Bakers+baristas in Norwich

Bakers and Baristas is a fantastic café in Norwich with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is excellent, and they have a great selection of treats. I had a scone with raspberry jam and cream, which was delicious and the perfect pairing with my coffee. It’s a wonderful spot to sit back, unwind, and enjoy a peaceful break. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff and amazing food! Service is quick even with big queues and there is a lot of seating! Very good spot for students to sit and revise with a drink!

Staff are friendly & the food/coffee is good. It's a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. I brought my kids here and would bring them again.

Always look forward to stopping by here. Meg and Amber are the loveliest ladies who know how to make a good coffee.

Went to the center to do some shopping. This place was busy but the staff were awesome. The lady serving Amber really goes above and beyond and is a credit to this brand

Ladies serving were warm and friendly. Unfortunately the drinks were not hot, and had more foam than coffee. We ordered a cappuccino and a latte, both not that good. Won't be going back.

Our new favourite place to lunch! My daughter spotted our local B&B do her ham and cheese croissant. She tried it, she loved it more than others available from other chains and so now it's our weekly treat to ourselves. Wonderful, friendly, quick service where nothing is too much trouble. Sometimes we eat in, sometimes we take away, all the time we love our Bakers and Baristas visits. If you haven't been to this Chantry Place one in Norwich do next time you're in the city. You deserve a treat and this is one of the best 🙂😋☕🥐

Earl Grey served in a FILTHY glass cup, when I asked for a clean one was told that it was only dirty on the outside. Won't be returning.

Staff were friendly but service was sloooow and food was bland and overpriced.

Their gluten free muffins are SO SO GOOD. I buy the blueberry ones whenever I walk past, absolutely hands-down best gf muffins I have ever had; soft without falling apart. Absolutely perfect.

The service was very nice and polite and the place is very clean, unfortunately the food tasted bland, my girlfriend had a panini and she said it tasted off and sour. The cakes here are very delicious though!!!

I got served by Megan, this young lady is absolutely lovely. She is a vast improvement over the staff that they used to have. The marshmallow cappuccino man... 😂

Went here for a milkshake which turned out to be great however the staff are very rude. Particularly the plump lad with the nose ring that clearly has no customer service skills whatsoever. Everything is a hassle and nothing is organised.

1. When I was being served, they noticed a hole in the packet of my ham and cheese sandwich 2. I went to order another ham and cheese sandwich for my mother, the sandwich coasted £3.49 , I had £3.50 , yet they tried to say that I needed 50p more! 3. There food isn't what you think it is on the packet, the sandwich said big and bright "ham and cheese" yet there was some green sause in it , the packet never mentioned this. I'm not happy with the customer service and the quality of food, I'll never be returning, if you want decent food and don't want to be ripped off, this is not the place for you...

At first, I thought this would be a nice spot to sit down with the family for a quick lunch; however, that turned into disappointment quite quickly. There were no sandwiches etc. for anyone who is vegan or vegetarian. There was a cheese, tomato and pesto sandwich, but this is not vegetarian as it contains Parmesan. This meant that despite the remainder of my family being able to have something to lunch, I had to miss out; meaning we went somewhere else later. I could have had the one option of a cupcake, but that won't suit a lunch. Therefore, we ended up just having coffee. They didn't have decaffeinated coffee, despite people that require it for health reasons. Luckily, I could have the rare caffeinated drink, so I could at least have something; however even this coffee was disappointing. They had oat milk which was good compared to their food menu, but, they only had 'standard' oat milk and not the one meant for latte's etc. meaning there was no foam etc. on the drink and ruining the flavour etc. It was okay, but, I wouldn't have the coffee there again if it remains like it. Overall, I didn't rate this café, and hope that they can take this review into account to improve.

Im so impressed. We went to Chapel Place, but I ordered from the app but chose a different t location. Realised my mistake and went onto the counter, the lady didn’t hesitate to write down my order details and then give me my order without having to pay again. The service was great and so was the coffee and muffins. Thank you

Great coffee and food but feels a little scammy... Hot chocolate is a certain price and then you must pay quite a lot extra for cream and marshmallows, left feel a little ripped off sadly.

My wife bought 4 muffins at the Chantry mall in Norwich this afternoon.. she got me a Blueberry one…. As you can see I was munching into my muffin this evening and was thinking that it was very bland in flavour and the reason for that is that it was a plain muffin with not a single blueberry in it!!!! Not a happy chappie surely someone would have noticed that there were no blueberries in the mix when it was made?? Will be really interesting to hear the explanation.

Coffee was luke warm, cutlery supplied was a big let down, was clearly not washed properly, covered in water marks and dried on food....... but the sausage rolls were nice.

The prices are absolutely over priced and the service was not great.

Great coffee and a good spot to sit and watch the world go by. Last time I visited they forgot my order. It was only when I looked over to see where it was that they remembered. Everyone makes mistakes though and it was rectified by a free coffee which was unexpected and great customer service.

Decent food and service but lose points on use of single-use plastic cups. Completely unnecessary for sit-in drinks. Come on Bakers & Baristas, it's 2019.

It's the second time I have been there and the latte was as lovely as the first time, the muffins are scrummy will be going back again.

Todos los pasteles parecían encantadores. El gabinete frío con panecillos / baguettes, etc. tenía condensación en todo el frente, por lo que era difícil ver claramente la elección. Servicio penosamente lento con mala organización. Nuestras dos bebidas calientes se olvidaron y tuve que pedirlas a pesar de estar esperando en el mostrador. Cuando llegaron las bebidas, estaban tibias, pero para entonces ya me había sentado a la mesa y estaba un poco desanimado. Tuve un rollo que fue decepcionante, relleno mínimo. El marido tenía una baguette que dijo que estaba bien. Lamentablemente no volveremos a visitar.

It was fine. Fast service (other customers permitting ^^) Reasonable prices. Plenty of seating. A selection of smaller sized sandwiches and rolls would be a good addition. Great spot for those who enjoy people watching 😁

I go into BBs in both Castle Mall and Chapel field Monday to Friday, I don't have to ask for what I want they know.

Great coffee shop right in the middle of Chapelfield Mall. Wide range of drinks, sandwiches, baguettes and cakes. Plenty of seating to watch the world go by.

So busy but still get a lovely hot drink and muffin, prices are going up a lot and turn over of staff bad but still love this place .

Very nice coffee and decent freshly made food

Really noisy location, it's open air and in the middle of a very busy shopping mall. Not the fault of the cafe of course but just be aware it's not a cosy place! Drinks are reasonably priced, well prepared and varied, muffins are great too. Service is hit and miss however.

Good coffee and the freshest muffins around, but the cutlery and crockery are overdue a very hot wash in a clean dishwasher.

Great food and drink, good place to get lunch with friends, or even a casual date. The only problem is that it is open rather than having its own separate premises in Chapelfield, so it can get very noisy during times that shopping malls get busy, such as Christmas.

Popped in here today to get out of the cold: for a warm snack and tea. Pleasant enough: though the service was slightly slow as one assistant was trying to manage on her own: take orders, warm up the sandwich and prepare drinks. Another assistant returned and things got moving.

Good coffee & staff but gets very busy.

The Good: Nice atmosphere and the staff are helpful and polite. The Bad: The Hot Chocolate that they sell here should be called "Warm Chocolate" as it's drinkable in about 30 seconds.

Just does what it says on the Tin no more no less, at least you know what you're getting.

Had lunch there. It was good staff were lovely. The only thing I would say if it not good if you want a quick lunch
