Trawlers Fish And Chips in Norwich

Used this place for the first time today, I'm now asking myself why. The large cod I got were excellent well cooked, lovely crispy batter,the best fish I've had in a long while, oh the chips were lovely too. I didn't take pictures because I was way more into eating it than photographing it.

Delicious, well cooked fish perfect crispy batter. Curry sauce was amazing, best fish and chips I’ve had in a long long time. The £27 deal was great value for money with big portions. Lovely lady who delivered it too, very kind.

OH my god where do i begin! The rice bowl is elite. I know you dont go to a fish and chip shop for a rice bowl but its one of the best i ever tried. Nothing in Norwich competes. Must TRY! Super friendly staff.

First time trying here. Perfectly cooked chips, haddock is delicious as well as the saveloy. It's probably the least greasy fish and chips we've had so far.

So impressed with the service and the quality of our fish and chips haddock and cod both very good well cooked with a lovely batter and very generous size compared to others. Same applies to the chips and the price is also probably unbeatable. Will definitely use again

My name is Christine, I had eight people coming for a fish and chip tea. I had not used the Trawlers Chip Shop before so I phoned ahead to order. A nice man answered the phone. I told him I wanted rock and chips, five times and cod and chips, three times The men had a bit of difficulty understanding what I wanted, but after we had a laugh and a joke, we got there. In the end, I went and picked it up best fish and chips we’ve ever had all my guests was Happy. I asked him to do very light batter and he did. It was lovely and crispy, but not loads of it We asked for a sausage with no batter for the dog. He was so nice, he gave us it free of charge. I have been back there since he remembered me he even came around and shook hands with me. I explained why I could not have thick better as I have a problem with digestion. He understood will use it again and recommend him to my friends.

My partner ordered a large chips. He also got a bit more than what he bargained for when he found a long hair in his mouth!

This chip shop has changed owners. It used to be excellent now it is far from it! "We ordered: 2 Unbattered Jumbo sausages, a fish cake, Pineapple fritters (2), Onion rings & large chips. Window states they are frying new potatoes, they are not! Pineapple fritters fried together, 2 battered as 1 then fried, not 2 seperately (picture shows this), batter inside is RAW & pineapple is mushy, gross! Chips are RAW in the centre of the larger chips. Onion rings are just mushy inside, no onion! Sausage & fish cake are generic types that you get from any chippy. Shop assistant struggled to understand the order, we had to repeat unbattered 3 times. Won't be returning here!

Fish not dripping in oil, nicely cooked chips are nice and dry. place is spotless and clean. All cooked fresh and the service is nice and friendly. Will be using it from now on .

Chips Quality very good and perfectly cooked, portion size very good too. Cod Very good and perfectly cooked tasted lovely and fresh however sadly the portion size was very small.

Proper chippy. Top rated on Google, so we visited on a Saturday evening. Not too busy. Very friendly staff made it a very pleasant experience. Good value food, and we'd all be very happy to visit again. If you're coming from the university to Aldi, go past Aldi entrance and turn right. Well worth it!

Fish was cooked to perfection but the chips were to soggy for me, most chippy's I go to seem to cut their chips to thick and when fried they do not seem firm enough.

Amazing fish and chips, batter is light and crispy, we have deflected to Trawlers from our other local fish and chip shops. We have been using this shop since it opened, the shop is clean, staff are friendly and food is always piping hot. Highly recommended

So, we've been using Trawlers for some time now and can't recommend them highly enough. There has been no "drop off " since they opened to date in their super friendly greetings and service, spotlessly clean and pleasant shop and frankly the best fish I've had anywhere, often freshly cooked - it's well worth the wait, and yes they do krispies too. Last minute decision for tea, Fish and chips from Trawlers Dereham Road. Not a long wait even know it was freshly cooked fish was amazing chips were cooked to perfection, inside the shop emulate and welcoming. Very good on price will definitely be going back.

Tried here as was new very impressed. Was greeted as soon as I went in. Fish was lovely no bones not like the fish and chip shop round the corner. Chips were lovely not greasy. Tried the cheese and onion fryup very nice. Would highly recommend this fish and chip shop.

Visited Trawlers tonight for cod and chips and have to give it my 5 star rating. Great chips and perfectly cooked battered cod. If you live in the area it’s worth a try!!!

Tried this brand new fish and chip shop out last night and the shop inside is beautiful, staff and service amazing and the fish and chips are the best in the area. You won’t be disappointed here!
