Been here lots of times over the years, and still really good. Gets busy as popular, and popular for a reason - it's really good. Lovely breakfast, lovely staff, lovely location and really good coffee. Chilly, windy morning but log burner on inside and cosy atmosphere. Lots of staff, so great service and great choice of food. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous breakfast, everything was lovely and hot and didn’t wait long for the food to arrive. Coffees were lovely also Nice to have option of how you wanted your eggs done with the breakfast All the staff were very friendly, we returned the next day for coffee and again it was lovely

Great service, and really nice coffee. Sadly the Pork Pie lacked flavour and was dry and both meat at pastry crumbled on cutting, so a little disappointing. Amazing location and views, don’t be put off by the pie, just a blip on this excellent Cafe/Restaurant.

Sheringham appears to have become... how might one say it... 'Kiss me quick'? But not this place. This is a nice well ordered family business, the food is excellent and at a sensible price point. After the bustle of the main strip this is an oasis of calm. Try their Eggs Lexington? (think Eggs Royale - Poached Eggs, Salmon, Hollandaise type sauce) - or watch with amusement as your child attempts to fight their way through the Pancakes with summer fruits.

Always love it here. Top service and quality food and drink.

Such a lovely brunch here with my Mum for Mothers Day she was wondering where I was taking her. The staff all react so quickly to help and clear and serve. We sat outside after eating inside. Busy and yet didn’t have to wait as long as expected. Definitely deserves all 5 stars! 🌟

Wow what a find , 1st visit to the beautiful, friendly , clean Sheringham . Found this on google , reviews looked great so got the map out & found it tucked away not far from the town. Wow what a lovely place with sea views , amazing staff , artwork on sale , amazing cakes , daughter loved the coffee she fussy & said was lovely , high chair , baby changing , & I must say I loved the little touches in the ladies toilet. Price wise excellent. Brownie yummy , homemade scone clotted cream jam, pot Yorkshire tea & coffee £14 , we left a £2.50 tip as well worth it See u again when we visit next month

Whelk Copper is a must for breakfast if in Sheringham. Located at the bottom of the High Street they have a fantastic range of tea, coffees and cakes to match the breakfast menu that always hits the spot. If possible request a seat by the window for fantastic views of the sea.

Yet another return visit to savour the amazing gluten free cream tea with delicious fruit scones, clotted cream and jam. We arrived just before the lunchtime rush and were lucky enough to have a window seat. We’re never disappointed at this lovely venue.

Lovely cafe with a good variety of choices on the menu - mid March but busy and clearly popular - no wonder - friendly attentive staff, very accommodating with the dog. Top notch food, great freshly made cakes and coffee. Thank-you - made for a great break in the middle of our long walk.

Super enjoyable sitting outdoors in the sun for brunch. Incredibly busy , warned when ordering there would be a long delay due to other food orders to prepare - appreciated the heads up from friendly and incredibly busy staff . 1 star dropped as food a bit cold when it arrived .

Stopped here for breakfast whilst cycling around Norfolk with some friends. When the sun is out it is a lovely place to sit outside and admire the sea view. The breakfast was excellent and the staff really friendly. I'd definitely go back. A great spot all round.

What a lovely setting looking out to sea, and we were greeted warmly on arrival. Excellent flat whites and the cakes were amazing... we had date and ginger, and orange and almond. Service was both efficient and friendly. Based on todays experience, we would happily return when next in Sheringham.

I visited Whelk Coppers for breakfast while staying locally, and it was a great choice. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. I opted for the French toast, and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also noticed the cakes on the menu, which looked really tasty, though I didn’t try it this time. Overall, a lovely spot for a hearty breakfast and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu next time! Highly recommend!

We always enjoy are food and coffee when we visit here looking out across the sea. Staff are friendly and efficient here.

Inside the cafe is cramped. The coffee machine sounds like a car assembly factory creating a hideous racket with staff banging and crashing objects hard and brash. Staff need training. Not welcoming, not aware of their own table numbers, a bit flaky. Crashing crockery and darting around. Outside we sat at a table with nothing on it but were expected to know the menu when asked. It's a shame as it has potential. It's the location and some reasonably edible food keeping the place going for now. I had soup. Nothing special with a wedge of granary bread like a patio slab and a frozen brick of butter of which I couldn't spread. £15 soup and a sandwich, a cold bum and poor service.

Lovely food staff and atmosphere

I visited for breakfast on a damp & grey Sunday with a friend and we were met by a roaring log burner and a very friendly young member of the waiting staff. Beautifully decorated, the restaurant itself has a very welcoming feel to it . The breakfast menu had plenty of choice and looking around the room at everyone else’s food it was difficult to choose as everything looked amazing! We both ordered the skinny breakfast consisting of mushrooms, avocado, roasted tomatoes, poached eggs, beans, spinach & sourdough toast. It was plentiful and absolutely delicious. The coffee was also delightful. Great food (perfect poached eggs) & fabulous friendly service we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back soon!

Great experience. Went with my wife and our 2 young boys for breakfast. Even though it very busy the staff looked after us exceptionally well . Childrens menu was great with the added bonus of being served on child friendly plates and cups etc. Food and drinks was top notch with choice of traditional and more modern options. It is dog friendly .Set in a lovely period building overlooking the sea. Highly recommend a visit.

Popped in for breakfast - great views of coast. Had the full English breakfast minus the beans plus extra mushrooms. Excellent, all great stuff especially the sausage.

This is a lovely cafe and very nice, friendly staff. Was very popular and I suspect a nice place to have a cuppa outside Personally i found the food ( I had veg fritter type things) bland - they were a bit soggy. The salad was nice. We both felt our meals were a bit disappointing but it is friendly and cosy

Fantastic setting right on the sea front. Crab sandwich on granary for me and cheese and chutney on granary for the wife, washed down with tea for two. Visit if you can and spy the Walt Disney gates! All in all a very pleasant place if a little chilly sat outside. Well it is the beginning of autumn 🍂

As soon as we entered we were welcomed and shown a table despite it being very busy. Our order was taken soon after and delicious drinks were given almost immediately. Not long after we received our meals which we enjoyed. I cannot commend the staff highly enough for their friendliness and attention.

We both had the excellent Full English and I had a perfect flat white and husband had a good strong pot of Yorkshire tea a great way to start our day. Waiting staff smiley and welcoming. Highly recommend

Looking for somewhere to eat with our dogs on a very rainy day in Sheringham. Came across this fantastic place. The service was great with very friendly staff. The food was delicious and good coffee too. The menu had a good selection and we opted for the veggie options of sweet potato falafel salad and mushrooms with Stilton on toasted sourdough bread. The sea views are fabulous from the garden as you’re just above the beach, unfortunately we could only look at the view through the rain covered window, but we will definitely return on a brighter day to enjoy the garden views.

A lovely spot looking over the sea. The staff were very accommodating in providing us with the option to order breakfast to takeaway as we were staying across from them. The food was delicious - we had a Full English and pancakes. Highly recommend!

We are there as I write. I chose a simple meal & it arrived hot, well presented by pleasant & efficient staff. My wife had a cream tea & tells me we will be eating here more often. Why would I argue??

Very busy cafe with good selection on menu and reasonably priced. I had a lovely crab sandwich, definitely good value for money. Staff friendly and we were served quickly. Worth a visit.

We visited twice during our holiday to Sheringham and both visits were wonderful. Super friendly staff, delicious food that was beautifully presented and our Labrador pups were welcomed both inside and out. Fabulous decor and great views over the seafront. We've already booked another holiday and so will definitely return to this little gem. Highly recommended.

Struggling to find places open at 4pm, we found this place for a drink. We enjoyed fresh coffee, a welcoming service and excellent value.

A breakfast gem for sure. Ordered breakfast and a chai tea with oat milk(thank you). All i can say is, if ever you are in sherrington, the Whelk Coppers Offers the most amazing breakfast, lovely sea views and great service. Vegan breakfast too, which is a big plus. Thank you,Kim and Denise

Bought crab sandwiches. Crab was fresh and delicious. Bread was nice too. Although I feel that with some imagination and innovation the crab sandwiches could be modernised and alternatives offered (baguette maybe). Side salad was pretty pathetic. Service was not great. Waited to be sat as instructed, ignored by waitress who clearly saw us, so ignored the notice and made our way in. Whilst we were sat outside at exactly 3pm (according to our phone, I checked), two people waiting to come in at the entrance sign, only to be informed by the staff that no they were no longer serving crab sandwiches. Potential customers lost, as of course this is what is famous in this area. Cafe was still open and still had quite a few patrons. Poor service, and suspect the previous day when it was absolutely pelting down with rain were probably moaning at the lack of customers. This cafe feels like it’s stuck in the 1980’s. Will not return.

Fantastic tea rooms in Sheringham with great views of the seafront. So popular there is usually an hour wait on food - I'd advise to get there early or be prepared to wait for a table! Definitely worth the wait though! Something for everyone, children's menu available, and a variety of hot or cold food. Lovely staff and well taken care of.

Lovely place in a lovely location right on sea front with lovely views. Tables inside and outside staff are very friendly and service is excellent. We always come here and their sister cafe in Holt Wandering Whelks. Great selection of meals, cakes and drinks all at good prices. Dogs welcome as well.

Amazing. Very friendly staff and good food and drinks. Good vegan and non vegan breakfast. They had no problem with our dietary requirements and allergies.

I would highly recommend this little gem. We had breakfast every day inside and out. It has a lovely outside area and is very dog friendly too. The service and food was consistently excellent even when they were very busy. Well done team & we will definitely be back.

It's a tea room that is doing it right! Great communication from the start, seated quickly and order taken in good time, in a warm, friendly manner. We only ordered tea and a samosa but it was home made and delicious. We had an ogle at what other people were ordering and it all looked great.

We visited for breakfast on a Sunday. At no point when we were seated at our table or when the girl took our order were we told about the 1 hour wait for food. Had we known this then we would have gone elsewhere. Many other guests were complaining too. It’s simply not on to not communicate this verbally on arrival. Drinks took 15 mins to arrive and we’d drank those well before the food arrived. Food was lovely though. They discounted the drinks after I complained but to be honest, the damage was done by then. We won’t return as there are many coffee shops and breakfast venues in Sheringham to choose from. Unfortunately it’s disappointing given the quality of food served and the very positive reviews on Tripadvisor.

What a great find Whelk Coppers was. Super friendly and helpful staff. Always smiling and happy to chat. The Liverpudlian lady, the ‘Pretty Flamingo’ lady…..all of the staff were wonderful. Food was great with good GF options. Would definitely recommend this place.

A stunning gem of a tea room to enjoy a cream tea. The outside tables have a great view of the sea which makes this place even more special. The food was fresh and well presented which is why I will definitely pay a return visit. Dogs are most welcome.

Nice homecooked style food. Good selection of breakfast dishes, light snacks and sandwiches, cakes and snack type food. Lovely fire in the winter. Great selection of seating inside and out. They do what they do well. a well deserved 5 stars. Edit - as a local I have been many, many times but find myself increasingly disappointed both with the service and food. Its still a fantastic spot but I really hope they get back on track and up the standards to where they used to be. It is no longer my go to place.

What a lovely place First of all,the welcome outside meant you weren't squashed in atthe door whilst waiting for a seat I was welcomed,given a choice of where seats were available and made my way in knowing where to sit I popped in as I was waiting for my sister and got the train times wrong I was on my own but felt very comfortable The coffee was absolutely amazing and the scone delicious I was asked if I wanted it warmed up and am so glad I said yes I would thoroughly recommend this coffee shop

Called in for a coffee but the menu and food being delivered to other tables convinced us to stay for lunch… we weren’t disappointed! Delicious sandwiches, poached eggs on sourdough and a toasted tea cake were all tasty and fresh, reasonably priced. Lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the beach, dog friendly. Very cheerful and accommodating staff.

Great place on the sea front. The atmosphere and decor was really nice. The staff were really lovely and very attentive. The coffee was tasty and the French toast was fantastic and a nice big portion! Took some delicious homemade cakes to go. Definitely would recommend this place.

Loved this cafe for a midweek lunch. Very friendly and accommodating towards our young toddler, who enjoyed beans on toast and playing with their toys. Big bonus for wide range of gluten free options for my husband. Lovely setting, right by a nice bit of beach, most people choosing to sit outside with great view, although we chose inside this time. Very friendly, would return to sample what looked like delicious cakes.

Have no hesitation in highly recommending Our party of eight and 2 dogs were quickly accommodated, the service was friendly and efficient, you could clearly tell all the ingredients were of a high quality, and everyone was very impressed with there food, they clearly care about what they do, and also has a great atmosphere.

First time visit and it was well worth it... even sitting outside in a chilly 'off the sea' wind! They do have blankets ......Staff are really welcoming although they were really busy and what a good idea, to have a sign with wait time for food. They have a good menu looking to be all freshly made. I had a delicious crab sandwich and my husband, a scone with jam and cream, with a piece of cake to eat later. If we are in Sheringham again, we will definitely be back.....

Seriously pretty mocha and rather yummy cake. There were a couple of people in with dogs and all were impeccably well behaved. The retriever was a real sweetie !

Lovely wood panelled room and the friendliest staff you could imagine. The coffee was one of the best I have had and the crab sandwich, although not cheap, was filled with crab meat. The sausage roll was also tasty and large. We will be going again.

Went in for a coffee and stayed for brunch, we had bagels, pastrami, gherkins and emmenthal, also avocado, hummus, rocket and seeds. Both were very nice, service was excellent, good prices too. Not forgetting the excellent location

Haven't been here for a couple of years but staying locally so tried again. Popular and lovely setting. Some big improvements. Light and airy with great sea views inside and out. Lovely breakfast with wide choices. Efficient and really friendly staff. And some cakes taken away for later. Highly recommend.

Lovely afternoon tea and cake at Whelks. The tea room is actually open into the late afternoon when most people want to have a hot drink. We had mocha, chai latte and iced chai latte. All were delicious, with the mocha one of the best we have tasted. Accompanying the drinks we had a lemon cake which was moist and light, a nutella brownie which was rich and fudgy and a millionaire shortcake, which was buttery and rich. Service was great and we came out stuffed! Whelks is highly recommended.

Enjoyed a cream tea and as the scones were large shared it with my husband with an extra coffee - plenty for 2. Came with good portions of cream and jam and I had 2.5 cups of tea out of the pot. we sat inside as it was a miserable day but seating outside overlooking the sea. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.

Very blowy day in Sheringham! This lovely tearoom is tucked along the promenade by the lifeboat station. Very welcoming friendly servers and lovely poached eggs on sourdough plus a great cuppa which was perfect after running around on the beach. The cakes looked amazing too! Super dog friendly. We liked that they were twinned with a toilet scheme in Tanzania too. Make sure you check out the art on the garden walls and the quirky gates. Highly recommended.

Accidentally stumbled across this place following our beach walk and I'm so glad we did!! What a gem! Cosy, warm, dog friendly and they serve great food and coffee plus the scones were gorgeous.

The food and atmosphere are nice, but the service is really inadequate. Only one of the 3 vegan breakfasts you ordered arrived, and when we asked, they said yes, it will come but After that, when we asked again, they said you only ordered one, and then we ordered two more vegan breakfasts again.
