Asda in Norwich

Visiting Norwich and needed to stock up a bit, so this was the closest store to us. Did shopping and wanted to use the toilets before leaving, like you do. All toilets near the cafe were closed! Luckily there was a disabled toilet on the next floor down, but very surprised this was the situation, especially on a busy Saturday. The queues to the single disabled toilet were very long too.

I cooked a pizza for my son and when I looked at it there was a bit of wood in it so I had to cook another one and my son is hungry.

It's a constant annoyance that Asda staff block out all day parking spaces nearest the store. Store manager must be aware when passing the same cars everyday.

Customer service staff rude and unhelpful after trying to get assistance for my refund which I'm still waiting for from a returned online order you can not contact anyone direct as lines are busy bla bla bla really poor im not interested in Asda George problems we all have enough of our own there quick to take your money im sure many other customers are having the same problem

Karen Breslin was so helpful and attentive when I went it with my family for my shopping , a real credit to the store and company how she took the time to answer my questions and give me directions to products when I asked although busy herself , and fuss over my children great customer service

Aww I’m finding it harder and harder to shop here. I’m guessing they must be really short on staff. Today was worse than normal. 10 am hardly any shopping trolleys available and couldn’t find a single one of the smaller. The store wasn’t too busy so have no idea where they were. The car park was a disgrace with bins overflowing everywhere. Shelves weren’t very well stocked. Not one check out open. Self service is a joke when you are working yourself getting shopping for multiple people in one go. I’m happy with ASDA products and prices, but find this one is really not a pleasant shopping experience. Staff are mostly pleasant if you happen to be in contact with them. Oh and if true to form look out school holidays have arrived and that’s when they choose to change all their shelves around. Poor adults wandering around aimlessly trying to find items with their children in tow.

Went for shopping with my kids. They like caked so they bought it. I know it may be mistakenly happened because nobody wants to do so knowingly but felt so disappointed that the renowned store does such blunder. It's against the customer health right. Never expected such from a pioneer ASDA store from a country like UK. Shopped and billed on: 19-7-2024 Date of expiry: 23-6-2024

Love Asda brilliant store has everything

Well stocked super store. Has a petrol station and a restaurant. The pizzas are great value, and it would be a struggle to beat them for their flavour,size, and price. They also offer great value meal deals.

Nice compact Asda that still seems to cram in everything you could want

Clean friendly. Excellent Cornish pasty, hot, tasty, real. And Chicken Kiev's were sublime. Their selection of clothes is excellent and the prices unbeatable.

If you enjoy misery...shop at Asda Hall Road! 1) First you need to go on a trolly hunt around the car park which is fun! 2) Then you have to battle through what feels like thousands of home shopping staff who block every aisle with their huge trolly tanks making it impossible to get what you need or even get past them. 3) Then beware, if you leave your trolly at the end of an aisle to grab some bread, when you get back it will have been taken to the front of the store as an "abandoned trolly"...another fun game! 4) Next you can enjoy perusing the mostly empty shelves! 5) Then you have to get down on your knees and beg the supervisor to open a till to be told "I don't have the staff, you will have to use the self checkout". 6) It's ok...the misery is almost over! Now you just have to break your back self scanning almost £200 pounds worth of shopping onto a small area that your shopping doesn't fit on to because it was designed for baskets! 7) If you need the supervisor (who clearly hates you for existing) during the process and look in her direction, she will ever so politely grunt at you "what do you want?" 8) Final tip: avoid asking for any help of any kind from the the majority of the staff...they are some of the most miserable people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and I can't blame them; I would be too if I had to work here!!! Great place for daily shopping and daily essentials with affordable prices . Loved Asda daily deals . Excellent place for quick shopping too. Asda offers great deals on all seasonal products as well as during festive products . ASDA daily baking deals are exceptional.It has a big shopping area along with car and bike parking . Located in a nice place and ease to access . Can say like one stop shopping for all a family needs like groceries ,fruits ,veggies ,meat ,eggs ,milk,textiles ,all households ,garden ,outdoor things ,electric and electronics ,games ,juices ,yogurts ,chocolates ,biscuits , skin care ,hair care , kids needs ,medicines ,mobile phones ,sims ,world foods like Asian groceries including all daily essentials. ASDA also has lovely ,polite ,skilled and helpful staff . ASDA cafe has great food options . It also helps the kids meal 1£ offers during the school holidays and helps the needy and society .I recommend ASDA for your daily and special day shopping too. Thank you Jay

The worst Asda ever, so many items not in stock , never any trollies near the shop you have to hunt around the carpark for onr. Last vist I left half way through shopping as so many items out if stock.. i now go to tesco and have no problems !!

Pretty good, not as big as the other one in Norwich! Still has clothing range just not as big. Same with all the other areas: fruit, veg, meat etc. I think there are more visible staff at Hall road, which I personally like.

Popped into the store today to find something for lunch, purchased a Beef bolognese pasta bake for myself and wife. After we had eaten it I noticed the sell by date on the packaging was 6th March, nearly a week out of date! .

Paid with Apple Pay, charger didn’t work, so went to return it. Aparently I need my physical card to have a refund!! Asda… come on this is 2024 and you don’t do contactless refunds…

Very poor customer service, amongst the worst. Gone down hill so much! I noticed how people of different backgrounds (race) are treated differently. The store manager needs sacking! and employees need training in various departments/areas.

If I could leave no stars I would. Customer service was not acceptable. Accused of stealing clothes while at the checkout, looked in my bag for life without asking stating "I believe you have clothes in there". Yep nothing other than another bag for life. Didn't ask nicely just presumed. I speak to a manager who at first denied being a manager then said "I'm one of the managers". He went on to say that people steal so they have to check, I agree with checking but ask me nicely and don't treat me like I have till proven. I work very hard for the money I have and proud that I pay for everything so find it upsetting to be accused in such a manner. Manager needs training as his attitude is disgusting and not of the Asda standards. Very embarrassing and you have security on the doors who watch and do their jobs from what I have seen you should leave it to them. Lady on checkout was obviously doing what she had been told but please train to treat all with respect.

Today in Asde there is a promotion on Norwegian red fish, 7.99 pounds per 1 kg. This is a great price. There are no entrails in the fish. From the head, tail and ridge you can cook an excellent fish soup, and the rest can either be salted, fried, or baked in the oven, depending on who you like.

A rude women refused to sell me a expensive bottle of wine to a 18 year old with a driving license because I had a mate who was over 18 buying ice cream on another checkout but no ID on him when she asked for both ID’s. I’m buying the alcohol not him. She also spoke in the rudest manner. The stupid woman said “Right, I need to see both your ID’s please” even though the poor guy (my mate) was just buying his ice cream on a different check out. If Asda are employing miserable git’s like her, I feel bad for future customers. However, I wish the grinch on self checkouts merry Christmas.

2nd delivery in a row where I've had to request a refund! 1st time was short dates on fresh meat (next day), and then this week, I'm missing 4 items that said they've been delivered. It's getting ridiculous...

Turned up at the click and collect drive in to be told that my online order didn't go through. Reordered and chose express delivery in order to pick it up at my next convenient time. Returned at my alloted slot, waited for 45 minutes, rang the bell several times and tried to call the number supplied but nobody came out to serve me. As I has an appointment elsewhere, I had to leave and return an hour later only to be left waiting for another 30 minutes. Eventually I went in to the customer service desk and was told that my order was missed and had not been picked. Once I eventually received my order (4 hours after my first attempt) I had 6 substituted items. A waste of an evening, a non existent express collection and only half an order. Very disappointing!

I have noticed on Facebook that the over 60 can from Nov 1st get soup tea coffee for £1 Great idea but the one near me Drayton Road only has McDonald's so that seems very unfair as could not get to the one on the other side of the city . As I'm sure lots of other over 60 can't either 🤔😫

A bit smaller than a lit of other stores, but still very well stocked

newly built very tidy looking large store holding thousands of food/non food products. found it really easy to navigate as with any asda. must say parking can be a little tedious here but not a big deal for myself. spot on service. 5 stars from chunk. Review update September 2023: Found it to be poorly stocked and poorly organised. Not sure what has happened ?!

Everything under one roof. Brought many things we didn't realise we needed. Good selection of reasonably priced products. Lots of bargains. Coffe and tea very nice in restaurant. Good meal deal. Overall very positive experience.

25.06.2023 More modern but smaller than Drayton Road. Didn't try the cafe, will do next time. Not a McDonald's which is nice to see. Small homeware sections, large fresh fruit and veg, not so many frozen aisles. Toilets upstairs next to cafe.

Nothing but good things to say. We broke down outside with our caravan, dog, and two kids, and our recovery couldn't come until the next morning. After speaking with Sherry in store, she kindly found us a spot to stay for the evening. Thank you. Without your kindness, we would have been parked on an industrial estate for the night.

Popped in here for a few bits and ended up having a breakfast at the cafe the wait from ordering to getting the breakfast wasn't that long food was nice staff very friendly nice place to go if in the area prices were what you would expect plenty of parking

Food was good, but the lady behind the counter was so condescending, had a attitude, because we ordered 3 pizzas and complained she was alone baring in mind, the cafe was pretty much empty so not like it was busy, and no one was to be seen when we wanted to make our own, hense why we went to the cafe, overall the staff need cheering up

Don't expect a great choice of frozen food ie chicken, chips garlic bread freezers are most of the time empty

I went to the Customer Service area in Asda Hall Road Norwich today 31st March 2023 and was served by Jacob. His customer service skills were exceptionally good and he was quick to answer my queries .He was very friendly and helpful and showed me patience and understanding. This made shopping so much more enjoyable !

Clean foods and store but Gentleman toilet dirty.

My shop today had 3 price errors. I received refunds on items but there is no way to report this error as customers cannot telephone store.

I'm in there quite a lot and always good value too.

Asda supermarket at Norwich Hall Road is close to City Centre. Allow maximum 4 hours duration of parking. Most of the products prices are lowered than other supermarkets, like Morrisons, Tesco, etc. Asda Cafe is located on upper floor offer pizza, sandwiches and drinks. Take a short break there with spacious sitting area.

My life felt somewhat empty before entering this bastion of hope. It was like all my dreams had collided into a singularity and I could wish for nothing more... I could purchase a lettuce... I could purchase a pair of pants... I could even purchase decongestant... And I could pay for these at one check out... A truly life changing experience, I could hope.. nay dream for no more...

Good parking in a very busy place. Good range of products including own value range.

Won't go here again. I was waiting to get lottery ticket. 3 members of staff ignored me they were "busy" one was very rude. I was told they were looking after a customer's inquiry I will not recommend this shop to anyone in fact, the opposite.

Had what is probably the worst breakfast ever, it didn't start well when they didn't have any coffee available they said the machine is broken we ordered our breakfast and went to collect cutlery all of it was all disgusting some even had old food on them, the toast was delivered before the food so was cold by the time we ate, the eggs were like rubber and a small tasteless sausage and to top it all off they forgot to put a Ashbrown on the plate won't visit again, just found out there is a pub across the Carpark that has much better revenues and is better value

No ha sido durante un tiempo sin mejoría, la mayoría de los alimentos / bebidas fue un 1 por última vez bien para comer algo rápido antes de comprar el desayuno ahora hasta 3. 95 café caliente 1 rebanada de pan tostado para 70 p mesas cortas con personal sucio platos sucios inodoros eran repugnantes ¡no volveré a visitarlo seguro! ! ! !

For a reasonably priced meal with a decent choice for young children I gave the cafe above the store a try. I'd been before but once again found the tables were greasy and little attention seemed to be given cleaning surfaces where people were going to eat.

I have read a few reviews were people are complaining about the price increase of the drinks. One reviewer stated it’s cheaper to go to Costa. I wish I knew which Costa they go to as you will not get a hot drink as cheap as the ones they have in this diner. Although, the quality is better elsewhere, you pay for what you get. They have plenty of bins which customers can use to put their rubbish in after they eat. Some people choose to leave it on the tables and walk past the bins for other people to clean up after them, which does make it look untidy. Staff don’t always check the dining area as they are busy serving, seems short of staffed some days. The quality of food could be better but for a budget diner it is ok. The pizza is the best item in the menu. Staff are very friendly to customers and always seem patient even under stress, but some of the staff are sometimes not friendly towards each other and can be heard arguing with each other in front of customers not very professional . Although, entertaining to see from a customers point of view. Free entertainment.

Popped in for breakfast/lunch had pizza and fries mother had sausages and chips which was fine but we are disgusted with the price rise of the drinks so now it's £1.50 for cola ect and most disappointing the latte and the cappuccino has gone up to a whopping £2.00 whitch is even more than Costa now. We simply can't afford this now and will go elsewhere like other customers will do sadly!!.

Cheap and cheerful. If hungry before shopping - pop in here. Slice of pizza £1.50 - sausage / bacon bap £1 coffee £1 unlimited soft drinks £1 - you get the picture. Simple.

We sometimes use the cafe when shopping at Asda. However have been put off in the past by the poor levels of cleanliness in the customer area. Today was no exception and as a result we have resolved not to return. No one cleaned any tables, or swept the floor or removed any rubbish in the half hour we were there. My husband had to wet some blue roll from the water dispenser to wipe the table as no one could be bothered to do it (he would have sanitised it as well had there been any available). On plus side, the food is ok esp the pizza and the prices are very reasonable. However if you value you health and the environment don’t be sucked in just by the cheap prices and convince.

Call in sometimes for a JACKETPOTATOE for lunch always good value for money as it is only a pound a item

The pizza at Asda is better than Pizza Hut. To take away a full large one is £6.00 What a bargain. I have only scored 4 stars as the restaurant could be cleaner on several occasions I have visited hence taking food away. You can also have self serve soft drinks and free refills.

Decided to have a quick lunch after shopping. I had jacket potato with cheese and beans and a side salad. The potato was hard and had obviously been sitting in the warmer all day, tiny amount of cheese and beans and the side salad consisted of 2 little tomatoes and green leaves. But my main complaint is the amount of plastic that will end up being thrown away! Plastic cutlery, plates and even the salad was in a little plastic pot with cling film on the top, I’m guessing made up at the beginning of the day and put in the fridge. There is absolutely no need for this!!!

All ways great food .wish the old tuna mix would come back .would be nice to have the choice between Brown or white rolls .Wholemeal pizza base would be good .Nice friendly staff especially Sara she has got a great smile lovely young lady .

Called in to get some shopping ended up having lunch in the restaurant JACKETPOTATOE cheese and beans lovely

We love our local Asda. The food is fabulous and good value for money. The staff are always friendly and prepared to help.

Had to run in and pick up some bits while on a business trip, ended up buying a blouse as well. The shop was lovely and I only wish I had more time to shop there properly.

Eating in here is a hit and miss experience. Tables often dirty and left with food debris. Staff can appear confused and unhelpful. The takeaway pizza offering is good value and one to return for.

Taken my mum here before/ after shopping most things are £1 each yes you do get what you pay for!! Jacket potatoes either small and shrivelled up or white/hard in middle where quick microwave cooked staff often forget to offer you butter for them believe...

Best sit-down pizza around at a brilliant price. A 16" pizza freshly cooked to order with chips and four unlimited soft drinks for £10 puts other venues to shame.

I been coming here for months and it was awful when it first open felt like no one had a clue on what todo. Tables were always full of left over food place looked dirty. Always a large q and only ever one till open....

the staff were helpful the food was horrible, i asked for jacket potato with tuna and mayonnaise the potato was hard, the the topping looked like something you get from the loo ... i asked how long the potato had been sitting there 1 hour...

I liked the food. A message to all those complaining : You're in ASDA for goodness sake. Buy your own ingredients and make your own food if you think you can do better.

Was so disappointed with this cafe. I was not really expecting much in the first place as it was just a cheap eat cafe, so was surprised when it was as bad as what it was. The fries where like cardboard and stone cold Hot...
