We had a takeaway and the food was scrumptious!

We enjoyed an excellent takeaway from the Nepalese dishes. Ready on time as agreed and still hot when we were ready to eat some 3 miles away. Delicious food.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The chef is superb, the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Really friendly and efficient staff. A combination of Nepalese and Indian choices on the menu. By far the best food in any restaurant of this type in our area that we’ve experienced.

Stopped in once and had take away once. Fantastic food, amazing flavours and great staff. Try to go every time we visit. The mango chicken is delicious! The Gurkha beer has fresh and crisp flavour to it. Highly recommend.

Wonderful!! Arrived late to Sheringham. Many eating places stopped serving food b4 9pm. So glad they did! Found this lovely Nepalese place. I had Chicken Saag, hubby had their Nepalese curry- borh SO NICE- BIG chunks of chicken. So tasty. Staff were SO lovely, courteous & smiley☺️ . Highly recommended. My wife and I popped in here for supper on my birthday recently. Fabulous! The staff were warm and friendly and very helpful in selecting Nepalise dishes from the menu. When they came they were all beautifully presented, super tasty and very different from usualy Indian fare. Breads were good too. All-in-all a fabulous meal for a reasonable price point.

Delicious Fresh Food! Amazingly light poppadums. What a luxury to be able to taste freshly cooked Nepalese Curry in Sheringham. Definitely the best curry house this side of North Norfolk !

First time visiting this restaurant, clean and smart, service was excellent, kebab starter was fresh hot and tasty, fresh paddadams and great pickle tray. Chicken tikka byriani was perfect and good size pieces of chicken. Really good curry sauce too.Naan bread one of the best I've had in a long time. Finished with apple crumble and ice cream, both good quality. We will definitely return very soon

As the name suggests, this restaurant is housed in an ex-bank. Nepalese food like nothing else we've experienced. Second visit. Brilliant. Worth trying.

Very nice restaurant with the old bank safe in view, which is stunning. The decor is very nice with paintings and photos from Nepal. Went for the lunch menu which was good and we will be back for an evening meal. Recommend a visit, nice staff and food.

Food excellent lovely surrounds in the old nat west bank

Fantastic food cannot recommend to you enough to try the food.

Visited with my lady on a Friday night without a booking. The restaurant was busy & vibrant but luckily there was a 2 seater available shortly after arrival. Being an ex-bank there are tall ceilings and a pair of old study vault doors on the rear wall. Interesting. 2 plain/2 spicy pappadum & chutney tray Achari Chicken Nepalese Style Lamb Curry Garlic Naan Saffron Rice A beautiful meal. Every bite was eagerly consumed with some plate sharing also. Chicken & lamb were beautiful cooked perfectly and tender throughout. The rice was a excellent accompaniment to be mixed in with our sauces. The naan bread was cooked perfectly with no burns to the base and a tasty garlic garnish atop. A really nice ambiance to the room with the courteous and not too insistent service made for a very good meal experience. Good reputation well deserved.

Started off with Lamb Momo, oh my so divine. Lamb almost melt in the mouth. They guys excelled here. Best Momo ever, est, see what I did there?! Followed by chilli honey chicken and kasmiri rice. Dropped on this when looking for parking. I'm so glad we went in as we had such a fantastic meal. Generous portions and a lot to choose from. One of the tastiest curries we've ever had. So anyone passing through Sherringham it's a must go place to eat.

I thought long and hard how many stars to give, 3 it is. Thats because on a meal for 4 people it was so hit or miss. The curry sauce tasted like Tomato soup from a can, the lamb on the mixed grill was absolutely amazing and better than the Michelin star Indian I go to in London. The Onion Bhija was the worst I have ever had with little to no onions and a glue type flavour. I'm cant see how people are giving it 5 stars. Perhaps I was there on an off night. I was in town for one night and the reviews don't reflect the meal I had.

Here on holiday absolutely awful worst chicken tikka masala I've had in my life literally heinz tomato soup with spices in it, how on earth did they great reviews is beyond mee angry slot of money 😡😔

Very popular place amoung the locals. I found the place too dark for my liking. It wasn't easy to read the menu either which is printed in black background.

Just fabulous! Have been many times and love the place. High quality, well cooked food and superb service. The Tandoori chicken starter is amazing and my honey chilli chicken with special rice was packed with chicken and so flavoursome.

We had a very nice meal here and I really enjoyed the Tibetan curry. The atmosphere is a little echoey and "cold", but the service and cleanliness are excellent.

Had a meal here with my partner, both of us enjoyed the food. The momo was seriously good but we both agreed that the curries could have done with a bit more spicing, as we had different curries but they tasted quite similar. Amazing naan breads and rice. Would happily go back.

Fantastic meal on Saturday lunch time, food quality and service was well above the price. One of our party was gluten free and the attentive staff were more than able to give advice. Nicely presented starters. Chicken Tikka Massala a bit disappointing as basically Chicken in tomato sauce with a bit of spice. Very helpful and friendly waitress disappeared half way through the meal and The Maitre D decided to bang and crash his way through the remainder of the evening. Very strange.

Have you heard about the theory of a mirror universe? The idea goes that everything that exists in the primary universe is also present in the mirror universe although usually incorporating antithetical features. Well it turns out the theory is true! And proof exists in the otherwise unremarkable town of Sheringham in Norfolk. I present my evidence. In Sheringham there is a Nepalese restaurant called The Bank. It attracts mainly 5 star reviews and is renowned for its great food, friendly service and pleasant decor. Yet there is another restaurant in Sheringham also called The Bank that serves completely stock meat and sauce meals served by apathetic and surly staff while retaining the charmless ambiance of a high street bank. Sadly we visited the latter.

Have just had my dinner here this evening and have to say this place is outstanding the food and service are second to none probably one of the best restaurants in norfolk

We were looking for somewhere to eat, we didn't know the area, and found The Bank and thought we'd give it a go. Absolutely lovely meal, very tasty. If we are ever in the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

We visited the Bank after some great feedback from our hosts. Highly recommended the service was swift the food was amazing, they do Indian as well as Nepolese, which we both had. The Gurka beer is lovely nice addition to the curry and authentic feel of the meal.

We visited the Bank, after some good feedback for our hosts were we stayed. The food was excellent, we went for the nepolese options as we'd had a curry the night before. The food lovely differently spiced to Indian with good heat, nice portion and great naans. The Gurka beer is recommended, just wish we lived closer. Very friendly informative staff. As a first experience of Nepalese food the verdict was outstanding. Nepalese curry was full of flavour, pleasantly spicy without being harsh, garlic naan delicious and not too stodgy and overall a great meal at good value. Service was excellent, but Sheringham was bitterly cold that evening so top tip is to sit well away from the doors to prevent being blasted by artic air every time the door opens

This is the second time we have eaten out at " The Bank" in Sheringham. Again a excellent meal (curry, rice and all the trimmings) and service. Looking at going back again in September.

Had a meal at The Bank for the first time on Wednesday 9th March.The decor was intriguing as elements of the building as a former Lloyds Bank had been retained including the safe. The layout was good with plenty of space between the tables . Very attentive staff and our meals came quickly, but it was early in the evening and not too busy. Our first taste of Nepalese food and we were not disappointed. It was all absolutely delicious especially the sweet Naan bread. The whole experience was delightful. We will definitely be back and would recommend The Bank .

Lovely Indian food with a Nepalese twist!

Went this evening and had a wonderful meal I had chicken Betesku and hubby had king prawn Nepalese curry, with paneer, peshwari naan and a side of fried squid and special fried rice, all perfectly cooked. Staff are extremely nice and friendly and a lovely atmosphere, the Ghurkah beer was very good too. 100% Satisfied 😊

Travelled 100 miles to eat here and it was worth every mile... Superb food and service! Only thing I would change is....dim the lighting, it's a bit bright.
