Slice + Dice in Norwich

I'm not vegan but I love their banana milkshakes. Staff are always helpful and as fan of board games it's great way to find something new to play.

I absolutely adore Slice and Dice! Food is incredible, cocktails are great and all the staff are so lovely and welcoming! Huge selection of board games as well, always have a lovely time when I go.

First time attending this cozy space and I was far from disappointed! I loved the range of board / card games available, the vegan food was amazing and I really appreciated how accommodating the staff were - shoutout to Matt for being a calm guy! I’ll definitely be coming back.

We love this place! Such an amazing bonus that it's all vegan 😍 always such amazing food and cocktails, really friendly staff and a massive wall of games. Staff are always really helpful with suggesting games too so we don't have to work out what to play ourselves

Came here for a friends birthday, as well as with my dad and stepmum, and had a lovely time on both occasions. Great range of games (would recommend coup for 3-6 players), most of which are well maintained and in good condition. The rates are also really good at (from what I remember) £3ppph. Only thing I think they need to improve is food - it’s not bad, but the portions are generally too small for the price. Love how it’s all vegan though, and they use locally sourced ingredients - which could explain the price. Plus, you don’t have to purchase food while you’re there, but it’s nice to have the option!

This is a lovely cafe! I came to read the reviews and was really sad to see there's some very bitter people out there. Why come to google reviews before you've bothered to speak to management? Anyway, I've been 3 times now and I can't wait to go again! Food is lovely and great portions. Staff are polite, friendly and not faffing about you while you're eating. The place feels clean and not sticky like other cafés I've been to. The whole cafe is wall to wall board games, I'm glad we can just come and eat the good food though because I'm not into games. I'm a chore eating out. I'm vegan, ocd and a very fussy eater. This place has the only menu I actually struggle to decide what to eat because I've loved all of it! AND THEY DO DEEP FRIED SPROUTS AT XMAS 💚💚💚

Can highly recommend to any vegan visiting Norwich. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Just be aware that you are charged the £4 for 2hr gaming fee as soon as you get a table, not when you select a board game, so make the most of it while you're there!

Nice place really cool concept, some of the games need a good deep clean. Also the people beside us were ridiculously loud. But I would come again. Also everything is vegan here too.

I cannot comment on the food as did not have anything. However, lots of choice on the menus. I went in the afternoon during the working week and was relatively quiet. The place is nice and clean and have a very nice vibe. The staff member was very knowledgeable and helpful. I'd definitely go back.

We came across this gem by chance. So welcoming and a charming host. My Christmas Mac & cheese was delicious ( and I'm a meat eating chef !)

Had a great 2 hours playing board games, whilst snacking on the sharing nachos, tater tots, fries and frickles… great service throughout and very reasonably priced - would definitely recommend and will return!

Spent a fun evening here on a visit to Norwich to see my daughter. Good atmosphere friendly service and a great choice of games. Flamme rouge was especially good and thanks to the man who came and explained the rules to us you were a great help.

Not to be dramatic but im still thibking anout the food I ate here! The vegan burger and burrito were delicious. My expectations were high, but this place somehow managed to surpass them. Seriously, one of the best plant-based meals I've ever had. Can not wait to return and play the board games with some food too. If you go to Norwich, definitely check out this place! If you live in Norwich, this has to be your weekly spot.

I’ve been to Slice and Dice many times over the last few years, including twice in the last 3 weeks: once for dinner and once for breakfast. Each time it proves itself to be one of Norwich’s best spots. For breakfast in particular, the food is just fantastic. The breakfast burrito is always a winner, but the full English is also superb. The service is great, the games collection excellent too. A lovely place to go, and caters so well to so many players - newcomers, kids, or seasoned board gamers. What a place - Norwich is all the better for it.

Love, love, love this place. Great (100% plant based) food, super inclusive atmosphere, squillions of super cool board games to choose from from toddler to 100. .highly recommended. We can't wait to visit again soon

I visited Slice + Dice for the first time with my partner on a chill Sunday morning. Within minutes friendly staff had found exactly the right game for us, and within a few minutes more they set it up for us and explained the rules. We loved the game and ended up playing it twice. And the food was great! The breakfast burrito may well be the best I’ve ever had, and my partner says the pancakes were perfect. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

Reasonable prices, good atmosphere and helpful staff who are able to recommend or teach you how to play the games they have in their library. Thoroughly recommend for a rainy day!

Very friendly and welcoming staff, who are able to help with teaching board games and recommending types to play. Food is all vegan friendly and absolutely lovely! As a cafe its got a good selection and atmosphere and as a board game hangout it's got everything you need. All very reasonable prices. Booking online or calling ahead is quick and easy to do as well. Even has a small section for a shop as well. Highly recommend giving them a go if you've got the time and are in the area.

Always a pleasure to visit Slice + Dice. Friendly staff who work hard to ensure everyone’s looked after, always ready with several game recommendations and help with rules. Super clued in about allergens, too, with a menu to suit virtually all dietary requirements. The burrito is probably my favourite thing on any menu in Norwich. The events they run here are always loads of fun too. Whether it’s the twice monthly social gaming or regular Blood on the Clocktower nights, you’re always guaranteed a great time.

By far the best place in Norwich for vegan food!! I regularly go to Slice + Dice either alone or with friends to eat and play games. I've also attended several of their evening game events. Food is always amazing and the staff can't do enough to help you, including explaining how to play their huge library of games. Recently I took my work team their and even those who were sceptical of vegan food all commented on how much they loved it! Highly reccomended!

Horrible racist unpleasant restaurant. Shocking service Me, my partner and friend came to the restaurant as Vegans hoping for a lovely meal. Instead, we were made to wait for 45 minutes for food, With absolutely no friendly prompts from staff or apologies at all. We were going to a gig so had to leave after an hour. After asking for the food to be boxed and taken away We waited another 10 minutes. By this point, understandably, none of us wanted to eat as customer service had left a distaste, and our appetite far gone. We asked for one of the burgers to be removed from our order and instead of being able to work this out, in a friendly, professional manor with the manager, we were immediately told he would call the police if we didn’t pay for everything. I must stress we were the only black people in the restaurant at the time, and the delivery and sheer size of the commotion made both me and my partner feel as this had strong racial motivations. The manager proceeeded the chase us down the street like criminals, and then after pulling my partner back, asked to have a “conversation” which honestly makes no sense after threatening police action. I really don’t recommend this place. Even before this incident, the atmosphere was dull, under staffed and those who were there were plain rude and nonchalant. To add insult to injury a mushroom burger is priced at at 19£ !!!! We all left seriously in shock, intimidated and of course hungry. Horrible horrible place. And disgusting staff.

We came here for date night after finding out our regular games spot was closed... Will definitely be coming here again!! The staff were very friendly and the service was incredible. They even offered to teach us one of the games we'd chosen because we hadn't played it before. Food was excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Dinner & 2 hours play for 2 people came to £36. Excellent experience.

Absolutely loved it here! So many gluten free options, coeliac friendly, and all food was vegan but didn’t even think about it, it was so good! I was kinda expecting pizza for ‘slice’ and dice so it was a surprise to be plant-based but I was really impressed with the options. The aubergine rice bowl was so good, I definitely recommend that. It was £4.50 per person for 4 hours, unfortunately I booked at 7pm online and didn’t realise it closed at 10pm so only got 3 hours, but still had a great time trying some new games. Tiny Towns was a personal favourite, as I like a puzzle game, also enjoyed Shoot for the Stars which is a guessing trivia kind of game. The staff here are amazing, super friendly, great with suggestions for games and helping you get started with new ones - it can be a bit daunting looking at the instructions and not knowing where to start but they were super happy to help. Their mint tea was fresh mint and that was lovely and refreshing. Also they were very reassuring and knowledgeable on food options. We felt very well looked after. It was very relaxed and chilled out, and I thoroughly enjoyed an evening here - look forward to coming back again soon and trying some more games!

Extremely friendly, welcoming for newbies. Good selection of games although they could do with some more classics like draughts or dominos etc. The only thing I feel could be I improved is it can get very noisy when the tables are full and the lights are perhaps a little too fluorescent. As an autistic person these things do unfortunately stress me out. Overall, would recommend.

Group of friends Decided to try a new games cafe however left feeling very disappointed and not in a rush to go back and probably won’t. The food took almost 2 hours (it was just pancakes) considering you’re paying £1.50 per person per hour just seems like another way to get more money out of you by making you wait so long for food thus getting more money for the extra time spent. The two male workers were really friendly and polite however the lady on the till didn’t come across welcoming or friendly and the overall vibe in there just seemed very negative and judgmental. The food when it eventually arrived was nice but the wait ruined it. Also if you book a table be aware that if someone in your party doesn’t show up they charge you £5 and you can’t split this either they charge whoever booked (also a rip off considering it’s £1.50 per person) and have never experienced this anywhere else or at any of the other games cafes.

Really lovely space for boardgames food and drinks. Everything is plant based including milkshakes and the menu and there is a strong range of boardgames from serious long game picks to party games. Good for a group of 4 to 6 people. Friendly and nice staff too.

Been wanting to visit for ages and finally got the chance to! Booked in advance, the menu was extensive and all of the food was delicious (impressing even my meat-eating friends!). Many board and card games, our host was charismatic and attentive, offering to explain any of the games if we needed so our time would be better spent. Great variety, especially for someone like me who finds it tricky to focus on tabletop games. Bit pricey, but for the experience it was worth it.

I love coming to slice and dice. The food is amazing and the games are of a wide variety and a selection for group size and ability.

We had a really nice time there, great service, nice atmosphere and plentiful, tasty food. Can't fault it really other than it would be good to see a slightly bigger food menu. It's a tiny thing though and shouldn't put anyone off going.

Nice and cozy cafe to gather with friends and family and learn a new game or play a classic. Tables are decently sized, enough room to play catan 4 players with drinks for everyone. 3 toilets available. Vegan menu with delicious pancakes (American style) with homemade chocolate sauce and whipped cream (non dairy). £1.50 per hour per person is a fair price. 10-12 tables available. Staff are very attentive and friendly.

Me and husband walked past and decided to pop in to have a look at what the shop offered and what kind of food as we both have food intolerances. While doing so we were halfway through our gelato and were asked to leave because it’s a vegan place only. Ironically they were sorbets and sadly they lost a customer! :(

I've been to slice and dice twice now and I've really enjoyed my time on both occasions. The staff here are super friendly and are always around to assist you with anything. The selections of board games available are varied, with plenty of popular titles and plenty that I hadn't seen before! The food and drinks here are phenomenal, I highly recommend the milkshakes they're the best I've had in a long time!

Having been to all of the board game places in the centre of Norwich as well as others, this one is by far the best. Incredible food (convinced me that vegan burgers are delish), great cocktails and a friendly and cosy atmosphere. I've taken a lot of my friends here to introduce them to board games, and played multiple games of well-run Blood on the Clocktower here too. Trans-inclusive; I feel safe here.

I honestly love it here. It's such a cozy place inside, the boardgames selection is massive (it can take a while to choose one) and the staff are lovely too. The food is very tasty, very good potion sizes, and there are options for gluten free too, the drinks are always lovely and just the overall vibe is awesome. Definitely my favourite gaming place in Norwich, and favourite to just chill with friends with some good food. I also think that dogs are welcome and overall its a very inclusive and safe space.

Really friendly, knowledgeable staff make this place worth a visit. However our group of 4 found the food to be variable, the vegan burger was a great success but the bao buns did not go down well. The homemade lemonade is a nice speciality. We will visit again but maybe just for games and drinks.

The ambiance of Slice and Dice is just great. The staff are friendly and very customer oriented. I ate the catan burger and for the life of me, it was the best burger I had had in Norwich for a long time. My friends had the sharing nachos and it was super big, we all had to eat from theirs. The games too are lovely and some are easy to learn. It’s definitely a good place for bonding and a great meal. I’d definitely recommend.

Went for breakfast. Had a lovely meal. Partner had pancakes = wonderful. I had breakfast muffin. The only thing I would say is that, for my taste, the hash browns needed a little more seasoning and a bigger plate was asked for. Our server was lovely.

Had the best couple of hours in here we were so sad that we had to leave for dinner reservation elsewhere! Lovely staff who taught us how to play one of their favourite recommended games which was so helpful as that's always the worst bit! Menu looked fantastic and will definitely eat next time. Was one of the highlights of our Norwich mini break and we'll definitely be back!

I've eaten here quite a few times and always enjoy the food! The cocktails and milkshakes are also very good. I'm coeliac and they're very good at accommodating gluten free options and make me feel at ease about preventing cross contamination. The selection of board games is huge and the staff can help you to learn games 😊

First impressions not good. Visited for 1st time seated at the table with menu's. Waited 20mins to have our order taken no one came despite it not being busy at all and staff standing around chatting so we left. Only when we got up did someone come over. Not impressed poor service.

Go for the games, be impressed by the food. A group of four of us (plus one baby) visited Slice and Dice in March 2023. Firstly the staff were incredibly accommodating of us having our 9 month old daughter with us. We were provided with ample space for her buggy in addition to a great wooden high chair. The high chair was perfectly clean, which is actually a rarity in the hospitality space. The selection of games was really good and all seemed in decent condition (some of the more popular ones were a bit more worn but that's to be expected). The staff were on hand to help with any games we chose to try. The food and drinks we were served were really good. We chose a vegan burger, burritos and a curry. All were delicious. The milkshakes were some of the best we've had in a while. We're certainly looking forward to our next visit.

For some reason when I looked up vegan food in Norwich this place wasn't suggested so I'm so glad someone else told me about it. Delicious food, really good portions, lovely and friendly staff. I had the vegan cheeseburger which was so good and we had a chocolate cookie that was amazing. I highly rate this place and would recommend to vegans and non vegans alike. 10/10.

Friends staff with help you choose a game for your mood and skill , and walk you through how to play . Dress it up with some great cocktails , and it’s a great recipe for a good time ! Fantastic service, delicious vegan food - really great place to spend an evening

Fantastic food, friendly staff and a fun social atmosphere. I definitely would come back! The chips were beautifully crispy and tasty, and the rib burger was oozing with yummy sticky yummyness.

The food need to wait toooooooooooooooooooooooo long. The servers felt a bit disrespectful. Never try this again.
