadn't even started. All they were doing was delivery orders! Had to ask for our money back, as they clearly don't care about dine in.

Stopped in for a coffee after going to the cinema...staff were lovely and coffee was too..had lots of lovely desserts on offer but we only had a hot drink...

Waited around 45 minutes still no food! 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ We had somewhere else to go and we were late!😩 Served the person after me first 😭Had to get a refund, I was really excited because the food did look nice in the counter not on my plate. 😞😢 I was ashamed that I chose to go there instead of Starbucks. 😠

Customer services are terrible waited far too long for dishes to arrive and all arrived at different times eiughym ten mins apart causing distress to some children, food itself was nice fruit slices were wafer thin but taste good overall

I come back here every week or 2, it's so good and the sundaes are my favourite! You can tell the staff are friends and it makes the environment much friendlier and nicer to be in! Can't fault this place one bit

I’ve always had an outstanding experience at Delightful desserts and I’ve returned back every week or every second week. The place is quiet and clean, how you would want a cosy space to be. My best go to place after a day of chaos at work. I’m reading reviews of previous diners also mentioning the lady staff who works at the front. I’ve been served by her multiple times and I’ve never felt her any awkward. It’s not necessary that a front of house staff has to talk to everyone all the time. Some people have their unique personality and we should be wise enough to accept that. I don’t know her at all, have seen her multiple times, and she does her work absolutely fine. In fact, she manages it all alone. Definitely a strong woman. Coming to the food, lovely options of desserts available in waffle, pancakes or crepes. I always take vegan menu, and it has a huge selection. 💚 Prices are affordable too. Will return soon. Wish I knew about this place little earlier. 💚

What a waste of money! was so inedible and customer service was appalling

Very slow staff, wasted 20 minutes of my lunchbreak. All i wanted was an iced drink that takes 2 minutes to prepare.

The service was slow waited half an hour for 2 cookie doughs, and there wasn't much cookie dough but was nice

I ordered a banoffe sundae and it took 20 minutes for it to come and the ice cream had all melted. There was no bananas in it just loads of hard toffee bits. Really disappointed not worth £6.50

First impressions as we walked In was ok very few places to sit and you are next to each other in a line . The menu looked ok once we found one . What's on the menu is a lot to pick from .then it kinda went down hill. Got to the till to order the women come to the kill and just looked at us ,no hello or what can I get you. Only time she spoke to me was to tell me the cost .there was only her and one other that you could see and it did take a long time to get our food. The waffles where ok box standard. The milk shake should of been salted caramel ,tasted only of plain ice cream. If your not worried about the customer service then pop in it's ok to pass some time . If you want some good waffles got to the other place . Some of us are very lucky to still have our jobs with covid ect so to them who work there ,try smiling being nice if not move on somone who wants a job would be happy to do it . I wouldn't go back . My stars where for wooden play bit for kids to play with and coz it was clean and stranded flavour .

Very poor service and quality, been today with my grandsons ordered them both a sundae £6.50 each paid for them and sat down and then told they had ran out of cream yesterday and also no wafers or sprinkles no refund was offered

Well…it took over an hour and although the crepe was nice I didn’t get the extra sauce I asked for and we got given icecream we didn’t ask for. Also see their ‘candy floss’ milkshake below…bit different to the bright pink milk shake with whipped cream, sauce and actual candy floss. Our milkshakes went straight in the bin as they taste like sugary milk. Both our milkshakes tasted and looked the same. Kinda disappointed to say the least

Avoid the “loaded doughnuts”… they’re a mess. Just watery sauce poured all over the place and the doughnuts collapsed under it and turned into paste. Really really bad. They were so inedible that we took a bite each and chucked them, even hammered I couldn’t subject myself to them. Also the delivery driver just dumped them on my doorstep and left, didn’t even wait 5 seconds for me to answer the door. Which was probably a smart move because if I’d have seen the order I’d have sent them back

Pancakes were tiny compared to other items we ordered (they were advertised as a stack, the pancakes themselves were barely a palm in diameter), especially considering the price. Tried to leave this review on uber eats but the feature is blocked for this place - they also refused any kind of refund. The sizes aren't advertised.

Unfortunately i wasn't home in time this evening to get a waffle delivery from Queen Waffle so i took a chance with delightful desserts in norwich. This is the worst i have had anywhere. When i called i was told to get a refund from just eat young girls didnt seem bothered about getting my order solved by sending another.

Really good selection of toppings for waffles and crepes which are good and nice to be able to eat in and get delivered. Would really recommend the white choc chip cookie dough as it was amazing!

Never ordering from here again I was on a trip to norwich and I placed a order for delivery, in the notes I wrote in capitals "IMPORTANT please send spoons and straw as I dont have any here". The delivery was 20 minuites late and didnt have anything in it, I rang them to to point out there was nothing they didnt help, I rang justeat they couldn't do anything. The supervisor said she could offer me a refund in which the manager said no refunds. So I had to take the food in and have them remake it and make sure they did it right. I paid extra 2 quid for a delivery which was pointless. £17 for mediocre food and drinks. Dont order from here if you want food done right

Do the staff make up what time they want to work till? Website clearly said open till 10 as did the side of the shop but closed at 6.45. Nothing on the website to say they may be closing early! We made this trip specifically to come to you. Worst of all because I cannot walk fast enough as heavily pregnant we then got charged car parking!

Walked in and was stood at a wait to be seated sign for a while whilst staff were just walking past and then was told twice that there would be a 15 minute wait for our order. We were sat there for 50 minutes before our two cookies and a drink turned up. Okay desserts but not really worth the wait . Also there are discrepancies between the ingredients in the online menu and in store.

The service is rubbish! The website and the Google said the store was open until 10 PM. You go there at 9:30 PM, they don't take the orders and they say they're closed. Disappointing experience. Your desserts may taste good but you are terrible at your customer service.

The best dessert place in town! Ordered the fabulous fudge crepe and a slice of their rainbow cake. The cake was moist & the buttercream in the cake was the best I've ever tasted. Great coffee too!

Too many choices to decide in but I did in the end and enjoyed it. Will go back

Ice cream tasted cheap and powdery, knickerbocker glory was just three scoops of ice cream and some sort of biscuit at the bottom

The place is really great and very clean and this is appreciated. We took a waffle and two squashes. The waffle was very fresh and tasty, although there was not enough chocolate, and therefore the taste was mostly from the waffle dough than the chocolate. The squashes were very cheap but were very very diluted. In general a decent dessert shop with space for improvements.
