North @ Burlington in North Norfolk

This restaurant, within the hotel, but open to the public, is perfect. The service was excellent, friendly and professional. The food was exceptional - beautifully presented and very tasty. We can see why it is so popular with the locals and we look forward to eating here again - simply a great experience!

We arrived slightly late for dinner, received a very warm welcome and were seen into the lovely restaurant. It’s quite small, so would advise booking. We didn’t catch the name of our host (believe she also runs the hotel), but she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We’d hope to return later in the week, but had to return home early. Highly recommended.

Food was excellent, freshly cooked to order and service polite All in all one of the better restaurants around HOWEVER we would really have preferred to order and wait at our table rather that in the lounge, which seemed to be impossible, and the lack of understanding about allergies was astounding!

Visited twice; food was good and staff were excellent. Average size restaurent, quite noisy. Compared top other lacal establishments, it was overpriced by about 25%

Have just had the BEST Sunday Lunch that we have ever had in a restaurant. Couldn’t fault it in any way, from the girl greeting us to the best roast potatoes and melt in your mouth Beef. Desserts are just as delicious.

A nice boutique hotel restaurant with lovely food and drink. Starting with a cocktail in the garden followed by a delicious two course dinner with wine at a very reasonable price. Certainly a venue we will visit again when in Sheringham.

We visited over the weekend for my sister's 60th birthday celebration, and we couldn't have picked anywhere better. The weather was fab so we were able to enjoy a pre- dinner drinks in the garden before dinner. The food was amazing and every dish we ordered was perfect. Love that you can see everything being prepared. The ladies that attended to us were spot on, very friendly and attentive but not overpowering. When we visit Sheringham again, we'll definitely be back, we loved it. Thankyou

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and everything about our stay was enjoyable.Everybody was very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts and dinners were sumptuous. The room was immaculately clean. Had dinner here with friends. Pre drinks outside as a warm evening. Very pleasant reception with table service from start to finish. A short but varied menu gave ample choice. Food was excellent and service also. Clean and nicely decorated maybe Regency property in the smart part of Sheringham. Certainly go there again.

Two course Sunday lunch started with mussels and then roast pork dinner. All food was amazing would highly recommend. The restaurant itself was also very nice not too big and service was great.

We came here for Sunday lunch and had some delicious food. The place provided a limited set menu and we were happy with what was on offer. There was a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Although not cheap, we felt the menu was reasonably priced. The only thing I’d have changed is I’d have preferred not to be seated in the middle of the room and to have a choice of seating.

A return visit to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and as always we had a wonderful evening. Drinks in the lounge preceded our meal…the North Star cocktail is my firm favourite! Our daughter enjoyed her North 42 gin and tonic and as always my husband had a duration beer. The food was delicious…my daughter and I both had the fillet steak for our main course…it was literally the best steak we had ever had…absolutely melt in the mouth! Lovely family owned hotel and restaurant. Really pleasant, decent sized comfortable rooms. Well situated close to the town and the sea. Would recommend. Dinner was also very tasty and busy.

A belated birthday meal from my husband - cocktail's first in the cosy lounge and then a lovely meal in the restaurant. We enjoyed the food so much we booked for Sunday lunch the next day. We enjoyed two evening dinners whilst staying at the Burlington Berties hotel, where we found the rooms both enchanting and comfortable. The menu itself was promisingly short - a few starters, mains and desserts that included meat, fish and vegetarian with a good selection on the wine list. There were three in our party and we sampled a range - all the dishes were expertly cooked and presented, absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive; we enjoyed the fact that you could see everything going on in the kitchen. The proprietors Sally and Joanna made us feel very welcome - we have no hesitation to make a whole hearted recommendation to dine at North at Burlington. Simon and Yang.

Booked Sunday Lunch for 1pm. When we arrived we were shown to the lounge for a drink before our dinner. I got to try a gin cocktail with hubby having a beer. We were also given the dinner menu to coise our starters and mains. We were shortly then shown to the dinning room and given our starters which were the special being crab pate, which was delicious. We then had the roast beef and both my hubby and I said it was one of the best roasts we've had in years. The beef literally melted in your mouth, the yorkshire pud was huge and really flavoursome and it was just lovely. We ended with hubby having the trifle and I had the lemon drizzle, which again was just delicious. Staff very attentive, surroundings high end and a fab afternoon of good eating. Thoroughly recommended.

I came for Sunday Lunch in December and wow what an experience. This was my third visit and every time it is an amazing experience from start to finish. We were greeted by some very friendly staff, we were slightly early but was not a problem as we could have a pre-dinner drink in their drinks lounge. We were then given some menus whilst we enjoyed our drinks and explained the specials of the day. I decided to go for their Sirloin of Beef which is served pink, exactly to my liking. We then were seated at our table with a beautiful open kitchen where we could see the chefs hard at work alongside a vibrant atmosphere in the restaurant. Our mains arrived and wow it is the best beef I have ever tasted… flavoursome and so tender. I decided for dessert as I had enough room to have their trifle, one of my new favourites! Having visited many restaurants in Norfolk, I found the quality of the food was excellent at a reasonable price. Everything was home cooked. An excellent experience from start to finish and cannot wait to return again!

Went for Sunday Lunch and was told the Beef comes Pink and that’s final, not a good start when we both prefer medium to well done.. it eventually came and we had to ask again to fry up the beef to get rid of the Pink, it wasn’t even that tasty for the price you pay .. not that friendly place and I thought customer is always right not the Chef. !! The Village Inn West Runton beats it hands down for everything

My partner and I booked for Xmas lunch, it was a fantastic experience, great atmosphere, the food was amazing, we chose to have the wine pairing and each one complemented the meal perfectly. I recently dined at this restaurant/ hotel with my family for a Sunday roast dinner. Unfortunately I found it to be overpriced for the average quality. Considering the prices charged, I expected better than a basic flavourless roast dinner. We had our children with us and ordered them roast dinners without being given the option to see this on a menu so we were very surprised when we were informed it was £17 for a child’s meal too. I I would not recommend this restaurant, we are used to dining at brancaster White House when we visit the coast and this was a similar price but no where near the quality.

Always good food and hospitality, one of the best places to eat in Sheringham. Especially foe Sunday roast. Great cocktails, even one one the menu now that i helped to invent.
