The best restaurants in Sheringham North North Norfolk East of England

We were delighted to know the restaurant was open for lunch and booked a table for us as we were staying at the hotel but invited a local friend to join us for lunch. Great welcome and enjoyed pre lunch drinks in the lovely and comfortable lounge. Lunch was great and there was plenty of food with lots of vegetables, all hot and fresh. The kitchen is open and you can see in from the restaurant which is reassuring. Excellent choice of wines and drinks. We were able to return to the lounge after lunch and continue enjoying more drinks. The team are well organised, polite, friendly and very helpful. The service could not have been better. A huge thank you to Sally, Joanna, Sophie and the rest of the team. Well done - can't wait to come back but don't want to wait another year!! Sal Jones

Fantastic pizza and salad, friendly atmosphere and very reasonable, would reccomend to family and friends or anyone else

We had an ice-cream and sat at one of the little tables overlooking the swimmers in the sea. It was idyllic. It was clear that whoever runs this place takes a lot of care eg there was a pretty butterfly figurine in the lavender pot on each table - a small touch but it tells you something. Lovely place. Highly recommended.

We had spent some time looking for a cake and coffee stop and found this hidden gem by chance. We came quite late in the day so there was not as much choice of cake as there could have been but the rocky road we had was the best we have ever tasted. Absolutely amazing. The man who was looking after us was so friendly and made our visit very very enjoyable. Thank you

Beautiful Edwardian house in Sheringham very close to the promanard and beach. Our room was gorgeous exceptionally clean and fresh. Beautiful bedding so lovely I asked the owner and she very kindly told me where I could purchase for my own home.Very good breakfast...Granola pot was 😋 Thanks for a great weekend stay.

I was out hiking yesterday & needed a pit stop in Sheringham, I happened upon this place & was so pleased I did. I ordered the sweet potato naked bowl & it was sooo good. Perfect view of the beach & a welcome healthy food option but everything on the menu sounded good so it won't be my last stop here. Definitely recommend especially if you're not fancying the usual coastal town food offerings

This long-term local business always delivers. For the friendliest welcome, the best service, and the tastiest ice cream - it has to be Ellie's! Also only 30 seconds stroll from the seafront, perfect to take your ice cream and enjoy the view and the glorious promenade.

Nice little pub with good vibes. Music was good, knowledgeable barman, and a pool table. Chairs and tables outside so you can watch the steam trains when they are on.

I had a wonderful ice cream The portions are of great size for a low price and good quality I will definitely return here and definitely recommend visiting

Atmospheric in feeling God's Love

It was spot on for me. Food was really lovely and the staff were really friendly. Thank you so much for your hospitality I'm definitely coming back.

We had not visited the Bank since pre- lockdown, having been many times previously. We found the attitude and attentiveness of the staff was sadly lacking now. We ordered and when the food came we had no cutlery and had to request napkins. My wife chose lamb biryani. The lamb was very tender but the sauce was bland and lacking flavour. I had the Nepalese style chicken curry and it was delicious. We felt the tables were too close together, in spite of social distancing rules. Overall we felt the place was lacking the friendly, attentive service previously offered. Disappointed. Visited again March 2025. Still no change in our opinion. Food ok but atmosphere still lacking.

Holy smokes! I've lived within 30 minutes of this place for nearly 20 years and never ate here. It is incredible! This was the first of many visits to come in future! Thank you so much for the attention to detail with all 3 courses - soup and pate for starters, chicken and pork for main, sinkhole cheesecake and bread pudding for afters. You can tell the owners really care and take huge pride in what they've created. Staff are attentive and polite. Nice atmosphere as a very small restaurant so not too noisy. Will see you again soon! Free parking in council car parks from 6pm - Morris Street is 2 minute walk away.

This restaurant is fabulous, never mind best in Sheringham in our mind best in North Norfolk . The food is delicious, great service and ambience. We visit whenever we can and recommend it to all our friends who love it as well.
