Stopped to sample the carvery whilst on holiday and we weren’t disappointed. Paul was really helpful finding us a great table, which worked as we had our dog. Food was great, roast beef and turkey. The owner’s sister (sorry didn’t get her name) was lovely and we had a nice chat with her. They have been through a lot with all the recent flooding, great to see the place very busy and doing so well. Good luck. Hope to be back. 👍

Strange place, all the tables seemed to be mismatched, a bit scruffy. Bar staff abit abrupt although serving staff were good Food was generally disappointing. Steak and ale pie was “ok” according to those who ate it. The Beef Ragu was simply Spag Bol Most disappointing was the scampi - for £15 expected a decent portion with either peas or salad, but no. Simply a small portion of scampi with some chips served on paper which went soggy when tartare sauce put on. Had to help ourselves to knives and forks and struggled to find clean ones - had to return 3 times to find 5 sets!! Disgusting really - should be checked by whoever put them out Won’t be returning

Food wasn’t really much to shout about! A few of us passed on the carvery as it looked really dry. We won’t be going again - such a shame as it used to be lovely. No one asked if the food was ok. The toilets were gross! Photo of hygienic hand dryer! Dread to think what the kitchen was like.

Excellent food, fantastic service the place still holds the same character and welcoming environment it has had for as long as I can remember coming here. One of our guests felt very at home with the country pub feel who is new to boating on the broads. My son felt best meal he’s had. Ethan was so welcoming and efficient, the chef needs to be praised very much. Was lovely to have a quick chat with David, can’t believe he’s now 90. All in all beautiful stay at Reedham Ferry.

The service on a Sunday is awful. They have two tills and the queue was out and across the riverside dining area. Spent 3/4 of an hour in queue, when I wanted to watch the boating. TIP. Go inside and find a menu order your food and drinks together. It is a great location and the carvery was pretty good after the wait.

Our Sat Nav packed up and somehow we ended up at the Ferry Inn in Horning. I'm glad we did! It was the hottest day of the year (yes we did have one) and we were pleased to get a table outside under an umbrella. The food was good quality. Husband had a pulled pork burger that looked amazing. I had the pie of the day which was very tasty but for the price, I would suggest some extra vegetables with this one. A very pleasant experience and of course a wonderful location.

It was my son's 40th birthday so I reserved a table for 4 for Sunday lunch. However despite there being plenty of nicer tables near the window empty they gave us the nearest one next to the servery which was busy. When I asked if could take a quieter seat they said they were saved for people wanting to watch the screen, but nobody took these seats. We had roast beef which was so tough it was almost inedible. The floor looked dirty and nobody checked on us during the meal to see if everything was ok. Despite all this the lunch we felt was expensive at £17.99 per head. We have eaten at much nicer establishments for much less and had better food and service. This appears to be just a tourist pub where they can charge high price due to convenience on broad and low service. We will not be visiting again. Local resident.

It's a fabulous river-side pub. but we may have been unlucky on the day, the roast potatoes were not as they should have been, they were tough to cut possibly overcooked, and the carrots were very hard, now other people may be happy but each to their own, on previous visits, there were two choices of gravy this time one, also no homemade steak and ale pie, or perhaps not visible, maybe we were just used to the previous cooks? so we were somewhat disappointed, just wish we could have been more positive .

We ate here on Sunday before starting our holiday on the broads and the food was ok but not great, just typical pub food. The carvery was a real eye opener - we watched aghast at the amount of food people were piling on to their plates - maybe there wasn't a slot for their Tesco delivery that week! Table service was good but need more bar staff. There was an unpleasant lingering odour of food after we had dined. Maybe needs to be re-vamped??

Not sure if pubs rest on past reviews, the Ferry Inn now advertised as a TGI, part of a group I think, but since our visit in 2017 when we had a good experience it appears to have gone downhill. Meat portions are now not as generous as they were, the beef was tough but one of the biggest cons was their steak & kidney suet puddings. Although they look big the meat content is minuscule, about 4 pieces of meat mostly thick suet.

The food is a carvery lots of choice, looked and tasted very good it was mid week so not very busy. Only thing was, not being greedy the plates were quiet small given a good serving of meat choice didn't leave a lot of room for the good selection of potatoes and veg.

Moored outside this pub whilst on a day trip on the Broads. Decided to try their carvery which we eat on the riverside terrace. Food was terrific, huge portions of meat and every type of veg ,potatoes etc. Obviously location/weather helped but for £9.99 each we were very impressed. Indeed so impressed we returned next day by car for another meal before we returned to dismal Manchester. My missus tried the pasta alternative second time around which took a while to be served but she really enjoyed. If your in the area give it a try.

We were recommended the Ferry by a chap working at Barnes Brinkcraft in Wroxham. He said it was the best place to eat locally and he was right. Really enjoyed the roast buffet, which was reasonably priced and a good plateful. The Woodfordes Wherry was excellent. Not too busy and we got our favourite table in the bay window. We’d been once before in March. The standard was good that time too.

Wow! This one beats all in terms of not good! We went with some friends at the end of a boat holiday in the broads. We paid 50£ for a meal for 4. We had water to drink, and unfortunately, there was no pitcher available to refill so more glasses were brought out. Really? My cheese salad had about 200 g of shredded cheeses on top of ice berg lettuce, a few peppers and some carrot curls. My husband had the ham and eggs, but the ham was out of a packet from the grocery store. My daughter had a veg burger as she is vegetarian, ate half and felt ill for the evening. My other daughter had the stir fry and half the plate was prawn crackers. The other half tasted funky so she didn’t eat it. Slow service and not great food. AND you aren’t allowed to flush toilet tissue! After being in a boat for a week, I needed better than this.

Stopped here for the night while boating on the Broads, excellent location with good moorings. Carvery looked good which had various pies as alternatives to the roast meats. However when asked if the steak pie could be served with chips, was told that chips could be served as an extra. Which would make it an expensive pie and chips. A bit of flexibility in the menu would have been appreciated. Instead 2 in our party had the large burger which was good, and 2 went for the salmon which by all accounts was excellent.i

They took it all in good fun and served up some good food to accompany a good selection of drinks.Oh and apologies if you were there at the same time as us... we've left now so it's safe to return.

Without a doubt one of the best carveries we have had. Staff very cheerful and we were made very welcome.Food superbly cooked and the meat served was really generous. The vegetable selection was really good and cooked well.Had drinks outside afterwards overlooking river and it was overall a nice occasion.

Arrived here at 5pm Bank Holiday Monday and it was bursting at the seams.Took a while to be served at the bar by very friendly but clearly overworked staff.Duly ordered our food not expecting a rapid service, but within 20 mins our plates duly arrived. The Fish Mornay was huge and beautifully cooked, the Hunters Chicken like wise, beer battered Cod slightly overcooked, I had the carvery which was very good and the vegetable selection impressive and whats more cooked to perfection even the cauliflower which so often at carveries can pass through your fork.If this is what they can do when it is manic I would love to return on a quieter day as the setting is brilliant to watch the world pass by.

My family visited the Ferry Inn, there was 8 of us and we all plumed for the Carvery. The food was of a very high standard, surprisingly hot-some Carvery's can be allowed to go cold or dry up, not here. The vegetables were fresh and there were about 7/8 different veg's on offer. 3/4 different meats, and the greedy amongst us-or indecisive as I prefer to be called, were allowed a mixture of meat! Although I can not recall the actual cost of the Carvery, it was along the lines of what you would expect to pay, with the quality as high as it was, it was certainly value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant was busy with the majority sitting outside as the weather was nice. The view across the River and the atmosphere was all very relaxing, just made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Will eat here again.

I have been to this pub many times on holiday, the food is good and the carvery is one of the best, the beer garden is great in the summer. Sometimes it's the small things that lets a place down tho, on my last visit we booked a table for 2 at about 17:30, the place was totally empty and when we saw the book there were not many names in there, we were shown to a very small table for 2, I asked if we could have a larger table near the window or at least a larger table, the waitress said all the other tables were booked and the only ones available were the small ones. We had our meal and the only other table taken was another small table, when we had finished eating the place was still virtually empty, we went outside and spent an hour or so in the beer garden and even after this long time nobody had occupied the larger tables. I think customer service requires a bit of a look at here, there is no reason we couldn't have sat at a larger table other than the waitress being awkward, we will return in the future but wont bother booking a table, there are 3 pubs in the village so if a decent table isnt available there are other options.

We live locally and feel the carvery is always good. BUT on various occasions and various meals from the menu leave a lot to be desired. We will not be ordering from the menu ever again. This review is based on 2yrs experience.

Went to this pub in December, lovely carvery, lots of vegetables, so there is always some you like. Other meals looked very good as well, lovely day out in the summer, right on the edge of river. Friendly staff, best to book as they are very busy especially in summer.

We had previously had a great meal here ,so tried it again at the height of the season , overall the food was not too bad , my mother had a Chicken salad with way too much salad my father had scampi wish was very good , but my partner and myself had carverys that were served on a smaller than averaged plates a shame really as there was a huge range of vegetables etc to choose from but not enough room on the plates . However I would go back as I hope it was a one off .The total bill for 4 people no deserts but with drinks was £ 42

My family and I decided to visit this restaurant for lunch. After ordering our drinks and meals at the bar, we received our 1st course. My husband had garlic bread, our son had spicy chicken wings and his partner had creamy mushrooms. I has a prawn cocktail. The starter itself was ok, however with my prawn cocktail I was served mouldy bread. I made the waitress aware, and the only answer I got in return, was that she did not speak English! Spoke to another waitress who promptly took my plate away. She came back into the restaurant a few minutes later and just walked past us. Finally the manager came over, and he was very apologetic, and gave us our money back for the starters and a round of free drinks. The main course was ok though, however we rely on these people to serve us fresh and edible food, and in this case they fell sadly short. I will not ever be eating here again.

Visited the Ferry Inn whilst staying in Horning for a couple of days. Visited at lunch time. As we entered we received a warm welcome from the staff who were friendly throughout our visit. We only had a light lunch, but the service was quick and the food lovely. Sat by the window, with a nice view of the river and with the boats going past. Would recommend and will visit again in the future.

It was five years ago when I last visited this inn ,what a change ,it was a dark dingy place then but it's changed beyond belief ,it has a lovely welcome feel about it ,the staff seemed very nice and the food was excellent ,the only complaint is that although the dining area is lovely and clean the toilets could have done with a good clean ,the pipes behind the toilet were dirty and there were big cobwebs behind the door ,apart from that I would reccomend it here

Lunch with disabled parents. Friendly welcome by Maggie who showed us several table options and offered to take parents to and from the disabled toilet. Also severed by Maggie at the bar - busy lady as the restaurant was pretty full. Food a little slow arriving but the mixed grill and gammon we properly cooked not fling and ping when happens elsewhere. Mixed was excellent with good cuts of steak and gammon and quality sausages. Also FOC swap to jacket potato. Deserts also nice and meals not overpriced with their 25% off deals. Toilets could do with a revamp / some TLC. Otherwise very good find for lunch.

These chicken wings are my absolute favorite in Norwich. Nothing else comes close! They’re just insanely good!! The pub itself is fantastic too with loads of seating areas, so you can always find a perfect spot to settle in and enjoy.
