The Fiveways pub in Norwich

I've been mulling over whether to do a review but best to warn people...so we were there for a 50th birthday party. We ordered some drinks and for some reason I immediately got the feeling I was being fleeced, so asked the barman to take me through the drinks pricing, as it seemed rather alot. Then I see the same barman helping himself to the buffet and thought I was on a scene from Shameless or Brassic! The final straw was ordering a half a Guinness and pint of lime & soda water for £8! It's a shame that I won't be back as we rather enjoyed the Karaoke but just the random bill pricing was too off-putting...

I had not been in for many years but stopped for a drink and take photos of the wonderful use of upcycled bicycles used to make a fence around the outside of the pub. The pub was tidy and I got a warm welcome from the bar staff and locals alike and my dog was made very welcome in the pub too. Theres a fresh pizza cabin outside that also makes burgers etc. It was a busy Friday evening on my visit and I enjoyed my visit and will go again.

Rude staff and the pub is full of rough people who think they run the pub, they didn't like the fact that I wanted to have a game of pool and made it quiet clear strangers are not welcome

Went to play some pool with a friend, she ordered a coke and I ordered a water, to which the rude lady behind the bar stated that I will not be able to use any of the commodities, such as the pool table as I am not considered a “customer”. So rude, very unfriendly atmosphere, definitely not a go to place for students!

This place looks a little run down and not currently serving food, but they serve a great pint of Neck Oil and are family friendly. The young girl behind the bar is a credit to them!

Cuando eres joven, un pub no es el primer lugar en el que esperarías que estuviéramos. Sin embargo, siendo la nuera de la nueva casera, tuve que instalarme en el pub Fiveways como segunda casa. En los últimos años, este pub ha tenido varios empleados y propietarios, pero personalmente creo que desde la perspectiva de un extraño, el propietario y la dama más nuevos han cambiado este pub para mejor. No, es posible que ya no sirvan comida, pero la atención de todo el personal es impecable y es un buen lugar para disfrutar de una bebida tranquila, ya sea alcohólica o no. Recomendaría a todos que por lo menos se esfuercen por visitar y sigan participando en el espíritu del pub (pero socialmente distante) :)

El domingo por la noche, después de que nuestra hija había competido en el Brighton Tri, llegamos a The Fiveways Pub a las 8. 30 solo 30 minutos antes de que dejaran de servir comida. No obstante, las fajitas de carne que teníamos eran frescas, picantes y deliciosas al gusto. El vino tenía un precio razonable. Hay una gran cantidad de áreas diferentes en el interior y asientos acogedores afuera. El personal fue muy acogedor.

Fui hoy para ponerme al día con un amigo y esperé más de 15 minutos para tomar una copa, el chico detrás del bar estaba ocupado con su teléfono, así que mi amigo y yo nos fuimos y fuimos al próximo pub

Friendly staff, clean premise to eat in. Very filling portions, lovely food, tasty, good value. Would happily eat there again.

I know the latest Landlady has been making such an effort to improve this place: given it's previous reputation, but what can you do without heavy investment, not only in the pub but in the surrounding area as well! The pub needs to be carpeted and curtained if only to cut out the 'f's and 'c's resonating from the pool team, who I'm sure are fine fellows, but probably shouldn't be drinking or swearing so much in a public area! You can only feel sorry for the Landlady, who obviously wants this local pub to work and which should have so much potential and maybe develop into something that benefits the community. But until there is an understanding amongst the locals that this is a business and not their private 'common' room, the pub will not attract new customers or investment and so will not improve and attract new business opportunities for the owners and the community!

Vemos el anuncio en el periódico local que The Fiveways había cambiado recientemente a los gerentes. Ahora están sirviendo comida, así que pensamos en probarlo. El menú tiene una buena selección de comida de pub. Hice que Chilli cubriera la hamburguesa y mi esposa tenía queso y beicon Hot dog. Las comidas eran preciosas, la cerveza era buena y el servicio fue muy amable. notamos que hacen música regualr en vivo así que estará listo para la próxima noche de música. me alegro de tener un buen pub local de nuevo, y con suerte los nuevos propietarios pueden hacer un verdadero éxito de este pub.
